Extremely dirty rooms. We changed room hoping to get a trashed one. Really worn down, unfortunately we had an even worse one than last. We left the hotel due to this.

Bedsheets were stained, smelled like sweat. The curtains had something black brown splattered all over them. Looked like s..t. Walls had stains everywhere, the carpet had burn marks and clearly not vacuumed. Dust everywhere. Together with a lot of black hair in the shower this was one of the worst hotel experiences for our family ever.

The hotel was very far from most of the attractions that we wanted to see. The rooms were very clean but dated. The bathrooms didn't have fans so there was quite a bit of mold/black stains in the shower.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The spa was good as well. Spa staff were very nice.

I just booked because of roof top bar, but it is under maintenance from months, while booking there is no clue, and also little maintanance issues like keylocks not working and tv repairs, toilet flushes issues etc. paid good money but services far below the expectation.

The rooms are a little dated, but very spacious and comfortable. The outdoor pool is a real highlight for a city hotel. Breakfast was fantastic with so many options – even the fussiest eater would be happy!

The staff were absolutely fabulous – from concierge and reception to housekeeping, everyone was attentive and welcoming.

Location is pretty good too: around 15–20 minutes’ walk to St. Louis Skytrain station and about 30 minutes to Lumpini. There’s also a 7/11, ATM, and plenty of cheap (and delicious!) street food right next door.

The main entrance and the staff of the JC Kevin were amazing. The rooms, hallways and other social places were just a bit unclean/unkempt. Our curtains were stained, the headboard dusty and the hallway had a super mouldy smell. But this is our first time to Bangkok so all of that may be normal ?! The location was convenient enough as there was plenty around.

The hotel is good. While we’re there. The hotel is doing pest control. We’ve seen quite roaches in the room. Also the hotel doesn’t provide hand soap. (BYS)!

Sathorn is away from more crowded areas and is served by BTS approximately 1km away. Staff members were generally lovely. Food was good, tasty and authentic. The property was rather tired-looking, roof-top restaurants were insipid and pricy. There were some issues with getting the right room configuration but that could be an issue on the booking sites.

The hotel is so run down and dirty. There were so many roaches in our room that we found at least 10. We ended up checking out on our 2nd day to move to a better hotel. The Hotel Manager (Joe) did not want to give us a refund and did not take accountability for the roaches in our room. He even said that some hotels have roaches, that’s normal (who says that!!!). Like its acceptable. I have never stayed in a hotel outside of the country that dirty and especially with roaches. This hotel needs to be shut down. The pictures so deceiving its a catfish hotel as my daughter would say. It looks good on the outside but not on the inside. Don't waste your money on this hotel. We got lucky to find another hotel (way cleaner, friendly staff) immediately to get out of this hotel. It’s so disgusting!!!

I should have listened to the previous reviews—most of them were right, and my experience unfortunately confirmed their concerns.

1. The bathroom was absolutely filthy, and every room had an unpleasant smell that made the stay uncomfortable.

2. The entire place feels very outdated and is badly in need of refurbishment.

3. The TV didn’t work at all during my stay.

4. The lift situation was frustrating—only 1 out of 3 elevators were working, and they were incredibly slow.

On a more positive note, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was decent, which helped a little.

I would strongly advise you to think twice before booking this hotel. If you still choose to stay here—good luck!

I stayed here many times. Most of the times, I request the king bed but 90% of staying that room were not available. Moreover if you park your car in the building, you have to go higher floor that is not comfortable. Recommend to park at the parking area behide the building. So disappointed with management.

Very nice, huge room with lots of space and amenities. The hotel had good facilities in general for a 4/5 star hotel. Great views over the cityscape and from their cocktail bar on the 38th floor. Staff friendly.
Constructive criticism would be that some minor aspects of the room were showing first signs of wear and tear and the towels were ready for renewing. A 10 minute walk to local transport facilities.

Pictures on expedia are deceiving. We had
two rooms: family suite and a king bed room. Family suite's wall were peeling, caulking in bathroom was thick and not unprofessional. Even I do a better job applying caulking. King room had all brown walls. The pictures were nice white walls and looked fancy. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Good thing we booled only one night and went elsewhere. Some workers were nice and most had attitude. They communicate as if youre so dumb and don't understand a thing and talk about you in Thai thinking you dont understand. Poor overall.

Petit déjeuner très convenable, chambre propre et spacieuse, quelques traces d'usures mais rien d alarmant comme nous avons pu lire
Effectivement le Sky bar est en rénovation mais ça arrive dans la vie d'un hôtel.
Nous avons pu laisser nos bagages au check out toute l après midi sans contre partie, ils ont été sécurisé a l'aide d'un grand cadenas 🙏
N hésitez a faire commander vos taxis a l acceuil car c'est eux qui négocie directement avec le chauffeur

My go-to hotel in Bangkok

I almost always stay here when in Bangkok. It is very reasonably priced, and the amenities are generally good. Helpful staff. Main downside; it is not that central. And, the decor is getting a bit \"tired\". Good breakfast.

JC Kevin Hotel is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in Bangkok. Here’s why:
1.Elevator Disaster: The hotel design is completely flawed, with only three tiny elevators serving a massive 40-floor building. During busy times, expect to wait at least 5 minutes, if not longer, just to catch a ride.
2.Breakfast Nightmare: The breakfast was an absolute joke. I found hair in the food that didn’t taste fresh (maybe leftover from yesterday?) and the options were primarily carb-heavy with very few protein choices. Definitely not worth the price or effort.
3.Dirty, Old Rooms: The rooms are in desperate need of a renovation. Everything feels old and grimy. The bed was uncomfortable, and the shower was a nightmare – water temperature was either scalding hot or freezing cold, with no in-between.
4.Terrible Location: The hotel is inconveniently far from public transit, with very limited grocery stores, restaurants, or bars within a 10-minute radius. Getting a taxi was a hassle since almost all drivers have to make a massive U-turn to reach the hotel.

Overall, the combination of poor design, subpar cleanliness, and an inconvenient location makes JC Kevin Hotel a place I’ll never stay at again. Avoid at all costs.

Upon check in, the staff was very rude and unprofessional. I did not feel welcomed, when I got to my room it was outdated, worn down and there was a musty smell in the room. The sink and bathroom had molding all around and I complained but I was told there was no other option. The sink started to leak the next morning and the ac had a noise coming out of it, making
it hard to sleep. Breakfast was cold, waffles were hard and the coffee was bitter. I would not recommend staying here even if it was less than $100/night.

You can't call yourself a 5 star just because your lobby is very nice and prices are high. Maybe others had different rooms but ours was a 2 star at best. Very dated and dirty... wallpaper and paint peeling, gaps in between walls and molding. Shower soaked the ceiling to the point it wasn't usable. No option to attach photos in this review as i have them.
I will say, staff was 5 star... friendly, kind and generally nice.

We had a great stay, the staff we friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was good, we didnt get sick from anything we ate or drink. Sky bar closed for reno unfortunately. Hotel restaurants where pricey and food was just ok. Just small little things in the room like shower hot tap can burn a kid by the way its designed. Unpainted ceiling patches etc. 15 min walk to nearest train station. Overall would stay again. Pool was great and a basic gym

I arrived at this hotel to find out they had changed my room from a one bedroom suite to a two bedroom suite. Worked out great for me even though I didn't have a use for the second bedroom. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies, the space was amazing. The tv had next to no channels. But I booked this hotel for the rooftop bar. The pictures of it looked amazing. Unfortunately, for me all I got was pictures as it was closed for renovations. I would stay here again, but I will make sure the rooftop is done getting fixed next time.
