I upgraded to a “deluxe” non smoking room. Ny room stank like stale ashtrays.

The person in the room beside fought with his partner screaming until 3am fell asleep and starting right back at 6am.

Air conditioning wasn’t working. I was dying around 1am. Front desk asked me to bring the console from the wall he changed the batteries and it still didn’t work.

With the heat and the stink the room was unbearable. We were so mad that we picked it. I’ve been going to Plattsburgh for 30 years. I don’t expect 5 start. But I almost wanted to leave.

On check out front desk person didnt want to come. Said to drop the keys. Then pretty much said drop the keys again and told me to take my issues up with Expedia.

Seriously. The place is really stinky and dirty. Really, really gross.
Also as much would have it. 4 troopers changed down someone who was hiding in the hotel.

Property staff was helpful and nice. The room reserved for Expedia guests didn’t have a working AC unit. The place is dated and desperately needs to be updated. The wallpaper in the halls is peeling and falling off the walls. But they offer lower prices with nice clean rooms, so once you get through the “Backrooms” liminal hallways to your room you will be fine. The guy working the evening we checked in was friendly and helpful.

They first put us in a room that hadn’t been cleaned. Our second room was “cleaned.” Rugs were full of stains, door frames & walls dirty, sheets wrinkled as if not washed. The building was so run down. The front desk guy was nice but made no apologies as if it was normal that we were disappointed in the room. We checked out within 20 minutes and went to the Best Western down the road which was great. They did give us a refund with no questions asked. We are glad we did. We got this property for substantially cheaper than the surrounding hotels so I guess you get what you pay for. Never again.

They gave us the key to an occupied room. Yea, read that sentence again. Walked in on two guests, one gentleman was not fully clothed. My wife and I apologized to them immediately closing the door in shock. The level of embarrassment and feeling almost intruded on must have been so awkward. I felt so bad for them but also so upset at the hotels ridiculously large mistake. Luckily my two small children did not see. My wife went to the front desk and told the staff the guests we walked in on deserved an apology. Need I say more? Well the pool had a dozen people in it but no clean pool towels anywhere for anyone to dry off. They had no clean ones. None. They gave us room towels instead. They didn't even offer us a voucher, coupon, or any kind of discount for their gargantuan error which leads me to believe they didn't offer anything to that poor couple that experienced a family walking in on them. No remedy for either party. Honest review of this hotel is I highly recommend you do not give your hard earned money to this place.

I found the sheets did not smell fresh, the windows were left open in the room. There was a lot of debris on the sheets when I pulled the covers back. The pool floor- I did not want to touch with my feet as there was a lot of grit on it. There were no towels in the pool area. This is my third time there and I don’t think I will be back.

The key cards to get in my room were constantly failing which required a return on no less than six occasions to reprogram the key card. This was most inconvenient and annoying! I had no shampoo or conditioner in my shower which was highly disappointing with wet hair and no way to wash it. The staff member in the lobby was using inappropriate and foul language while conversing with colleagues. The pool walls were rusty and need to be cleaned or repainted. Guests or other parties were in parking lot for hours late into the wee hours of the morning and should have been told to dissipate. My friends tv signal went out on her last day. A refund for all or part of this stay is requested.

First impressions are key to any stay. While the lobby is very clean over all, the carpets are in need of cleaning. The staff was fantastic. The sides to the elevator and the wall next to it are in need of cleaning. The handrails along the halls are in need of cleaning and a little bit of chip paint repaired. The walls along the halls need to have the wallpaper re-glued at the seams in several spaces along the hallway. The room itself was very clean, except for the carpets and the little stool in front of the mirror. The stool upholstery was very dirty. There’s a large stain in front of the dresser on the floor. The bed is very comfortable and otherwise the room is well maintained. The furniture is well maintained as well.

This is my second stay at this location and cannot say anything negative about the experience besides not having a fan in the bathroom. Aside from that, the rooms are clean, the beds are soft, the pillows are amazingly comfortable and fluffy. The complimentary hygiene products are great quality (I accidentally forgot my body wash and lotion) and in large bottles that allow for all occupants to use. I have another 3 day stay booked for this coming weekend and can't imagine I will have any less than an amazing experience then as well! The staff is very polite and eager to help with any concerns or issues. In fact the first time I stayed I forgot my phone charger and the attendant

So my son graduated this weekend and I booked 3 days in Plattsburgh days inn by Wyndham. Bad idea. My daughter’s room had a toilet full of unflushed poop and it was disgusting. Then I go to my room and find 10 def flies and moths everywhere. I told the general manager and he sad that he was pushed into that job and is trying to train the staff is all new. Also staff was smoking outside of the front entrance. I think they lived there cuz they were in their pajamas sometimes. The lady who checked me out was the only one that understood the seriousness of the situation. I took pictures of bugs and the roach I killed in the bathroom! Never stay here. NEVER.

I had stayed at this hotel a few times before. This was graduation weekend at the university, Normal check-in is at 3:00pm. We arrived at 1:45-50. There were other people trying to check in. We were all turned away. I heard the guy at the counter speaking to the people before me and he was a bit snotty. He also mentioned being short of staff to get all the rooms ready for early check in. I’m sorry, that is a YOU problem. We had been in the car for 5 hours, had to attend a reception and awards ceremony at 3pm. I needed to finish getting ready so I couldn’t possibly arrive at exactly 3 (distance, traffic, stops along the way). I had other family members staying at another hotel who arrived at the same time. They were able to check in at their hotel!! I understand hotels have times and need to clean, but, again, graduation weekend in a city that’s not exactly a tourist attraction…this should not have happened. Hotels know the amount of people arriving and should be ready to accommodate a damn hour before normal time! I was extremely annoyed, had to leave, get ready elsewhere and check in in the evening after the ceremony. ALSO WTH with the toilet? Was it built for people 4’ tall?? Sooo low I literally slammed on it when I went to sit down and I’m only 5’6”!! Although the overall appearance is good for a low budget hotel, but they need some updates. The wall under the window had a crack that went straight down exposing the cracked concrete-probably asbestos too!

The only bad thing about our over night trip to Plattsburgh was the hotel I do not recommend the Days Inn by Wyndham when we first arrived I had to go to the service desk 3 times we couldn't get into our room so they switched rooms for us the room had dead ladybugs on the floor and in the bathroom the toilet was grimy and the bathtub wall had a big crack in it the pool area was nasty the hot tub was broken no water and not able to use the pool area was dirty the breakfast wasn't all that good the sausage was cold the eggs were dry and cold it took them 10 minutes just to make a pot of coffee they ran out of coffee cups and the staff was smoking pot as we walked by and I'm allergic to the smell of it yes I know it's legal and I know I sound like a Karen but if you are on the clock working you should not be smoking it next time we come stay in Plattsburgh for the night it will be somewhere else very disappointed in the hotel

Which I was staying over there for tonight, but we changed a plan and we decided to stay two nights the two nights just cost through Expedia 160 bucks the third night paid through the front desk was 120 bucks. That’s a big price difference good location of the hotel regarding cleaning this they do need a deep cleaning on these rooms the bed it is super comfortable. The pool is awesome over was a good experience.

My initial review of the room was great because I dropped my bags and headed to a meeting. When I returned and wanted to take a bath I found long black hairs all over the tub. My last day was the only time the shower was hot. There were stains in the carpet and the window lock/frame was broken. Your internet is extremely slow in general but it kept going in and out during my stay.

I've stayed at the property before and feel this was by far my worst stay.

My room was clean, pool was open. The ice machines do not work on any floors. The check in staff out of 3,1 was very nice and helpful. Saw i assume the owner and family. Saw me and walked away from the desk, instead of helping me. They dont speak English so instead of getting someone else that laughed. I was just handing in my key. The lady in the café and the check out this morning was totally on something. Needless to say I will not be back.

I stayed there 2 years ago and it was fine for the price. This recent weekend I was there and it has really gone downhill. The elevator was dirty and sounded like it was going to fall apart. The fire escape stairs always had the doors open. The pool had more green algae on the bottom then the natural color of the liner. Breakfast was minimal, always cold, always running out. Walked to the back kitchen to have attention to the empty coffee crafts, cold wet egg bins, and really salty sausage. Found one associate (he may have been 18) who spoke English. The rest just put their hands in a prayer sign and bowed to me. Minimal towels and very small at best. The shower is fine if you're 5 ft, but if you're 6 ft. And over you have to bring the water up to your chest and head. Mattresses are very uncomfortable. Will not be staying there again.

I booked a 1 night stay for my girlfriend and I for her birthday had it all planed out got the key took her to dinner we went back the room played some board games then it was time to sleep she pull back the covers and there it was public hair on the sheet we went to the desk and talked to the staff the ladies wasnice and understanding offered a new room but it was gross so I'm like how do I know that the other sheets were changed so asked her if we could just leave and get a refund she said I will personally talk to the manager cause that is gross was apologizing for awhile we leave my girlfriend calls the next day and there respons was you were there to long for us to give you a refund and house keeping check it was only a few stray hairs then she hung up on my girlfriend if the manager gets this they may want to give me a call

The door to our room had been broken. We had to swipe our key literally 50 times every time to get in. Staff was rude when a new key was requested due to the key issue. There were balls of hair on the floor in the pool room and all through the pool. The hot tub was not marked broken but the water temp was at 65 degrees. Coffee in the lobby was cold. The arcade games would take the credits but not work with no resolution from staff as the machines are from a \"third party\". It's really such a shame as my family and I have been going here for years on spring break. We will have to try somewhere new next year unfortunately.

Samedi à 8h30 il n'y avait plus d'œufs, de saucisse et de muffins. Ils ont rempli le comptoir vers 9hrs seulement.
À la piscine vendredi il y avait une grosse couette de cheveux près de la piscine et samedi soir elle y était encore. Les 2 jours nous avons dû demander des serviettes pour la piscine car ils n'y en avaient plus.
À notre arrivé le vendredi notre carte magnétique ne fonctionnait pas. Le samedi nous avons dû aussi aller la faire changer car elle ne fonctionnait plus.

There was an extra charge on my credit card that I was unaware of when checking in or checking out. I’ve tried to reach out for an explanation and have not heard from the hotel.

The bathroom had pee on the toilet and hairs in the shower. You could hear the elevators movement in the room and the door to the elevator sounded like screeching metal. This was distracting throughout the night.

When I got to the hotel and got our room it had trash all over it and when I got a new room the door was broken and the key barely worked! But the worst was when they closed the hotel down and made everyone leave, I still had one more night there and they said Expedia will refund me for that night and have not been refunded yet it’s been over a week!

The bathroom was not clean. There was dried urine all over the back of the toilet seat and hair in the shower. The breakfast area was dirty. The floor was sticky and the counters were filthy. There wasn’t a single employee around to tell that the juice machine was out. The pool area was equally dirty and there weren’t any clean towels. Arrived at 4pm. There was a note at the desk \"had to leave back in 5 minutes\" 15 minutes later a girl showed up with food she had got from somewhere. She apologized and talked to someone one in the room just behind the desk who had obviously been there the whole time we were waiting. The point of trip was to take my kids swimming during a cold winter. Heater was turned off in the pool, pool was 65 degrees, unable to be swam in. At first they played stupid about the temperature. After annoying them enough they had a guy check the pool who said \"yeah its 65, but the heater is at 72, it should be warm soon\" Really? A huge pool in a 65 degree heated room with 65 degree water will be heated \"in a few minutes\". So swimming was not available. The next morning i brought my daughter down for breakfast at 7:30. There was 1 guest eating and no hot food left. Woman running the thing said give me 10 minutes and i'll get some food out. The vending machines were out of order and when we went to leave the sliding door wouldn't open. The woman at the desk just looked at us and said, \"yeah the sliding door gets stuck, you need to slide it open by hand.\" The room was nice enough and clean but the accommodations and customer service of these people is absolutely horrible. I would encourage anyone thinking of staying here to stay at any one of the other hotels nearby.

The room was pretty worn out, the carpet and the seats were stained and had some pretty bad burn marks from a hot iron, the included Krueg didn't work, the bed was very stiff and uncomfortable, the elevator stopped working and the roof over the indoor pool was leaking into it. The room was clean. Gym didn’t have everything it shows in photos. Only has a treadmill, 2 bikes, and an elliptical that was broken. Also had some dumbbells and a bench. Pool and hot tub were as advertised. Main reason for the 3 stars is the worker at front desk had over 10 people in line when we arrived just before check in time and completely ignored all of us until 3pm. Then when we finally got to the room our key wouldn’t open the door. Took 2 more trips down to the front desk and over an hour to get into our room. And it wasn’t just us with the issue, every single person who checked in were also locked out of their room. Our entire floor was full of people with all their luggage in the hallways unable to get into their rooms. Was very frustrating but we still managed to have a good time.

Room wasnt ready even though I arrived later and checked in four hours past check-in time. Had to wait about 20 minutes for them to clean it. Otherwise it was a nice stay. Staff was courteous.

The hotel was close to all the dining and desserts we wanted. The room was clean as well as the hotel. We used the hot tub and pool, both we very enjoyable.

Overall cleanliness of the hotel is definitely on the lacking side. Doorways were quite dirty and the elevator was awful. Carpet in the hallway on floor two was dirty and bunching up in spots, most likely from poor installation many years ago. Wall paper in hallways and in room 247 were pealing at the seams. Lighting in the rooms was quite dull and the amount of dust on the tv stand/ refrigerator area was is bit disappointing as this showed it hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time. Room wasn’t serviced for an entire weekend and had to go to front desk for toilet paper as that was almost completely gone when checked in. A much different stay than two years ago when staying a weekend for kids hockey tournament.
