The hotel has a nice lakeside setting and the airport shuttle service was convenient and appreciated. However, the property feels older and could benefit from updates and general refreshment. There were also many lake flies during our stay, which made the experience less comfortable. We requested a late checkout and, although the manager offered a reduced rate, we still had to pay $50 for a 3:00 pm departure. Overall, it was an average stay with some positives, but there is room for improvement.

This hotel was super cute. They picked us up from the airport and even came early since our flight arrived over an hour early. The property is a bit dated but still comfortable. We walked around safely from the property and appreciated how close to the mall they were for quick access to a ATM. The staff is super nice however our safe was locked when we arrived and we called 3 separate times over the course of 4 hours and no one ever unlocked it. That was super frustrating since we had to carry our valuables everywhere cause no one ever unlocked it. The other downside is it says airport transportation is included however it must mean only one way because we had to pay $15 to be taken to the airport which isn’t a problem but isn’t clearly stated. This is a great stay for one night

Great little hotel!

This is a beautiful little getway by Lake Victoria. The staff is kind and welcoming and the rooms are nice. You just need to be mentally and physically prepared for no AC. They do provide a fan though and a refrigerator to keep your complementary waters cool.

Given that the hotel didn’t have many guests, I would think they could have put me in a better room than the view of the parking lot. Their rate is much higher than the hotel next door, which I have stayed at several times. For a quick overnight, I will likely pick another option and save money.

Absolutely a little gem of a hotel in Entebbe. It sits 40 meters from the shores of lake Victoria with a restaurant literally kissing the water. The atmosphere here is warm friendly and welcoming with a staff that loves their job.
The food is delicious and it’s only 15 minutes by car to the airport.
Can highly recommend this hotel

This was a very nice property with Lake Victoria access. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The shuttle driver was there to pick me up at the airport even at a very late hour. My room was ready and waiting. I would stay here again.

After staying one night, I had to stay again for a couple of more nights at the end of the trip. The service and the accommodations were great. It was also close to a mall and a craft market. They also include an airport shuttle which is very convenient.

The staff was so nice and friendly! The breakfast had lots of variety. It is walkable to a mall and also right next to the lake with many restaurants and bars to visit. We also went for a run and saw the botanical garden and zoo close by. We will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

I stayed 2 different nights during my vacation. Both stays were great. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable and each room has air conditioning. the food was very good. Breakfast is buffet with eggs to order. I would definately stay here again. It is only 15-20 min. from the airport.

The staff at 2 Friends Beach Hotel are exceptionally friendly and very professional from the booking until check-out. The driver even waited for 3 hours because my flight was delayed to pick me up from the airport. My questions were answered immediately and any concerns or complaints are handled promptly.

I stayed for 2 nights in a Pool/Lake View Room which was very clean, had a comfortable double bed, shower with hot running water, tv, spacious wardrobe with hangers, towels, mini fridge, water, coffee, tea, sugar, water boiler, cups and glasses. There was also a hair dryer, which I found just perfect for my hair and had not expected this little detail.

Restaurants are nearby and even delicious snacks and drinks are served right at the hotel. I also loved the breakfast which had all you can think of from juice to pancakes and fruits, coffee, bread and tea. The pool is spacious enough to do a little bit of swimming and refreshing on a hot day. The area is quiet and you can hear the waves break at the shore of Lake Victora. Overall this made me relax and enjoy my stay very much. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and well treated at this place. I can highly recommend 2 Friends Beach Hotel and will likely come back again on my future visits to Uganda.

I have stayed at this hotel three times over the past few years. I enjoy the quality of service on the property and the peaceful atmosphere of the grounds.
In previous years I was provide free pickup service and free transportation back to the airport following checkout. This time I was charged for the return trip which was a surprise to me. It would be good if there is a change in policy for tourists to be informed in advance. Perhaps adding this to the website and companion apps would avoid any surprises in the future.
All in all, I had a good experience at this hotel and will return again when I need a rest stop between flights.

The hotel name definitely reflects its ethos!! Great friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is traditional and rustic. It’s an ideal spot to relax after a long flight. The restaurant opposite serves fabulous food at a good price. There’s a decent breakfast to start your day and an area by a small pool to chillax. We couldn’t fault this hotel. A great 2 night stay, thank you 🙏

The staff here were wonderful! Greeted me at the airport for my arrival, at a late hour, and kindly stopped at an ATM machine for me on the way to the hotel. Accommodations were clean and comfortable, and a hot breakfast served. My stay was only about 8 hours, but I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

This property is very well managed. I can't say enough about how friendly the employees were. The setting in front of Victoria Lake is beautiful including the beach nar they have. Small but inviting pool and the food was always delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

I have always enjoyed my stays at 2 Friends Beach Resort. The bathrooms are a little run down and no AC after long travel is a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, it is a cute little place at a reasonable price with a little restaurant right on the lake and a cute little pool. The staff is great as well.

I had the pleasure of staying at 2 Friends hotel twice. As such I got to experience both the standard room and the upgraded room with AC and a terrace. Both were great- the standard was very spacious and the upgraded room was enjoyable with a nice view. Over everything else the people made the stay especially nice. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond - before my stay when I had a few questions about storing a bag and logistics as well as during the stay. I could recommend 2 Friends to my friends and family.

Only two brief one-night stays linking two elements of a holiday. Welcoming and friendly. First room a bit small but lovely room with balcony for second visit. Not far from airport and free transfers. Free drink on arrival which is a very nice touch. Short walk to local shopping mall.
Only problem I had was that for some reason I couldn't access my emails on either occasion though I had wifi and could access the internet . Had no such issues elsewhere, so it's a mystery!

2Friends is a great option for staying in Entebbe. Located in a quiet neighbourhood across the street from Lake Victoria, I enjoyed the laid back reception bar as well as the 2Friends Beach Bar on the water. The room was comfortable and clean with a tv and mosquito net. It is approx. 10 mins from the airport and a short walk to Victoria Mall and the Botanical Gardens. Eat at the Beach Bar (Tilapia fillet!), the local Thai resto or Cafe Java in the mall. Special mention to Eve, my server at breakfast and at the reception/pool bar.

2 Friends Entebbe Beach Hotel was easily our favourite accommodation during our trip in Uganda. Not only was the hotel clean, well-located, and comfortable to guest liking, but the staff was truly what set this place apart from the rest. Right away upon arrival, we were greeted with big smiles and a warm welcome. We were offered a welcome beverage and promptly shown our beautiful rooms. The hotel is located right by the beach, which offers a bar and restaurant. It was perfect. During my stay I made a last-minute decision to visit the Entebbe Zoo, in which a TB Test was required for one of the programs I wanted to partake (playing with chimpanzees). Unfortunately I did not have the TB Test and so at 10:00pm, one of the managers/owner, Conrad, accompanied me to the nearby hospital to acquire the test though he was already off work, and made sure I was there and back safe. The hotel staff also made many calls for me to the zoo as they saw how much I wanted to do the Chimpanzee Program at the Zoo. No matter the time of day, the staff was always very happy and welcoming. It really made our stay here amazing. We had a TV in our room with many English channels, and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was very positive. I highly, highly recommend! If I ever return to Entebbe, I will make sure to visit 2 Friends again!

I stayed her for 2 nights at the beginning or an organised safari trip and 2 nights at the end. There was a very efficient airport shuttle bus on arrival and departure - which was great. I was made to feel very welcome on arrival by being given a welcome drink of my choice. On the day of departure I was able to leave my bags until I needed to get to the airport.
My room on both occasions were very comfortable, with a lovely ensuite bathrooms. The rooms were tastefully and comfortably decorated.

I am very sensitive to noise and the noise from neighbouring hotels interrupted my sleep at night but was solved by the use of ear plugs (so take some with you).

But.... best of all, and the thing I will treasure and that would make me come back, are the very warm welcoming staff. For me 2Friends was like a home from home. The staff were naturally warm and appeared genuinely interested in talking and listening to what their customers wanted - always greeting me with a big beaming smile. The experience was more like having a lovely family around me. Special mention to Jacqui, Carol and Eve - who I met prior to going on my safari .... a big hug and thank you to them for making my stay so special. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Paradise in the heart of Entebbe

My husband and I enjoyed two nights in a lake front room. It was perfection! I’ve passed by this hotel for years and can’t believe what we’ve been missing out on! The room was immaculate, the food was delicious, the service was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and you definitely felt safe. My only criticism is the spa, it’s not bad for the price but the it’s not exactly luxurious but other than that the place was paradise.

Entebbe... Our last days

We really enjoyed our stay with the small pool so inviting, the non-swimming beach across the street (wonderful place to relax, eat and enjoy the scenery), the buffet breakfast and the friendly staff. Our room was superb with the balcony overlooking the lake and the pool. Since we were staying there on our last few days in Uganda it was a great place to chill. Our flight was around midnight, but they let us use their facilities until time for the 8:30 pm shuttle to the airport. They even offered us a room to shower in!

A great position on the lakeside, lovely welcoming staff and a good restaurant right on the beach. An excellent choice either on arrival in Uganda or prior to a flight home. Near to Botanical gardens, and lots of bird life to see and hear. The dawn chorus is incredible. A family of monkeys also visited. Fun to see nut keep your windows closed!
