The place has junked cars in the parking lot, cots stored in the hallways, and the carpets are musty. Sadly very run down. We cancelled our reservation. The owners agreed to a 50% cancellation fee but have since gone silent. Don’t how they get positive reviews of this property. Stay away from

The perfect small town home away from home, and so many wonderful places to check out nearby. The place was thoughtfully decorated, the bed was comfortable, the two nights sleep were incredibly peaceful. Both breakfasts, eggs Benny sandwich on croissant and French toast, were homemade and super fresh. They tasted gourmet and so perfectly seasoned. Kimmie and James were perfect hosts. We almost didn't want to check out our final morning. Can't wait for our next stay.

The Rose room was well appointed and looked recently renovated.
Kimmie was an excellent host (and her partner) and made sure we had everything we needed.
Breakfast was delicious and she was kind enough to have it ready a bit earlier than for the other guests.

The Sage Room was a very comfortable and clean room. The electric fireplace was cozy, and we appreciated the TV had access to all the streaming services. The breakfast was a delicious open-faced breakfast sandwich with a toasted croissant, crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato with a fried egg and hollandaise sauce. The homemade strawberry compote on top of plain yogurt was a delicious finish. The coffee was good, but it would have been better if it was hotter.

We paid for the executive suite which ended up having a hole in the roof so we were given a much lesser room and NO refund for the difference. I was shocked at the property after ready the reviews of 10/10 and I wouldn’t have given this place a 4/10. rotting pumpkins on the front porch, junk all over the yard, weeds growing over abandoned cars in the parking lot and a breakfast that was tasteless and chintzy, even greasy dirty fingerprints on the sugar bowls.

It's a really cool old building that has modern upgrades in the rooms. The room was comfortable and the best part about the stay was the delicious breakfast! My husband and I stayed here together with two other couples as we were visiting Elora (about 20 minutes away) for an autumn weekend. We had a wonderful night's sleep in the Rose Room thanks to the quiet surroundings and soft bedding. The gas fireplace added a cozy touch. Our breakfast sandwich and yogurt with strawberries was the perfect amount to get us back on the road. Excellent French press coffee too! And...we loved playing with Chester the dog too!

Kimmie is the owner. She has worked hard to maintain the B and B keeping the place neat and comfortable the rooms clean the setting pleasant. As mentioned by the other reviewers the breakfast is awesome. This is almost a 200-year-old house predating the country of Canada. We came to enjoy the venue and we're not surprised. Give me is working to improve the house and my suspicion is over time it'll be even more impressive

We really enjoyed our stay at the Maryhill Inn. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are very comfy. We wished we could have stayed longer to make use of the in-room bathtub or outdoor hot tub. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed being greeted by charming Chester the dog. The hosts were lovely and we enjoyed chatting with them. An Absolutely Wonderful stay

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Maryhill Inn. My husband and I absolutely loved it. We booked the cottage room which was cosy and beautifully decorated. But the best part of our stay was our Hostess Kimmie, James and Chester. From the moment you stepped threw the front door we were made to feel right at home. Kimmie is naturally warm hostess who wants to ensure her guests are comfortable. Her breakfasts are out of this world and are accompanied with freshly pressed coffee so you start you day off in the best pissible way! I would recommend staying at the Maryhill Inn to anyone and we are looking forward to our next visit!

The Maryhill Inn was such a charming home base for a special getaway with my partner. A beautiful, historic building on a lovingly maintained property at the crossroads of the Guelph/Waterloo area.

We had so many memorable adventures over our weekend stay here, both in the surrounding area and at the Inn itself. Our room was full of personality and felt like a place to call home at the end of a long day.

The owners are such kind people. They were flexible with check-in time so that I could prepare an elaborate surprise for my partner's arrival. They made us feel like family staying over and were always available if we needed anything. They are also explicitly 2SLGBTQ+ friendly!!

We stayed at the Maryhill Inn as an affordable option to enjoying a weekend in the stunning town of Elora and we would absolutely do it again!

This was the first time I brought my dog to a resort it was very accommodating, I am glad to see more places being pet friendly. The outside was great they had a big sitting area and hot tub. The rooms were clean and the perfect size. The breakfast they served was so good with the right portions.The hosts were great and insightful on places to go in the area if you are wanting to do something else while you are there. We visited Cox winery which is close and had a great time. I would strongly recommend Mary Hill Inn, if you are need somewhere to stay. Thanks

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The Inn itself is full of charm with it's old style exterior and modern rooms. The hosts were very pleasant and friendly (especially Chester, their mascot). We had an amazing sleep because the comfy bed and cool room temperature were a perfect combination for inducing a restful sleep. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very quiet. Until breakfast we thought we were the only guests there! Speaking of breakfast, we had french toast with a strawberry maple compote with bacon. I'd come back just for the breakfast alone! This was the perfect stay for our weekend adventure in Elora. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful, quaint, quiet, unique bed and breakfast with friendly hosts, and the sweetest little dog, Chester. The rooms were clean and quiet. Lovely bed, clean sheets, clean bathroom, lots of snacks available and the Breakfast was delightful. The french toast was the best i have had ever at a restaurant. What a gem! We received a warm welcome from Kimmie and James (and dog Chester) and we stayed in an absolutely first-class room (the Studio Suite, which we recommend highly). We really enjoyed the beautiful patio at the rear of the property with it's comfortable wrap-around sofas and lighting effects. A great spot for a glass of wine and a martini. We especially enjoyed this B & B's pet friendly policy and treated our little lady to her doggie vacation.

Cute house from 1800s. It is in nice shape and has interesting style features. We seemed to have had a mixup on rooms (reserved Sage Room and host thought we had Rose Room, but needed to gave us Blue Room since Rose Room had an issue). I didn’t push it. The Blue room was nice, just not the room I chose. The Blue room has slanted ceilings etc and the shower was really small. It does have a nice soaker tub but too much furniture (2 chairs and table in short part of room) to our liking. The breakfast was very good and Kim was very nice and was helpful. The town is quiet and a very nice contrast to Toronto, etc.

Add was stating no concierge on site. No explanation how to get there. Phone call was returned a day after still not clear how to check in. Host was on site. But it was nerve breaking driving without knowing if any one will be there to check us in. Hotel said dog friendly. Carpet in a very small room made us to keep dog in a car in a create overnight. Our stay at Maryhill was wonderful. We were greeted by our host and his sidekick Chester. We were shown around, and then to our room. We stayed in the Cottage Room. It was extremely clean and cozy. We enjoyed some Netflix with warm cozy blankets to finish off our evening. In the mornings we woke to the smell of bacon. Our hostess prepared us a delicious breakfast of homemade blueberry french toast, with amazing french press coffee. The Inn was a perfect place to relax and cuddle. Our hosts were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. We plan to visit again bext time we are in the area.

The included breakfast was delicious (bacon, eggs, toast, yogurt with a yummy nut topping, and a wonderful pot of tea). Our host and hostess were excellent and we enjoyed our conversations with them. We stayed while visiting Guelph briefly for a concert at the River Run Centre.

This was our first stay at the Inn. Checkin wasn’t smooth as we arrived. Went to front door of inn and knocked and waited. Finally a small white dog appeared at the window so we waited some more. It was cold and wasn’t intuitive that we were at the correct entrance. Our room was fine but extremely warm - stuffy. No convenient areas to plug in devices for charging, no bedside lamps to read from or turn on/off from the bed, bathroom was old and towel bars,toilet tissue holder, shower rod, were all loose and unsteady. Breakfast in the morning was one option and made for each couple staying. All four couples arrived at breakfast at same
Time and all had to wait for each couples breakfast (French toast, bacon ) to be prepared before theirs was then made. Very in efficient way to serve. No juice offered only coffee (tea was offer D to one coule as they didn’t take coffee was wasn’t readily available. Also the dog was present while eating in the dining room and floor was fully carpeted which leads to a feeling of not clean. Was fine for a night but will not stay again nor recommend.
