Colombina Hotel was a perfect spot to stay in Venice! Centrally located to some of the city's most iconic locations, while offering a quiet and authentic experience right on one of Venice's famous canals. The hotel had wonderful service, larger than expected rooms, and a great breakfast! I highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again!

We stayed in the family suite which had three bedrooms and a bathroom. It was beautiful and extremely clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if we go back to Venice.

Stayed at the Colombia Hotel for Venice Carnivale and the location was just perfect. Within minutes of San Marco along a straightforward path and to the key spots for photographing masks. The hotel arranged a private water taxi which was convenient though a bit steep (a nearby hotel was 10EU cheaper which helps). Breakfast staff were always attentive and pleasant. Breakfast options were varied with plenty of fruit. Room was spacious as was the bathroom. Well worth a consideration and a return visit.

The room was nice, comfortable, and had a recently remodeled bathroom. Our room didn't have much of a view, but the location is perfect and you are mere steps away from the biggest attractions in Venice.

The property is in a great location and it has its own dock which is great, for coming from the airport or walking around town. I will say the breakfast was subpar compared to other places we stayed in Italy and our room had a really bad smell to it, and was really small. I had to prop open the bathroom door daily and keep the doors open to the balcony when we were in the room. It had a screen which was unfortunately shredded. luckily we didn't get mosquitos.

Had a great time in Venice and enjoyed our stay at Colombina Hotel! The staff was amazing - friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our room was very nice, with a view overlooking the canal, and a very nice renovated bathroom (the bedroom furnishings are pretty dated, though).
Wish I could rate this 4.5 stars rather than 4 - the only real downsides that we experienced during our stay were room temperature being quite warm (cold air didn't seem to ever flow in, only heat), and the terrible persistent mosquitos which prevented us from opening the windows for the cool air. One of the two windows had a screen on it, but it did not cover the entire window so the mosquitos always found a way in, and boy are they thirsty! We woke up to multiple new bites each day.
Breakfast was pretty basic yet reliable, it included bacon, eggs, pastries, and simple beverages - no complaints there. The turnover staff was also great! Very nice location - about a 30 minute walk to the train station. We opted for the private water taxi to take us to/from the hotel - it is very expensive but worth it for the experience and overall ease (hop on, enjoy, hop off) over the packed and slow public boats.

Great hotel. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Location is great in nice quite spot away from crowds but located close enough to major spots like St Marks (2) min walk and Rialto bridge maybe 10 minutes. The staff is absolutely amazing so kind and friendly from front desk to bar tenders to bell man and breakfast service they are truly wonderful.

There are no smoke alarms in both the rooms or stair well, no fire extinguishers or blankets, no fire signs, no fire exit in this 2 bedroom room. It is not really any part of the hotel as is down the alley and you do not go in to the hotel at all. This room is not in the hotel and we are not sure why this is advertised as part of the hotel albeit an annexe. Our room was pretty but not serviced once, was incredibly loud and we all woke every morning with bites all over us. My sons cot bed mattress was orange and stained and he woke with bites all over him including his lip which was very sore. We are all covered in bites which only happened when in contact with the beds as there were no flys in October.
We were unable to find another accommodation option while out there to move to which woupd be affordable on topof what we have paid as there was a marathon on so was very full.
Venice itself is incredible, this accommodation is not.
Expedia, where is your accountability with this? You are selling this accommodate without clearly inspecting it first. With young children staying in accommodation with no fire precautions on the 2nd floor is totally unacceptable 😑 if there was a fire we would not be able to escape in anyway, especially with wooden beamed ceilings.

The building opposite is under going renovation but there was very little noise, just one small hiccup of a power cut during one breakfast but staff were straight out with lighting so everyone could see. Had hotel arrange water taxi service from Venice Airport. Excellent communication, confirmation, and guidance along the way. Flawless transfer to hotel lobby, and beautiful boat ride into the heart of Venice, right under the Bridge of Sighs! Worth every penny and the ONLY way to go for more than 2 people imho. Hotel location is perfect, only 4 minute easy walk from St. Marks square. Easy access to restaurants and shops, and less than 10 minute walk to Rialto area. Room is elegantly decorated, very quiet and comfortable. Our room had a canal view, too! Super clean, had espresso machine and fridge. Elevator is available, note lobby has several two step areas so accessible if you can transfer and climb two steps. Staff was phenomenal, friendly, spoke English well. Ask about their tours, they are great deals! Breakfast was delicious, buffet style with hot options, as well as traditional European fare.

Charming boutique hotel that is walkable to everything you’d like to see in Venice. They have their own boat entry, which was an amazing experience. Our view onto a canal and the Bridge of Sighs was spectacular! We enjoyed their breakfast every morning and had a lovely afternoon drink on their small dock. Door to door service. Then we got a water taxi for $100 euro to the train station - cause of a lot of luggage we had to do this and traveled to triedte for our cruise.

Our room was beautiful, very clean, and offered stunning views of both St Mark’s Campanile and the Bridge of Sighs, which made the stay feel truly special. On arrival we were welcomed with complimentary bottle of prosecco, and throughout our stay the staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. They went the extra mile to provide additional touches when requested, which really added to the experience. Overall, a perfect base for exploring Venice and a hotel I would happily return to.

The water taxi dropped us off right at the front entrance—an incredibly convenient way to arrive. Navigating this route would’ve been tricky if the water level had been too low or too high, especially with all our luggage in tow. While water taxis can be pricey, cruising through Venice along the Grand Canal is a spectacular experience that’s well worth it.

Location is perfect, just 5 minutes from San Marco piazza and it has its own water taxi stop (if not high tide)! We loved the location. But as for hotel room, it had a mild sewer stench especially in the bathroom, and the air conditioning was not enough for the summer heat. The housekeeping staff were not friendly, they would pass us by as if not seeing us, but the porters and kitchen staff were very friendly. Reception staff okay. I guess the high price of the room is because of the location.

Very cute and quiet hotel conveniently located close to St Marks Square. Staff was friendly at check in. We had breakfast included with our stay. Very centrally located w/ gelato options & restaurants throughout the area. A few things to keep in mind. We asked the front desk about airport return transport & the only option we were given was to have the hotel arrange private water taxi (motorboat) for $200 payable by cash only. Only after asked if there were other options did he offer the option to take a water bus, accessible by a 10 min walk from hotel. It stops at a handful of docks before VCE arrival at a cost of 18 euro, $24 roughly. When I asked for a reminder of how to get to the dock after checking out, (as I chose the water bus) the staff person seemed a little perturbed that I asked for directions to the dock. It seemed strange that at a cost of $200, the hotel only accepted cash for the service offered. On the same day when I visited the brkfst buffet the staff person noticed that I was leaving and offered to put together a to go brkfst for me. Very nice of her although only after she asked that I have the front desk person call her to tell her it was okay. The front desk person seemed a little confused by his colleagues request as well. If you have kids traveling with you the to go brkfst is a good choice as it comes with crackers, packaged sugar treats and mini juice boxes. For adults, try and make time for the hot breakfast. Enjoy!

We loved this place! We had a balcony room overlooking the canal with a gorgeous view of a garden. The staff was great with questions, and the breakfast was fabulous. The Colombino is very close to everything, and has a special tour of Murano, so we cancelled our planned trip and saved some money. Great hotel and highly recommend!
