The accommodation is set in beautiful grounds with pool and deck overlooking the valley. I arrived just as the sun was setting so was welcomed with a wonderful sunset. It is in the centre of Kerikeri so you can easily walk to shops and restaurants. The rooms are large, clean and well maintained with all the appliances you need for a comfortable stay.

Nice place close to shops. The room is rather dated and needs a proper heatpump as the fan provided sounds like a jet plane. Clean room and friendly staff. The pool is lovely and the grounds are well kept.

Very comfortable stay which I extended due to the post cyclone weather. Walking distance about 200m to main street shops and restaurants which is handy when parking difficult due to school holidays. Modern room and bathroom with heated towel rail.

Great Homestead Motel

Great location, just a few minutes walk into town. The receptionist was very helpful on our arrival. It was a lovely little unit, with a patio and chairs out front. The whole site is impeccable. Unfortunately due to bad weather we didn't have the opportunity to use the pool or hut tub, but they both looked very inviting.

A hidden Gem in the heart of Keri Keri

This was one of the best trips. A true revelation of “do not judge a book by its cover”. As you drive in, Keri Keri homestead does not look like much but, it will knock your socks off. My room was very modern and comfortable. Very spacious and super clean. Two nights of wonderful stay and they raised the bar of the next places i stay.

It is tucked away from the road and the fresh green scenery is peaceful. Definitely now book marked as my Keri Keri “address.”

Although it’s just two minutes off the main road, this place is extremely quiet and you feel like you’re on an exotic tropical vacation. The rooms are very light and comfortable.

A very disappointing stay....the room did not have any A/C, it was hot. It was noisy, very outdated, one of the worst motels to stay. I stayed for 4 nights and I couldn't have any good sleep during my stay. I'm usually not a picky person but I will not recommend this motel. Don't be deceived by the pictures of a swimming pool.

I had some left over fish and chips which I thought I could fry up. While pots and pans were provided in the unit there was no stove? There was a microwave and I used that but had to throw the fish and chips away. Also a bit disappointing but perhaps understandable in the covid environment, three of us booked in. Only myself could keep the booking. It would have been nice to have had a refund on the guest fee.

- Close location with easy access to town centre.
-Well maintained garden area creating a nice environment.

Bad:
- Uncomfortable bed lacking support due to old age.
- Timber used in room construction creaks continually throughout night as temperature changes, this was very loud causing difficulty sleeping and was only communicated once we had checked in to the room via a wall poster.
- Spa/pool facilities have posted limited hours of use which is not made clear when booking. These facilities have cut off hours after 7/8 pm which is when we found ourselves wanting to use/relax after a busy day exploring the local region. We raised this to the owner at the time and were allowed an exception on this occasion but something to be aware of.
- Allocated carpark was occupied by another guest and when informed the owner they were not prepared to fix this and requested we park elsewhere for the night.
- Complementary supplies is not provided on a daily basis, such as milk.

The 2 bedroom cottage was roomy and quiet. There were no wardrobe or drawers. There were no electric blankets on some of the beds. There were no power points in the bathroom or anywhere near a mirror.
We would also have liked sky tv.

Only 4 guests there for the nights I was there yet system re linen refresh etc was not adequately explained requiring me to have to ask for a change to be carried out on the second day

It was quiet and central, the unit was lovely and clean, unfortunately the car parks were small and i was parked in in the morning, the beds could do with being upgraded and the only heating was a oil fin heater, which took hours to warm up the unit, the staff were lovely and friendly.

We loved the pool although jacuzzi was under maintenance. No air conditioning and the rooms were very hot. Unfortunately the pub next door had a loud band playing until late and we were in the family unit closest to the pub. Clean and very convenient location to town.

Service poor, no one at reception to check in on arrival. Rooms were not clean. Wireless internet is non existent, Broken hair dryer, TV doesn’t work. 10am on Sunday morning, we can hear leaf blower outside our bedroom. The worst the motel we have ever stayed .

Unfortunately the room we stayed in wasn’t well maintained and the Lockwood construction creaked and cracked very loudly throughout the night and the fan was very noisy. Hopefully the newer units are better.

I think they could have a bigger range of tea bags. They didn’t have Earl Grey and they also don’t give you fresh milk. It’s the long life stuff that isn’t great for a cup of tea. The pub is members only in the lounge part to eat so we were shoved into the bar area which was ok but if we had known would probably have walked somewhere else.

Awesome location, right in town. Loved that we could just walk across the grass to the swimming pool and spa - a real hit with the kids! The grounds were amazing, the staff were very friendly. My only downside would be that the living area was a lot smaller than I thought, the picture are accurate in that that is the space, don't assume as I did that there is extra space beyond that because that photo is taken from the doorway. If travelling with children you may want to ask about the position of your bedroom, our bedroom window was right on the deck of the next door apartment - not ideal for children going to bed early when the neighbours are sitting out chatting, I think this would only be an issue for the apartments in the middle of the row. All in all a fabulous place and I would return but would be asking for a room without the neighbours deck by the bedroom window!
