building / rooms were dated & tired. we booked
for cooking facilities but the main pan couldn't be used on induction cook top as it wasn’t compatible so we werent actually able to prepare a meal in the end. we also had a washing machine in our room but no drier or clothes airing rack so found that counter intuitive. found reception staff no very friendly. the photos did not represent the property fairly. we wouldn’t stay again.

The woman who checked us in with extremely rude, not friendly with a nasty attitude. I book this place because I thought that their indoor pool was nice for my kid even if it was raining they can still use them. From the pictures on the web it looked nice. Once we checked in and our kids wanted to go relaxed at the pool, they were hit with a big disappointment. Their pool looked dirty and bugs was all over inside the pool. Looked like no one took care of the pool and the water was gross looking. If you are looking for convenient in food or things to do then you are really limited. For food you have to walk like 10min. and this place is in an ally. There isn’t much to do in the area for family with kids. I booked a family 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. It was a good size unit a pretty clean. We took the master room with some cabinet to put our clothes and the kids took the other room with two twin side bed and literally no cabinets space at all know where to put their clothes. In that room there are no place to put there clothes. The kitchen has dishes, cups, some utensil, a microwave, no cooktop and a sink, refrigerator and balcony that you cannot even go out for fresh air it’s locked. If you’re looking for a place to stay for a quick 1-2 night for a business trip then this place is for you without thinking about going into the pool, but if you are a family with kids, literally avoid this place at all cost! I won’t be returning back for sure, not a good experience!!!!

Very convenient location near mall. Walking distance to kfc and some cafes. Pool was way too shallow but good for kids.
I did NOT get asthma from their mattress or pillows, a rare occurrence for me in hotels.

If you are looking to use the rail network, forget it. I had a car so it suited me.
Gym was not equipped for a proper workout.
Pleasant location.
Kitchen not equipped for cooking. You could warm something in the microwave oven.
Staff were nice.
Overall a pleasant stay.

Overall, this property did not meet our expectations. Some of the towels clearly needed to be replaced (fraying). The window into the bathroom was awkward. There were no hand towels, only full length bath towels. There’s a ventilator, but no stove or hot plate. It’s obvious that there used to be a washing machine, but no more. There’s a kitchen, a kitchen sink and a warning about leaving dirty dishes, but no sponge or soap. We thought the staff were very friendly. I also am so thankful that they held onto my house keys that I had forgotten, but it took many attempts to contact them to receive an answer. They knew it was from my room, they had my contact details, they kept all the forgotten items, but they never contacted me.

pros: it was in a decent location, close to shopping and restaurants. The room was spacious and actually had the first half way decent mattress of our whole trip!!

cons: the front desk guy was less than welcoming and seemed annoyed with us for bothering him when we checked in (early afternoon). The bathroom wasn't well maintained, had mildew all over the grout and tile. you could see where they re-caulked (it was clear caulk) the bathtub and shower... over the top of the mildew. The water for the shower/bath was barely over lukewarm. The beautiful swimming pool the kids (teens) were so excited about was only 3 feet deep, lol.

So good place for sleep (pillowtop mattress), spacious. I would probably stay there again if only for the mattress!!

Very Disappointed

Very Horrible. Upon check in the reception only give me only 1 room which actually i booked 2 room & all been paid. Reception still insists 1 book only 1 room until i told him to read my confirmation e-mail.
The balcony was locked permanently which doesn't made sense. Glasses for drinking was dusty...no complementary coffee or tea in room. You have to go lobby in order to get one. Oh yeah no bell hop to assits you with carrying your luggage upon check in & check out.
You have to walk like 300 meters away inorder to get the nearest 7/11.
BTS station is damp far away. You have to take taxi there. Shuttle tuk tuk provided only at limited hours.
Most disappointed upon check inn you have to put deposit ...which i understand most hotel did but this hotel only accept cash deposit & if you use credit card as deposit..i was shock when the staff told me no refund if use credit card as room deposit upon check out.
I immediately check out the next day even though i had paid for 3 nites for 2 room.
Will never ever check inn in this hotel.

1. Deep soaking bathtub + separate shower
2. Kitchenette (yes i cooked)
3. Tv with movie channels which are not bad (pitch perfect 2, the song etc)
4. Closet with lights
5. Able to watch tv while showering

Cons :
1. No balcony view
2. No face tissues/towels
3. No toothbrush/toothpaste
4. No scotch brite/dishwashing liquid/frying pan/condiments
5. Swimming pool too shallow, around 1m not suitable for swimming.
6. Pool table out of order

Location itself is both good n' bad. Free tuktuk available to nearby bts/ shopping mall and the friendly security guarddownstairs will always help u to get a cab if u need one. Within walking distance would be 7-11, souffle and me, coffee club and oyster bar.. further down there's a supermarket. Despite the cons I'd still recommend this place because it is value for money!

Extra things to take note of :
1. Housekeeping doesn't change your sheets everyday so if u are extra particular then don't pick this place
2. Instant coffee sachets n' any other food/drinks in fridge or on the table top are NOT free. If u want free coffee get out of your room it's beside the reception counter (:

Good location. Short cab ride to Silom Road

This was a great room that would suit a longer stay in Bangkok. A short cab ride from Silom Road or you can take the MRT.

Pool is good. Disappointing you have to buy coffee etc but there is a 7/11 close by with night street vendors for food. Safe area surrounded by apartments in a quiet area.

The staff were extremely helpful and a tuk tuk available for short rides to specific destinations.

I would not hesitate in staying here again

Love this hotel from the first sight of small pretty lobby decorated in British style with complimentary coffee, spacious and comfortable room with separate dining area and kitchennette. On the other hand, it's lack of some amenities usually supplied by hotels of same standard such as shower cap and facial tissues, complimentary inroom coffee/tea despite the kettle provided, dishwashing liquid and sponge which guests might do easy cleaning to reduce unnecessary housekeeping tasks, the latter available in room to purchase! There's hotel shuttle service to public transport and nearby major shopping mall on fixed daily twice schedule.

Go without expectations

1. This hotel doesn't have restaurant, was left to look around in neighbourhood for food being first time in Thailand.
2. Wi-Fi isn't high speed, poor internet connectivity. I kept calling the reception every day because of internet.
3. No tour guide / tour service arrangement from the front-desk.
4. House keeping is daily, but the hotel has weird policy that they won't change the bed-sheets daily :-((. When I asked about this and wanted to speak to the manager over phone, without manners she disconnected the call few times. Further, asked me to go down to speak to her!!! Who is paying here? me or her?
5. It is rated as 4-star hotel? It is a serviced appartment.
6. Breakfast is pathetic, considering that you would get better breakfast for the same value you are paying for. Usually they don't have anything other than beef or pork with some eggs as the main breakfast food. Egg is ok others needs improvement.

Suited our needs and budget shame about location

Didn't really know what to expect you enter through an underground car park which is situated up an alleyway in the middle of nowhere.
The actual hotel is really nice room was adequate for our needs anything you need like iron cooker etc just ask and reception had them sent up straight away.
There was a gym which really was just a single
Multi gym and the pool which we didn't use as it looked like another level of a car park.
It is situated quite a distance from everything and was far from the sky train so taxi taxi ..tuk tuk tuk tuk...make sure they use the meter it's always way cheaper. It wasn't u till our last day that we realise the hotel card from the room has the wrong address on and our taxis kept taking us to the wrong icheck Inn and getting lost.
Overall the hotel suited our needs and suited our budget it's just a shame it's a bit far out.

Not even close to a 4-star hotel as advertised

Entrance to the hotel is through the parking garage full of trash. The reception desk is on the second floor and looks like it belongs in a mechanics garage. The room was dirty, had no facial tissues, hand or face towels, only 2 worn-out bath towels. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly in months. There was a kitchenette with some supplies, but everthing was charged for, including the guest self-make morning coffee. The kettle was broken and there were no tea-towels to dry dishes. Overall a dreadful place and a dreadful experience. We have been travelling around Thailand for 8 weeks and have been very happy with our Expedia hotel experiences except for this awful \"mystery\" hotel.

A nice get away

I really love this place. It's cheaper than other hotels of the same quality but a tiny bit further away. I took the MRT to Chong Nosi and then BRT 3 stops. It was a 5 minute walk from there. I was in no rush. I stayed 4 days and loved it.

Not a easy way to locate this terrible hotel.

First this entire hotel is non smoking. Even the rooms balcony are locked so that guest can't go to the balcony and smoke. Even the non smoker guest like me denied access to balcony. There's no hand towel provided in spite of repeated request. The reception looks like some shady massage parlour reception. The hotel doesn't provide any complimentary tea and coffee at the room, you have to go to reception to get your coffee from the machine installed out there. I never had such a bad experience of staying in a hotel before. Though we had a 3 days booking but we booked another hotel in the next day and stayed there remaining 2 days.

The staff was excellent and very helpful in every way. The rooms were clean and nice, however as we booked it as a Mystery 4-star Deal, we were expecting a little more in terms of facilities, e.g. a bar or restaurant which it did not have. The pool was nice and the atmosphere was very relaxing and peaceful!

Given Bangkok's high level of traffic, it takes very long to reach the city centre as it is quite far away and there is not much to do in the area itself. At the same time, although very comfortable, the aparthotel itself does not offer much space to relax, thus does not serve as a place to chill out for the day. Maybe with a common room, cafe/restaurant or bar this could be improved.

Despite these points, we had a good time. We were well looked after by the team there and the room provided everything that we required including a little kitchen and a bathtub. It is spacious enough and makes for an easy uncomplicated stay. Not ideal for people who wants to be in the midst of the BKK buzz, but good for those who like it more quiet.

Guests Have to Wash their own Bed Sheets

A modern clean and comfortable place to stay. However, the housekeeping staff were not particularly helpful demanding by way of a letter from the Hotel Manager 1000 THB for cleaning of a bed sheet that had minor food stains. This occurred three times during my stay and on all three occasions I ended up washing the sheet containing the small food stains myself and then presenting the washed sheet back to reception together with their letter telling them I wasn't going to pay the exorbitant fee and indicating that no stains were now on the sheet because I had washed it myself. This unfortunate behavior of the hotel's housekeeping spoilt an otherwise satisfying stay.

Clean Hotel and Excellent Staff

This was the first hotel we checked into when we arrived in Bangkok. We had stayed at a few other hotels in Phuket, Phi Phi, and back at Bangkok and this was the best by FAR
The staff spoke english fluently and were good at guiding us on what to do and how to get around. They even gave us a map of Bangkok and circled where we were, where we might want to visit, which metro stops to get off at, etc, etc,...
Oh and no bugs!! Very clean hotel. I highly recommend this one if you are planning to stay in Bangkok.

Very nice appartement if you don't want to stay in hotel. Its not to far away from the fuzz but taxi or sky train is easy to get.
We had spacious corner app.with 2 showers. Good kitchen and lot of shops around. Transport for neighbourhood shops for free! Top for couple of days!

It was ok. Wifi was good. We wanted to get an extra pillow as ours was flat and worn down, but when I called there was \"no extra pillows because it was fully booked\". What the heck? There's no extra pillows anywhere? Also you have to pay for their dish soap, it doesn't come with your room. Just very different from the hotels we stayed at in Bali, Indonesia as Bangkok was at the tail end of our honeymoon. Overall it was ok...I think I could have found a better price for a hotel similar to ours, but maybe with breakfast included as well.

Beyond expectations

Our stay in the 3room apartment was definitely a highlight for us in Bangkok. It was so spacious for our party of 6, clean and tastefully decorated. It was great to come back to our rooms after a long day out. This hotel is also kid friendly. Food outlets,eg. Hawker n cafes, were just a five to ten minute walk away. Pharmacy nearby. We also used the free tuktuk service to the MRT and central mall. Luggage can be left with reception if arriving early or leaving late. Tip: get hold of the hotel card with the address, or note down the location before venturing out.

The room is excellent for the price. Amenities included microwave, large fridge, king sized bed, etc. Staff is quite friendly. Only issue was the distance from the airport and difficulty to locate the hotel. It takes about 1.5-2 hours to reach the hotel in the evening traffic.

Great for a big family, a wonderful space to relax

WOW! A wonderful little hotel in a nice quiet part of Bangkok. Fantastic for families. Great location, near the largest Chinese Buddhist temple in Bangkok.

It is off the beaten track so for those who want the night life and crowds of Bangkok try some where else - however read below first.

For our party of 5, 3 adults two kids (10 & 7), the 3 bedroom apartment was luxury. The master bedroom had separate en-suite with deep bath room and shower room
3 bed rooms were huge. The beds were firm, not hard, comfortable, crisp and cool, but most importantly the pillows were not thin lumpy things, so we slept very well. Cleaning service was efficient and generous leaving extra towels when requested. The TV's in the main living room, and the master bed room, we super large, huge, great for chill-out time after a day of touring. Reliable FAST FREE WiFi was a wonderful facility. Great to have a washing machine, microwave, large fridge.
Getting around was easy, the free Tuk Tuk service is a wonderful way to experience the Tuk Tuk with out all the hassles you hear about trying your luck on the streets - it satisfied the need, mainly by the kids, to ride a Tuk Tuk. The hotel was great in getting us taxi's when needed and no one can complain: MBK/Silon TB120-150, Silom TB70-100. We booked tours with Tours with Tong so they knew the hotel, many packaged tours do not so plan ahead.

Highly recommend for families, or those wanting peace and quiet. We will book again.

Bad customer service, slow wifi

If you require good customer service to be satisfied with your stay, don't book here. It's not worth the increased blood pressure in dealing with their unfriendly and incompetent staff (namely the front desk manager Narisara). I've stayed at dozens of hotels while traveling Thailand over the past 3 months and never have I witnessed such horrible service. The location is also a bit out of the way (no restaurants or shopping) and even though they advertise free tuk-tuk shuttle to the nearest MRT, it's only during the dry days, so you'll have to walk 15 minutes or hire a cab during the wet season. The breakfast consisted of a plain omelette, 2 slices of bread, and a glass of room temperature OJ. Wifi was painfully slow in my room and throughout the building (lobby etc.). On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. Unfortunately, the cons far outweigh the pros for iCheck Inn Residence. Fortunately, there are many other choices of places to stay in Bangkok.

We booked two nights for a short stay in Bangkok. The room was clean and spacious, but we found it to be quite far from the city center and attractions. Although taking taxis or tuk tuks can get fairly expensive, we took the opportunity to take the trains and ferries which was very efficient to get to Chinatown.

The free tuk tuk took us to Chong Nonsi station to get on the sky train and to get back we used the express bus (5 baht each) to B4 plus a 15 minute walk south. The kitchen had only 2 forks, 4 spoons, 2 plates, 2 bowls, 2 mugs and 2 glasses, a microwave, water boiler pot and a full size refrigerator and sink. The 3ft. deep saltwater pool is covered so no sunning at the pool. There was a small turf area on the roof to sun and area for animals to relieve themselves. A few English speaking channels on the flat screen TV. Lobby had a machine for free coffee and hot chocolate. Internet worked well from the room.
Taxi driver from the airport (440 baht)needed assistance in finding the hotel.

We have chosen iChecked Inn Residences because they have 3 bedrooms suite but upon check in, we were told one of the bedroom aircon leaking and they offered to change us to 1 bedroom suite and the other is 2 bedroom suite. My mother dirtied the towel and they charged us for 500 bhat for an old towel. Overall not a pleasant stay for my family.

First time in BKK and loved it. Hotel was in a nice local thai area. Street food was at local thai prices. easy to get taxis. meter taxi150 baht to jatuchak. 80baht to mbk use the street name when getting a taxi back and then hotel name. always felt safe in the area. I think if you make an effort to speak a little thai Hello thank you it is always appreciated.

Nice quiet location, friendly staff

Hotel was very clean and quite new. Staff were very helpful. Location is out of the hustle and bustle of the city but there are still restaurants, shops and massage places within a few minutes walk and the hotel offers a free tuk-tuk service to either the bus or sky train station (which are easy to navigate).
A little bit out of town which suited us as it was nice and quiet (difficult to find in Bangkok) but if you want to be in the middle of things then look somewhere else.
The pool looked nice although it is on the second floor so doesn't benefit from the heat of the sun and there was nowhere to sit around the pool but can't comment more than that as we didn't try it. There is a small rooftop garden which is nice to sit and chill in.
Overall a good hotel for the price.

Well priced alternative for family stay.

We were pleasantly surprised with icheck inn sathorn especially after reading some negative comments about the location. Sure there isn't too much around the hotel to interest the average tourist, but the hotel provides a free tuk-tuk to
Chong Nonsi BTS station (10 minutes) and taxi's are dirt cheap. It really wasn't a problem at all. In fact, being away from the busier areas was a bonus because the hotel was nice and quiet and this ensured a good nights sleep. Nothing was a problem for staff and our every request was met positively, efficiently and with a smile. We chose the 3 br family suite and would happily stay again.

Not worth for money

Yes, i stayed in this hotel last week and i reached hotel around 1 am. hotel does not have good lobby and could not find food on that time even hotel staff did not help.
I wonder why they charge for to use coffee packets and tooth brush. i paid almost 100$ for hotel and extra for coffee and brush

Nice hotel, out of the way but easily accessable

This hotel was quite nice. On a map it appears quite far away from the main areas of interest to tourists, it was quite close to the BRT station. We walked to the station with ease, but the hotel has a free tuk-tuk service to take you there and bring you back.
The hotel has a nice lounge where breakfast is available in the mornings. There is the usual uncooked food (toast, cereal, fruit), but also a small kitchen that can prepare hot meals. We got some eggs/sausage/bacon/tomato dishes and enjoyed them very much. The first day it appeared we did not get as many complementary orders as we thought, but the next day the cook apologized and told us without prompting he'd been wrong.
The hotel has a beautiful-looking pool that was the biggest disappointment for us, because it was SO SO COLD. I don't understand how a place that doesn't get below 80 degrees Fahrenheit can have a body of water so much like fresh glacier run-off. We'd set aside half a day for swimming, but our kids were eager to leave after 30 seconds.
The hotel staff was very good about coordinating shuttle services for us to and from the airport with a reputable, safe, comfortable third-party service.
Things to note: you will need a refundable security deposit when you check in (about 1,000 baht), and even though you give a credit card number when setting up a shuttle ride, that's just for covering a late cancellation; you will still need to pay cash at the time of the ride.

Staff very helpfull. Large appartment (3 bedrooms) + 2 bath but very humid inside, bad smell and fare away from everything. Easy to get a taxi to leave the hotel but 300 B minimum to come back from city center. Swimming pool for kids only.

Beautiful hotel close to the CBD

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was lovely. Hotel is very new and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a 30 min walk to BTS but the BRT is 5 mins away and for both cost us 68baht one way.
Defiantly will stay again

Friendly, helpful & efficient staff. Excellent facilities (small gym & covered swimming pool.Surroundings include nearby 7-Eleven, shops, and some small bars in an up-market neighbourhood, away from the seedy zones. Suitable for older couples & families seeking peace and quiet just a short free tut-tut or taxi ride (60-70 baht) from the Sky-train and Sathorn Square. Excellent in-room facilities, with separate kitchen area - so one person can stay up while the other sleeps.Free wi-fi, dvd player flat screen tv. Common games room too. Excellent value with 4 star qualities. The best option if you do not need to travel during the rush hour.

A little gem.

Chose the two-bed room apartment and was pleasantly surprised. The decoration is neat and very new. The hotel's location isn't ideal for public transportation, but if you have your own car or willing to get a cab (which is very affordable in Bangkok), this hotel will be a wonderful choice. It gives a home-like feel. The two-bed room is equipped with a electric hotplate stove, a washing machine, a living room and two separate bathrooms. The breakfast isn't great, and be sure to ask the hotel staff which bottled water is provided free of charge in the rooms. They had both the hotel brand water and singha water, you'd think the hotel brand is the provided free of charge, but nope, it was the singha. The water doesn't cost much, but it does get a little confusing.

We're pleased with our purchase overall.. Hotel was not in city center, but in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. Near hotel was a pretty good Thai restaurant. Hotel is also near to bus station, so going and coming back from city center was easy.

The residences have everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Good taxi service to Sky train, 10 mins/50 baht. Free Great service also available. Close to 7 eleven and some friendly bars. Very quiet, safe, up-market residential area.Hotel provides free wi-fi, dvd's, gym and swimming pool + free coffee. Frozen meals and ice-cream available for sale. Excellent for a short or long stay.

Fantastic value

We really enjoyed our stay, the 2 bed apartment was big, clean, comfortable. The staff, especially the reception desk staff and security were very polite, friendly and helpful. The games room and roof garden were great for family fun. The only bad point was the swimming pool which was very shallow and very cold, but luckily we weren't there for the swimming! The location is great, with lots of local food, shops etc. and easy access to taxis. The iCheckinn shuttle to sky train is also useful. Overall, I would recommend this residence as long as you're not looking for a relaxing by the poolside holiday.

Good crash pad, but not the ideal base to explore

My only beef is value for money and professionalism. For value, I'm not convinced that staying here is worth it,compared to say, Ibis hotels in Sathorn or Nana. We also had doubts about the staff- the room was wide open when we checked in late in the evening which was pretty freaky, and one morning we discovered the balcony door had been opened presumably by a staff member looking through the apartment despite our do not disturb sign. just left a weird feeling...

Great hotel for long stay

This is a great hotel if you are staying in Bangkok for a while. The facilities are modern and clean, and the room has enough open space and a small kitchen for cooking. The only real downside is the location which isn't terribly close to downtown Bangkok.

I got a good deal on a travel website, but have had better deals in Bangkok. The hotel is really out of the way, jot close to public transport or a main road. There is nothing much in the area, although quite a few shops and restaurants about ten minutes walk away. The room is clean and modern, but not very spacious - no easy chair or couch. And the small dark kitchen area really serves no purpose at all.

Well appointed and convenient

We enjoyed our stay at the iCheck Inn residence. Our 3 bedroom apartment provided more than sufficient space for the 6 of us and comfort was good

Travel tips:
We never spent more than 100 baths ($3) for all our meter taxi trips within Bangkok - our preferred travelling option
Another enjoyable travelling option is to taxi to Saphan Taxin and jump in a boat (30-40 baths) to explore riverside monuments, attractions and China town

Coming out of the residence, turn left, then left again. 100m further on the left is a 7/11 that makes fresh and decent coffee and has croissants, etc. 100m further (still on the left) you will find a few decent restaurants

Because my flight only reached Bangkok at about 11.30pm, I had to check in late. Despite that, I was greeted by the friendly hotel receptionist and was provided my room with no hiccups in a few minutes.

Hotel room is very clean and includes all the amenities you would get in a home. There's television, a comfortable bed, bath tub, mini kitchen with microwave ovens, cutleries & an electric water boiler. The room is also equipped with other necessities like shavers, snacks, toothbrush, washing liquids however it's chargeable(not that expensive) which i believe is good.

With the television, there's also a DVD player and movie rentals are available in the reception area(I only found out while checking out). I feel that the TV channels are very limited, even Free-to-air channels.

In-room wifi connection is decent for internet surfing.

I'll be greeted by the friendly security officer every time and leave in the morning and back again in the evening.

On the last day, i had requested for a late checkout as my flight departs @ 4pm, the hotel staff was friendly enough to allow me to do so with no questions asked.

There are lots of cafes, shops, convenience stores, ATMs, Money Exchange booths just 5 minutes walk away. To get to shopping malls, closest BRT station(Thanon Chan) is just 5-10 mins walk away. The hotel also provides free tuktuk in the morning to the nearest BTS station(Chong nonsi) in the morning(I found this out when checking out too)

Value for Money

While it's a little off the beaten tourist track, this quiet hotel has all the amenities and facilities to ensure a comfortable and restful stay. Public transport options are limited, but taxis are plentiful very close by, and fifty or sixty Baht will see you to the centre of things.
Rooms are spacious and beds wide and soft. Cooking essentials are provided but anyway there are plenty of eating out options a short walk away.
The pool is fairly large but shallow and situated beneath the floor above, so it gets little sunlight , and in any case there is no room for loungers.

We had a very comfortable stay for six days. So near the centre, yet really quiet The bed was really comfortable and the room was very clean. We had everything we needed to enable us to make our own simple breakfast (big fridge, kettle, microwave etc.) in the separate dining area. With shops a short walk away, as well as cafes and bars, it was really convenient. A short bus or taxi ride brought us to the sky train - really great for people of any age. Very economical & high standard accommodation, + free wifi and videos to borrow, in a residential area with a private pool too! Who could ask for more?
