Cleaning staff were SO polite. Check-in staff- not so much.
Pros:
Pool, hot tub, clean towels all days we stayed.
Cons:
Parking lot being sold to non-hotel guests for $48.50 limiting parking for hotel guests. We grabbed last spot on check-in day, stayed two nights and never moved. They ran out of spots. Greedy hotels always trying to make more money. Hotel was quite packed!

Wish lobby had filtered water station. Most hotels have them. They have small convenience store attached, charging absurd rates for any items.

Overall- pricey for what you get. Stay elsewhere for half costs!

This is our favorite place to stay when going to Disneyland. The location just can’t be beat. When you’re tired and your feet are sore after 12+ hours of walking around the parks, being just across from the main entrance is so nice. The rooms are not fancy but they are clean, well maintained, and the beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. We are fans of the Tropicana!

Jasmine, at the front desk, was extremely helpful. The parking situation is quite confusing on arrival. There is both valet and free parking. But they’re basically the same thing.
The hotel is extremely convenient. There are restaurants in very close proximity. The crosswalk to Disneyland is less than a half block away. I would stay here again.

I enjoyed our stay, check in was easy and quick. The staff offer to check in early for a fee if your room becomes available which is really nice. The staff are also friendly and helpful. We had to ask for help with a plumbing issue and the maintenance man was there immediately! I have nothing but good things to say about the Tropicana! One suggestion would be purchase added blankets and pillows. We asked for additional (2) pillows and another blanket because I get cold and were told the only extras are the ones in the small case already in the room. The issue I have is that blanket is so thin and my husband sleeps with full AC that I was freezing ! I had to use my coat and sweatshirt to cover up with just to me warm enough to sleep without wearing dull clothes lol so if you are reading this please offer added blankets!

They dont change the sheets everyday, or at least every 2 days. We stayed for 4 nights. Also the toiletries shown on the photos do not match the actual toiletries provided: which was a bar of soap by the sink and a bottle each of body wash and conditioning shampoo in the shower. Not enough towel hooks to hang towels from.

Excellent location, great service, and loved the option of early check in for modest fee. Oh, the pool and jacuzzi were really nice as well. No need to bring your own towels. Small negatives are the pillows, a lack of towel bars in bathroom and minor road noise. That's it really.

My sister and I drove up from San Diego and stayed one night after doing a day at Disneyland. I've stayed at many good neighbor properties over the years. The location of this hotel can't be beat, staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the noise. We could hear everything from our room (we were even all the way down so far from the street). We heard all the other guests, vacuums, tvs, music, showers, etc. I should also add that was with ear plugs. Maybe if you're a heavy sleeper this is the place for you but I'd personally stay elsewhere and enjoy a night of real rest.

I have stayed at The Tropicana 3 times. The proximity to Disneyland can’t be beat. The rooms and property are very clean and pretty well updated. The staff is always friendly. I do wish the on property store offered more for breakfast. They advertise pastries and coffee but I found neither, besides some prepackaged pastries.

Terrible service, found a spider coming down from the ceiling, my room didn't look like what I requested, asked for the rooms to be near each other and they were extremely far apart, staff arriving was awful and staff when checking out was also awful. Very clean property. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly. The room was nice but not really spacious. Enough room for two people but I think if you had anymore in their standard two Queen room, it would be very cramped. Definitely would stay again, very close to walk in entrance to Disneyland. No breakfast included and parking is very tight but they have valet parking on site 24 hours a day.

This was our first time staying here. Proximity to Disneyland is great. Rooms were a good size. The pull out twin did not have any sheets or extra blankets provided in the room. I thought they would be in the closet area. The room seemed a little dated. It was clean. Fridge and microwave in our room.

I saw a laundry room and ice maker. Did not use.
The staff was a mix. When arriving the young lady was a bit rude. Especially compared to other hotels we have stayed at near by. The gentleman upfront who was not helping us said some vulgar words after an exchange with the mail carrier. All this happened at check in.

When coming back later to retrieve our luggage a different lady up front was very helpful and pleasant.

Not the most up to date hotel, but location was perfect to enter Disneyland or the adventure park. Had a small fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Two large beds, a small lounge, powerpoints but no USB points. Bathroom with large shower, toilet in bathroom hand basin outside adjacent to main room. Swimming pool that looked good but no time to use.

This is our go to place to stay when visiting disneyland. The location is across the street and easy walking distance. There is ihop, mcdonalds, paneta, dennys and tony romas within a few minute walk which is beru helpful. Pool was clean and great for a break.

Overall property was great. Only need a place to sleep. Property is great location across the street from DL. Rooms were clean and presentable.

Check in was a different story from everything else. Checking in was very cold and rehearsed and quick. Didn’t take time to explain where our room was, just pulled the map out and drew a couple circles. Also didn’t explain the chargers that I was paying for. Very rehearsed and no personality. Not the best thing to walk into first thing on the property after a long flight.

Besides the from the check in issue everything was great. Would stay here again if the price is right and can look past the front end issue.

Charged for parking, but ran out of spots due to using the same lot for valet. No breakfast available, but Denny’s and IHOP near by. No service for cleaning except fresh towels daily.

Honestly I was impressed with the cleanliness and service, better than expected and better than the Fairfield we stayed at the night before. I just wish they had some USB charging ports in the room! Being your chargers and power blocks - charged phones and other accessories are essential for a long day at Disneyland.

Loved having a kitchen separate from the room that included a dining table for 4. Although we didnt use the stove top, I did notice some of the burners were a bit warped which could make it difficult to cook for others. I do wish they would offer more than trash and towels for housekeeping during our stay, as we did have some small spills on our sheets that I had to clean up. Overall though it's great as a place to just sleep and recharge for another day at Disney. We stayed on the 1st floor which did lead to a lot of traffic right outside our door that we could clearly hear, but I understand it comes with the layout of the hotel. Still, I would stay here again, it was family friendly and so close to the park entrance. Also, they need more parking somehow, like the valet guy said, there's more rooms here than spaces to park, so even though I paid for self parking, we ended up having to valet our van due to no more self parking.

First of all- the location was absolutely fabulous! Right across the street from Disneyland. Our room was updated, clean, and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is that the rooms were quite small for my family of 5. We would have loved a little more room to move around, but we managed. Also, we had been traveling for a few days before and after, so a laundry service would have been nice. All in all, it was a great place to stay. We would absolutely stay there again!

Parking is very limited, I wasn’t able to park my car early. I parked a few hotels down. Once I was able to bring my car over it was blocked and couldn’t leave without getting valet involved. Hotel overall feels run down. I won’t be returning, the price doesn’t justify the experience I had.

I have to say for the price and it bing right across the street is a win ... genuinely hate waiting for an Uber or bus tram to take at the end of the day as all I want to do is lay down and that's what you get ...Had a basic room so you get a coffee machine microwave and mini fridge however no actual table other then a small bedside desk you get sofa but no extra chairs ...walls are thin but over all good for the stay room was clean McDonald's is literally less than a 5 min walk

I was disappointed with the parking situation because you have to pay for parking which is fine but then you can’t even park in front of the room you are staying at if you are on the first floor but to add to it you have to go find your own parking spot that has been sold to people that aren’t even guests at the hotel so it makes the start of the trip already bittersweet so I don’t think I will be returning to this hotel because it’s too much of an inconvenience.

The rooms are clean and modern. The beds are a little firm but not terrible. My only complaint is the market that is on property advertises “pastries” for breakfast that you can buy. I was thinking maybe some fresh pastries would be available but they were all pre packaged and not much selection. Otherwise it was very convenient for getting to and from Disney. I will be staying there again on my next trip.

I have visited Anaheim two to three times a year and have stayed at numerous hotels around the Disneyland area so the only two things about the Tropicana Hotel that were good was location and their Valet attendants other then that overpriced for what you get front desk not very informative or helpful beds uncomfortable definitely will not stay there again wish it would have been

The room was way too small for our family of 4. There’s not even a table to sit and eat food at besides a tiny bedside table and there’s hardly any room to even put suitcases. We stayed for 5 nights and they don’t change the bedding for the whole stay. Was a clean hotel but overall very uncomfortable for my husband and I and our 2 young boys.

The location of this hotel is phenomenal when visiting Disneyland with children. It is literally right across the street and an easy walk. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our sink was draining slow on the first day and the front desk staff had it fixed immediately. They switched out our towels everyday and dumped the trash which was great. The valet staff were always nice and very cheerful. There was a microwave and small fridge as well as a coffee maker in the room. The room was clean and very comfortable.
