Clean room, comfortable bed. Not a lot of parking in the lot and some of the spaces are small; there is street parking, but in a neighborhood with a lot of hotels, apartments, and condos, so it can fill up at night. Room was musty and only had a sliding glass door (which was also the only door, no windwos) to get any fresh air inside - other rooms may have more options.

Accommodations were clean and good sized. Messaging with staff had prompt response and was able to check in late with a lock box.
Negatives were when we got in around 8:30-9 ish there was no parking available. Had to unload in driveway and park next door. Breakfast was offered quite late at 8 so we were unable to enjoy that perk. Overall would stay again.

Make sure you arrive for a parking spot by 7pm
If not, then you will have to park in the street.
Plus the parking spaces are small in width size.
It is easy to get too and Lucy’s is right next door.
The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable.

Room 213 suffers from a constant dripping on the roof above, all night long, coming from the third floor roof. Very annoying, and earplugs required. Bed squeaks. Parking is good unless fully booked- then you may need to park on the street. Occasional but not daily room make-up service.

Olympia Lodge was a great stay for our Monterey weekend trip. Property was clean and lobby was nice. Limited hours due to staffing shortages so i would recommend checking in before 6pm. Breakfast was provided and the double queen room was spacious and even had a patio. Loved the spacious closet as well! Only thing was no hand soap provided, walls are thin, and parking was limited. There is free street parking on the street of where the hotel is located so it worked out. There is even a ice cream shop next to the hotel. Overall i would recommend this hotel if you want to be super close by the aquarium, fishermans wharf, beaches and Carmel, CA +17-mile drive.

We had a very pleasant two-night stay at Olympia Lodge. Our rooms were on the upper floor so we got to enjoy the beautiful high ceilings. The property was clean and well kept and we had no problem finding parking near the stairs, even with us going in and out several times a day. The breakfast boxes are a great concept. The only thing we could have wished for would be for them to be available earlier, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. We greatly enjoyed the proximity to the waterfront and the ability to walk the beautiful streets around the inn.

9/10 The stay was exactly what we expected, for the price of the room and a last-minute reservation. Room was dated, but spacious. Room, fridge, microwave, and sheets were clean. Parking was good, surrounding area felt safe, and room was quiet. We slept well. From the lodge, a short walk to beach, golf course, and lighthouse. Our room had a balcony, from which we could see the ocean. Front desk staff was polite and helpful—appreciated that!

The hotel is aging and has that old house smell. However, our room was large and clean, with a lovely high ceiling. We could see the ocean from our balcony. The hotel is situated close to the lighthouse beach and the monarch sanctuary and is a short drive to the restaurants in Pacific Grove. It is quieter here than Cannery Row. The parking lot is small, so we had to street park after getting back late from dinner. This wasn’t a problem for us, but would be a consideration if you have mobility issues. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would book again.

Room was musty and hot - we got the one without a balcony but did not realize it would have these weird patio doors - kinda off putting keeping them open for fresh air. Otherwise beds and linen were clean and comfy. Bathtub could do with an upgrade - had lots of chips. Location was amazing - easy walk to beach or downtown in opposite direction. Loved the included breakfast boxes - wish they did yoghurts for a healthier option. Drinking water was a nuisance since they had a pitcher in the back office you had to ask for. Overall we had a nice stay - just wish the room wasn’t so stuffy!

I had no trouble finding parking but it was a small parking area. The staff were very helpful and kind. There was an issue with water pressure in one of the rooms we had. It was quaint and peaceful. Short walk to the beach. Absolutely beautiful.

Near the lighthouse, golf course and the ocean. From our balcony on the second floor we could see the ocean. Pacific Grove downtown is nearby and nice with several restaurants featuring live music on Saturday night. It’s a great location to get away from the busier areas of the Monterey area. Although the hotel is an older property it’s within walking distance of the ocean, golf course and lighthouse and a short drive to the charming downtown area.

am extremely disappointed with our stay at Olympia Lodge. This place was absolutely not worth $200 a night, and we will never stay here again.

From the moment we walked in, there was a terrible, musty smell. The sheets did not feel clean, and the entire room felt outdated and neglected. The beds honestly felt like they were from the 1940s — incredibly old and uncomfortable. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been replaced since the 1950s. Everything felt worn down and grimy.

We actually had to clean the shower ourselves before we could even take a shower. That alone says everything. For $200 a night, that is completely unacceptable.

My boyfriend and I swear we saw signs of bed bugs, which made it impossible to relax. The heater was ancient and didn’t even work properly. The sliding doors barely locked, which made us feel unsafe.

The only positive was that the staff was nice — but unfortunately, they didn’t really do much to resolve the issues.

This place desperately needs a major update and deep cleaning. Disgusting experience. Never again.

The heat didn’t work, there was very little water pressure in the shower, the sink was clogged, and the toilet plunger didn’t seal, so the water ran into the toilet constantly. And, the breakfast was a croissant and a cookie in a box.

Room was clean, heater worked, linen was in good condition. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Parking was terrible because there was not nearly enough to accommodate even one vehicle per room. Handle fell off the sink and shower head leaked. There were no grab bars in the tub and the bathroom floor was stained. We found a prescription pill on the floor that was not ours. The door to the room was a glass sliding door that was the only window in the room. All lights in main area were on a single switch and there were no bedside lights. There were only enough outlets for 4 items to be plugged in. We will not be staying there again.

An amazing experience!! Beautiful room, beautiful view! Really enjoyed the breakfast. Best value in California. A word of caution about Pacific Grove, however: parking in the main part of town is a trap, where the city gives outrageous fines for any car not perfectly within the lines. Otherwise, amazing place.

The room was comfortable. The tub was old and had a few pit marks and stains, but sanitized. The bed was great, but the pillows were not good for sleeping (just for leaning up against the headboard).

Our room was right in front of the stairs, so the light at night was quite bright.

We have stayed here before and had a better experience, mostly because of the location of the room.
