It was just an odd place. I got stuck in NYC when my flight got cancelled. This place was one of the least expensive with decent reviews. It is in an odd part of Queens, but not too far from LGA. It is attached to a laundry mat. The lady was nice at the desk though and I had been up for over 24 hours so I took the room.
The hallway had a bunch of laundry in it, but the room was clean, sheets were nice, good a/c, refrigerator and small but clean bathroom.
It seems to be a Chinese run hotel, the door handle and other things were in Chinese. It really smelled of Chinese food, I thought maybe there was a restaurant below?There was a lot of commotion during the evening with people screaming in Chinese and fighting, someone was watching Chinese TV next door very loudly. My TV didn’t work so my room was quiet. It did settle down though at around 11 and it was quiet the rest of the night.
I don’t know if I would stay again, but overall it wasn’t horrible and I got the sleep I needed.

I really liked the location of the hotel. The staff was friendly. The shower was very nice. The bed was comfortable. I wish there was a full length mirror. I also wish there was somewhere to unpack my stuff & more hanging space. The best part was that it was a 4 min walk to the bus to Main street Flushing & a deli/convenience store
Also only about a 6 min walk to College Park with tons of delicious mom & pop diners/restaurants, discount stores, groceries, market/delis. I would stay here again.
There is a restaurant on the lobby floor, but it was closed for maintenance. I also think there is a dance club on the 1st floor or a ballroom. It was bumping Saturday night, but it did not disturb our sleep.

The rooms were decent, it was just inconvenient that in order to get your room cleaned daily you’d have to let the staff know and even if you left the sign on, your room wouldn’t be cleaned. I let the staff know and my room was not cleaned, so the cleanliness wasn’t all there but it does have a hidden gym, small fish pool area, even massage chairs and a big laundry mat within the hotel which was very convenient. If you’re going to Manhattan though prepare to take about an hour in subway and buses to get there. The staff were friendly though and for the most part helpful. I would wish that you could just get your room cleaned without having to ask them or at least they let you know in advance I was always on the go so letting them know before I left was difficult and calling the hotel can be a hassle as they don’t answer the phones often.

I was pulled in by what seemed to be the location, beautiful hotel, and rope & slippers. I did not get any of that. check in was a breeze but i did not have the robe in the room and when i went to ask about it they said they ran out. and i went the next day and asked again and was told again they ran out. Never saw slippers. This isn't near anything to do and no public transport is decent in the area. The gym equipment is actually from TEMU. Im not joking I looked it up.

Hotel very small. Rooms small trash cans small, parking lot small. It was well maintained and visibly clean. Parking lot super super small. Parking lot shared with Laundromat. Parking very limited. Drive way in and out super super super small. Bumpers on poles to prevent damage to vehicle as you enter the lot. Hotel is a ok place to sleep and shower. Parking lot had cameras. Not sure if they worked. I did see cameras. That made me feel better leaving the fully insured rental car.

Some staff were awesome, but I had to ask for everything, no microwave in the room, it's taking 3 to 5 days to get my deposit the bedding was nasty. The steps was nasty I felt like I was in a low income area, I had no room service to come back and find my stuff have been moved and there was housekeeping, I called to report that. I won't stay here again I'm sorry. I read the good reviews coming from South Carolina it probably was fake reviews, the hallway carpet has stains and smelled nasty.

This was for an overnight stay due to cancelled flights. The front desk gentleman was as nice and gracious as he could be, but their system is terrible. I waited 30 minutes to check in, all four customers before me had troubles from occupied rooms to the wrong type of room. My assigned room was occupied when I tried to enter it, they gave me another one. Someone tried to enter my room at 2 AM. When checking out, the elevator locked up on me and the card key wouldn’t let me out, I had to phone the front desk. The room itself was clean and modern, but the management leaves much to be desired.

THE RATING WAS COMPLETELY MISLEADING

I can't believe this hotel had a rating of 8.9 on hotels.com when I booked this hotel. My bath mat was in shreds, dingy, fraying with numerous threads surrounding the edges. I can't believe they were still using it instead of trashing it.

The carpet in the hallway was dirty, the elevator carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in many weeks.

While staying at this hotel for eight days seven nights, we did not receive room service the entire stay the hotel itself seemed clean, and the staff were nice. Although the towel warmer in the room did not work and we only received two towels for the whole week. We had also paid for a city view room and received a room that overlooked their laundry mat attached to the hotel so all we saw the roof of a laundromat. The mini fridge in the room seem to consistently leak water. I try not to complain too much as I did not try to spend it very much time in the room as I was exploring the city although for the price, I definitely think there could’ve been improvements made. I will reiterate, though I am sure if I would have asked the front desk for towels I could’ve received them, but as we were coming to the room late every night, we really just wanted to go to bed and the lady at the front was a young lady, and she was always kind and pleasant.

There’s a laundromat connected next to the hotel, along with a restaurant that’s connected to the lobby itself. Bus stops within less than a 5 minute walk, which can connect you to the bus to get to Manhattan.

Also, some rooms get Manhattan skyline views which I don’t think gets advertised by the hotel.

We had booked a double room months before our travel date. When we arrived they checked us in and gave us our key. We get to the room and upon entering realize the room was already occupied. The front desk said they didn't know how we were even able to make a reservation since they were full. We stated we've had this reservation. they they offered a single room or find another hotel but at our expense. Being it was now late in the evening we took the single room, which was inconvenient. They didn't offer to compensate for the room difference or anything else. They did give us a double for the second night. Would think twice before booking here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at LY New York Hotel! My husband and I stayed for a few days, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a really convenient location for getting around New York and seeing everything we wanted to see. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home.

This has definitely become our go-to spot every time we’re in New York. We always look forward to staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city—whether it’s your first trip or one of many!

The hotel was clean, but we had a highly frustrating stay and cannot recommend it, especially for families.We had absolutely no hot water during our visit. When we brought this to the staff's attention, there was no apology and no offer to change our room. The employee simply repeated that the manager would not be in until 8:00 AM, which was completely unhelpful since we had to check out and leave by that exact time.Furthermore, this property is not family-friendly due to the bathroom design. The toilet and shower are enclosed in frosted glass that is completely see-through. Anyone in the main room can see you while you are using the bathroom, offering zero privacy for a family. We will not be returning.

Best price in town for a very clean, new hotel at a time of peak occupancy on NYC when other similar hotels would have cost $600+ per night. Many of us sought out Ly Hotel when everything else was booked after flights were cancelled. I was so pleasantly surprised. Minutes away from LGA. I would definitely book again if needing an overnight stay in NYC area near airport.

Overall, it's a decent place for the price paid if you want to be for a few days. The staff is excellent and helpful. There is no breakfast area and the place overall is looking a little uncared for as the gym looks out of order and the elevator carpet has seen better days. The room was pleasant but there is no closets!!! The temperature control I believe is controlled by them and I didn't have time to play with it.

We really liked this place and would definitely stay here again! We specifically searched for a modern, clean hotel at a reasonable price that also offered free on-site parking for our trip to NYC. Since we were renting a car, the parking situation was a major factor for us, and we quickly found that almost none of the surrounding hotels in Long Island City offered free parking. If they did have parking, it was usually $25–$35 per night and sometimes located off-site several blocks away.

The LY Hotel checked every box for us, and we actually enjoyed our stay enough that we extended it from one night to two. The rooms were modern, spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our first night by chance, was in a handicap-accessible room, which had a noticeably larger bathroom than the standard room we stayed in the second night. The standard bathroom was definitely on the smaller side, so larger guests may find it a bit tight. On a minor note, there were no microwaves in the rooms although I beleive one was available to guests in the lobby and there were no luggage stands in the rooms which are always helpful.

What really stood out, though, was how friendly and accommodating the staff was throughout our stay. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Overall, the LY Hotel turned out to be an excellent choice for our trip. For the price, cleanliness, free parking, and overall experience, we honestly felt it was one of the best values in the area.

The room was surprisingly clean expect for the random pink dots on the ceiling above the bed. The bathroom shower definitely had some mold or mildew. The elevator, the hallways were filthy. The hotel does have free parking but the lot is shared with the laundromat so it can get a little busy. Would not stay here again and would not recommend.

Parking is available but scarce. You could end up with having to park on the streets if you check-in late. There is no clear parking regulations or enforcement. Vehicles were just parked anywhere on the property. The room was clean and equipped with everything needed to spend the night. The water supply pipes were loud when taps were turned on and silent when turned off. Neighbour’s included. This woke me up in the middle of the night. Overall this hotel was very good for the price. I recommend it to anybody wanting to stay in NYC by the LaGuardia Airport.

The area around the hotel was questionable just by view. The local bodegas were amazing Sal’s diner was top notch. The hotel itself was clean. Loved the security you needed your card to get into the elevator and you could only go to your floor. The room was lacking a microwave, seating was also tight in the room but sufficient for what we needed. The bed was soft but I prefer a firmer bed. The view was excellent, the shower was great, hot and plenty of pressure. The towel warmer in the bathroom was a super nice touch.

This is not one of those hotels that’s full of amenities and perks but ultimately it’s a clean place to lay your head and has everything that you might need. The staff were polite but they did say your room number aloud . It’s definitely out of the way but again served its purpose.

I had booked this hotel for the dates of April 18-19 and my booking confirmation emails never came through. I realized my booking was made for the incorrect date three days before my planned. I had called the hotel and there was no response. I went through Expedia and they requested a refund for me. I then booked through there website because Expedia notified me they were unable to make a new reservation. I received a confirmation email from their website, I arrived to the hotel on the day of my confirmed booking and they said they had no available rooms. This was a horrible experience for me and I still have yet to get a refund.
