Overall stay was just okay. Rooms were dated, carpets were pretty unclean - would feel sticky in places when you are barefoot, ac/ fan in the room was just okay too. Worst lighting we have ever experienced in a hotel room- very low lighting. No safety deposit boxes in the rooms anymore. Not sure when they got rid of those. Corridors and elevators were pretty dated.
Front desk staff were good- pretty welcoming. Breakfast had a decent selection. Restaurant was well maintained. Would choose a newer property for our next stay.

My only concern was the plug in the bathroom was loose so my hair blow dryer wouldn’t stay plugged in. Room 467.

Staff seemed indifferent to help. Parking was extra ($12) and a far walk from the hotel. The breakfast was extra and expensive. The rooms were unusually small for an supposed better hotel. And because the rooms were small the washrooms were also small. The elevators felt like they were going to breakdown any time. Not enough trolleys for size of hotel. Staff never knew where trolleys were. Badly designed hotel.

Room was quiet and very clean! Absolutely loved the bed, it was so fluffy and comforting! Staff the most pleasant you will find anywhere, especially those in the breakfast room! Buffet breakfast is awesome as well, with many different choices as well as an omelet station. Cannot say enough about this place! I saw groups of very happy youngsters as well, going to and from the pool. There's also a fitness room and a spa, pretty much anything you could think of.

Buffet breakfast was great, many choices including order-to-make crepes and omelettes.
We found the pillows head and high for us; so we asked for bath towels to make pillows (as the staff replied that the hotel didn't have any flatter pillows). However, we called the receptionist in the morning to ask for bath towels, toilet roll, conditioner. We only received a delivery in the evening :( after I had to call again.
Staff wasn't helpful much when we asked simple questions (which TV channel has World Cup soccer games, the name of a laundromat near by....).
At the end, we were still happy with our stay! Thanks.

The lobby and restaurant are brand new but as soon as you look on any other floor it’s really just outdated. It was clean enough though. Our balcony looked onto the rooftop which had a pile of gravel and several skylight windows over the pool under tarp. Our screen on the door was entirely ripped on the bottom. The shower was good, although it’s only a half glass door, so the floor gets wet outside. Again, not a big deal just noticeable. In the basement there is 2 lanes of bowling, a version of a mini putt and a small arcade where only half the machines work. You must pay to use every thing. It’s a free for all down there otherwise. When I arrived there were already 3 cars parking in front to check in, and so I had to wait on the street hoping traffic would go around and not hit me. It’s not ideal at all. Staff was friendly. Bed was good. For not having a free breakfast, I don’t think I would choose again- although the price was right.

I would say that our stay was just ok. The room was clean enough but very basic. Pool had thick brown film all along the inside where the water met the white tiles and no towels stocked until we were already leaving. the sauna was not available, had pad lock on it.The gym is not properly maintained and lots of equipment out of service. We didn't mind the old equipment but many had out of order signs.
The bowling was out of order with a broken floor, most of the arcade was out of order. The breakfast buffet had nobody working at the crepe station all morning, it was also on the same floor as the pool so you get a mix of chlorine odor with your breakfast. When we sat down for breakfast, the server went to get our coffee and then told us we could leave to get get our food... but when we came back with our plates our table had been taken, she never told that person to move and we had to find somewhere else to sit.

Overall I only booked this hotel because of the proximity to downtown and it was below our expectations. Very dated, not well cared for to have the name of \"Crowne plaza\".

Was a busy weekend there. AC was fine. Staff great. Garage was in another building. A bit of a walk. For more challenged folks looking for accessibility ramps would be iffy. Parking extra. Not much though. Location is very good.

my room got flooded in the washroom and half of my bed. the water is dripping from the ceiling and all over the place in my bath room and half of my bed. I asked the hotel to refund the money and they couldn't do anything. it is a really very bad experience.

The property is located in the heart of downtown Kitchener and this is a plus and includes paid on site parking. Restaurants like The Bauer Kitchen and Darlise Cafe nearby and they were great spots. Park nearby also a plus. The Aqua Restaurant in the hotel had a great buffet breakfast where you can order fresh made eggs. I used the spa for Indian head massage and enjoyed the treatment. However the rooms need a facelift. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise in the area where we were however the bathroom was tight, took time for water to become hot and the furnishings were outdated on our 4th floor unit. Also we had no control over the temperature in the room…tried to put some heat on but got air conditioning instead.

The hotel is not in a great area of town. It is run-down and not well maintained. I arrived at midnight after a 5hr drive and was told by the security guard that I needed to wait 15min for the front desk person to \"finish his reports\" before he comes up to check me in. I was livid, and told him he better come up now. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Mattresses were horrible (super soft/slouching) and caused me basevere back pain, bedroom had almost no window, and the one small window did not close properly. The room was therefore very noisy too. The swimming pool is small and dedicated to kids, no adult there and many many kids. Not the experience I was hoping for considering the price. The entire hotel also was smelling of bleach from the pool and I carried the smell back home in my luggage.

Breakfast wasn’t included, parking was extra, and not easily accessible. It was across an alley and up and down two flights of stairs with no elevator. The thermostat in our room was broken and the room was freezing. Tried to call the front desk many times without getting an answer. Finally, spoke to the front desk in person and they gave an excuse about how it’s two sections of the building and didn’t find a solution. Also, there are no change rooms or washroom anywhere near the pool, so patrons are obviously not showering before entering. And to access the squash court you need to go outside and across the same alley as the parking garage. The sauna was also padlocked and not useable.

The heat was on full blast, no option to turn off or switch to air. Staff told us to open our sliding door but there was no screen. Room walls are super thin, the room next to us a room full of drunk girls returning from a concert, we could hear the crying, puking and falling all over the place while my daughters tried to sleep.

Hotel was clean, but outside of the parking garage there was garbage and a pool of blood that we had to walk over as it was on the steps to the door.

Will not stay again.

Zero Issues with the hotel great location clean room and friendly staff. Was a we bit freaked out when i went to leave after check out and did not realize the parking had two floors and for a few minutes thought my car was towed or stolen. Then remember when we left the parking garage from arriving we went down a flight of stairs. Nice clean city as well and it has been a long time since I have been in a city with such little amount of addiction. Kitchener job well done!

Clean room but power kept tripping when i just use 2 appliances. Seems like they know the problem but its annoying cause i have to walk down to reception as the phone wont work when it trips. We stayed for 2 days family of 4, light in a bathroom didn’t work and we asked the receptionist to fix it-ignored, housekeeper always prepared towels for 2, kept asking for additional 2. Food in a restaurant -horrible, buns are hard like were baked a week ago, broccoli soup we couldn’t even eat, tested disgusting, teriyaki rice with shrimps and salmon also overpriced and not tasty, better to order somewhere else.

I loved the location. Lots of places to eat with different choices and just a block from the museum. The customer service was amazing. Very accommodating. Provided a nice crib. (I called ahead to reserve) as well as an earlier check in ad my daughter needed her nap. Always available. If I was rating the hotel just on that plus the amenities it be 5 starts. It need more maintenance to the building. And better overall cleaning to the hall ways and carpets. (Some TlC) the basement has a gym, bowling alley and mini golf. Along with a lot of space for kids to be kids. The pool had two separate areas shallow 3.75 ft and deep end. Loved our stay.

Breakfast was poor, some scrambled eggs, bacon and cakes that were lousy or a day old. The elevators are old and noisy. One morning I left a piece of toilet paper in the toilet and when I come back in the afternoon was still there, the toilet wasn't even flushed.
I move around with a mobility scooter but the property does not have ramps, so if you have limited mobility stay away from this hotel.

My third time staying at Crowne Plaza Kitchener. The staff is exceptional! They even remembered me! Always extremely professional, kind, accommodating, and patient. My upgraded room was so comfortable and clean. Aqua, the restaurant, is delicious and the wait staff is wonderful. I also used the fitness centre this visit. Was surprised at how many options for working out are available. An exercise room, pool, bowling alley, putt putt golf!
I will be staying there again soon!
