On the first day of our arrival, the receptionist expressed his annoyance because we booked through the Expedia app, and accordingly, he chose a crappy room for us in the corner of the corridor. When I tried to object and talk to him about a room change, he denied that there were any vacant rooms, even though I entered and found many reservations still available. He tried to ignore me by taking a call and left me standing in front of the desk as if I was begging him, even though I was there before he took the call and there was no response. I left him and returned to the room the next day. They did not provide the room with daily necessities such as soap and others. It was a bad stay and a bad customer service and i made a mistake in choosing based on the fake pictures of the rooms in the app. . I will never repeat it and I do not recommend it.

Know what room your getting before hand.

Originally they put me in a standard room when I paid for a luxury room. I brought this to their attention and they made up for this by putting me into a room that was a larger suite with a panoramic view. I was only able to use that room 3 days out of the 4 I paid for. They had me move to a standard room again for my 4th day but I once again brought this to their attention and they put me in the original room I had booked. Both rooms were beautiful it just was an inconvenience to have to change multiple times and it made me apprehensive about how they manage their rooms.

Cage like Standard Room

Very disappointed. We booked a standard room with two twin beds. The room was very tiny like a cage unlike the picture on the website. No view. A small window. However, a small TV on the desk.
The hotel service was poor. We asked multiple times for a slipper and was not sent to the room or was not given at the reception desk.
Not recommended if you look for a standard room that should be designed for two people.

I dont recomed this hotel to others,

the room prices are over rated, although we had been upgraded to a corner room, but on check in the bed cover, and sheets were dirty, the towels were verybold, the Aircodetioner was not cooling.

Not all hotel staff speak E. The roof family’s room NOT of the stander of 5 stars hotel , Aircond.is poor and curtains of poor quality.House keepers never mob the floor during my stay more than 2 weeks!
The family room in the basement NOT of the standard of 5 stars hotels
Upon checking out the manager at the reception asked for extra 350 EUR , saying that prices getting higher although I paid for my stay a nonrefundable in advance!
Finally he accepted to settle it with 200EUR

I was there for more than week in room #1508 I had the worst experience in my life, not knowing the room I stayed for a week had bedbugs . I have red spots all over my legs, it has been over a week since I left the hotel my legs still be inchy and uncomfortable
I hope they take care of that problem before having guests in that room.

This was my 3rd time going to this hotel. This last time they canceled our booking an hour before we arrived(as they claimed). We didn’t even arrive late in the evening. It wad only 7:30 pm. I would not trust any booking at that hotel.

It's my 4th time in this hotel in the past 2 years but this time was horrible. My room was dirty and it needed deep cleaning but apparently they are understaffed and i had to ask them 3 times to clean it properly. Towels were smelly, coffee corner was full of stains. The location of this hotel is great and the service used to be great, it's sad to reach this level.

My watch qas stolen, at least lost and it qas presented after 3-4 hours that it was In a trash bin, staff member asked me why i left my watch on the table, however it was ln the table when i was in the room 😳 We gave a shirt to a laundry and it was returned with no 6 buttons, no ironing as a service, food was terrible, i ordered a la carte 2 times and was unsatisfied. Sometimes no consierge to assist, for different issues called several times to reception and was ignored and left with no answer

Their customer service is horrible, from arranging a transport to checking out. As soon as they see your American passport, they will try to scam you.

The night before our flight, they gave us a COVID positive test result and told us that we will have to pay extra as a fee to disinfecting the room. We called a 3rd party and performed the PCR test and the results came back negative.

They were trying to keep us at their hotel to spend more money. When that failed, they tried to add room service charges which we never ordered.

They then tried to help us with our luggage and what not. Why would they let you walk around the hotel with out a mask if you are covid positive?

I confronted them with the new negative results and asked to arrange transportation to the Airport and they refused to do so because of our previous PCR result( which was faked by the hotel). They tried to offer us free drinks/soda/coffee fishing for tips lol... they are pathetic.

I managed to arrange a transport through a different hotel and when the car arrived, Arts staff tried to help us with our luggage in hopes of getting a tip... If someone is truly covid positive why would you want to be near them.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel again. The rooms and bathrooms were nice though I will give them that.

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed it. Rooms are spacious compared to other hotels and the staff is absolutely great. They were always helpful and friendly.

Only thing I’d recommend is not getting a street facing room (at least on the lower levels) if you’re a light sleeper. It gets pretty loud and that was my biggest issue. So stick to a higher floor and you will be okay

Decent location, nice room but the staff was extremely discourteous. The only hotel in the world I have stayed at where the staff actually sold me a discarded carton box that I required for some extra luggage. Late checkout was denied as was told that it was not the duty of the hotel provide duct tape to secure the carton.

The hotel is in a walking distance from Nisantasi area and is kind of central to most of the tourist areas and famous malls. The staff are friendly, Erhan Bay in Reception and also Serdar in the lobby were very helpful. The breakfast is great. They have serious housekeeping issues in terms of cleaning. Also the fabric of the chair in our room was so dirty. The pool water could be warmer.

Nice hotel in a very exceptional location

The hotel is very nice, the reception staff and the check-in process is efficient and fast. The rooms are clean. What make this hotel exceptional is the location, you can access most of the important places in Istanbul in very short travel time and lots of places by foot.

Noisy hotel with a misleading star rating

The room was very small and extremely noisy. Breakfast: food and service was very poor. No free One had to be careful about prices they charge for transport from and to airport or asking for a taxi service from hotel. More than twice as much as making your own arrangements. The star rating for this hotel is misleading.

Have stayed at hotels with better guest service but maybe that’s just Istanbul ? Concierge ordered a cab for us and waited under his umbrella by the cab for us to walk out in the rain ... different to say the least !

The front desk was very rude, ill mannered and arrogant. We were over charged upon check-in and our iniquiries and requests via email were not met. I was very dissappointed with the lack of profssionaisim among the staff and the outdated furniture. Also, the cleaness of the room and the bathroom were terrible! I would rate this hotel as a 3-star MAX! Not worth the money. Breakfast was okay. The only positive thing is the location. I would never come back again

Pleasant check-in and check-out. Everything was in order, but lacked the \"wow\" factor that we saw in the pictures.

Decent breakfast with pretty much similar food everyday. We had to pour our own tea and coffee, staffs were not trained to be of service. But then again, it's Turkish culture.

Internet can be disappointing at times. Swimming pool was small and cold located in the basement. Only 4 chairs were available with lots of echo. Really had no desire to swim, a stark contrast to the pictures uploaded. Gym was small, and the hotel spa was desperate to get guests in, as it rang our room to do sales pitch.

If you are considering a quality 4 or 5 star hotel, look elsewhere. Arts Hotel is good for a 3-star experience.

The hotel location is fantastic, the staff are friendly, the hotel condition is perfect, room condition was perfect too.
I found the information on the Hotels.com was misleading though and the hotel management were not professional enough to admit it, i booked the Luxury corner room, which supposed to be as indicated CLEARLEY sea view (if not both on each corner sea and city), to realize that the hotel does not overlook any sea (you can see it from far if you were on the roof perhaps)
The room allocated to me was on the 4th floor and has city view (honestly i have on each side of my corner room huge buildings so i can’t see anything except neighbors who can clearly see me) and the hotel claims that the view is not guaranteed while hotels.com stated its sea view,
Regardless, the hotel does not have any sea view, the higher floor can spot the sea perhaps.
Room was extremely uncomfortable due to sunlight that access from everywhere, and the noisy traffic from the traffic light just opposite to the hotel.
I complained but nothing happened and they ruin my stay and i lost my money for the so called special room

I had wonderful time in Istanbul with so many tourist attractions. I advice if in istanbul check out Tin Tin tour company in Takseem. Very cheap prices and reliable for all attractions.

Arts Hotel came short of expectation

I reserved a room with a bosphorus view, when I checked in I was given a room with a city view.
I phoned the hotel twice before I travel to let them know of my arrival time, I was put on hold with no coming back
At least one of the front desk people lacked the courtesy of respecting customers.
I reserved four nights initially, but cancelled the next day and moved to another hotel.

Nice city hotel with free cellphone for your stay

We really enjoyed our stay in the Arts Hotel over New Years 2017. The hotel staff was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also quite good (perhaps with the exception of the coffee and tea). As an extra bonus, the hotel offered a free cellphone with free internet and free local calls and international calls to a few countries (e.g., US, Germany, Saudi Arabia). The Spa was also nice. Overall we would recommend it.

Beautiful, clean hotel in the center of the city

The hotel is very nice, quiet, although on the main street close to Taksim Square. The rooms are spacious and very clean, staff are friendly. The breakfast is good and freshly cooked. The hotel has a parking which is a plus in the center of IStanbul.
