Loved this hotel! It's a beautiful old building and we had a lovely room that opened onto a balcony. It's right on the grand canal and short walking distance to the train station. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was very good. 30 minutes walk to St. Mark's square. You can't go wrong here

The room was incredibly hot they said they turned off the heat but the heat continued throughout the night so we had to open the window which was not ideal as we were on the first floor. The front desk staff at check in was great as was the gentleman who took our bags to the room but the desk staff in the morning was not as friendly.

Breakfast is a croissant and juice. The room was fine but the hot water literally lasted less than 2-3 minutes. And to top it off, I messaged the hotel to add two people to the reservation since I was in a junior suite. I asked them how much extra it would be to add. They said it wouldn’t cost anymore only the city tax, which was three dollars per person per day. But when I arrived and getting ready to check in, they tried to charge me an extra €120 for the two people despite me showing copies of the messages regarding me asking if there was any extra fee and the Hotel representative telling me that there would be no extra charge.

The location is great a 2 minute walk from the Santa Lucia train station in the main canal. Nice restaurant in the lobby and good breakfast. No a/c available it was uncomfortable in the room even though it was late October, we were forced to leave the terrace door open and when I called the don’t give me no option. The location of Hotel Principe is absolute perfection! We took a water taxi directly to the hotel and were immediately impressed. The staff was friendly, and the American and Italian-style breakfast was excellent each morning. Staying at Hotel Principe was such a neat experience! Being right on the water gave it a truly special Venetian feel, and the views were beautiful. The location couldn’t have been more convenient — it was walkable to so many spots and just a short distance from the train station, which made getting around super easy. The room was comfortable and clean, and I especially loved the shampoo — it smelled just like limoncello! Overall, a wonderful stay with charm and convenience in equal measure. Perhaps my only suggestion is some new carpet or flooring 😉

I did ask about airport transfer and was only given two pricy options, I would also have appreciated something along the lines of \"...also the bus station is a less than 10 minute walk with an express bus.\" That is my only ding...but I get it and it's more a buyer beware comment. Great Family Stay at Hotel Principe – Venice
We traveled as a family and had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Principe. The location is excellent—less than a 5-minute walk from the Santa Lucia train station, which was very convenient when arriving and departing the city.
We had two rooms. Although they didn’t have a canal view, they were bright, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. One day, we did notice a faint onion smell when opening the window, but it was a one-time occurrence and didn’t impact our overall experience.
Breakfast was one of the highlights: very complete and varied, with fresh fruit, real-tasting eggs (not the artificial kind!), a nice assortment of breads, and a good selection of drinks. It was also included in our reservation made through Hotels.com, which was a great plus.
The hotel has direct access to the canal, which allowed us to enjoy beautiful views and experience a traditional Venetian moment, with gondolas passing right in front of us.
While main attractions like St. Mark’s Square are about a 40-minute walk away, the walk itself is enjoyable and a great way to explore Venice’s charming streets.
All in all, a very good option for staying in Venice, especially if you’re arriving by train and traveling with family.

Right accross the Main train station in Rome (Tremini Station)- close to hop-on/Hop-off buses, very clean, breakfast options were extensive, room was very clean and the nightly rate is very competitive. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good balance of convenience, economy and quality.

The hotel is so clean with beautiful view on the grand canal in the middle of the shopping areas and just 2 minutes walk from the main train station and walking distance from everything and like 25 minutes walk from the St. Marko (the main plaze). I really recomand the hotel to any one going there, even rooms prices are reasnoble.

Easy and convenient right at the entrance to Venice. Less than 5 minutes from the train station, and just about a 10-minute walk if you arrive by taxi or bus from the airport. It’s easy to get around, with restaurants, shops, and beautiful canal views all around. Plus, the rooms are spacious, and many come with a balcony.

However , and this is big. The ac was NOT working when we arrived and the first night was like 90 degrees in the room. They finally fixed at late in the second day after I complained and told them I was gonna leave.

Good location to access the waterbus and train station. Reception staff very helpful and the hotel was very clean. Found the breakfast waitress a little rude as they didnt acknowledge you or really look at you if you moved out of the way to help them.

It was next to the station and not far from the bridge where buses and taxis take you to the airport. So good location for that. The inisde was clean. Not super modern very fancy in a old way.It was a little lopsided which made me think that structurally it might be a bit funky, but then again we are in a city that is sinking.

Really good location for what we wanted, v close to main train station, restaurants and boats to get around. Buffet breakfast was excellent with a variety of options. This property is beautiful, well maintained and well staffed. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and most important in June, they have great air conditioning! The location was good, close to train station which is great as getting around with bags might otherwise be difficult. Our stay was too short but we enjoyed it greatly!

It is very convenient to the train station. The hotel itself is nicely appointed. Our room was spacious, comfortable and perfectly attended to by the staff. When we stepped out onto the balcony we were greeted with a with a beautiful view of the Grand Canal and all its wonder. There was also a lovely patio by the canal that we sat out on each night to watch the various boats and Gondal's go by. It was peaceful and relaxing, everything you could imagine in a Venice vacation. For breakfast they have an excellent assortment of pastries, fruits, cheeses, breads, cereals, along with eggs, meats, pancakes and more. The staff was efficient and friendly. The shower cubicle was a little small but was overshadowed by everything else.

The hotel is in a great location to access the station, water taxis from the hotel or on foot. The standard rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Our room had noisy air conditioning and turned off we could hear it from adjoining room. The rooms also do not have coffee or tea making facilities which I missed. We had breakfast each day which was plentiful and there is seating outside viewing the canal. There are plenty of restaurants outside and nearby. Overall an enjoyable stay.
