Royal Inn Concert Stay

The Hotel/Motel facility was exactly what we expected it to be for the price and location. It was only for one night, so we made the best of it. It was old and outdated, but we wasn't surprised. This hotel still uses keys. no extras like ironing boards or irons. The only thing that we had a problem with was that the room had knats everywhere. And it had a huge hole in the ceiling over the bath tub. Thank God that it wasn't anymore bugs. But the knats took over, but around maybe 1am, we didn't see anymore, but by 9am, all of them gave back. Luckily it was time to checkout.

The staff were nice. The venue was so-so: the furniture was old but clean, and the room had the requisite clean bed, shower, coffee pot, etc. Oddly, there was no phone in the room but that's not a big thing these days. Only real complaint: the bed was really uncomfortable.

The room was really clean but i think the no fridge thing is some money saving bs. Covid 19 ? U have access to soap and water in your foom to wash your hands after touching the fridge door which is better than the hand sanitizer provided when touching those machines that 1000's of people touch everyday.Other than that the stay was awesome.

The air conditioning barely cooled in the first run we were assigned. The dead bolt lock would not work at all. They assigned us to another room. The air conditioning in that room did not work at all. There only option was to go back to the first room. Needless to say... We burnt up all night.

I cancelled the booking less than 24 hours after I made it and received an email that I would not be charged sine I booked and cancelled a week in advance and then on the day it was originally reserved was charged for the rooms!! I called Expedia and the hotel and was hung up on by both of them. I am now waiting to get this resolved through my bank.

I will say nothing was \"wrong\" at this hotel. It is exactly what you would expect for a bottom dollar, need a bed, gotta stay somewhere kind of place. I do not recommend it, but I would not tell anyone NOT to go there. I was just fine for the inexpensive price I paid. The staff was nice and willing to chat/help/offer service. Room felt secure, our items were not \"messed\" with, and the shower water was hot! That is exactly what I wanted, and did not have to pay much. Sometimes, I just want a bed for cheap, this is it.

Most uncomfortable beds ive ever slept in, room was not very clean, ask to pay for upgrade to a king room was denied, barking dogs next room, although wasn't intolerable, had 4 deep scratches on leg,armand side from the springs in mattresses, ants everywhere, bed covers smelled unwashed had to purchase our own, deadbolts didn't work, and to top it off got food poisoning from checkers i was sick throwing up all weekend never got to leave room until checkout on Sunday so honestly the worst trip I ever had in my life will not reccomend this hotel or the area for that matter to anyone not even my worst enemy!!!!! O and the table was broken lamps didn't work!!!!

So to start off I had to wait 15 minutes for the man to check me in then he charged me twice on my card then told me that he didn't know when the money would be back on my card but it would eventually be on there I get to the room the heater does not work and it was only 32 degrees today I simply asked him if I could exchange my room and he got very rude and said what was so wrong with the room can you not go without heat after he exchanged me twice because they toilet was messed up in my other room we finally get in a room that is decent but the beds were horrible we ended up making pallets that slept better than the beds this was the worst experience of my life going to a hotel it also States that they have breakfast included water down coffee and very old cornflakes is not a breakfast to me this was the only thing that they had to offer I would never advise anyone to ever go to this hotel

The site said there were no pets allowed and we witnessed 3 guests with dogs and the people running the place had at least one dog barking in the back office the man had to go in a tell to be quiet. I am an animal lover and I have a couple animals myself, but this is something that would be great to know if you have allergies , etc.
The carpets and the loveseat in the room were stained and sticky and overall disgusting.
Also, when I booked the room, the site said there weren’t any smoking rooms available, therefore we booked a non smoking room and simply stepped outside to smoke. So upon CHECK OUT, the lady at the front desk threatened to charge us $50 because we were smoking OUTSIDE and it was possible the room would smell like smoke because of our belongings, NOT because we smoked in the room! I have stayed a lot of hotels in my life and I’ve never heard of such a thing nor was this written anywhere as being a rule! She was absolutely rude and I would NOT recommend this dump to anyone!

This was the worst place I've ever stayed at. It really needs a building inspector to visit this establishment. There's cigarette holes i. Bed spreads. Stains in all the linens and towels. It really surprised me they could rent this out. The heating unit was making such a noise we couldn't rest and i had to unplug it. The next morning I requested a new room. Not much better.

The room stunk terrible both days the carpet was filthy, for a nonsmoking room it had burn spots on different spots in the bathroom. Air conditioner quit in the middle of the night. They had screens on windows torn off. They said it was last room left in that motel but there were 4 cars in the whole place. For 216 dollars Ripoff. Next time go to priceline. The beds terrible also. Mattress kept sliding off. These 3 old people dont need the stress.

The room was in a ridiculous state of disrepair. The fire alarm was missing from the wall and wires exposed. There was a hole in the bathroom wall. The sheets, comforter, blanket, pillow cases, towels, loveseat, walls, carpet, and ceiling were stained. The parking lot had piles of broken bricks and cinder blocks, which was odd. The tv was excellent, both in content (Directv) and the way it was mounted in the room. The outside of the entire property was also very well lit at night.

The room was very old looking and hadn’t been updated in decades. But the true surprise was when we tried to deadbolt the door before going to bed and discovered it wouldn’t lock. Went to the desk where the owner informed us if we’d said something earlier, she could’ve changed rooms but at this point, we had no alternatives. She knew several deadbolts didn’t work, but wasn’t concerned about fixing them. I’ll never stay there again.

It was a great stay. Just so not expect 5 star quality. It's a really clean spot to crash. We stayed 2 nights. It was quiet. It was clean. They dont have expensive sheets and towels but they are clean. Breakfast is continental. They are a motel so entrance and exit is outside. They need some cosmetic TLC to the rooms but it really is clean. The front desk folks are very pleasant. I would stay here again. Especially if, for some reason, the casino hotels are overpriced for the weekend. At least here, there is no resort fee and they are about 10 mins from the Casinos. Oh, at first I swore the bed was going to be a horrible sleeping experience. Nope, we slept like a pair of newborn babies. It had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. If that matters. Oh and you know how if you buy water or soda pops at a hotel its darn near $3 bucks??? Here, only ONE dollar. I bought 4 bottled waters LOL just because.

But yeah. This place is waaaaay different than what I am used to. I usually stay at more expensive \"hotels\" but, everything was overpriced unnecessarily this weekend for some reason. I just refused to indulge in that. It was a last minute visit to Mississippi. The price here was excellent and I like being the Guinea pig for places as long as there are no bugs. There were NO bugs.😊

This hotel should be remodeled and cleaned up. The bathroom floor was filthy, spider and web in corner, towel rack broken, bed was bouncy and too high almost fell out of it getting in, no safety lock on door, barbed wire around perimeter of hotel and all around just a horrible hotel. Staff was nice but obviously a family lives there and runs it on a bare minimum budget. Luckily we we're going to the casinos and only spent about 8 hours sleeping in the room. Will never stay there again save your money and go somewhere else. All in all this hotel was scary.

Everything was great ! The staff were professional and very polite. The outside and inside were clean. The outside is well lit, and very quiet. The room smelled fresh and it was clean. I enjoyed the patio area .We had a bbq with the grills that were provided by the hotel. That's our place to stay whenever we visit. I highly recommend this hotel.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is old and outdated. It's over 8 miles from any of the casinos, which is a distance compared to all the other hotels. The room was dirty, there was or a on the hotel and in the floor. Dead bugs and flies everywhere. The empty shampoo bottles from the previous tenant were still in the shower. My parents room, their a/c wouldn't get cold in June. But the area was quiet and the beds were comfortable for one night.

Price shouldn't always be a consideration

The room was clean so that part was ok. But the overall condition of the property was seriously lacking. Listed as having a pool, but its filled in partially with dirt and weeds. The nack area of the office is missing support columns, so the roof was sagging as well as a dryer pipe sticking out in the back courtyard. Driveway was more pothole than solid surface to drive over.

Farther away from the casinos than I thought, because the hotel is almost to the town of Tunica. I had a good rate on hotels.com, but when I asked to change the room type, another 50% was added to the price. Also, the pool had grass growing in it, so I wouldn't expect it is usable in the summer.

WORST place I've ever stayed! WOKE UP WITH BUMPS!!

I have never stayed in a motel before and this will be the only time. We only stayed in this dump because it was the only place available nearby after an impromptu trip to the casinos.

The wallpaper is peeling off the walls in the room.
There was a hole/gap at the bottom of the door where it's just open straight to the outside.
The couch in the room was filthy. Dark dirty greasy spots on the seat, back & arms. White crusty (I'm assuming) sex stains on it as well.
The room was so dirty we laid tissues and our dirty clothes on the floor in a path for us to walk on so we wouldn't have to touch the floor without shoes.
The fridge and microwave were filthy with smudges and marks all over them.
It was a non smoking room yet there was an ashtray in there and our towels and washcloths smelled like cigarette smoke. One of the towels had brown stains on it. We laid it down on the floor to walk on.
Looked at the pillows inside the pillowcase, they were yellow and stained like they had been drooled on for years.
Could see that the mattress was ripped through the thin, stained sheet.
Toilet seat had cigarette burn holes on it. Toilet paper was cheap 1-ply.
Nonslip bath mat had black mold on it.
WORST OF ALL: we got the room & took a 3 hour nap after leaving the casino. I woke up itchy & my stomach and back were mysteriously covered in 100s of tiny bumps. I have no idea what they are and now that I'm back home I have to go to the doctor about it. I suspect they are bites.

This place looked scary when we drove up, it looked condemned. There is a chain link fence around most of the facility, which was to keep people out. The pool up front had junk all around and was filled with grass and junk. The parking lot has grass growing up all over it. I wanted to turn around and leave forfeiting the money prepaid. My husband convinced me to look at the room. It was clean, didn't smell and so we stayed since we got there late. I personally would not stay there again. They need to overhaul the whole place, colorful orange and olive green painted walls is not enough of a remodel. Oh and the bed, it was extremely high since they put the bed skirt over the box springs and a top mattress and then had a 3rd mattress on top! Good thing we could climb up! It was ok for comfort but we slept on the opposite end of the bed so we didn't have blood rushing to our heads, lol. We went into town to buy some bottled water, not a destination place. It was 9 miles from the casinos.

Made a non-refundable reservation by phone because everything was booked in the area. Drove up to the scariest motel I've ever seen. Forfeited my payment and drove 1 more hour to find a hotel that I could stay in. I have never had to do this with hotels.com or any hotel for that reason.

The bed was comfortable enough, although a little too soft for me.
The TV remote would not turn the TV on or off, but all the other buttons worked.
The toilet looked like it had been bought from a kindergarten - too low to the ground and the seat was way too small for an adult butt.
It was a quiet location, and was very convenient to the arena where this weekend's rodeo was being held.
