Room was generally clean. There was no comforter on the bed and we went to ask for one, they told us that they only had sheets. They did bring an extra blanket up to our room after finding the bed bare.
Hair in the bathroom was left as well. Not recommend for a long-term stay, but fine for a one-night quick stay. Close to Manhattan’s F/M lines to the city.

Bring cash! Unfortunately we asked for early check in. According to Prodiga, young lady at the front desk, the only way to pay for early check in is cash. OH WELL! The surrounding area around the hotel was not desirable. Not much to do near the hotel. Getting to and from the subway is relatively close but again, not desirable. Next time I would spend more to stay at a more convenient location!

I am not gonna sugar coat this. This hotel is not in a good area. It’s fine if you take an Uber to and from, but don’t think you’re gonna walk around the neighborhood. It is cheap for a reason. The room was sparse but clean. If you need an inexpensive bare bones hotel, then this works.

The Villa is a great rate for an NYC hotel so close to Manhattan. The property is newly renovated with very nice rooms. Very friendly staff. Hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the 21 st/ Queensboro Bridge subway stop.
4 stops to Midtown. Neighborhood is a great mixture of local shops, hotels and housing projects and we always felt safe!

First time staying in Long Island city, from the outside of the hotel not the best and very rough. But only an 8 minute walk from queens bridge subway station, with lots of fast chain restaurants, Wendy’s, Taco Bell and bodegas around the area on the way to hotel.

However the room was excellent, spacious, with a fridge, comfortable bed, tv was good and everything worked, staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this for a budget stay 3 nights, for price I paid £286 worth it. I would definitely be staying here again. I would say go to midtown on your first trip to New York. This was my 5th and I was comfortable with everything.

This place has always been very good to me and my girlfriend when we have to visit there they legit are so nice and accommodating for us. We had a certain situation come up and they waived the normal fee for us. I will say in particular The man named Ashraf in the front desk is such a delightful man he really helped us and his customer service is absolutely amazing. Anybody looking to stay somewhere definitely stay here. Me and my girlfriend will always continue to come back. Also the prices are one of the best in queens.

This hotel offers the bare essentials, nothing less, nothing more. The room was clean, the a/c worked, the bathroom was fully functional and spacious. However, bed squeaked if you walked near it and the workspace was a bit cramped for me. There was no safe in the room, and there are no food facilities onsite. However, there is a vending machine in the cafeteria. The Wi-Fi is pretty decent and I had no issues with it. If you just need a clean, quite, place to rest, at great prices, and you are in the area, check them out.

Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the room was roomy for two people with a modern full size bathroom. We were allowed to check in at no additional cost (typically they charge $40) but the man at the front desk was very nice since we had alot of bags. — there is nowhere to store bags if your room is not ready so plan accordingly. The room was very clean, air conditioning and heating worked great, WiFi was strong, however walls were thin. You could hear pretty much everything because rooms are close together.

This hotel is close to the projects so keep that in mind. This isn’t the nicest area of queens. But I never feared for my safety and found it easy to get around. This is a short 5m walk to the Q66 bus and the F train.

On a different day it could have been a nice stay.

When we got there I noticed that whoever had stayed in my room previously had lightly smeared what looked like excrement on the back of the bathroom door, and there was a booger on the TV. We asked staff to clean it up and they did, but that’s not something anybody should be missing pre check in. Other than that the room was relatively clean. We needed more pillows and there weren’t any available aside from the two extremely weak/unsupportive ones left with the room. Took an hour to request a TV remote that actually worked.

My say was extremely pleasant especially dealing with owner Asaraf. He was extremely professional and compassion and takes the customer service to a whole nother level. He takes pride and ensuring his guests receive the best c/s accommodations.
Rooms are extremely clean so much that you can even eat off the floor. Very quiet peaceful night. Made me feel as if I was walking home after a long journey. Only if we regret that I have is that I did not find him sooner. I will definitely returning

The only reason I gave 4stars some two of the questions was; the area was near the projects where their was a lot of police one day, I felt safe they were there but alarmed at their presence and the amount, next was the room didn’t have a fridge or microwave in the room. Other than they my stay was awesome, the staff was a pleasure and the guy at the counter w/the glasses was very nice he found my ID that I didn’t realize I lost until it was time to check out! He did write down his name for me but I forgot it in my other coat. All and all I would book. Again even with the minor (conveniences) not available. But just about a block maybe two way there are a lot of places to choose to eat and it’s very close to public transit! I really like my room deposit being in cash because I don’t have to wait 2-3 days for it to come on my card I get it right as I’m checking out!

Lots of hotels in this vicinity but the surrounding area was deprived and sketchy at night. Felt uncomfortable walking after dark. Hotel itself was pleasant at first sight but the problems started soon after, it seems that the hotel also houses people that are government assistance. Every night of my 7 night stay was disturbed by long arguments, fighting and partying in various rooms on the same floor. Even on Sunday mornings, loud music and people shouting seemed to be the norm. I mentioned this to the reception staff on a couple of occasions but there hands we're tied due to being no security on site. The rooms was tidy and efficent but lacked any toiletries for the shower, which i thought most hotels provided, Also a lack of storage space let the room down. Overall an unpleasant 7 day stay for me.

Receptionist was lazy and did not shut down a party in room next door I had to go in person to request a room change. He then said he can’t shut it down because it’s a risk for him. He should have said that from the beginning. Instead of having me call 3 times to shut it down and that I had to do a new room change in person at the lobby.

•You have to walk through a housing projects to get to the hotel from the train.
•There is a $100 cash deposit upon check in.
•The was no storage space in the queen room, there was a bed, desk and chair, one side table, bathroom, small coat rack with one coat hanger and a small shelf above it-the room is very small
•No telephone in room
•My sheets were dirty upon arrival and when I asked the front desk for new ones, I was told I had to wait for housekeeping
•Housekeeping comes and was not going to change the fitted sheet on the bed, I insisted that it be changed because the sheets smelled like pee
•Housekeeping asks me for a tip (absolutely not, the sheets should have been clean prior to my arrival!!)
•There is no mini fridge in the room
•There is no microwave in the room
•This hotel does not provide breakfast.

Use caution when booking at this location.

Overall: You’re getting what you pay (or I guess don’t pay) for. It’s a cheap hotel.
Hotel: Rougher part of the city, but close to some fast food restaurants and a subway entrance so it made getting into Manhattan easy.
Staff: Checking in and out was quick, but I didn’t interact with them outside of that other than once right after checking in.
Room: Smaller than I had expected. It was on the first floor, so I could hear everything from the lobby. The window looked into a creepy back alley, so I left the blinds shut the entire time. Mattress was wrapped in plastic underneath the fitted sheet, and there were just two pillows, a sheet, and a thin fleece blanket with a hole in it on top of the bed. My lamp had no light bulbs, and when I asked the staff, they said they have no extras and no housekeeper.
Bathroom: Basic, basic amenities (hair dryer and towels). No shower soaps. The hand soap in my bathroom was already opened, so I didn’t use it for my entire stay. They had given me fresh towels on my third day and one of them had a hole in it.

Great customer service. They will take care of you. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience. The prices are great. It's hard to find a hotel with a beautiful view of the city and bridge for the price they charge. The internet is fast, which is important to me because I work a lot online. If you don't like something...just tell them and they will take care of you. Therefore, my stays were great so far. I hope they keep it up. Some places I used to like changed and now i stay at this hotel when i'm in the area.

There was only one person on staff. The room was stocked with amenities as a basics hotel room would be stocked. I assigned a room key so anytime I had to leave the room, the front desk attendant had to escort me to my paid for room to allow me access. Horrible

I stayed here for four nights in January. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. For 3 out of the 4 nights, there was no hot water in the shower.
In the middle of an NYC winter, taking cold/lukewarm showers is unacceptable. Despite notifying the front desk, the issue was not resolved in a timely manner. While the location was good (we were in Long Island City right near Queens), staff did not offer any support beyond telling us to keep running water (which we did every night). Especially in the winter, a proper functioning shower (with at least warm water is a basic requirement.
I expected much better for the price and for this level of hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel to others traveling during winter months.
