The staff in reception were very nice. For us the room was very below standard for the price that we paid. We only had one pillow each to sleep on and there were no extras in the room. No beverage making facilities in the room. There was a hot drinks machine downstairs but it was dkk 35 each. There was also no phone in the room to call for reception etc and the mattress on the bed was very thin. So overall the hotel we thought was not worth the money spent to stay.

All the staff were wonderful. The hotel is centrally located. You are right in the center and only a 5 minute walk to the train station. Ask for room 103. Visit the Thanksgiving Gallery only minutes away for excellent local art.

It was a good size room, clean enough, did not smell even though the hotel is older.
We realize there is no coffee provided in most hotel in Denmark, but receptionist was kind enough to loan us a kettle.
However, try not to come on Sunday or Monday. Majority of shops are closed on Sundays. The attractions are closed on Sunday and Mondays.

Location is perfect! We checked in early for a small fee. Walked to everything. Our room was great. Several large windows overlooking the cobblestone walkways. The parking is tight. The shower is the problem. it is not designed well and water runs out. Make sure you have extra towels as they will be needed to keep the water from running out of the flooded bathroom.
Our pre-check in person was not as friendly as we would have liked, but the rest of the staff was wonderful.

Lower points due to Expedia's management of the stay. Expedia did not provide a means to contact the hotel, which was difficult to approach by car. Entering the address into the GPS directed me to an illegal turn into a pedestrian zone. After (legally) parking in the neighborhood and walking to the hotel, the staff gave me a different address to use for the approach by car.
Expedia should have provided a phone number to contact the hotel, which would have saved me a considerable amount of time, after traveling all day.

Check in is a pain. Need to have a person check you in NOT a computer. And then I had to register my car separately. Ridiculous if you going to make me check myself in, it should be all together. No air conditioning, top floor was a steam bath upon my arrival. At least open the windows and turn on the fan prior to residents checking in. I would not recommend your hotel to anyone.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is superb - - a few minutes away (walk) from the Roskilde Station and you can start your shopping experience the moment you step out from the hotel. The room is rather old and has no air-conditioner.

A well-located hotel on the main shopping street, 8 minutes walk from the train station. Other Danish hotels all offered me free early check-in, but Zleep wanted to charge 100DKK for that service. There was only one bath towel qnd one face towel- all other hotels offer two sets, and no small soaps (only squeeze gel soap in shower). No safe in room, and breakfast (extra) was fair and mostly in the fridge, not laid out on the counter.

Roskilde is a lovely city and well worth visiting. Two night stay at Zleep Hotel Prindsen; accommodation and location were good. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Did not dine at the hotel so cannot comment on menu.
Occupied a room overlooking the courtyard/guest entrance where noise levels were fine on the Friday night. However, music from a wedding reception on the Saturday night was very loud and continued well after midnight resulting in very little sleep. Given that hotel reservation was made 6-7 weeks in advance it might have been nice to have been forewarned, and the possibility of a quieter room explored (subject to availability).

We enjoyed our stay in Roskilde. The room was quiet with proper light blocking shades. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. The hotel is on a pedestrian street with lots of shopping and restaurants, easy walking from the train station and tourist sights.

Great location, everything else awful.

Waited 45 mins to get checked in, then eventually was given a room that wasn’t cleaned from previous people, hotel is very very old, and then in the morning when trying to find someone to help with ordering a taxi not a single staff member to be found, had to walk up the street with my bags to a shop to get assistance.

and when people are coming to your hotel you should ask them if they are on a car and you should tell them they have to register the car

Værelset lå lige op ad elevatoren, så en hel del larm herfra. Skulle virkelig bruge mange kræfter for at åbne vandet i bruseren. Ingen glas eller tanderups på badeværelset. Morgenmad ikke fyldt op da vi ville spise kl 09.00 og Inge mennesker man kunne sige det til. Efter 5 min fik jeg fat i reseptionisten som så begyndte at fylde op , samt fyldte mælk på kaffemaskinen. Prinsen har tidligere været et rigtig godt hotel, men det er godt nok gået ned ad bakke.

Værelset var rent og pænt. Det kunne være rart med glas i stedet for papkrus. Vi fik at vide det var en opgradering fra dobbeltværelse til familieværelse, og der stod da også en feltseng som 3. seng. Men den stod lidt foran døren til badeværelse. Hvorfor har man ikke fjernet den, så der faktisk var mere plads? Der var intet personale ved morgenmad, og kaffemaskinen var løbet tør for mælk. Der var heller ingen i receptionen - hverken under morgenmad eller ved udtjekning. Vi havde betalt på forhånd, så kunne bare lægge nøglekort, men så at andre havde problemer med at få kontakt

Vi boede på nr. 318 og der var en fantastisk udsigt til domkirken og fjorden. Dog var der en forfærdelig lugt i rummet, både fra afløbet i badeværelset og en general dårlig luft. Der er general dårlig anvisninger på hvor værelserne er henne, især hvis man tager elevatoren en del at vejen og skal op til 318. Vi bestilte heldigvis ikke morgenmad, for vi hørte fra andre at der manglede \"alt\". Det var selvfølgelig også 1/1-2026, men alligevel.

Værelset var pænt og rent, det så ud til at nogen havde lånt en stol, det virkede i hvert fald tomt at der ikke var en stol foran læselampen.

Dette er mit andet ophold på dette hotel og jeg vælger det kun pga beliggenheden, da den er helt fantastisk. Samt det at det er så let at parkere ved hotellet.

Når man kommer ind er hotellet super fint, men så snart man kommer ind i elevatoren og op på gangen til ens værelse, daler oplevelsen. Hotellet fremstår nusset og gangene ved værelserne, trænger i den grad til at blive opgraderet. Det er slidt og trist at se på. Selve værelset var ok, dog var der kun varmt vand om aften, så man kunne komme i bad. Men om natten og næste dag, var der overhovedet ingen varmt vand i hverken hanen el bruseren.
Badeværelse var ikke super rent, men ellers i fin stand.

Sengene sover man til gengæld godt i. Lyset på værelset er ret begrænset og får værelset til at fremstå lidt dystert.

Fantastisk beliggenhed i byen og nemt at parkere. Vores værelse lugtede af mug/indelukket og der var kun sengelamper ingen lys at tænde ved døren.
Der lå gamle pomfritter under skrivebordet!! Desuden var afløbet utæt fra badekarret og vandet løb ud mellem gulvet og væggen og vider ud i badeværelset, nok derfor panelet ved døren var råddent. Da jeg påtalte det til personalet fik jeg bare at vide at det jo var et gammelt hotel !!!

Had to pay for tea! 5€. This is normally included, you can do your tea at your room. In this case the night portier instructed us to take a small coffee cup if we wanted tea. Once we served ourselves, he said 5€. I then said that tea is normally included and that there was no sign informing us that the tea was not complimentary. He said that normally you must pay for tea. This was the most expensive tea I ever had, especially considering that we got it in an espresso cup. Good business!
