From the moment I walked in to the moment I left the staff were incredible. I checked in very late and the receptionist upgraded my room to a suite, which I didn't ask for but just goes to show the high standard of service they provide. The breakfast was excellent with an incredible choice and variety. Thank you will come back.

3rd Stay at Voco Riyadh . Negative this time

This was my 3rd Stay in Voco Riyadh but this time my stay was disappointing. I stayed in the North Tower vs South Tower earlier. The room looked
old n claustrophobic ie not suitable for a good stay at all.

The worst experience I ever had in a hotel

Starting from the check in to check out, for the whole 6 nights, I literally had the worst experience ever.

the staff lack experience and basic hospitality skills, when I say basic I mean it.

I had a confoimred and paid booking for 6 nights with breakfast, howeber the recepionis kept argiun

amazing hotel; lobby, swimming pool, restaurants, reception, breakfast. lovely chocolate bar for free 5pm-7pm everyday!!!!
The only two issues was: certain rooms are facing the inside of the hotel (no view at all, no sunlight) & (the AC inside the room was soo noise)

Nice property; spacious room (premium room) - nice window view of King Fahad Road.

I wasn’t thrilled with breakfast; the salads, fruit, pastries and most breads were great. However the hot food was simply ok.

I’m a foodie - so I would have preferred a wider selection from day to day. It would also be great that some of the food be pared better (for example - there were Asian noodles one day but nothing else to accompany it, the day before there was a nicely prepared Asian chicken dish (maybe a Schezwan like sauce) but nothing to eat with it … the only thing that was fluid in thought (in my opinion) was the British breakfast foods, but even they were spread out (not by each other).

I’d also like to recommend that the Paratha, or any Indian bread offered, is prepared fresh — it’s not appealing under the heat lamp .. and thus the reason why people aren’t taking it (it’s dried out) .. and finally I’d suggest that the spring rolls, hash browns and any other fried things are on in one of the Shaffer dishes as it makes them lose their ‘crunch’ better if they are under a lamp in a metal serving pan.

I know you’re thinking after all this that I didn’t enjoy my stay, but I did - the hotel is lovely - and the staff is wonderfully professional and polite. And the hotel is Centrally located and at a great price.

Totally confused front of house staff. Check in was painful as these young boys kept handing me off to each other and I was the only one checking in! Bed had a big depression on one side so had to sleep on other side. Left behind my electric toothbrush in the bathroom and it was ‘not found’. Got upgraded because of IHG membership but my colleague said the room was very small. Room was v clean and they left lots of water

Great Luxury Hotel

I have tried many hotels in Riyadh, but this hotel is the most beautiful hotel. It is very clean and modern, with taking care of small details. It has a wide variety of food and four amazing restaurants, European I think it's Italian, Indian, Arabic.. The massage services they have and the sauna and steam are very high quality. It is definitely a luxury hotel that deserve a 5 star in a nice area.

Reception told me when I checked in that I could have a late check out at 4:00 pm and I even called them to confirm before I went to sleep. Then, the next day they called me as asked when I was leaving and that I have to leave by 2 or 3:00pm. Why did they change and why didn't they tell me I had to leave earlier sooner.? This is not fair and it is not professional.

The hotel is very good, very clean, spacious rooms, generous buffet for breakfast, and and a very friendly staff. Level of comfort is very good as well. The location is central however u can not commute on foot. Knowing Riyadh this is typical but for someone who likes to walk this is a little hurdle.

It was my only time yo this hotel. Unfortunately I had an awfull check-in experience. It took me one hour! They kept blaming each other for not finding my booking in their system. Finally a disinterested manager mumbled the word \"we overbooked you\".The rest of the story is average. The food is supposed to be above average.

i can't believe its rated 5 stars

i upgraded to the biggest & most expensive suite, u expect the best service, it was the worst EVER!
#housekeeping:
-3 nights housekeeping only cleaned once after i called few times.
-they only made the bed & it wasn't perfect.
-DIDN'T clean the tables that had baby powder spread on.
-here were some hair in the shower drain,
-sink had some makeup on was not cleaned,
-did not put any soap, shampoo.. etc mentioning that the once were there when we checked in got empty after 2 night with no housekeeping service,
-minibar was not refilled they didn't even put bottles of water.

#guest services:
1-laundry sent 10AM for iron Only promised to be back on 5PM max , i got it @ 9PM after i had to call few times.
2-i asked for a liquid soap to wash my baby milk bottles twice & never got a reply.
3-i asked for diaper disposal they don't have so i asked for normal trash plastic bags for the baby diapers, didn't got it.
4-i called 5 times during the day asking for drinking water from 2PM until 3AM when i screamed cuz my baby was crying for his milk & i have no water to prepare his feed. my baby cry himself to sleep before the water bottle arrive.

\"The Closure\" of that tirreble stay @ 4AM men was looking over our BED from the window cleaning the glass !
1-we never got informed to close the curtains
2-it was so noisy & loud that wake the baby & everyone @ 4 in the morning

i really regret every cent spent on that hotel & would never think of any Movenpic hotel EVER.

Room was very small. Bathroom only had very small bath tub without hand shower and only rain shower which is inconvenient. Would have preferred a normal shower instead of bath tub. No amenities were kept in bathroom and they were on demand which is inconvenient. Location is very central.

Tiny room yet highest prices in town.

Few things:

A- Hotels is located near nothing. So if feel like taking a strole down the road or around the neighborhood, no where to go.
B- if guests want to hang out in pool area for a cup of coffee, guess what, each person in your party must spend a minimum of Saudi Riyals 250.00 EACH.Outrageous. We were party of four and there was no reason to pay One Thousand Riyals just to sit near Swinming pool which no one was using and also there were no guests there getting served any kind of food or drinks either.
C- Security is bare minimum. If your wearing a nice clean Traditional Arabic dress, chances are you won't be scrutinized at entrance and would be ushered in without weapon or body search. Scary.
D- Restaurant food was average with outrageous prices. Good looking cheap chairs in the dining halls of Anardaana & Lebanese Restaurant.
E- Had hard timing finding English speaking personelle.

Everything was fine except reception

Two issues which stemmed from the reception were an issue. The first was I left $200 the first day but on the following day as I was ordering from room service they told that I had to provide cash or a credit card. I then called reception and they informed that I still had about $100. I then called room service again, but again when she checked it was the same issue... So I called reception again and had a go at them and told them to speak to room service, which they did and the matter was resolved. Then as I was doing an early checking out at 8:30am, but my ride wasn't arriving until 9am, so I told the reception that I needed someone to take the luggage and that I would be down shortly. I was relaxing in my room for the final 15 minutes watching tv and all of a sudden the tv turned off and when I tried to turn it back on it said I had checked out. I then gathered my things and went to the reception and asked to speak to someone in charge but upon calling whomever the reception called he told me there was no one available... I preceded to tell him about the 2 issues and said I would write something online, which I will do... Because everything else was fine except those 2 incidents which really ruined the experience... In addition, if anyone has allergies to smells I do not recommend this hotel because even after taking my allergy medication I was still suffering from very strong perfume smell in the lobby.
