The Roosevelt Grand Dakota is tired and needs a deep clean along with refreshed decorations. The breakfast was OK and staff was friendly. If you are given a room facing the pool be prepared for it to be dark and noisy when guests are enjoying the pool. Our bathtub had quite a bit of mold along the edge and the bathroom sink drained very slowly.

The whole place is in desperate need of an update. Everything is old dated and suitable for a lifestyle in the 70’s (e.g no plug sockets next to the bed). It was so old that it felt dirty but it is hard to vouch truly for its cleanliness. The gym is virtually unusable with broken equipment and a weight set which is a random collection 6-8 individual dumbbell's. Restaurant is a very hot sports bar with gambling section.

Convenient because it is pet friendly and has end destination EV chargers. Bed was comfortable and air con worked.

My 83 year old mother stayed there. Each day I had to go to desk to ask for towels. Finally I carried the towels and her trash to front desk. They tried to tell me I hadn't requested it BUT I did! Then they said put the clean room on door! I did every day. I day a cleaning lady doing room across. I asked her if she'd take trash out and pointed to the door asking. She said yes. We left for morning came back nothing changed still dirty towels and trash. Last year when mom stayed there the staff was great! This time it was lausy!

The staff were friendly and very helpful when we needed more lighting in our room due to it being very dim.
As far as the condition of the hotel it was very dated and needed a lot of attention. The carpet in the room had a long unraveled section and there was rust on the shower head. The spaciousness of the hotel was done for conferences about 30 years ago, but is definitely showing its age and needs refurbishing.

We checked in July 8 went to the room was there for maybe 10-15 minutes. The room looked nothing like the Expedia photo. The bed was old and looked terrible and I have a bad back, room very old paint peeling, dirty, sink in bathroom did not want to drain, light at the desk did not work. This property should be considered condemned! Took our suit cases and back to front desk to cancel! Lady at front desk cancelled the one night and told us the following night would be cancelled automatically! We never stayed there! Later I got a message she cancelled one night and charged over $200 for the next night. We went back to hotel to talk to her, but she was very rude and all over the place said to call Expedia so we did, but Expedia said they tried to call her and she never answered the phone as she never answered when I tried to call her twice either.
Expedia then said they emailed her that she was the one who charged me not them so need to take care of it at the hotel. She was very nasty and told us to leave or she was going to call the police! Never been treated so bad!!

This is a dated and unkempt hotel. Though the staff are friendly and trying their best, it is still evident this needs a rehab. The sheets/blankets/lamp shades are beat up, the furniture needs to be replaced or a steam clean as a minimum and the ACs are functional but need new filters/cleaning. Great location and proximity to a lot, but be prepared to be underwhelmed. Even the lighting in the rooms screams “sad”.

Hotel is dingy, smelled and needs to be updated. Also would be nice if breakfast was until 10 am. We didn’t eat breakfast 1 day because we didn’t want to get up at 8:30 to get down to breakfast before 9 am. They also only have tiny styrofoam cups for coffee. Front desk staff wasn’t friendly either. TV volume was limited and it was hard to hear.

The hotel was on the older side could use some TLC, I can tell it was grand in its younger days. It definitely could have used more lighting in the room. Compared to newer hotels the bathroom was small. The bed was comfortable and the food in the bar/restaurant was good. One issue I didn't care for was during the free breakfast which was ok, but the lady doing the breakfast was touching all the pastries with her bare hands when moving them from one platter to the next.

The near 5 star rating surprised me once we were checked in. The carpet is not only filthy, it's loose, creased and a definite tripping hazard. A plastic knife and fork laid outside a room on the way to ours, for our entire stay. The entire place has a musty smell to it. The mattress was exposed due to ill fitting sheets and mattress pad.
It wasn't the worst place I've stayed, but isn't deserving of a rating over 3 stars at best.

Check-in was horrible. No one at the desk area ever. Always had to call out to get help. Room was not clean. Cob webs in bathroom and flimsy small towels. Sheets were threadbare and actually shredding. My feet got caught up in them. Food was awful in the restaurant. One bartender for all the tables and bar. Would never stay there again.
We were with another couple on the same booking and they put us on different floors! Awful experience.

However, we asked for new towels and were told to go get our own.
We got a room with two queens and they were double beds, not queens. Asked for a rollaway and charge would have been 45.00 a night. The maintenance man was super kind and nice. He is the only staff we actually interacted with other than on the phone.

Decent but needs work. The pool in the hot tub looked dirty, half outlets in our room didn’t work, the carpet in the hallways is rolling up old and dirty, hallway fences are taped over looks like for painting, but then never removed. It appears effort is being made, free breakfast was lackluster, cereal, but no milk very average of scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, and mini donuts, some yogurt. at one point in the hotel‘s life it appeared. It was very vibrant and grand. Now it just needs work.

NOT up to Best Western standards! The owner definitely doesn’t care about this property.

Hot tub not clean, but very strong with chlorine (!); carpet worn out and several tripping hazards, hallway air vents were mysteriously all sealed off with tape; breakfast definitely poorer than other continental hotel breakfast; bathroom sink not draining properly, hair dryer dangerously broken, microwave tripped the breaker in the room (concerned about the electrical), shoddy work on repairs; staff not in uniform (not sure who was actually staff) and — la pièce de résistance — the door handle to our room literally fell off in my hand.

The only redeeming part was the very comfortable Serta Perfect Sleeper beds (which were great).

This has been one of the grossest hotels I have ever stayed at! The hot tub was green. Jets barley worked and looked slimmy. The pool had a green sludge along the side of the pool, no towles and were expected to use towles from our room but didnt even have enough towles for everyone staying. Carpets dirty stained and taped down. Smelt like sewage when walking down the hall. The breakfast was not even worth it. And when checking out the lady already had attitude to who ever she was talking to and slammed the phone down. Phone rang again and rolled her eyes. I had asked if I could put my rewards on because I forgot and got told no. Which ok my fault but I have always been asked if I had a rewards number at every best western except for this one! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The property was in terrible condition. The pillows and linens were old. The elevator was out of service for our entire visit. The heater was old and LOUD. It would kick on multiple times a night and wake me up. We barely had hot water to take a shower. The water pressure was terrible. I ended up going to the rec center to take a shower because of the water issue. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. They had Captain Crunch and warm milk. The coffee tasted like tar. I brought my concerns to the front desk, but nothing was done. They said since I booked through a 3rd party, there wasn't anything they could do. I was VERY disappointed, and I will not be returning.

De-ice the parking lot or at least around the doors. If you list amenities on the rooms and hotel add, please have them available for guests to use. Everything was ok at best. More a or less an overall bummer. There was a level of dinginess to just about everything inside and around the property.
Staff seemed annoyed when we requested a room that wasn’t directly across from the hot tub in pool area. Gave us a third floor room away from the pool quite begrudgingly.
Water never got hot in sink or shower, shower/tub has a grey tone when it seemed like it should be white, carpeting in nearly all public spaces was buckled or taped down at seems, rickety luggage carts, dark and dank breakfast area which closes at 9am (seems early for a hotel catering to a variety of guests), parking lot and grass areas littered with trash, lobby door trash was overflowing with trash Sunday. Won’t stay here again.
