Great location. Really central and just across the road from the beach.
My room was probably one of the least expensive but was quite dark with no view and little outside light.
Reception guys were both really friendly.
Not really a hotel with facilities if that’s what you’re looking for but great as a base.

Two days prior to arrival a 260 Euro charge was applied for this booking to my credit card. This was an equivalent of approximately $400(Cdn). It is for a single room with a double bed, that was booked about 2 months earlier. I was in Pamplona prior, with a schedule change and had contemplated coming to San Sebastián a day earlier. Via the Expedia App I could have secured tha same single room for $260(Cdn) on Sep 06. Today I believe the room charge for a single night on Sep 08-09 would be around $190(Cdn). I stayed one night Sep 07-08.
These price variation was incredibly wide. The room is so small with a double bed. Not worth the price I paid for it.

Good value for the money in Donostia.

It’s a ‘province hotel’ and that’s part of its charm. Very nice people at the front desk who interact and help you out. Not a big deal of a room, it meets the purpose: good beds, a spacious bathroom and a good view. Breakfast can be skipped, there are many places around with a better value for the money on the subject. It has no parking so, add $40/night to your cost.

The proximity to the beach, restaurants, shopping and nearby landmarks was perfect! The staff were friendly and helpful. They were in middle of air conditioning repairs so unfortunately the a/c in our room was not working well. Luckily, our room had a patio door to allow fresh air. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall, enjoyed the stay here.

If you don’t want to blow the budget this is the place for you …. comfortable, clean, friendly, & a better location you could not ask for, from hotel foyer to being in the sea on La Concha Beach under 30secs.
Typical hotel breakfast available, coffee juice ham cheese croissants fruit yogurt, for an small extra charge.
Would recommend to anyone who values LOCATION over luxury.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Comfortable Hotel

Our room was against the stairwell so it was occasionally noisy with people going up and down. There was only a wardrobe for clothes, a drawer unit would have been a bonus. The mini bar was only a fridge and there was no in room safe. Having said that the beds were comfortable the air conditioning was welcomed in the heatwave and the bathroom had a walk-in shower. The breakfast is continental style and adequate and all the staff are friendly and willing to help. The hotel is in a great location with everything within walking distance.

The hotel location is perfect and close to everything but the room wasn’t the best , it’s very small and the A.C is very old so prepare yourself to sleep with some sounds.You only get 1 pillow so make sure to request for another one if you prefer to sleep with more also they need to have do not disturb signs to avoid someone knocking on your door to ask you if you wanna clean your room or not.

This property is all about the location to the beach, which is superb. Other than this there is no view, parking is a nightmare, there is no lobby to meet in and the hotel is old and in much need off a revamp. The amenities are lacking and soap comes in liquid form in a little plastic sachet which is difficult to open with our spieling the contents.

Perfectly suitable for a short stay near the beach, walking distance to the Old City. Parking is a problem, generally, one San Sebastián, but the hotel has an arrangement with public parking nearby which was a relief. BTW, the included breakfast is wonderful.

Good basic hotel in an excellent location just a minute's walk from the seafront and 5 minutes from the old town. May lack some of the facilities of larger hotels but the rooms were clean and comfortable if a little small. Good wi-fi even in the room which is not always the case in much more expensive hotels. Good breakfast for the price (6 euros during our visit)

Our room was a run down mess. Furniture was dinged and it was dark and cramped. The air conditioner did not work properly and produced a foul, warm smell. Its remote was taped together and bore the marks of multiple tapings. The refrigerator had coils sticking out the back. We didn't dare touch it for fear it was a fire hazard. The bed was low to the ground, mattress hard as a brick and it was fitted with shabby linens. The worst was the chronic smell of sewage that emanated from the bathroom. We asked to move and were told we could not be accommodated. The property manager told us the smell was typical of all hotel properties in San Sebastian due to the proximity to the sea. He lied, After one miserable night's stay, we moved to the Hotel Niza. Wonderful property. No smell.

Even for heavy summer demand, this hotel (or at least my room) was overpriced for what you get. My main complaint was the organization of the room, wherein the closet couldn't be opened without moving the bed; there was nowhere to set a bag, and overall the furniture arrangement just made little sense. There was, however, air conditioning, and the location was excellent. I also found the receptionist weirdly unfriendly on the day I arrived, but another staffer was great during departure.

Dirty, Bugs, Dump!

The place which is so loud with paper thin walls and doors that have to be slammed shut is a dump that is uncomfortable and dirty. There are giant garbage recycling and compost bins by the city right in front of the hotel. The smell was uncontrollable.
The very rude daytime front desk person needs to be fired.

The room is the size of a shoebox and the bathroom can barely foot a tiny person in the shower. If you are tall or over 200 pounds you will not fit in the shower.
The alleged breakfast buffet was disgusting and smelled bad and there were bugs every where.

The air-conditioner is so old that it does not work and you have to request it to be turned on from the circuit breaker because it’s not Central. Even then you’re still not going to get air-conditioning.

The daytime front desk man at the teeny tiny check in desk actually stood up, clinched his fist (when I offered to pay for coffee I had had the morning) as I was checking out and told me to get out of his hotel. I have never been treated so poorly or been in such a dump in my life. It was not listed as a one star hotel, when I originally made my booking. It does not deserve one star. Do not stay at this disgusting place

国鉄駅やバスターミナル、旧市街のバル街まで徒歩10分程度、海岸まで徒歩5分以内と歩いて市内を巡るにはとても便利な立地です。コンビニも近く、大きいスーパーも徒歩3分程度。
ロビー（と言える広さでもない）が狭く待ち合わせなどには不便です。
客室は狭く、ベッドとデスクで全てという感じ。スーツケースはベッドの上でしか広げられません。
館内や客室は古いものの清潔でした。
シャワーカーテンが無く、シャワーを使うとトイレスペースも濡れてしまい、東南アジアのホテルを
思い出しました。
冬場のお買い得価格の時期ならお買い得ですが、夏場で料金が上がるならちょっと・・・という感じです。

A friendly welcome and orientation/map of city on arrival after a 10 minute walk from the train station.

Our room was spotless and very comfortable but TINY. There was very little space to move around or lay out luggage etc. The bathroom was large and spotless as well.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel or use any of its facilities so we can't comment on those.

I'd highly recommend this hotel primarily for its wonderful location.

A very pleasant, modern and clean hotel in a central location yet very close to the beach . Rooms are quite small, especailly the single rooms, some of which have no external view.. just onto a light well. But priced accordingly . The central location makes up for it. double rooms with balcony looked fine.. though street between them and beach is busy.

Stayed for one night on September 24th 2015. Very good location - close to the beach and center of the town.

Due to film festival price was high but I was not ready to pay 400 euros for Hotel Londres which is next to this one.

Room & bathroom are very small but OK for one night since I spent most of the time outside of the hotel. The staff was friendly. Room was clean and all equipment worked well.

The hotel location is great, very close to the beach but the hotel itself is very small and so are the rooms. If you aren't staying in a room to the front of the hotel the rooms can be a bit dark too. Might be useful to note there is no lobby area or hotel bar/lounge to sit in but overall the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and it was very well maintained.

Very nice hotel located near the beach and a 10 min walk from the old town (where as a tourist you have to visit at night for a Pinxtos tour). Hotel is rated as one star so you won't find many bathroom amenities for instance. But they have a very high level of comfort (comfy beds, a/c, clean rooms). I would like to see some 3* look more like this place! Please be aware you need to use a parking if you go by car add that to your costs.

Exceeded Expectations for a One Star Hotel

Although the hotel is very small, especially the rooms, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is centrally located a block from the beach, steps away from the fantastic San Martin Mercado, a 10 minute stroll to the Parte Viaje, and a 15 minute walk to the bus station (to Bilbao). The staff was helpful and accommodating; and the complimentary Continental breakfast was better than anticipated.

Really don't understand why it's a 1-star hotel! It's located in a very safe and quiet area. Just two minutes' walk from the beach and 10 minutes' walk from the business centre, where you can find different shops and restaurants/cafes.
The staff were very helpful. The elevator is very small but it really helps when you have heavy luggage. The room was also a bit small, but clean and very functional. The coffee maker and the breakfast (included in the price) were a very wonderful touch!
The hotels in San Sebastian can get ridiculously expensive. Hotel Zaragoza Plaza is wonderful in terms of price and quality.

This hotel is in a great spot. Just two minutes walk from the beach at the 'old town end'. Takes about 5 mins to walk to the old town.

Hotel itself is very basic. The picture of the reception area is where the modern aspect stops. Our room was small and old fashioned. It had a tiny balcony facing the inner courtyard but it was dirty and run down. Was a horrible place to sit anyway so we wouldn't have used it but the condition was poor.

It's probably all you get for this price in San Sebastien and we did select it for the location. So it did the job but don't expect your room to be as glitzy as the revamped reception they picture.

Not sure why this hotel has a one star rating - it's at least a three. The location is excellent close to the sea front and within walking distance of the Old Town and other major tourist attractions. The room was very clean and the buffet breakfast was very adequate. My single room was on the small side although it had a comfortable double bed. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all, good value in comparison with nearby places.

Having travelled through Spain by train San Sebastian was our last stop staying at this hotel. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and she made sure we had maps and pointed out places to go and eat etc. We felt that the customer service was very good throughout our stay. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. As a previous person has commented there was a smell of some sort of air freshener in the hotel but to be honest after a while it was not noticeable. There was plenty of choice at breakfast with different breads, croissants, cakes, cut meats, fruit etc. We enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again.
