Disappointed with Hotel

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. Unfortunately this time was quite disappointing. The gym was unavailable and the clothes washing machine was not working. After contacting reception about the broken washing machine, they did not offer me a new room or fix the broken machine.

Disappointing not like the photographs as usual

I arrived at 11pm, the reception was prepared and it took moments to book in. The room was fine but no view and the balcony door no security lock. The safe didn't work. there is a free ride noted to take you to the local station but the service didn't exists. The TV in the room has one English channel.

The multi gym was broke, the men's sauna center wall and ceiling were falling down and the pool was filthy. The doors in the bath room were rotting and the ceiling tiles had been removed. Rubbish bags, cleaning equipment and containers all were left on the pool floor area, it wasn't good.

We asked for towels as we wanted to use the pool and they didn't turn up but it was ok as the pool was as mentioned filthy.

To get a taxi you have to walk to the main road which is about 8 minute walk down the soi 11.

The restaurant was not open either.

Nice hotel close to bts rail station

Quite area and safe area, you can get a text in front of the hotel just about any time, nice swimming pool on the sky deck , rooms have washing and drying machine, stove with pot and frying pan, plates, bowls , hot pot, kitchen cutlaries , washroom has a tub and shower, great place for a family.

Nice enough hotel if a little run down.

Unfortunately the pool was closed. The gym equipment was broken. The safe in the room didn't work and there was only non English satellite tv.
The staff didn't seem concerned with any of this so I left and stayed at a much nicer hotel for the same price.
Overall a very disappointing stay.
I would not stay there again as there are many other options in the same price range that actually have what they advertise.

Dirty & poor service

Poor service & very dirty. Thai places are usually at least swept and while things may not be super clean they are usually superficially cleaned. This place had dust and hair all over the floor. The bathtub was quite dirty. The water was brown (in all faucets) for the first several minutes. The sofa once white was a really gross brown. The counters were all stained (which is fine but they were covered with a lot of dust as well).

Amazing layout and design of the rooms. Had a stove (but only minimal kitchenware- like 1 plate & two forks), washing machine, nice sized fridge. The pools was a great design but the water dirty and hazy. The gym looked ok. The sauna was broke.

The internet only worked for about an hour in our three day stay and that was after several phone calls. The first call they answered, oh we will connect it... what it wasn't even connected?? Then when they finally told me that the password they gave me was wrong I was disappointed.

Had to ask for water. Despite paying for a breakfast buffet there was not a buffet and they just fixed us a plate with eggs, two small hotdogs, and two slices of tomato. When we asked if there was something for our toddler (he was included in the reservation) they said no but finally gave a piece of bread for him (don't worry we shared ours).

I asked for a child's bed or crib and it was not provided. Also the room for three bit only had two towels and a hand towel. We would not stay again although it could be an amazing plc.

NOT Good ......you will feel like a Jail

Over all hotel is like a Jail ...gym is not working.....swimming pool has no facilities .....no resturant in hotel. You can sit in lobby, which is very small. Hotel room facility is not up to the mark and WiFi is like a bull cart . Stay away from this Hotel. Only good thing is staff members Ms. Goy, Mr. Jack , Mr. Peter are good and very help full. See the room condition in my pics ...

Large comfortable room

I stayed at grace Sathorn for two nights in February 2017. The room was very spacious with great facilities including bathtub, washing machine, full kitchen and more. I only saw staff at the front desk and they were very friendly, helpful and spoke great English. If I'm ever in Bangkok again I will stay at grace Sathorn.

Nice big rooms but POOR WIFI

the rooms are very spacious and the bed was very confortable. The hotel has pool and sauna which was very good. The only thing to critize was the wifi, it barely worked in the room. But I would recommend it if the price was below 30usd the night.

Hotel provides a free tuktuk on demand during the day to the nearest SkyTrain station - this makes it easier to get around Bangkok.

All staff were friendly and helpful and they sorted out miner maintenance problems quickly and efficiently.

My only gripe is that I booked this room because of the washer/dryer - being half way through our tour this was very useful but I was surprised to find that there was no iron or ironing board in the room. When I requested an iron and ironing board I was told that there is a 200 baht charge for this (£5). I consider this unreasonable and declined knowing that our next hotel included iron and ironing board as standard.

Hate It This Time

I stayed at this hotel before, and I loved it. That's why I returned to this hotel on this trip. However, my recent stay was a complete disappointment. The most horrible thing was the Wi-Fi connection that was disconnected every five minutes before it was set that way. Only one staff at the reception show enthusiastic to service. The rest didn't even smile when I walked in or out. The restroom was old and leaking, and the toilet smelled awful. I had to buy my own air refresher spray. Though the bed sheet, pillow cases, and blankets were clean, they were old and torn. I decided to switch to a different hotel in the area after giving them opportunities to fix these problems for ten days.

The hotel staff although friendly made the hotel seem unprofessional the way they handled heck in and arrivals. We arrived 1 hour early from travelling and they wouldn't let us check in which was disappointing.

My booking was queen or king bedding. But my friend chceked in early and was given twin beded room. Was pay for early check in. At 1pm while i, checked in and requested for king and bath tub bedding. The reception told me not room at this moment. She offer me to upgard for next day, and i m fine with it.(Dont mind to pay for extra)

Next day i when to ask for the regarding room, the reception told me they are full house and no room for me to upgard.
Finally, get a king bed for us to change. (Untill insisted)

3rd day told reception to make up the room, while return room was not done. Asked reception why? Housekeeping forget to clean and lot of explained. (End up only change towel)

Nice pool in the middle if high rises and near tra

Pool is great although there are only three chair cushions. My room was nonsmoking but the floor was smoking so the hall was thick with smoke and it seeped into my room so was quite uncomfortable. Staff are smiling but English very limited and they have no authority so can not really help with issues or questions. Check the state of the room food on arrival. I had a big problem arguing I had not opened the chips. Also get the price you are quotes in writing. It changes and at checkout it was an argument Close to public transit

This was a great little hotel, but very difficult to find and perfect for business stay but not ideal for a holiday base....

It was our error in choosing it without checking its exact location... we should have picked somewhere on the river as it was a long walk to the skytrain and too far away from tourist attractions. That being said, it was a lovely apartment, spotless and quiet. Excellent for the business traveller or for young, fit people travelling in Thailand

Enjoyable week

A friendly reception. Apartment style room - a little basic but enough to manage with.
Rooftop had amazing views and a nice uncrowded pool / health centre.
The surrounding area was a very friendly local place. Eating out no problem, with one local eatery on the left about 300 metres up the side street - cheap and wonderful.
Close to BTS to jaunt around the city - taxis galore for the lazy ones.
Would recommend to those not wanting to be in the higher cost areas and wishing for a taste of real Bangkok life.
Make the locals smile with an attempt at the language - the results are real smiles.

A good choice away from the mayhem

Stayed in this residence for a week in total. Excellent value with an added bonus that the staff were extremely helpful.
Rooms were airy and comfortable, serviced everyday.
Excellent provision for laundry services. I got through 2/ 3 shirts a day in the sweltering heat. These were returned washed and ironed within only a couple of hours on more than one occasion.
Location is superb for someone like me. Not amongst the business community or holiday makers; more local with the traditional street offerings and a few decent and inexpensive cafes within 300 metres.
The upper floor swimming pool has a view which even took me back. I'm a seasoned traveller and yet I still was stunned with the early evening light shows viewed from the swimming pool area. Take a camera - it's a must.
The only word of caution is try not to travel by road between 4pm - 7 pm from the main road. Congestion is not a suitable word. However this is hardly the fault of the accommodation - just the boom and bustle of Bangkok.
All in all a worthy place to stay and rated a good 94/100 from my perspective.

Convenient place to stay at

Stayed for 3D2N here. Overall staff were friendly and helpful at all times to help us get taxi & guide as direction. 7-Eleven is just next to the hotel which is convenient if u need any last min things or foods. Along the hotel there is cafes and streets thai foods to try as well. 10min walk to the train station (BTS Surasak) though u might consider getting taxi at night if u have lots of things with you. The beautiful city view from the rooftop pool where its best for u to hang out.

A real living space executive one bed room!

PRO: SPACE is SUPERB and feel like home (executive one bed room) is awesome!, staffs are real friendly and super nice, they make me feel safe. DESPITE all the CON, I love the place and the people here. nearly is salon and mini-mart 7-eleven. Few minutes away from silom, sathon and all great dining places.
CON: bathtub not quite clean , shower and hot water depend on which room you get, exercise room has machine that doesn't work! location near business area but it's in small street so not a street you may want to walk around

I have experience to stay at executive suit and It nice and roomie, The staff was very friendly but it location was asking for better and was surprised the breakfast wasn't including in price , little to far for walking distance from everything, the sky train the shopping areas and eating pleases how ever I stayed for five nights and didn't mind to eat at little local close by restaurants for just couple of $, and took fifteen minutes walk in very hot inwirement to the train and about ten minutes on taxi to closest shopping places which wasn't bad only $2 for the trip by meter. Taxi is the way to go around cheap and have air-conditioning.

Why stay in a hotel?

Great stay if you want to be away from the noise and bustle of Bangkok but with easy access to Sky Train and river ferries. Locality very local, no immediate big stores but fine for local shopping. Very helpful service attendants with good English. Near St Louis Hospital which is a useful landmark.

1 night stay

cost me 450 thb to get from the airport to the hotel by taxi because upon arrival, I saw no shuttle for the hotel like this site advertises. I asked other hotel shuttle drivers and they said that this hotel does not offer shuttle service... how convenient because other travel sites advertise that this is a service they offer as well!
Called the hotel and got hung up on. Was not about to call back as roaming charges are ridiculous.
The reception clerk didn't even look up at me and greet me as I walked in the door... was too busy doing something at the desk.
He asked if I was checking in... duh... I have a huge backpack on, while still looking down.
FINALLY he looks up at me - only because he has to get some money from me to pay a deposit. Fine whatever, take my card. get told I will get my deposit back in about 10 working days... I will believe that when I see it.
He hands over my key, doesn't tell me what floor I am staying on or where the elevator is or how to get to the room itself. I look around and find the elevator myself and before entering, I ask him which floor I am going to be on, he tells me, but again, couldn't be bothered to face me.
the hallway was hot as theres no A/C running through it was clean.
the room... the floor board skirting was mouldy and tearing away in some places. thankfully there was hot water for my shower and A/C that worked extrememly well for them to have a shot at redeeming themselves.
2 complimentary bottles of water, a plus... everything else you have to pay for.. fair enough.
the wifi connection was pretty good, no complaints there.
view wasn't all that great... a building and the parking lot...
the bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable, I guess that's how they like their beds in asia because for the rest of my trip I didn't get to sleep in one soft bed, but I slept well as I was exhausted from the trip and the night out I had after a freshen up.
if you're taking the bus or taxi, it is a short walk from the hotel to the top of the road, just a heads up!
check out was a breeze. quick and hassle free... had a check out reception clerk who was a bit more friendlier than the check in guy who did thank me for staying.
comparing this to previous trips I have taken, I don't want to say its the worst, but I cant think of any others that have made me this glum about staying in a hotel.

The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean but both rooms and swimmingpool areas needs attention to bring it up to scratch with basic repair work needed. The pool was un useable for three days due to dirty water, tiles broken, pool handrail loose, swimmingpool toilet cubicle out of action due to the door being the incorrect size and not enough mattresses for the number of sunbeds at the poolside

this is my 2nd time staying - my first stay in 2013 was excellent. but this time around, the room was older and construction was shabby, the AC did not work well, so the room was warm, and worse of all, wifi did not work in my room. I had to go down to the lobby every time I went online. The owner discounted my stay, a good gesture on his part, but I am still disappointed and will not stay here next year... : (

very comfortable stay

Day 1 went to go swimming but pool very dirty. Spoke with reception who were understanding of my frustration and gave me some money back for use of another swimming pool. They also got people out the same day to clean the pool so the rest of my stay had no problem which was very good!! One thing to note the pool tiles had no grout but was still safe to use. The room was cleaned everyday and had kitchen facilities so was very comfortable. The only thing was the TV had a card saying what channels 1-20 showed but many didnt work, ok for me as had fox movies to watch in English. All in all Staff very good, room very comfortable would go back again!!

cool and quiet retreat

I have had two stays in this hotel of 3 nights each and I have enjoyed both. I enjoyed being in the room in the afternoon and evening. It was cool and quiet and with an excellent spot light shining down from above, making reading most pleasurable. Indeed, what is there more pleasurable than to be able to sit in ones hotel room and read a book with no distractions and to feel pleasure in ones surroundings.

Disappointing, we chose the hotel because of the beautiful swimming pool shown in all the marketing pictures in addition to the hotel being central to the city.

To our horror on arrival the pool was not fit for swimming in as the water was so dirty, I suspect the pool had not been cleaned in months, the pump and water filter were not working.

When I asked about the pool I was told that the pool was undergoing its annual maintenance, but there was no sine of any work being done over the 3 days we were there.

Just like home in the Heart of Bangkok!

We loved the hotel. Great rooms tastefully decorated if you like white tones and minimalism which we greatly appreciate. The rooms are quite large We stayed in an executive suite more than 60 meters 2 rooms studio living room kitchen/ and bedroom. Two phones, 2 pretty large flatscreen tvs, internet a very spacious bathroom. We then extened our stay and lived in a superior suite about 10 meters larger with an added bar and window in the bathroom also more space to hang clothes - but actually our favorite was still the executive suite. A great feature in both the rooms was a washing mashine - brand new and with dryer function - no more washing socks and undies and wondering where to dry them!
Staff was friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to the nearby metro ( we took the 8 minute walk to sarsuk or chong nonsi about 2 stops away from siam station where all the big shopping centers are located.
,There's a convenience store right next door . So you can go out and by the makings for your breakfast which is easy to make in the fully functional kitchen. Or grab some beers or even a deenct bottle of new world wine Oh and yes they offer free luggage storage if you decide to go to the ilsands as we did. Overall we will go back to this apart-hotel. Oh forgot to say there is a roof-top pool which has a great view - pool is pretty shallow and not 5 star clean and lacking of chlorine smell - but definitely clean enough to do your laps after a workout in the basic but decent gym which is next to an infra-red sauna. Everything you need at a great location andat an unbeievable price!

Staff dont really know about the routes around the hotel. almost every single thing has to contact the manager.(need more training)

apartment to Chong nonsi BTS takes around 15mins of walking.(provided u know the way)

daily nightmare from central world , paragon ,siam center, sala daeng area, no taxi would want to take you.due to daily jam at sathorn area.

Gym equipment old.two machines not working.dirty swimming pool.dumbbell weights only the 3 diff weight available.

Transportation tuk tuk not available till my last two day stay which i have already given up waiting.

Request for towel from counter staff.didnt turn up.
requested for transportation to airport.was told a private vehicle from external agency BUT turn out to be a meter taxi.

Was indeed a value for money stay if u just stay inside apt not going anywhere.

Misleading

The photo describing the hotel is misleading.. It is in a pretty confined space. The pool on the roof is only 50cms deep. Refrain from diving !

Management seems a little disorganized and irresponsible. They had no knowledge of my booking. While using the internet in the reception I witnessed two other guests in the same situation. I was expected to contact the booking agency to confirm my booking.

Very comfortable serviced apartment

Arrived very late - about 1 am - but reception open and very fast check-in. Really big room, with good lighting and kitchen area with microwave and refrigerator. 7-11 is right next door so very handy for late meals or when not feel like going out. Big shower, plenty of hot water, fresh towels every day. Staff friendly and all speak at least some English. Location very quiet. Quite a long walk to the BTS; Surasak and Chong Nonsi about equally distant, so choice depends on direction of travel.
I originally booked one week, as a base from which to search for an apartment to rent. I stayed a second week, as the hotel is comfortable, convenient and good value for money.

Good Serviced Apartment in the Centre

We found this venue to have good kitchen facilities (minus bottle opener and a few other utensils), aircon in both rooms, two small balconies, and the strange addition of a washing machine with no dryer or clothes-hanging facilities.

The manager automatically upgraded our room to a suite, which was a pleasant and welcome surprise.

The residence is in a central location near Silom, BTS and many conveniences, including a 7-11 next door and a vegetarian eatery only metres away.

My only criticisms are the floors, which could do with the occasional (if not daily) mop: each time we walked across the room, our feet became visibly blackened; and the service: we became stuck in the lift for a brief period (the lights and power went out and the lift stopped between floors), and when we informed the manager he merely smiled and shrugged, 'But you're here now.'

Other than these two issues, overall Sathorn Grace is very good value.

Excellent value for money.

I stayed here in October/nov. It's a 3 star hotel but it delivers excellent value for money. I had a suite and was very happy with it. It was very clean and comfortable and there's a swimming pool and gym on the top floor. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Surasak BTS or you can catch a tuk tuk or motorbike taxi. The hotel is quiet and far enough away from the nightlife so you can relax in peace but is only a short taxi ride to the Silom/Patpong area. This hotel offers great value for money and I would certainly consider staying here again.

Very nice place

I stayed at this hotel in october 2013. It is located in walking distance to BTS station Chong Nonsi or else BTS Surasak. The street is easily to find.
When I arrived there was a friendly receptionist who handed out the key. I have to pay deposit of THB 1000 in cash.
Then I went up to the room. The room is nicely decorated with paintings, it was clean and neat, veeery spacious and comes with kitchenette. Ok, kitchen means, there is a microwave, fridge, some plates and cups and some knife, fork and spoon. But nothing to complain.
Room service with fresh towels was done every day.
I give four stars (because there is always better :-) and I would not hesitate to go back to this place. I can fully recommend it to everybody.

Too expensive in regards to what you get.

The place is ok but it definitely does not compare to the tall hotels in the area.

Relaxation from city

The hotel room is clean and cosy. It comes with a microwave and a kettle. Room is spacious. However, it is far from the skytrain. Have to walk at least 10 -15 mins to the skytrain. One of the front desk staff, Jane was very couteous and nice. There is another staff, Somkit was unfriendly. So if you want to ask for any information or assistance, pls approach Jane.

The staff was warm. It's located in somewhat of a residential area, so it's a ten minute walk to the train. But the private setting is nice for someone who doesn't like the hotel environment. I am satisfied overall.

Great Place for the Cost

I loved the location of the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful, especially when it came to translating information for the taxi drivers. Our rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The best thing about the hotel is the value for the money. I really feel like we got a great deal. We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights, and there were no complaints.

Good location, Good value, Friendly Staff, Relaxing Stay

I initially booked this hotel for 2 nights whilst I looked for alternate accommodation. I ended up staying the entire 3 weeks here. Although I had booked a Studio Room upon check in I was upgraded without asking to a One Bedroom. The apartment was clean, modern with the basics for cooking or preparing meals if required. I had to move eventually (after 5 days) to my booked Studio Room only because the hotel was fully booked & they needed my One Bedroomn Suite. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is gay friendly. The rooftop pool is quite a novalty. The gym is basic but adequate for most.

Great staff and good hotel for the price

Having jus spent 9 nites at this hotel id like to say that for the price it was a great choice! The hotel it self is clean and modern, with cleaning staff always working. The rooms were comfortable and what ud expect from any reasonable hotel, the only downfall was the bed being on wheels which meant us slide around. The swimming pool and gym had excellent rooftop views. The location altough quiet wasnt great as it was in a resential area but again it was a 10minutew from the hustle n bustle and a few minutes walk from the bts train. The besg aspect of this hotel were the staff, from the lads sat at the entrance gate to the reception and house keeping staff. Always smiling and extremley helpfull whenever we needed something or asked for advice on where to go. Weve stayed at 5 star hotels in the UK and dubai but the staff at sathorn were way better than them! Stayed in room 202 and would defo stay there again and recommend sathorn grace to anyone.

We asked for a non smoking room, but was given a room with lingering tobacco smell; spoke to hotel and was given an upgrade immediately. Hotel provides free ride to the nearest train station, and reception is always able to help get taxis. overall a pleasant stay.

Great value. Wonderful rooftop pool.

This hotel is a great value. It is clean and modern, with international channels on flat-screen TVs.

The best part is their magnificent roof-top pool. It is large and a great, comfortable place to lounge about.

The hotel operates an on-demand Tuk-Tuk to get to the nearby Skytrain, which is otherwise a 15-20 minute easy walk.

For those who stated here before: the hotel is under new ownership and new management. Things are vastly improved. The current manager cares a great deal about customer satisfaction.

As I choose hotels always from a point that it has to be near to a place where I attend meetings, seminars etc. the hotels location was good. Somehow hiding in a very local neighborhood my first impression was that might be not the place I was looking for but considering the very nice room and the price it is for sure a good place to stay. Didn’t get any bellboy service but with the little luggage I had there was no problem and the staff was nice anyway.

Stayed there 10 March to 13 March 2012 for a business trip. This serviced apartment is well maintained: room in very good condition and clean, swimming pool located on the roof and very nice, a gym beside the pool with city view. Nice facilities! The cons is its location: situated in a quiet local neighbourhood, not close to any attractions, 15-20 min. walking to the neary-by sky train. Hotel provides free Tuk tuk to deliver to sky train station, but returning may be a problem unless you call them in advance.

Anyway, still good value for money if you just look for budgeted \"quiet staying\" in Bangkok.

We loved this hotel. It was in the heart of the Silom district. The hotel had great recommendations for everything, including an EXCELLENT suit maker who was affordable and had impeccable quality. They had a tuk tuk that took us to and from places. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great rooftop pool. Cozy small hotel. Free Internet. Out-of-the-way location.

Always reasonably priced, and with an absolutely great rooftop pool, this small hotel is a 15 minute walk and about half a dozen Skytrain stops from the main Sukhumvit tourist center.

Nevertheless, it is a nice walk and will expose you to what things are really like in Bangkok. Not many restaraunts close-by, but a 7-11 1/2 block away is open 24 hours.

A Great return for your money in Bangkok

We have a 3 year old child so we got the one room for more space. The room is very spacious and comfortable. There is everything you need in the kitchen if you decide to cook and stay inside. The roof top swimming pool is great it has a very big toddler section in one corner and the pool is never busy a great plus for kids. The staff from the front desk to security guards are friendly and helpful. You will not be dissapointed in this choice.

This hotel is stunning!! The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable and modern.
The pool is lovely too and stays open til late so that's always nice!
The only negative I have is it's location. It's in the business district so lots of sky rise buildings and busy main roads. There is not alot around in terms of shops, markets and the skytrain is s walk away!! It felt very quiet compared to other areas of Bangkok.
All in all nice place to stay for few days but doesn't have the buzz of kho San road or sukhumviht for example.

Awesome little hotel at the perfect price, only drawback is the distance from the bts skytrain but the hotel has a tuk tuk and will take guests to the skytrain for free during the day. Great couples hotel, I've been there twice and will stay again soon.

Should be renamed Secret Garden Residence

The room was clean, the shower nice but do not try and get here without a map to give the taxi driver. I am an avid traveller and we got so lost trying to fine this place. We had a local call the hotel in order to get directions which she then hailed another cab and passed on the directions because no one knows where this place is.

And the pictures are pretty far from truthful. The infinity pool is definitely not that. We did not even waste our time going in.

Great place to stay! Convenient, Clean and Friendly

I booked this hotel in an emergency as while I was returning to Bangkok it was mostly under floods. I was able to look at some reviews and took a chance. I booked three rooms here as we were traveling in a large group. Ultimately, I have no complaints about this hotel. Their front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as were the bellhops. They offered free premium internet in the lobby and free wireless in the room. The maintenance staff were extremely polite and quick. The location was also very easy to find for our taxi and tuk-tuk drivers.

The room itself was very modern with great lighting, LCD TV, see-through standup shower and a rooftop pool with glass encased gym to see the entire city.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again without hesitation

The facilities at this residence were absolutely to our satisfaction given that this is a serviced residence and not an actual hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and were always on hand to answer any queries we had. The internet price seemed a little exorbitant but I understand many hotels charge at this level. As the BTS was only a 5 min walk away we were able to access most areas of inner Bangkok with ease.

Very Good for the Price!

This hotel was perfect for me and my husband. We stated at four different places, and this was the only one that offered free Wifi. The rooms were big and clean! The location was a little far, but worth it for the hotel!

Although a little cramped in a small street and off centered from the main Bangkok area of activities, this place is a good deal for what it has to offer. The suite was big, with modern equipment, well maintained, and the staff was very nice and helpfull.
Metro station close by (you can walk to it or the residence has tuk tuk shuttles).
Better suited for a couple or a group of people.

Use of computers to connect to internet very expensive.
Shower water temperature inadequate and water was typically very hot or very cold.

Relaxing stay after long intl. flight!

Sathorn Grace Serviced Residence was a great landing pad to transition from traditional western comforts to the travel guesthouses of Thailand! I knew after a long international flight i was going to want a clean, comfortable hotel to stay at where i could catch up on the time difference, relax and get prepared for a long journey to the Northern region of Thailand. I also needed a location that was rather central, had great staff and internet! I was finishing up some business before starting my solo travels and that made it easy.
The staff spoke minimal English, but enough for us to get by and be on the same page, to be expected as a foreigner in a different country than your native tongue. I would recommend studying up on basic Thai before embarking on your trip. This should include day to day salutations (hello, goodbye, thank-you) as well as numbers, and some food ingredients
The amenities were great, roof top gym and pool with great views, clean and well kept (maintenance was doing something up there on the daily to maintain cleanliness/efficiency)

Hotel is very 1980's-ish and the rooms are woefully inadequate for a 5-star hotel. Our view overlooked wagon wheels and a construction site. Didn't travel this far to see wagon wheels like in the far west. The alarm clock was 'modern' and contained within the wall (again, 1970's-80's). Bathroom was not modern at all, horrid ironing board and mini-bar door was a bit broken. Check in was horrendously slow and no arrival drinks or snacks. Breakfast buffet was adequate and not too bad actually. Pool had a constant smell of sewage too, which didn't make for a pleasant experience.

Always a great business hotel.

This is a wonderful business hotel. The rooms are large and clean, the hotel is new and well maintained.

The location is not ideal, it is a 15 minute walk to the Skytrain and then 15 minute train ride to the Sukhumvit district. But taxis and TukTuks are cheap and plentiful.

The internet is problemmatic. Often the internet is very overloaded and slow. It is better than it used to be, but for a business hotel they really need more bandwidth.
