When we first checked in, we were given a room on the first floor. It was dark, dingy and smelled like stale smoke from the 80s. When I asked to switch rooms I was told there were no other rooms available and was offered air freshner. When I tried to cancel, they offered me a \"suite\" which was just a basic room. Unless you're looking for very cheap basic accomodation, I would not stay here.

This hotel is near shopping and restaurants, that's about it as far as highlights. The property is an older hotel that could benefit from a renovation.

The staff were very nice and welcoming. The room was dated, the carpets were worn and slightly stained. The room was fairly clean.

I usually wipe down rooms when I arrive. The toilet seat was clean as well as the outside of the bowl. While wiping the outside of the bowl I noted under the room of the bowl was very dirty and mildewed. I also noted a few hairs in the shower.

The worst part of the hotel was the shower. The water pressure is non existent. I had to take a shower 3 times longer than I normally take because it took so long to wash the soap from my body.

Also the shower was very slippery after it was wet with soap and water. Make sure to use the handle bar on the shower otherwise you may slip and fall.

This hotel would be just ok if it were not so expensive. For the price I paid (well over $350), I w expected a much better room.

I didn't eat the free breakfast, but my wife and daughter said it was very good. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, pancakes and assorted breads and pastries.

I will not say here again, not worth the price.

Elevator was broken. Room was dated. Bed uncomfortable. Breakfast awful - premade and reheated food. Very expensive for what we got. Will never return. I’m not a princess but for +$300 a night I would expect a 5* place - in Fergus of all places. Way too expensive.

This is the 1st hotel that I have stayed in where you have to pay for a crib. We don’t pay for our beds, why do we have to pay for a bed for a baby?

The shower does not have much water pressure.

There was little to none water pressure in the shower. The parking lot was all torn up and full of potholes the plants outside of the hotel were dead. The benches could definitely use a paint job or replaced completely would not recommend staying there.

We tried to book the hotel in Elora but they were full so we picked Fergus since it's only 15 mins drive to get to Elora. The hotel looks old in the exterior but looks pretty new in the interior including the room. Everything looks good, except the bathtub needs more attention.

One of us didn't have warm water during their shower. Front desk was called multiple times in attempt to remediate the situation. When we finally got a hold of someone we were told that they needed to reset their computer and turn on the warm water function to our room. We felt that was ludicrous as we never experienced this before and we hope this wasn't an intentional incident. Perhaps this was a just an unfortunate situation but its enough to steer us away from this hotel.

Stayed one night for business it's a basic Hotel nothing special but clean and bed was comfortable. However I worked overnight and checked into the hotel at 7:30 a.m. I just wanted to sleep for a few hours before I had to check out at 11:00 a.m. the two ladies at the front desk clearly didn't know what they were doing. they had me waiting there for almost 8 minutes trying to check me in something that should have been 2 minutes. They scanned my driver's license and kept telling me to put in my account number for my credit card for the incidenta. I said no you mean my PIN number she says no your account number it almost felt like a scam. I would stay there again but Best Western needs to train their staff and not have someone not capable of operating the front desk.

If you're looking for a dirty, smelly hotel room this is the place for you! We walked into our room and were immediately greeted with musty air, dirty carpets, stains all over the floor, yellow curtains that were once white, and hair in the bathroom… ew! Wish I could attach pics to this to show you but I can’t :(

Expedia tried to get a refund for this disastrous stay and the hotel refused/was not accommodating at all. I'd rate it a 0/5 if I could! Please avoid this place at all costs, I DO NOT recommend at all!

Bugs, Blood, and No Water Pressure

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing and honestly, disgusting. There was blood on the pillowcase and in the bed. There was such little water pressure for the shower that rinsing shampoo and conditioner out of your hair was next to impossible. Killed a giant centipede right before getting into bed. Got into the bed and noticed a spider on the ceiling above our bed that we had to kill as well. We were extremely grossed out.

I found the female staff member at the check in desk was abrupt and unfriendly. She did not explain what facilities were available on the property it was almost I was made to feel that I was beneath her. When my husband and I entered the room there were limited items such as one towel for 2 guests ? limited tissue and toilet paper where again my husband had to return to the front desk to ask for more. I have travelled a lot for business and never experienced this type of service from a hotel! Especially the money spent to have this type of service! Also the Continental breakfast was cold and limited selection I refuse to return to this hotel for future business trips.

First, this property is not located 5 km from the conservation area, but 10 km. I booked through Expedia for two adults and two kids (11 and 12 years old). Upon arrival, there was only one king bed. The reception said there was no information about the kids in the reservation, and I had to pay $20 extra to have the kids. They brought a bed for my son, and the next morning, when I showed the booking confirmation for 4 people, they said I should have used the sofa bed and assembled it myself and that I was going to be charged for the extra bed, which I did not ask for. The reception and manager were rude and defensive, refusing to take responsibility. They only waived the $20 fee after a long discussion. Additionally, the shower's hot water faucet was twisted, preventing the hot water from turning on. The receptionist couldn't identify the problem, which was just a misplaced blue/red dot. They offered to move me to a room next to the reception which was very noisy. Fortunately, I figured out the faucet issue myself and stayed in my room. They never apologized for any of the inconvenience and blamed on me for \"creating a problem where there wasn't\".

My son and I were on a 5-day bike tour in the area and stayed here for a night. After paying, we were told that we couldn't take our bikes to our rooms. I have traveled with bikes all over the world and this was the first hotel that didn't allow this. The bikes were not wet or muddy, but we were told we could leave our bikes in a room next to the office. This was completely inconvenient and unnecessary and they couldn't provide a reasonable explanation of why we couldn't take our bikes up. I even offered for them to keep the $150 security deposit if they were worried about cleanliness (isn't that what it's for?). In the end, we left our bikes downstairs but I was anxious all night so it made for a not very relaxing stay. Why would a hotel take on the liability of thousands of dollars of bikes, plus treat a guest inhospitably in the process? Just bad business sense. There is nothing in their policies about taking bikes to rooms, plus the rooms were very outdated with carpet stains and stains on the bed skirts, so I'm confused with their choices. Not a very welcoming place.

Bathroom faucet held in place by silicone caulking. Water pressure in shower was abysmal. No hot chocolate mix for non coffee drinkers. Wet bath towel taken out of bathroom left on freshly made bed and not replaced with a clean one in the bathroom.

Another hotel opting for individual room heater/ac units with loud compressors that burst on all too frequently through the night, robbing the occupants of any chance at unbroken sleep.

Also, bedding was half-size duvets, no sheet and blanket option. Hate that!

We had some ants in our shower, and despite my attempts to wash them away, they kept returning. Additionally, when we checked in, we found that the door handle in our room was not working, so we had to switch to another room. Unfortunately, there were no Ubers available in the area, but the hotel staff kindly called us a cab. As a result, we were late for the wedding we were attending. I have video footage of the ants in our room if it is required for reference. Despite these issues, the hotel itself is nice, It was just unfortunate that our stay was marred by these problems, especially since we had travelled so far and were still late due to the door situation. and luckily we did not bring our baby because then that would have been even worse with the ant infestation.
