Room was kept in impeccable condition by Staff everyday during my stay.

The power went due to weather conditions for a few hours and was quickly restored.

The room came with a TV which showed local and cable tv programs.
Since the power outage and restoration the tv didn't work even after speaking with reception several times no one reached out to me afterwards with feedback to find out if everything was ok.

The broadband also went down due to the power outage. There was secured internet service previously provided before the power outage.
When the power came back we were provided with an internet service which wasn't secure.

I stayed for 2 weeks without tv service and it miraculously came back on the day I was leaving.

I don't think I would stay there again for a long stay. Maybe a weekend

The room didn't have a microwave,also it was very noisy during the night and , early morning 😔 loud talking and door slamming, also I stayed for almost a month with no Gym it was out of service 😞, and no laundry in the hole, so out of a 100% I'll give it 30%👎

Good.just typical. The room is clean. But when we arrived there is no water. The towel bar handle is damaged. The AC is old and will take time to cool. The TV speaker is not good as tv is old. The place is quite. Breakfast food is fine but not satisfactory. Secured hotel though. We bought drinks on the bar like water and soda, price seems overcharge as the staff changed the price in the middle of us paying.

Altamont court is not the ritz if you want the ritz then be prepared to pay a multiple of 10 times the going rate for Altamont. The offer is exactly what you should expect it’s relatively clean the fixtures are serviceable and the staff are more than pleasant. Don’t expect the elevators to work or hot water to be in the pipes again that’s what is on offer. I will however say that always strive to be the best in your class. It’s amazing how the most minor things derail that effort. For example check that the batteries for the television remote are not dead. Don’t use a universal remote to manage the air condition units. This was the excuse given by the young man trying to fix the AC in my room. It really never worked. The cost of these fixes are relatively inexpensive it’s just a matter of attention to detail. Overall would I recommend Altamont for a quick solo stop. Absolutely at the price it is just about best in class.

I arrived around 11 AM and requested an early check-in but was denied by Shanae, who was very impolite and informed me the earliest check-in would be at 1 PM. I waited as the only guest in the lobby until after 1 PM. Then an American guest walked in and was immediately checked in and given a room while I was still waiting. When I asked why she was allowed to check in before me, I was met with attitude.

Throughout my entire four-night stay, I consistently encountered staff with poor attitudes. The only time I was acknowledged was on the second day at breakfast—after I tipped both waitresses, who then treated me more pleasantly the following morning. It seems tipping is the only way to receive courteous service here.

I want to thank Shoshana and one of the housekeepers, who were the only staff members that offered genuinely good service and made me feel welcome.

The room was spacious and the AC worked well, but there was hardly any hot water. The area is not suitable for walking at night. This hotel has potential as a budget-friendly option if they improve their customer service, but based on my experience, I doubt I will return.

Loved the Altamont Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica!

A beautiful, clean, comfortable hotel.
The view of the mountains from the windows is stunning.
Close to many local attractions including the Bob Marley Museum, Devon House, Enancipation Park, Blue Mountain and more …
Excellent restaurant and bar.
Friendly, helpful staff. Loved them!
Good choices for the inclusive breakfast.
Great efficient, always on time taxi service and tour guide.
(Mr. Roxy -Rocky is commendable!)
Suggestions: they could update the furniture and decor in the rooms.
Also have a separate trash can for plastics in the rooms.
I would definitely stay here again.
