We really loved our stay here. The staff was really amazing, caring and attentive to every single detail. Our host was Melon. He took care of us for every single request and he even anticipated them.
We enjoyed many activities within Keemala, the garden tour with Tan was really the best one, we saw a rubber tree, all the herbs and the mushroom room. The cocktail class was a little bit too fast but the staff was always very very nice, explaining how to make a Thai cocktail and helping us with pictures and making us trying the ingredients, I would have loved to try a more complicated cocktail.
The gym is small but furnished with everything you need.
The restaurant had a gigantic menu and everything we tried was delicious both for breakfast or any other meal.
The room ladies were really stunning. Every day they were leaving us a message in the bed with some flower compositions and a little car, it really made our honeymoon even more special.
The hotel is located in a more remote area and unfortunately you can see and hear some noises coming from the outside like car speeding or the call for payer from the close by mosque. Apart from that everything was really perfect.
Thank you so much for having us and treating us in the best way.

I don’t even know where to start with this place. My wife and I came to Keemala to celebrate our fifth anniversary, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like we’d stepped into a dream. The air was fresh, the sound of the forest was everywhere, and there was this peaceful energy that made us slow down right away.

Our villa host, March, deserves the biggest thank you. He had this way of knowing what we needed before we even asked—checking in on us without ever intruding, making sure we were always comfortable, and just being such a kind presence during our stay. Every other staff member we met was the same—genuine smiles, thoughtful touches, and the kind of hospitality that doesn’t feel forced.

The villa itself was incredible. Waking up to the view outside our window, having coffee by the pool, hearing the birds in the morning—it’s the kind of setting that makes you forget about everything else. Everything from the layout to the small details was spot-on.

We came here hoping for a special anniversary trip, and we left with something so much more—memories we’ll keep for the rest of our lives. Keemala, you’ve set the bar very high for every trip we take from now on.

Keemala was a spectacular experience. There are different types of rooms for different types of feels, we stayed in the "clay houses" and they were amazing.
The rooms, and bathroom alone, were hard to leave because they were so luxurious. There's a personal pool at each residence if you don't want to go to the large communal one.
The food at the restaurant they have was delicious at every meal of the day and there are great views of the city while you enjoy deliciousness.
We didn't stay long enough to enjoy all there was, so yet and stay 2 nights
Everything was very serene and you really feel pampered from the moment you show up.

The property itself is stunning and truly a one of a kind experience. The service was only 3 stars though and for the amount of money you pay, I’d expect better service. On multiple occasions staff members asked for a tip which should not be happening at a 5 star resort. When we tipped our room service guy, he asked if we had cash instead of putting it on the room bill. And then our “villa host” asked for a tip as well when all he did was check us into the hotel (that’s not something you typically tip for). The other downfall is that this place is pretty remote so you have to rely on their shuttle to get into town which only comes at 11am, 2pm and 4pm. Wish they had more shuttles or at least offered to take guests to the bottom of the mountain on their golf carts.

They were very welcoming, friendly & helpful.
The place is unique in nature, once in a lifetime experience.
It’s not walkable to the beach.
But you can enjoy the resort itself big time.
We didn’t need to go to the beach.
They made us room decorations on our arrival for our honeymoon.

This was the nicest place that I’ve ever stayed. My accommodations were perfect and the staff was incredible. My Butler, Tony, was able to arrange all my activities (Phi Phi Le, scuba diving, etc), dinner reservations and transportation when needed. A true professional. I loved the fact that the resort also had scheduled transportation to/from Kamala Beach where there were beach chairs, umbrellas and lots of food vendors. Other reviews mention, mosquitos, but you are on a hillside, in the jungle, so they should be expected here and everywhere else in Phuket. I’m highly recommending, Keemala.

It was my honeymoon stay and I can confidently say that it was one of a lifetime experiences at this magnificent resort. I booked the bird nest option and it has exceeded our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly and professional! They helped us in every detail and escorted us to wherever we wanted to go. The entire resort is beautiful for photography and videography. This is the most magical place I’ve ever stayed at. The service is phenomenal and the birds nest room we stayed in was gorgeous. I actually felt emotional walking in, it was so beautiful!

The outdoor pool was so fun and welcome on a hot day. It was nestled in the jungle which felt magical.

The ‘extras’ make this a 5 star stay - little daily hand made snacks wrapped in leaves, they seemed to anticipate our needs too and would be waiting to give us a ride (maybe all the cctv cameras?!), the staff were so friendly and accommodating.

My only negative is the lack of drawers to put clothes away. There was not a single dresser. Even a few hooks to hang stuff or towels would be nice.

If you have mobility issues or can’t see well (ie when you get up at night to pee!), it is very tricky to maneuver around. Lots of unexpected step downs, stairs and objects in your way makes it a toe stubbing certainty!

I highly recommend this place even for a few nights (it’s pricey!).

It was a beautiful stay in a beautiful hotel, little bit of hiccup when switching rooms but the general manager mr jason solved all issues brilliantly. It’s an adventure to enjoy to stay in a tropical jungle with modern set up. We tried both tree house and bird nest suites, and both were beautifully decorated with large jacuzzi swimming pools that overlooks breath taking lush mountain and sea. It is a tropical area so u should be ok with what lives there if u want to enjoy the place. Thanks keemala for these beautiful memories.

Interesting hotel. We were expecting more for the price you pay, when you compare this property to say the Shore at Katathani or the Banyan Tree then it is way overpriced in terms of the pools, privacy, breakfast and grounds, views etc. This is a lovely hotel but there is a lot or noise from the main road ( needs thicker glass ) . Breakfast was OK but not 5 star. Some staff were great while others were inexperienced. The tent room was very nice, excellent shower very comfortable bed. Room services food was 1st class but pricey. Can't fault the room but in a competitive market like Phuket there are many other 5 star hotels that have better locations, offer better grounds, better staff and dinning. I wanted to love this place but can't recommend it

Keemala is a magical holiday resort perched in the hills behind Kamala Beach in Phuket. The rooms are gorgeous, most with private pools, and the communal pool with swim-up bar is stunning too. The hotel serves delicious food (with plenty of dietary options to choose from). The staff could not be friendlier, the spa treatments are some I've the best I've ever had.
I would not recommend Keemala to anyone with mobility issues but other than that, It's a 5-star from me.

The room was nice and staff were very friendly, except for the bold guy at night shift ( golf car driver ) at the first 3 nights .
The negatives:
1- private pool was very dirty ( used medical mask from previous guest ) .
2- the private pool was very cold .
3 - the resort is far away from everything and no nearby restaurants or any activities .
4- no room service after 10.30 pm .
5- the taxi driver they ordered for me was very expensive , 400 baht to patong beach .
5- shuttle from the airport costs around 60 dollars , and paid 24 dollar from keemala to the airport .
6- orange stains on the towels.
7- no privacy, you can see other guests in their villas

What a perfect stay! Our tent and pool were delightful. The staff is fabulous - anything you want is seemingly immediately delivered to your door. The food was excellent and wine choices as varied as is typically found in SE Asia. (Good, not great.) Our first nights dinner had a snaffue which the staff immediately took care of. The property over all is just beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. The staff is very respectful and welcoming. They take all requests seriously and treat guests as VIP. We loved our stay here. Where do we even start! If you can stay here it is a MUST!! it’s exceptional and epitomizes luxury. The staff was incredible, Mac was our “butler” and made sure that we had everything we needed during the day. They brought us fun nighttime treats every night and with only 38 “tree houses” you feel like you have the property to yourself! Jose led us in a wonderful aqua yoga and sunrise yoga sessions and buggies take you to and from through the property. We can not wait to go back!!

Natural Scream of the Insect

Amazing hotel, try the room with the view to the resort rather to the sea .
One thing you need to take into account there is a live insect called Ciceda, making a VERY LOUD noise that feels like the whole place on Fire (noise of fire alarm 🚨)
The Staff informed us about it as we arrived, and told us it will be for an hour between 5Pm- 6pm Just before the dark comes. ( which was absolutely fine with us)
However it has happened twice during our stay (5 nights) that this Natural scream of that Insect , at 5AM in the Morning and woke us twice during our stay. And we couldn’t get back to sleep after that.

Apart of that the hotel is a true experience and the staff was kind and polite over the top, especially Jida! She is the one to look for, she made it very special to us ! Top Staff

Truly heaven on earth. Beautiful rooms w/private pools and ample amenities. Its set on a large hilly piece of land with buggies always available for your transport on resort. Only thing we didn’t like was AC and refrigerator were not properly working in our room. Shower water was also pooling outside the bathroom which was a big minus. All in all, highly recommended.

Keemala is a boutique luxury set of private villas in the hills. You feel remote but it’s a 5 minute ride to the beach. The treehouse was just incredible. Free mini bar, our own personal coordinator to call anytime to arrange anything we wanted. Breakfast is included but you can organise brekkie to be sent to the treehouse with no charge. It’s expensive, but everything is just of such a great quality you are getting your moneys worth. Loved the stay! It was our honeymoon and champagne was waiting for us, on the house. So kind, thank you.

My husband and I came for our honeymoon and were amazed with this place. We kept saying it was top notch because it really was in every aspect. From the friendly and helpful staff to the amazing views, Keemala gave us everything we hoped for and more. We were so sad to go... the ambience that Keemala has is definitely enchanting. Very average experience, not worth the money. Comparable hotels offer better villas and prettier views for these prices. Worth knowing sea view is not pretty it is actually a not very pretty town view with sea in the far distance. No sun rise or sunset and the water villas are the only ones I have seen that offer absolutely no sunshine therefore the water is also extremely cold Noise from the town on loudspeaker wake you every morning at 5am (with earplugs)

I LOVEDDDDDDDDDD IT HERE!! So amazing. I adore Peach, she is the absolute best host ever!! The receptionist was a bit curt and rude to me and I did not appreciate that, especially after rushing me to leave my room for checkout and then keeping me waiting, ironically. We were also not warned that there would be villas within such a close proximity that we would not have absolute privacy, and that there were traditional Thai music/singers that would sporadically bellow throughout the night and very early in the morning, but the amenities and the service and the villa itself was absolutely amazing.
