The pool, the business center, the computer, the ice machine, the vending machines were all out of order due to \"maintenance\". The sink in the kitchen of my room had no plumbing connected underneath, this must have been a known issue because the water was turned off. The man at the front desk was so difficult to understand and gave me a hard time checking in. The hot water in the shower only lasted about 6 min before running cold. The cable only had a handful of channels.

The pool is closed. The rooms are dated and not clean. Shower had black spots that were easily washed off. Tv colour wasn’t working. The bathrooms in the lobby are not working. Breakfast was not edible. Juice machine not working. I would never return.

Desk attendant was rude and tried to charge an enormous security deposit that wasn’t listed on this site. Pool closed. Ice machine didn’t work. WiFi didn’t work. Towel rack was broken. There were blood laden spit stains in the sink and stains in the shower. The carpet was sticky. The chain lock on the door was too short to actually work. Dump.

This is an older hotel, can’t expect much. I’ve stayed here a few times. The incidental fee is $100. The rooms are spacious however the beds are very firm. Never had an issue with the showers. The pillows are very soft and the AC is cold.

It's a roadside motel, so if you're expecting pristine and beautiful, this is not the stay for you. Rooms looked clean (couch had a small stain or two), highway is hardly audible and check in was fine, though make sure you've got the right card you booked with. Expedia didn't have the reservation in my name, but that was sorted with the reservation number.

Can't speak on the breakfast as I didn't try it.

This hotel is in a state of disrepair and I could not stay in the room I was offered. I requested another room and was denied. My security concerns were brushed off as was the fact that I killed two bugs in the room upon entering, one which was likely a roach that came out from under the mini fridge. There were dirty smears on the television screen and on the mirror. The bathroom was unclean and there was the presence of mold. The radiator was coming away from the wall, with dirt around it. There were marks on the door and frame where it had been previously pried and you could see daylight in the gap left behind, even with the door closed. There was no security chain and the door did not latch well. I have travelled extensively and I would not have felt comfortable leaving any valuables unattended in the room. When I asked why the room did not correspond to the photos, I was told that it was Wyndham’s responsibility and not that of the hotel. This hotel is unsafe and unclean. Beware.

I always take negative reviews with a grain of salt; believe me, there is no grain of salt here.

We checked in around 11:15 pm, go to our room to find the door propped open - Red flag #1. Check the room quickly - doesn’t seem the best appointed room but - it’s a Super 8 and it’s just for 1 night, right? WRONG. We go get our stuff from the car and stop to grab a snack from the vending machine. The front desk person comes by and says the machine doesn’t work - but we had already gotten a granola bar out of it. We show him and he says sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t - Red flag #2. Then the keycard doesn’t work. I return to the front desk to get it fixed. I get back to the room and husband is standing outside as his keycard isn’t working either. Husband goes to front desk and guy comes up and proceeds to tell us that the keycards won’t work and we’ll have to come get him each time we need to get into our room! Red flag #3. We hesitantly try to get settled in the room. Husband pulls covers back on the bed and the sheets are stained horribly. Red flag #4. I freak out and husband asks if I want to leave. As there are literally no hotels with availability on the area (I checked), I say we need to stay. Husband goes to get new sheets and when we take dirty ones off, the mattress pad and mattress look like someone was murdered on them. Fridge filthy and heater smelled like burnt rubber too. We left and drove home 3 hours. Working on refund thru Expedia. Do not stay here!

No one was at the desk when we arrived. There was a hand written note to call a number. The key was suppose to open an outside door. It did not. The second key didnt work either. The first room we were given smelled like cigarette smoke. We were given a second room, no smoke smell, but the door did not lock when it was shut. There were cobwebs on the lamps. There was soap scum on the fixtures in the shower. The metal trim and radiators were rusty. The pullows were flat and the pillow cases had holes in them. In general, the place is in disrepair.

Staff was completely unavailable for check in. I waited 15 minutes for someone to show up. When he did, he was completely disheveled and came from some room at the other end of the hotel that is for ‘staff.’ No idea what they were doing in there. The rooms were ok, but the hallway and stairway was filthy. The hotel was incredibly hot in the common areas- almost like the heat was on. It was August. The WiFi was not existent in the rooms, and regular cell service is spotty on the outskirts of Plattsburgh. Just a very unpleasant stay overall.

There was what we assumed to be an (unkempt) employee smoking outside the side entrance nearly the entire time we were there. The juice dispensers did not work at breakfast and the orange juice that was sitting out in a container was warm. Every member of the staff was lethargic and totally disinterested in everything.

If you can afford to stay elsewhere, you should. The location is convenient and the price is low. We are not hotel snobs at all, but this was one of the grossest hotels we have ever stayed in. The sheets were cleaned, and we were grateful for that. But everything else was dirty, gritty, moldy, and stained. I did not want to sit on the couch or touch anything made of fabric. Much of the shower curtain was moldy - although we were thankful for the curved rod that kept it from touching us. The tub had deep dirt stains and grime around the drain, such that we showered quickly so our feet would not soak in the stopped up water. The towels were (hopefully) clean but all very stained. There was dirt, grime and grit in corners of the room, in the handle of the mini fridge, in the corners around the sink. The carpets were full of stains. Just stay somewhere else.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. When we arrived they have you sign something saying you were made aware the pool was closed. I booked it for the pool so the kids had something to do. Front desk said it would be open that day or the next. It never opened nor do I believe it was planned to open. However, once seeing how dirty and in disrepair everything was I doubt I would've let my kids in it. There were some things for breakfast but we didn't eat anything given how unclean everything was. We took some milk and orange juice. My son said the orange juice was sour. The juice machine and water machine didn't work. The vending machine with water didn't work. We went to Stewart's to buy water to brush our teeth with and drink because there was no clean water available. A bug came up out of the sink. The shower water smelled terrible. The wallpaper was coming down like there had been a leak. There was a large bee inside, so unsure where the nest is. Carpet was stained. There were black flakes on the sheets. We honestly debated just leaving and losing money. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here ever. I can't believe Expedia even works with them

It was a decent hotel. It was a nice quiet area, the beds were comfortable, the staff was pleasant. Also the prices were very fair also a nice walk to Plattsburgh beach which is not far.
The hotel can improve on the quality of the breakfast. There was not a lot of healthy food available such as fruits, and the selection was not a variety. The pool was ice cold there was no heat in the pool. For those who do like to swim I would suggest management to take the time and heat the pool to a decent temperature. I was out for the day and when I arrived back during the evening my room was not clean.
If you are looking just for a quiet place just to sleep and if you are not picky about food selection, then I think this place would be good for that type of stay. I feel the hotel would suitable for sure it totally depends on one’s needs at the stay. This place would work for some as well as not for others.

There have been dead flies in the bathroom lamp, the tables in the breakfast room were dirty, such as the floor in the hallway. The stick for the curtain lay on the floor, breakfast was extremely poor. The man at the front desk was very unfriendly, the man in the breakfast room wore dirty clothes. The only positive thing: the mattresses have been good.

Filthy, smelled,mold in the bathroom, ripped carpet, chair was so worn out looked to be older than the motel, service was horrible, refused to get us clean washcloth and towell after trying to find someone from morning until 2 in the afternoon,and could never find someone at the desk for help even after a good 10 trips. Had to leave at 2pm for a weddingsi no clean towells. When we got back still couldnt get someone to get me a washcloth. Refused and said i had to wait till morning.... so never got clean towells for our 3 days there.Rude people that wouldnt bend for anything or give you the time of day. I could go on and on. We requested a king bed and after check in found it was a queen and man said he was too busy to help. Once he told me he was too busy to talk to me. Who does that???? Had our hands full and got to dooe to go to our room and the key wouldnt work. Went to the desk ... no one there. Again got back from wedding and key wouldnt work and had to walk around the building to the office. Parking lot all broken up as was concrete walk way... unsafe !!!! Never stayed at such a terrible place and we travel all the time. Not worth the $350 or so we spent ...

Certain things about the motel were bothersome. The pool although claiming to be heated, was not. There was no remote control for tv in room and had to go ask for one. Wanted to leave our car parked there for two nights while we were on a bike trip and staying before and after at the motel. We could only do that for a charge of $25 a night! So we parked at the airport where it is only $10 a day.

Not only were the staff rude but the room was dirty. The sheets were not washed they had visible dirt there was no TV remote. The couch was full of stains there was blood on the wall and light shade. There were only 3 towels and we had 5 adults. When I asked for more he gave me a hard time saying I already had 3. I told him we all wanted to shower and needed towels. He said he had none. We also reserved a rollaway bed prior to our visit but told us they had none after I paid extra to have it.

A dump. Shower head leaked... sprayed up to the ceiling.TV could not be plugged in...too far from outlet. No remote. No plastic cups. No tissues. Hallway wreaked of cigarette smoke. We were given a second floor room with no elevator. When we finally got to the room, our card key didn’t work. When we went to check in there was no one at the front desk and it took forever for someone to come. They also had no air conditioning on in the hotel so it was very hot. The manager was not that friendly and he had to run my credit card twice because he couldn’t figure it out

The Gentleman at the desk when we checked in was very friendly and accommodating. We requested a late check in and he was very good about it. The hotel has a smell and the room was quite dirty. The bathroom door knob had blood on it (I have a picture). This place is fine for a short overnight stay.

The wallpaper was falling off the whole place smelled like mold you couldn’t use the ice machine because it hasn’t been cleaned out. July 8, 2024 outside is filthy, clean the glass on the entrance door, Summer in the Lake City, $ was decent but not a great value for what it is. Comfortable bed , TV worked, It was hot weather and the air conditioning was good, The door to my room would not fully close enough to lock on its own. !
