Very nice property and within walking distance of the beach, the Del Hotel and many good places to eat. We had a rental car and ended up finding parking on the street to save the $50 fee. Had to do some moving around but easy to find some free places. We had a unit on the busy street so that was not ideal but location is hard to beat.

They have lots of amenities to keep adults and the children entertained close proximity to beach. Very central location. everything is within walking distance the beach the eateries. There’s a tram that stops right in the front if you need to visit someplace. Great place great value.

We had a great stay! The location is perfect and the staff were all wonderful. We walked to lunch, activities at the Hotel Del. It was a mile from where my son was playing soccer. So convenient to everything we had to do. Our kids loves taking the shuttle to the Loews Hotel.

Inexpensive option in prime location. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Ac worked great. Fridge was not as cold as I hoped for. Addressed it to front desk at check out. What was concerning was the morning we checked out we saw a cockroach by the coffee maker. Took a photo and showed the front desk manager. He insisted it was a water bug. I humored him and smiled but I think this will be our last stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Coronado Beach Resort! The location is unbeatable — just a block from a gorgeous beach and close to everything in San Diego. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the amenities are fantastic: beach wagons, chairs, umbrellas, pool, ping pong, board games, DVD rentals, and even Ms. Cody, the resident parrot who greets you in the lobby. The rooftop BBQs, hot tub, and sauna with sunset views were highlights of our stay.

Many guests are longtime regulars who clearly know each other and the staff, which adds to the welcoming, community feel. We’re not owners, but we felt completely at home here. The best thing about Coronado Beach Resort is the location. You can walk to a lot of great spots on Coronado. The worst thing is that the elevator isn’t working and it will take six to nine months to replace. It’s a stretch to call it a resort. But you can take a free shuttle to Lowe’s Resort and use their great pools and gym. I booked through Expedia and ended up with a room with a pull down bed. It was uncomfortable. The next day we found out you could request a mattress topper and extra pillows and that helped out a lot. They also offer free beach cruiser bikes. Montana and Pearl were working the front desk and they are delightful.

But then there’s the live parrot to greet you, they will accommodate if you get there early, have happy hour, free shuttle to luxury resort also free with yet another awesome beach, good eats, good shopping, good vibes! The room is spacious and thoughtful with a jetted tub, kitchenette and dining room table. The people are so nice! And everything you need for the beach…towels, backpack chairs, toys, and a wagon! Just bring sunscreen. The worst part is I am spoiled and can no longer stay anywhere else but Coronado Beach Resort!

I booked a room on my birthday and as I reached the hotel they told me they overbooked and had to cancel my stay. I had already payed for my room and they told me I couldn’t get a refund for 5-7 business days. It’s been 13 business days and I still have not received a refund and no communication from the hotel. Very clean and very comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative is the window of our room was old and thin. We could hear EVERY single sound coming from the street, conversations from passerbys and music from passing cars.

Cleaning Crew gets an 11/10...stellarly clean and organized. Entrance is around the side of property in case of disability....not evident in the dark. Staff was wonderful and there is an awesome resident parrot in the lobby. Activities, and great vibe. Close by beach, and GREAT for families or friends travelling. Great stay. The check in was a breeze. Montana made everything so simple. To ly complaints weren’t horrible since the weather wasnt bad. The A/C in the room never really kicked in or cooled off. We had better luck turning it off and turning all of the ceiling fans on HIGH. I would definitely have to rethink staying here again during the summer. That might be a deal breaker. The shower in the room didn’t drain very well. You were standing ankle deep in water during your shower and had to wait till the water was off for all the water to fully drain.

Quick solo trip, wanted to be walking distance to beach and restaurants. I enjoyed having a kitchenette and the Murphy bed was nice to put away when I needed to get some work done on my computer and feel less crowded. A bit dusty and the street can get loud, bring a sound machine and ear plugs. I appreciated the breakfast in the morning, but nothing substantial- just some bread and fruit so don’t bank on having that alone.

This was a good size room (actually a 1 bedroom apartment). It was quite comfortable, quiet, and in a Great location! Walkable to the beach, restaurants and shops. Parking was included and easy (though the space are a bit tight). Would definitely stay again.
