If you set the one star hotel expectation and only stay overnight for lay over. I think this is the best option. You can take bus A22 to the hotel and back to the airport. It is cheaper than AirPort Express. Do not expect a large room with ocean view. This is HK.

It took me more than 2 hours to get checked in as there was no one on site after 3:00 pm. The worst thing that happened to me was that someone took a significant amount of cash (bills) from my backpack.

A decent spot near Jordan for solo travelers

Reasonably-priced hotels in this part of HK fill up fast, so I am glad that I can now add this one to my list of \"possible\" for a few nights (4-5 at the most; the room is too small to stay longer than that).
Anybody looking for a hotel in this neighborhood is certainly aware of the benefits (restaurants, shopping, close to MRT and A21/A22 bus stops).
The main problem with the hotel is that there is no staff on location for most of the day. I was lucky that the one time I forgot my card in the room was during room cleaning hours, so that the nice cleaning lady opened my room for me right away. I have no idea what I would have done if I had been out of the building after 9pm when I found out I was key-less.
Check-in is a bit late (3pm) but it's possible to arrange with staff to enter the hotel and leave luggage to come back later for check-in. I left mine at 8am, only to find out that the great (veggie) Oriental Spa sauna around the corner is gone, which ruined my plans for a a way to wait until 3pm in healthy comfort.
Would I return to Tempo Inn? It wouldn't be my first choice, but yes, I would have no problem returning (and if the same staff lady is there, I would give her the tip that I inexplicably forgot to leave as I was rushing out to catch my bus to the airport :-) ).

Great location, and the room itself is very nice. Entrance is difficult to find (not labeled), and even during the designated check-in hours, the staff do not answer the door bell and are difficult to get ahold of to actually get inside the hotel. Once inside however, everything is great. The room is very clean. Bed was very comfortable, and linens/pillows were of a nice quality.

I stayed at Tempo Inn @David Mansion for three weeks and highly recommend it! I came here for a job and needed a place to stay while I looked for apartments. The place was tidy, with a friendly staff and great location. I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about, especially the ones complaining about the cleanliness and bad smells from the street.

The smells on the street were never overwhelming to me, and I don't understand how they are the hotel's fault. Actually, food smells are just a part of staying in Hong Kong. There are many great local restaurants to choose from as soon as you walk out the door of Tempo Inn. The location is excellent--steps from tasty food, Temple Street Market, and the Jordan MTR.

Your expectation for cleanliness probably depends on how much you paid for your room. I got mine at a large discount, so I don't expect 5-star hotel standards. But my room was clean when I first arrived and a staff member came in to tidy up and change towels/sheets every day. I was completely satisfied.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The amenities are tidy--a refrigerator, microwave and drinking water dispenser. The laundry service was nice too (just drop off your laundry and it will be returned to your room--clean, folded and in a plastic bag). I would definitely recommend this hotel/hostel. I'm very grateful for the welcoming, comfortable stay I experienced throughout my first three weeks in Hong Kong.

-location close to MTR airport bus restaurants 7-11 etc

Bad(s):
-smell like sewage that comes from the ventilation (possibly from the restaurants downstairs and next door & pipe). Unacceptable to a point that I have to use fragrance and Chinese medicated oil to help sleep.
-the room is wore-out completely like staying at the street corner.
-noise (baby cries all night long & come from the ventilation possibly from people living in the building)
-toilet is smelly like sewage and moldy. Found a lively big cockroach.
-the bed sheet is tore-apart. Felt like I had one bedbug bite the first day on my neck.

Based on pricing, no complaint on the size of the room etc, wore-down room etc. I just stayed in the room for shower and sleep. But smell noise hygiene to your health plus bed sheet with a hole....it is NOT a place to stay. I will never go back.
Due to limited front desk service and my own day schedule, it is tough to complain and try to change room once you check in.

Another fun fact is that they claim people smoke (which I knew and I don’t smoke anyway) so they need cash/digital cash deposit....but the room may be smelly as bad as someone smoking in the room!!!! NOT a place to stay!!!

Very convenient shopping and food location. Only 30 min transportation to airport. Inn is inside a pretty old building without proper maintenance. Staff are friendly but unable to get us an extra pillow cuz there was no extra supply but she finally got us a cushion instead. Room is clean but extremely small. Only can allow one person went in first and shifted inside to the bathroom right next to the door so that the next one could walked in behind the first one. We had to leave one of our luggage by the front desk so that we can have room for two of us to get off the bed. We we're told our room was really for single person only. Not recommend for person with luggage cuz no room to open it.

Helpful staff and a overall ok experience.

The information and photos to find the hotel were good. The staff waited up for us despite our delayed flight and were helpful. The room needs a bit of TLC and a better clean, but was fairly quiet and bed was comfy. It was handy to have use of a fridge and microwave. For the money though, we would probably consider other options next time. Also we were unaware of 500hkd deposit for a key. Overall experience ok. Thanks.

Staffs are nice and the location is very convenience. However the room is very small, old, creepy entrance /elevator, w h o r e s and a bunch of thugs downstairs/everywhere ... terrible area. This Hostel came up as offering the best value in a convenient location. The facility is well maintained, service hours are very extended, the young staff is kind and helpful. Of course the rooms are very small and may not have a window, which is normal considering the extreme density and cost of living in HK.

Decent Hong Kong Hotel

This hotel is located in a busy area in Kowloon and very convenient to get to shopping, dining, and the MTR for travel around Hong Kong. The room size is a bit on the small side, which is normal for Hong Kong. Outside the building is very noisy, as there is a large night market for dining downstairs and outside the building, which is not good for turning in early. While the hotel is hard to find, no outside signage, the staff is friendly and helpful. Overall this is a decent place to stay in Hong Kong and I would recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel close for shopping, eating and others.

Although the room is a bit small, but clean, cold air is cold enough. The room has a TV set, a hot kettle; an independent bathroom and toilet. WiFi is strong enough.Like drinking cold water can be obtained in the corridor of the drinking machine. There are snacks, desserts and a big meal. Very good is the nearby foreign currency exchange business to provide a very good exchange rate. Airport bus get off and get on point in the walk step beyond the scope of 200 meters. The hotel also provides self made and very detailed instructions to guide you to the dining around, shopping and bus and subway.

Hard to find, small rooms but great location/staff

Check in was a real challenge as the entrance is very vague. Navigating to the front desk from said entrance was also difficult as its up a flight of stairs or through a dingy elevator. The online preview would not prepare us for the extreme small size of the room. However, with a minor upgrade the extremely helpful staff moved us to a larger room. Free WiFi is nice. Water machine and comfy bed was a nice touchange. Shower water ranged from cold to boiling hot, hard to find that sweet spot. Good location as plenty to eat nearby and close to major transit. Overall 2.5/5 experience.

部屋は狭いですが、その分、価格はとてもリーズナブルです。部屋によっては窓がない、外の喧騒が聞こえるなどありますが、個人的には気になりませんでした。
寝具が清潔で、掃除がきちんとされているところが気に入りました。
スタッフはひとによりますが、まあ、親切かな？
気になったことは、予約後のメールの案内があまり詳しくなく、チェックインの際、少し戸惑いました。

剛好是在廟街旁，所以晚上到一、二點仍是滿吵的，塞耳塞後還能勉強入眠
不過因為熱鬧所以附近吃東西、買東西都還滿方便的
但房間有點太小了，行李箱平放後就不能走路了，不過後來想想也還好，就剛好行李箱平放後，也能把門擋住，晚上房間安全無慮了。
最大問題是床舖不太好，有凹陷了，睡眠品質不太好
雖然是有個房務人員反應，但後來因為換房間時間也無法回來換，而作罷了
但房務人員都很親切，詢問的問題都有給予良好的回覆

4/26住宿一晚，心得如下:
房間雖然小但設備齊全，裝潢也挺溫馨的，依香港高房價來看算是經濟又實惠.
優點1.地理位置絕佳，路口左邊就是佐敦地鐵站，右邊對面馬路就是往機場的A22公車，去哪都方便。
2.服務人員親切，熱心的幫我們解決問題。
要克服的點就是
1.房間小行李無法全開，如果你要大肆採購的話 .整理行李會稍微不方便，不過可以放床上
2.樓下是餐廳可能會有點吵雜 (但我覺得還好)
這兩點你都可以接受的話十分推薦你住樂棧，來個香港美食之旅都非常合適

Well, this hotel is cheap and in great location, so of course it comes with some negatives.
- Rooms are small, so small I doubt you would have enough room on floor to open above-carry-on luggage. Luckily we went with backpacks.
- It's dirty. Everywhere you look, on floor, walls, all equipment in shower, all dirty and unwashed in looong time.
- Our shower was right above toilet. So anybody going to toilet needed to make sure it was all dried up or risked getting his clothing wet.

For 1-2 nights of backpacking over Hong Kong it's good choice, but be prepared, that this looks more like cheap hotel from third world country.

離佐敦地鐵很近

離佐敦地鐵很近，樓下就是著名的廟街夜市，吃東西很方便，但很喧嘩。晚上一、兩點還是很熱鬧，樓下的噪音會直接傳上來。另外，房間非常小，我們有3個人（一大兩小），訂的是雙人床＋單人床，只有很狹窄的行走空間。廁所更小，就是一個馬桶＋洗手台，還有一個人站立的空間左右。消防不太ok，跟一整棟舊大樓在一起，後面還有許多住家，注意安全的人不建議。

홍콩에 이만한 숙소없습니다~ 안좋은 후기가 많은거 같아서 안타깝네요..
입구는 저렇게 철문으로 돼있구요 엘리베이터 타지말고 계단으로 한층만 올라가면 바로 나옵니다 지하철역(조단역),버스정류장 가깝습니다.솔직히 주변이 새벽까지 영업하는곳이 많아서 조금 시끄러운거 빼고는 모든게 다 좋았습니다 방안에 화장실도 생각보다 컸구요 침대도 괜찮았어요!! 그리고 바로옆에 탬플야시장이있어서 짝퉁명품 쇼핑하는 재미도 솔솔했어요 ㅋㅋ
솔직히 몽콕야시장보다 훨씬 싸게 팔더라구요(물론 가격은 깍기 나름이지만요^^)
그리고 입구옆에 아이스크림 디저트 파는 가게가 있는데 맛도 정말 맛있었어요
다음에 또 혼자간다면 또 이용하고 싶네요 가격대비 강추합니다~~

大致上都很好，只有噪音是最大的問題

樓下晚上餐廳的叫賣和聊天聲太大了，即使關上窗戶都還是會聽到，是這旅店唯一美中不足的地方，應該可改裝隔音窗解決。至於位置、價格及清潔度上都還不錯，不在意吵雜聲的人還是可以來住。

靠近地鐵的小旅館

香港地價貴所以空間真的非常小，兩個行李箱不能同時打開，床感覺是單人床加大而不是雙人床，但飯店員工人熱情，整體來說算是愉悅的體驗

位置優，離地鐵近，附近商圈多

離佐敦站A出口走路只要3分鐘，附近有很多吃的，可以安排一天晚上逛附近的街道。房間整理而言蠻舒適，服務人員態度也相當好，CP值非常高。

進地鐵，機能好的飯店

入住單人房，離佐敦站A出口很近，有名的佳佳甜品、翠華餐廳、澳洲牛奶公司、麥文記等店家都在附近，雖然房間地板不是太乾淨，但一分錢一分貨，可以接受，前台阿姨很熱情，旅遊上有問題也可以請教他，整體來講是個不錯的選擇！

地點絕佳

就在廟街隔壁，離佐敦站也超近，晚上很多大排檔，但可能會較吵，房間太迷你，設備較陳舊，但清潔尚可，附近有兩家超有名的生滾粥，每天早餐我都是吃粥，超滿足

想省錢.不介意吸血蟲.房間行李無法攤平的可考慮

缺點:
房間超級小.(最大平面積是床...)
29行李無法攤平.
牆上插座已故障(燒毀)沒電.
冷氣會冷但很吵.
樓下是海產店.半夜都很吵

最大缺點居然有吸血蟲!!!~還被咬!(有血~)

優點:
櫃台男生很客氣~介紹好吃好玩~附近樓下都很多吃的~離地鐵近~機場A22巴士方便

One of my best stay in Hong Kong

The rooms are clean . Staffs are friendly , helpful and they try their best to fulfill customers needs and request . Definitely One of my best stay in Hong Kong The room are very unique and each room have their own design . It is very interesting and comfortable for us .

交通及生活機能方便

離兩家牛奶公司及佐敦站蠻近的，
樓下就是大排檔，
晚上會有機器運作聲外，
環境上大致還好，
旅館有飲水機、微波爐及冰箱可借用，
櫃台人員很熱心及服務好!
房間挺小的，
身高超過160cm需考慮是否入住
可放置一個29吋行李箱。

Clean, good location and nice staff

Clean at all , towels and trashing changing everyday . They will change the bed sheet if you ask .Good location and nice staff . They are recommend the good place for dim sum . I will come back next time.

ホテルの中は綺麗ですが。。。

ホテルに入る入り口が施錠されていて分かりずらくて、他の人が出入りする時に一緒に入りました。
事前にホテルから案内メールが来ていたので、ホテルの場所は分かりましたが。。。
ホテルの中は綺麗でしたので、旅慣れた人はお勧めです。
