This was a hidden treasure. The inn had a cozy vibe and the staff were very friendly! The room was comfortable, clean and well lit. The fireplace was a pleasant surprise and gave the space extra character. I loved the sunken bathroom and the heating helped keep the tiles warm. I love how they promote local sourcing of food and farmers! Would definitely stay again. My only feedback would be to have towel racks in the bathroom but other than that it was an excellent stay!

Everyone room is unique. The check-in experience was very unique with the worker pouring Prosecco for us and showing us our room.

Samantha, our waiter for breakfast, greet us warmly and explain the menu fully. She even showed us another part of the building where there is a pub.

The staff were immediately friendly and attending, a glass of prosecco while checking in and showing us to our room.
The room was spacious and had everything we could need. Bed was very comfortable and the rooms must be soundproof because we heard nothing from outside.
The best thing was the included breakfast, it’s a real breakfast not walk up and serve yourself some oats and yoghurt.

The Breadalbane Inn was a super quaint and lovely inn full of character and charm. We were headed over to an early afternoon wedding so we asked if we could check in early and they were super accommodating and kind (complete with a complimentary glass of prosecco!) Our room was small but cozy and bright. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying for a weekend or even just one night!

The staff were very nice especially in the restaurant and the food was good. The room was not as expected for the expense. The bathroom only had a door in the opening with no wall on top, by design, I guess. The toilet seat was loose. The makeup mirror was loose and would not stay vertical to be useful. The window sills need cleaning of black mildew. We thought it was going to be a quaint stay at a boutique hotel, but it has lost it’s charm. We had to go outside to get to our room.

From the moment of arrival the staff were so friendly and accommodating to ensure we were looked after, even keeping the restaurant open just a bit late to allow us to squeeze in a meal. The compact and historic property contains a pleasant pub and separate restaurant and about 11 boutique and cozy rooms. The complimentary breakfast was very high quality also. Overall an absolute treat finding this gem in Fergus.

This quaint little hotel was adorable! If you’re looking for something that gives a historic/museum vibe then this is the place for you! We stayed for two nights in the Tippen room. I wish that it was made known to us prior to the reservation that the room was actually in another building that required many stairs and walking outside to get to it. It was fine for us but could be an issue accessibility wise. Rooms were clean, plenty of towels, shower things and included a bottle of water in the fridge.

The food at the restaurant Scozia was outstanding. Seriously one of the best steaks I’ve had. The calamari and beet salad are also delicious! We went to the pub on the second night to have the nachos and calamari and it was also good.

They do include breakfast with hour stay, which you pre order the day before. The only downfall is that only one of the options include eggs (egg bite) and you can’t change your mind if you’re feeling something different the next day. The egg bite option is probably also the biggest portion whereas the rest are a bit of a lighter breakfast option.

Lastly, the people who work at this hotel are absolutely amazing. Everyone was very polite, welcoming and had great customer service.

If you’re looking to explore Fergus or even go to Elora (8 min drive) it’s a great affordable option compared to the others in the area.

Staff were awesome however room was the smallest I had ever rented. Room enough for a bed and a washroom. No closet and no space for suit cases.

The parking lot walkway and stairs were no cleared of snow upon arrival, evening and following morning.

TV would not work and it was the smallest TV you can buy.

The bathroom was a pedestal sink with no counter for toiletries.

The water from the shower smelt like bleach.

Difficult to control the heat.

No blackout curtain and the outside lights were very bright. The curtain on the window would not close fully either.

Sorry to provide so many negatives however no value for money at this place. Very disappointed as the pics on the website are very deceiving.

They do not have enough staff. No one answered our phone calls in the weeks before we arrived after we booked.The breakfast staff was helpful and pleasant though. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable, but the rugs were bare, worn, and a bit unsafe where they had permanent roles in them from overuse.The bathroom did not have adequate space for toiletries and the towels were thin and seemed old. Steps leading down to the bathroom from the main level had a shakey banister. The heating system worked, but was convoluted, with the thermostat hidden from view by the tv screen. It was described as a luxury room and maybe one day it was, but presently it just seemed old. It was not luxury level at all. We did not bring our passwords for tv and could only get into You Tube, not even local stations. We would never go back and never recommend it until renovations occurred.

This B&B is charming. It is an old house, though, so keep that in mind. Floors squeak, and there are no closets in the two rooms that I saw.
My bathroom was desperate for an update, while my companion's room appeared to have a new bathroom. Neither had much shelf space.
Staff were lovely. Being offered a glass of VQA sparkling wine upon arrival is a very nice touch. (Note to the property: it is not Prosecco). Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

This B&B is very cute and chic. I stayed in the master suite. It was a very comfortable room with an interesting history. However, the bed made a loud creaking sound even if I moved my arm around and I was unable to sleep because of it. The issue was addressed by the staff and I was shifted to the harriet suite. This room was definitely more comfortable but the hot tub did not have hot water. Overall, a good experience and I would stay here again if I am in the area.

Very unhappy with the room. The air is extremely warm. We were told there was central A/C. If that is the case, it does not work effectively. Additionally, there is no refrigerator in the room so you can’t have a cold drink to cool down. It is Impossible to sleep. I do not recommend this hotel for summer stays.

This beautiful boutique hotel in beautiful downtown Fergus is a rare gem. It's located on an old stone house, with all the character associated with one, high ceilings, stunning woodwork, original stone walls in bedrooms. We were greeted with a welcome Prosecco and shown to our room. It was extremely clean and well stocked with amenities. We ate in the Ferguson Pub and fish & chips and Reuben sandwich were excellent. Breakfast is included and you chose what you want at check-in and we ate outside in the lovely conservatory. Parking right beside the hotel. I would highly recommend and the staff were all so pleasant and friendly.

Unfortunately our anniversary night out was ruined. We waited for over 2 hours for food from the pub. It was not busy! The fire alarm battery beeper went off at 3:30am and continued to beep for almost 2 hours. Despite reaching out to the staff, nothing was done about it. Then, the breakfast that was included, was unable to be served so we had to go out for breakfast at our own cost. Overall, a very poor experience for the price point.

This Inn was packed full of old world charm. They offer period inspired decor with modern amenities. The room came with a delicious breakfast served in a sunny solarium.
