Beautiful property, small and good service. We stayed in a rosemary suite which was spacious and relatively well furnished. They are situated next to the kids play area so lots of screaming and noise for those wanting quiet! They also allow dogs in all areas which can result in a lot of incessant barking! Overall a beautiful property but would have preferred out of season for a more adult experience. Sandra in the restaurant is exceptionally kind and helpful!

Staff were generally very attentive and helpful. Beautiful grounds. Rooms were clean, spacious and had quality products. The restaurant/bistro has excellent food though we wished they would have more choices on the menu. The only disappointment was breakfast - limited choices for an “hot breakfast” and the quality of the breakfast items was lacking. Indoor and outdoor pools were well kept.

Our friends had the same type of room and had two working ones. For the price you pay here you shouldn’t be uncomfortable

This was a beautiful 5 star hotel. The property is gorgeous. The room is small but lovely- nice bathroom and bathtub. We had a fantastic dinner at the gourmet restaurant. Outstanding. The server was lovely. We took their shuttle into town and that was great. Got to the market and did some shopping. Concierge super helpful also. My only comment is I did not like their pillows! Please get some down pillows for those of us who feel every lump and bump. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay. The spa and indoor pool looked great but we had a very short stay. I would recommend this property highly.

Nice junior suite with private feel about swimming pool.
No cooking facilities as listed on Hotels.com which would have been good with bountiful produce in local markets.
Brisk walk to town centre. Hotel shuttle let us down the one occasion we relied on it by being ‘off’ when we needed it parish on Saturday evening. Over promising and under performing!

Luxurious and conveniently located to St-Remy

Beautiful well located luxury 5-star resort and spa in walking distance of St-Remy-de Provence center Ville. Spacious, comfortable, quiet rooms, featuring large bath areas - perfect for our first trip to Provence. Five star service included constant freshening up of the rooms and very good service. Shuttle service provides easy access to the center village, though we often chose to take our car to one of the conveniently located free parking areas allowing us to conserve our energy for extensive exploration of the shops, restaurants and boulangerie and patisseries. The Spa is luxurious and I took advantage of the excellent masseur on staff - as well as the well-equipped gym for morning workouts. The bar was fine for dinner but high priced and short staffed. We did not take advantage of the Gourmet restaurant. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this true five-star resort.

Disappointing stay in a lovely place!

Certainly the bedroom was not five star standard - we upgraded ourselves at a hefty cost to a suite just for space! Nothing luxurious about it though! Pool was beautiful and pool staff were lovely. However grass at the edge of pool was overgrown and full of weeds for two days of our stay before being cut! The hotel needs some re-decorating in general areas as it stands don’t know how it’s 5 star! Maybe because of the spa and pool??

Very elegant hotel with fantastic service and food. We had a room with a terrace that overlooked the pool. Breakfast on the terrace was plentiful and delicious.

A short walk (10 minutes) to the center of St Remy was welcome, especially after some wonderful meals.

All in all, a place that rates a return visit!

It is a beautiful hotel, modern and with great facilities and service. It is ideal to relax and rest in a luxury environment if you have already visited Provence before.

We used our car to visit the tourist area of Saint Remy because the roads don’t have sidewalks. A good parking area is next to the Tourist office. The hotel also offers a shuttle service for a small fee.

Con: it’s hit and miss on the check-in staff. Love the night shift but not the check-in staff during the day. There are two kinds of attitudes on their reception: the “aloof” french and the charming french. I would say that the reception who works during the day will fall into the “aloof” French.

We stayed for 6 nights and chose this hotel as it was supposedly a 5* hotel and not too far from the centre of the town. However the hotel charged for the shuttle's to take us into town - not something I expect from this grade of hotel. The restaurant is very expensive and the service was poor.

Terrible experience. The hotel is run down in parts. Our room (junior suite) had a broken air conditioner and it smelled like a sewer. We were so disappointed. The manager offered to put us in a smaller room that was very run down and in need of restoration with a $20 discount to the spa....silly. It’s a real shame because the grounds and restaurant are amazing! Please warn guests.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely staff

We stayed at the Vallon de Valrugues for 6 nights and were overall very pleased with our choice. The hotel is gorgeous and is located very close to town (an easy 5 minute walk to the center of St. Remy). The staff were extremely kind and helpful and they had one of the most delicious breakfasts I've ever had! Pool area and pool bar are also beautiful though it was too chilly for us to actually swim during our week there. They also have a well-rated and beautiful on site restaurant though we didn't eat in it (did order room service one night and that was extremely quick and delicious). They give you little extras like free water bottles in your room and a bottle of wine upon arrival which are also nice touches. Our room overlooked the pool and had a little balcony and a pretty view.

My only complaint, and it's a small one, was the smell in our toilet room was very unpleasant. The bathroom has a separate shower and tub area and that was fine, but there was an odor from the sewer (or something) in the separate area that held the toilet. We kept the door closed so it didn't affect the room, and I hate to even mention it when the hotel was excellent in every other way, but just to be fair, I felt I had to. However, I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely relaxed hotel. We had the cheapest room in the hotel and it still had approx 2 metres space around king size bed. Very comfy bed. Pool is amazing - heated and very quiet until after lunch. Food lovely - we had breakfast and one lunch - but otherwise we loved the restaurants in St Remy - particularly tabac des alpilles. Staff perfectly lovely. Only drawbacks (and we are pretty fussy!) are pool bar only serves a couple of platters for lunch so wouldnt recommend it for food and no English tv channels. Fabulous place would highly recommend for a few days stay here. Temperature was 34 to 36 degrees!

We arrived at this hotel as our third hotel in two weeks. We had lovely rooms at the previous hotels and were paying even more for our room at this hotel, We were shown to a very small room no dressing table and very little room for anything and a balcony with a concrete wall up ti four feet so when we sat our there we had no view and it was very small The bathroom was equally cramped with nowhere to put make up and a close up mirror set far too high for a woman. The hotel itself had a very nice terrace where breakfast was served, the breakfast was good but not included in the price and a very nice swimming pool. The staff were pleasant but when we asked if they had a larger room on arrival they said they could not move us as they were busy. On checking out we asked about occupancy and they said they were not full and I think it would have been nice to have offered us an upgrade on checking in This is a five star hotel with very unsatisfactory bedrooms. We loved this hotel. The location is great next to the forest very quiet private..small boutique hotel of high quality. The reception crew is the highlight in our stay. I am a world traveler and this was unique care..my brother decided to go to UEFA semifinals the day before the game..we used all out connections and couldn' t find a ticket..the young people at reception found one at the french federation website. My brother celebrated it by going to sauna at 10 pm..I wanted to walk to the village at pitch dark with some hesitation.the young lady lady at reception read my mind and gave a map and the hotel' s card saying , \" give us a call, we will have you picked up\" if you need to on your way back..The village is beautiful and the young people at the reception are so sincere making your stay a delight. We will definetely go to St Remy andchoose this hotel again, one day. :-))

Functional but no charm. Yes it is walking distance from the city center of St Remy, but you have to go accross a bunch of newly constructed condominiums, very ugly. I didn't try the restaurant because the room was tacky, and unpleasant. The staff, though, was very polite and nice. The indoor pool, hammam,jacuzzi were average. I had a junior suite, hospital looking.

A nice Hotel located very close to St. Remi. 5 Star it is not... more like a 4 Star. The staff is completely amazing, the hotel is slightly dated in the common areas but the rooms have been updated. We had the deluxe terrace and it was really nice, but, the Bed!!!! The Bed was so hard and this is why I didn't score the experience higher... If the bed had been great, I would definitely return again. It seems every bed in France is a joke and every Hotel gets 1 star more than they deserve... everywhere, including Paris. Never the less this Hotel offers easy parking, great food a nice pool area and is a terrific location if you want to visit the St Remi / Eygalieres area. Improve your beds and you will have return customers again and again....

A very clean and comfortable four, definitely not five, star hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our meals in both restaurants. Bar service and pool service was poor. Pool service was non existent in fact. We had to search out a barman to ask for a pool side drink. The rooms were clean and comfortable. No complimentary bottled water was provided in room which I think was a shame as they claim to be a 5 star hotel. All in all we very much enjoyed our three night stay here.

This is a nice small hotel/spa in a great location if you want to walk into town. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is very nice and has a nice pool and outdoor lounging environment. However, I penalized it heavily as the restaurant staff (waiters) were amateurs at best...not very attentive and did not speak English. This needs to be improved to justify their current rating.

This is a hotel that lives up to its 5-star rating. It exceeded our expectations and is located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful walks nearby. Our dinner on the patio of the bistro was very tasty and a good value. It is a great base from which to discover the treasures of Provence. The concierge recommended a winery for us to visit that was in a gorgeous setting, and had a staff that made our tasting experience memorable.

This hotel was lovely in every way. We would recommend it to friends. We would return in a heartbeat. We stayed three nights, as a base, and toured around by car. St. Remy is centrally located in Provence. A warm welcome, very clean room, helpful reception desk (for landmarks and directions), good buffet breakfast, nice pool. The hotel is a ten minute walk to town. The hotel has an extremely formal restaurant, if you like the \"haute cuisine\" experience. If you prefer a more casual dining environment with good, traditional French food, try a restaurant in town. Ask the front desk for a recommendation, so you don't get stuck in a tourist trap.

The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Provence. Moreover, the property is so lovely and the service so wonderful, that we were disappointed we did not have more time just to spend on site. Pool area is lovely, the chairs and towels were luxurious and the poolside food service was great. Room was lovely and well appointed with gorgeous views. Staff was helpful with information about the area as well as hotel services. The icing on the cake was the restaurant - run by a wonderful chef Mark di Passorio. The meal we had there was by far the most memorable we had in France.

Très bel hôtel et à proximité du centre de st Rémy

L’hôtel est parfait pour passer un agréable moment quelque soit le moment de l’année puisqu’il y a une piscine extérieure et intérieure
Le cadre est magnifique. Les chambres peuvent parfois paraître un peu vieillotte en fonction de celle que vous avez mais l’environnement extérieur le fait oublier. Vous êtes à quelques minutes à pied de st Rémy de Provence sinon l’hôtel propose des navettes gratuites pour vous y rendre. Le personnel est au top, à votre écoute. Il y a un voiturier sur place
Je recommande sans aucune hésitation pour ceux qui ont le budget pour

bel hotel - superbe piscine extérieure avec une belle végétation.
piscine intérieure avec spa et hammam. très bien
Dommage que les suites que nous avions réservées ne donnaient pas sur la piscine et le jardin mais sur les parking

Staff who served breakfast was very nice and friendly.
However,when we left they disregarded that we had already paid 50 % when we booked with hotels.com
(Despite the proof we had with us)and insisted we pay twice. Well - it I’ll end at court.
Food at the restaurants is not really good. Cannot rec9mmend this hotel.

terrible mattress

The hotel has a very good pool and spa, but it was the hotel with the worst mattress I have ever stayed in in my life. It was worn out with a hole in the middle, it looked very old. The room also had very simple furniture, not worthy of a 5-star hotel.

très déçu, trop cher, pas à la hauteur

Très médiocre, tout juste 4* , niveau Paladia toulouse, les chambres sont minuscules, les SDB encore plus petites, des produits en diffuseurs à pompes, scandaleux pour un prétendu 5*, je vous invite à vous rendre au Royal Hotel de San Remo qui est un véritable 5*, des produits de SDB individuels de grandes qualités , des serveurs en gilets et noeuds paillon le tout pour 275€ la nuit hors saison rien de comparable avec les tarifs exorbitants de Valrugues , je suis très déçu, seul le voiturier est à la hauteur, je pourrais en écrire encore mais je préfère arrêter mon commentaire
