The staff were extremely nice at this hotel. I appreciated the concern and kindness shown by Mike at the front desk when I let him know we were going to be checking out of our room early (nothing serious happened, just an unfortunate cutting short of our trip due to bad planning). He was also helpful in explaining how to buy a tram ticket. The breakfast was great and the eating area was pleasant. The hotel is very conveniently located for the tram and easy to get to the train station (we actually walked to it when we first arrived, it's about a mile and a half). My only complaint is that the bed was extremely hard, which is tough on my lousy back. I'd probably stay there again because of the other great features but it would be an easier choice with a better mattress.

Nice enough, small but comfortable beds. Parking nearby for €5 per day, breakfast very expensive for what it is so we did not include this in our stay. Close to plopsaland which is why we chose it, and an easy drive from Calais ferry port.

The hotel is in a good location, and is ideal for the town centre, my satnav directed me to it with ease. Upon arrival, check in was quick and efficient. Initially I parked on street using the English language enabled parking meter and card payment. I then used the hotel car park, which was quite expensive, for our two day stay. I later learned that there was a long stay car park near by which would have been cheaper.
Breakfast was available until 10am in the hotel, but seemed rather expensive at 21€ per person, and was a buffet style continental as you would expect. A small kettle with some complimentary tea, coffee and whitener as found in many hotels that we have stayed in, would have been most welcome. Overall though, we had a good experience.

Brilliant!

Stayed here with some friends to visit Plopsaland. A brilliant stay!

Was greeted by a friendly receptionist who was also operating the bar in the evening. By far the friendliest person we spoke to the entire trip! Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only improvement would be to have plug sockets by the bed rather than on the opposite side of the room.

Parking was secure but on the pricier side. Would happily stay here again.

The staff was fantastic - the room looked like a dorm room. The worst thing was the elevators. The best we could determine there was one and the staff used it too. We ran into several occasions where the staff was hauling things around versus giving the guests the elevator

A conveniently located hotel in the centre of De Panne with underground parking. The parking is 20 Euro's a night which is a bit steep. There is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which isn't great. Also, the bed has a very thin topper type mattress on a base, and isn't comfortable for longer than 1 or 2 nights.

Good service but the bathroom cleanliness was disappointing! The shower tiles and shower drain were absolutely not clean and not how you would expect in a hotel. We didn’t want to shower because of that.

Good hotel with secure parking well located.

Very good new farly hotel close to De Pann kerk tram stop. Underground parking €20 per night, a bit dear but very secure. If you have a large SUV, parking could be a challenge if the carpark is full.
We would go back is it ticks all the boxes for us.

A smart hotel with rooms of a decent standard. The room price is good but parking costs 20 euros PER NIGHT, which is absolutely ludicrous. Breakfast costs 15 euros per person per day so we said no and went to the McDonalds down the road.

Reception area very smart and well presented. Room was clean but basic. No kettle in the room. Bathroom is nicely decorated, clean and modern.

Overnight stay in a Ibis hotel in De Panne.

We arrived about 3:30 pm to the Ibis hotel in De Panne and was booked in quickly and a very polite receptionist asked if we wanted to book breakfast but we declined. The rooms were very nice and cosy, downside was that there are no tea or coffee facilities. We had three rooms and would certainly go again as its not to far to walk to the shops, beach and restaurants. We would have had breakfast if there was a cooked breakfast and at a decent price. I knew where we could get a full English breakfast for €9.95, didn’t use the underground car parking as I believe it was €20.00 a night and plenty of car parking in the street.

Nice hotel convenient location

This Ibis is just what you would expect. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel has a very convenient location at the bottom of the high street so a short walk to the town and beach. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and exceptionally helpful. We were a little early for checking in but this wasn’t a problem and throughout our stay, couldn’t have done more to make our stay perfect.

Pros:
-Nice enough hotel with easy on street parking.
-Staff was friendly and helpful.
-Location was convenient to a variety of shops and restaurants.

Cons:
-The full bed, because it is two beds pushed together, continually separated. The bed had no support and was like sleeping in a bowl. Not one good night sleep.
-Unfortunately I also had a street light right in front of my window which the curtain would not completely block the light.
-Also, in the off season, the hotel is closed on Sunday. Because of the Sunday closure, I was forced to stay in another hotel, which was actually a step up, which I am currently still a resident of.
-The selection of hotel food, while not bad, was expensive. 18 Euro for basically a bowl of soup. I thought it would have come with maybe a salad and bread. Ala carte only. I ate out the remainder of my stay here.

Was told there was free parking as on the website Hotels.com said but it's €30 per night, was told breakfast came with it but it's actually €15 per person. They tell you this when you check in. Phone down for room service but they don't have this either. So went to the restaurant and ordered 2 pizza's for the room as most other dinners where no longer available(I was ordering at 8pm). Oh and the pizzas are frozen! But don't worry you still have to pay €11 for your frozen pizza that you could of got out of the shop!

Dissapointed about the parking, charged 12.50euros per night then had to leave the car park as soon as we checked out, asked if we could leave the car there for a couple of hours whilst we had lunch but was refused then told there was a free car park about 100m away!!!!! (Didn't tell us that before they took our 37.50) Did say good morning to the reception staff every day but they couldn't even acknowledge us!! Hotel convenient and clean. Did have an early morning call on our last day, not that we booked it, workmen knocked on the door at 9am wanting to come in to do works in the bathroom!!! Not appriciated was hoping for a lie in on our last morning!!

Very Modern

Used this hotel as on stop over for a trip across Europe. It is on the edge of De Panne but within easy walking distance of the sea front and all the restaurants and shops. The staff were very helpful, the room was a good size with lots of storage and a comfy bed. The reception area is very bright and modern with a small bar area. There is air conditioning and a very secure underground car park which you have to pay extra for. We didn't have breakfast. Definitely worth trying.

we stayed for a long weekend to go to the beach. The hotel is a 15 min walk to the centre of the town and to the beach, but it wasn't a problem. The hotel itself was perfectly comfortable, clean, with good service. Shame there wasn't a restaurant in the hotel, as we'd have preferred to eat in on our first night, when we arrived late with children. Would also be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room! Otherwise, very good hotel and location.

very Pleasant stay, loved the way we got 2 rooms opposite each other with an outer door so we could leave the 2 indoor doors open, 5 mins walk into the centre, staff were great, rooms clean and very comfortable, great wifi and TV had some english channels. definately will stay again.

We stayed here with 3 other family members, in 3 rooms. Great hotel. Very clean and modern. Bathrooms fantastic. Showers are great. All single beds put together which is typical European style.
Location is nice. Not too busy.
Staff were very friendly and spoke both Dutch and English.
Highly recommend this hotel.

On the way home

Passing by on the way to Calais. Similar accommodation in the UK would be cheaper bought in advance.
But this new basic, hotel has every thing you need for an overnight stay, the rooms are small, but on the plus side, there is underground parking or easy on street parking, and just a short walk to the small town centre.

Er werd mij €20 parkeerkosten gerekend voor 2 uur parkeren. Terwijl je op straat voor €2 per uur betaald. Van 18u tot 10.00 gratis.

Een flesje cola in de lobby is €4,50. Belachelijk.

Het is geen 6 minuten lopen van het strand maar minimaal 15 minuten

La salle d’eau est spartiate. Pas même un p’an pour poser sa trousse de toilette ou ses vêtements. Le pommeau de douche manque de largeur et de débit.
Pas de housse de matelas mais juste un drap trop court donc qui laisse le matelas nu… en dehors de ces choses à revoir, le reste correct pour une ou deux nuits.

So wie in der Exposé beschrieben. Alles gut, 6 Tage Aufenthalt.

Tipp an das Personal:
Frühstück Buffet zu Stoßzeiten ca. 8:00-9:00 Uhr vielleicht zu 2 betreuen?!. Es war von allen immer was dabei weil die Dame hinterher war, aber sie war teils echt im Stress und in Hektik. Das machte natürlich leider ungewollte Lärm Akustik und das hektische zum Frühstück beim ersten Kaffee, Saft usw. Ist leider auch fehl am Platz um entspannt in den Tag zu starten.
Ansonsten Daumen hoch. :-)

De prijs kwaliteits verhouding klopte absoluut niet! Dit is het duurste hotel waar we tot nu toe overnacht hebben en het viel kwa kamer in alles tegen vergelijken de eerdere hotels. Alles was enorm verouderd en zeker niet meer van deze tijd. De bedden waren niet prettig en ipv 1 groot 2 persoonsbed (waar we ook voor geboekt hadden) kregen we 2 eenpersoonsbedden. Er was zelfs geen handzeep te vinden om je handen te wassen, dit hebben we dus maar met shampoo moeten doen. De Föhn had geen blaas vermogen en werkte zo goed als niet. En er zat ook nog bloed op de muur van een vorige gast. Dit was niet bepaald fris.

Gelukkig was het personeel erg vriendelijk en 24 uur beschikbaar. Dit was een enorm pluspunt! Echter waren onze klachten niet snel op te lossen waardoor dit niet positief heeft bijgedragen aan ons bezoek.
