Great stay! Exceptionally clean, with good lighting and outlets. Great shower & towels. Full size fridge, but zero plates, etc. Very comfortable! No breakfast but an option to order “ breakfast in bed,” which I didn’t explore as I’d brought my own cereal, fruit, etc.

Some areas of my room could use an upgrade. Sink is cracked. Room is smaller than other rooms I’ve seen. Carpet needs replaced or shampooed to fluff it up. Pretty packed down.
I love the My Place hotels. I was on a month long trip cross country and if I knew about My Place from the beginning it would have saved me a lot of money and bad experiences. My Place does a good job cleaning. I love the laundry room.
The beds and pillows are very comfortable.

1-star review

Hotel was outdated, musky, smelly and not the cleanest. Our room was dirty when we checked in, and the rest of the hotel didn't feel well-maintained either.

Partway through our stay, we got a message accusing our dog of disturbing other guests. We tried to call the front desk five separate times to sort it out, and no one picked up. When we finally reached someone, they were rude about the situation instead of helpful. We travel full time and have NEVER had an issue with our dog until this hotel. Not to mention when we walked in there was no barking or noise at all.

We ended up having to leave and book a new hotel for both nights out of pocket. We requested a refund for the original stay given the state of the room and the lack of any real customer service or at least the night/day we will not even be there. We were told a manager would call us back — that call never came, and we were never refunded. In total, we lost $800 between the original booking. Not to mention the cost of booking a new room for two nights. Thank goodness for Townplace Suites across the street. That hotel was 1000% better, room, staff and cleanliness.

Between the cleanliness issues, the unprofessional treatment over the phone, and being ignored after asking for a resolution, I can't recommend this hotel. If you're traveling with a pet, be aware they may make assumptions rather than communicate directly with you.

Traveling for business event, due to weather the event was cancelled at Dickinson and scheduled for Mandan. Yes, the news was surprising to me as I am a freelance vendor on the tour. I was not aware of the change in schedule although I soon found out the manager was. She was more than happy to process my card for the night. Yes, cancellation at this point was at the grace of the company. They declined. I could have used their help in crediting a night in Jamestown at their brand, but franchises think small time. I tavel 6 months of the year, have never tried their brand, mostly due to not being in their market too much in the Swst. Jamestown does have a My Place Hotel. Credit from another location could have been a solution, albeit solely my problem. Guess I will never know if My Place might be my place next year when our tour returns.

I had a great stay overall. The staff was friendly and helpful, check-in was quick and easy, and there was plenty of convenient parking. The hotel was clean, modern, and felt well maintained.
One thing to note is that breakfast was not included with my stay. I may have misunderstood that when booking, but the hotel does offer breakfast if you order it the day before. If you’re arriving late, keep in mind that you may miss the opportunity to place your breakfast order for the next morning.

Overall, I would stay here again and appreciated the clean accommodations and excellent service.

The idea is reasonable...fridge and cooking surface in your room. The Dickinson location is very friendly, clean, quiet, and well priced. But what is the point of the cooker if there are no pans, etc. It's an empty kitchen. The fridge was useful, but it seems a waste of energy to have an empty fridge running all the time.
Would I stay again, probably if price was the reason. It was a last minute reservation or we would have pre booked elsewhere for the same price.

We chose the hotel because it has a kitchen. That being said there were no pots and pans, utensils or plates. We had planned on burgers so we were able to use the barbecue but it was filthy and had to be cleaned before use. The staff was very helpful and was able to give us some paper plates and plastic utensils.

The place was fairly clean, which is why I generously gave it an OK rating. However, the room we were in was somewhat less than Spartan with the smallest bed we’ve ever seen in a hotel room, not even a queen bed, but a double. The card reader didn’t work when I was checking in. No breakfast, unlike every other place in Dickinson. Twice the price of a red roof Inn, so not a bargain. Even though it was clean, it was a disappointment

Was hesitant about booking, price was much lower than other hotels in the area.( Usually cheaper doesn't mean as good) but was very happy with the cleanliness of the room. Room had all the amenities including a full refrigerator. Only bad thing was the outside exit would not open with key card and no continental breakfast. Would stay again!

Staff was great. However, we have never encountered the “Breakfast in Bed” concept where you cook your own (frozen biscuits and/or burritos) in the room. Even the fruit and cereal has to be preordered and prepaid the night before. Folks may like this concept but we prefer even a basic, simple continental breakfast that’s included in the price.
Thank you for listening!

We didn’t realize this was a short stay hotel (full fridge with ice maker, 2 burner stove and microwave) when we booked but didn’t have any problems with what seemed like oil workers making it their temporary home. One guy kept his door open to the hallway but ours was sound proof enough that you wouldn’t know it unless you were in the hall.

The desk staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and the room clean. We did turn off the ice maker before bed as the noise of it dropping ice in the empty bin was pretty loud.

Would stay there again.

Very comfy bed. It seemed in an odd location, but was easy to find. One of the lights didn’t work, but maintenance came to fix it. Had a full- size fridge, etc. for extended stays. Needed more light. Pleased with our stay and the helpful staff.

Passing through.

Everything was fine. Not much of a pet area and there was carpet in the room, but it all worked out. Was nice to have ice maker in our room.

Lots of options nearby for dining and shopping. Very clean with nice amenities. Fairly quiet except for a few minutes of running feet on floor above us. Checkin was lacking in service and the reservation was incorrect with additional room booked that I didn’t ask for. Clerk said it was my problem.

This was my first experience with a MyPlace, and it was a good one. There was plenty of parking. The building is in good condition and in a decent part of town. As a solo traveler, I felt safe staying there. The inside of the building was clean and well maintained. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and quiet. Only time I heard any of the other guests was in the hallway. It was also very nice to have a full sized fridge. Overall very good experience and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Dickinson, ND.

Property was quiet and clean, staff were polite and responsive, good coffee 24/7, no breakfast included; extra cost \"breakfast in bed\" option didn't work for us

Couldn't ask for more

Our stay at the Dickinson MY PLACE, though brief, was wonderful. Everything in our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathtub and shower were sparkling clean, and the office staff was friendly. Couldn't ask for more. This was our first stay at a MY PLACE hotel and hopefully, not our last.

Solid place, not the Ritz, not Motel 6 either

Hotel served it's purpose. Room was good, it was nice to have a full size fridge and microwave. No gym, no breakfast so just be aware. Room was a bit noisy by the parking lot but nothing too bad.

I really like this place. My only complaint was that we had spilled a little tiny bit of water on the floor in the kitchen area and when I wiped it up, the paper towel was pretty much black. It wasn’t like that in the bathroom just the entry area where the kitchen is. Otherwise, the rest of the room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. it’s a great alternative to an Airbnb because you have a full refrigerator and you have a two burner stove and you have a microwave and a full-size coffee maker. The one thing you have to keep in mind if you wanna stay at a place like this instead of an Airbnb is that you will not have the utensils or pots and pans or dishes that you need you would have to bring those with you. Which really wouldn’t be a big deal to bring a bunch of paper plates and things and a few utensils. I think it’s a clever set up. I would definitely stay again. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and quick at getting us set up. They were friendly and knowledgeable.

Check in was great. Front desk employee was super friendly and competent. Room was small, but had kitchenette. While a bit dated, the furnishings were adequate and most importantly, bed was nice and comfortable, and room was very clean. Carpet looked a bit old, worn but it was brown and upon close inspection was pretty decent. No sit down breakfast, you could order a few things?? Didn’t quite get that part, and we didn’t use that service. Overall great value for the money.

This was a nice place for a night. For an extended stay I would have expected them to have dishes and cookware, but you have to buy that stuff from the front desk. Fortunately I was camping so I had some stuff to use of my own. They seemed short staffed when I was there, took awhile for someone to get to the desk, but she was very apologetic and kind.

Safe, and I would stay there again.

Upon arriving, the front desk lady..sorry don’t remember her name, was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. When I went into the room, couldn’t get AC to work, and she helped me out.. the only complaint I have, is the AC was on the fritz and needed to be replaced or fixed.

Great atmosphere, clean and peaceful... friendly staff, but the air conditioner is regulated by them; you can't decide about the temperature or the time, at least not whether you want to turn it off.
