Completely refurbished in 2016, the beachfront 4-star Medora Auri Family Beach Resort features outdoor swimming pools and a wellness centre with a variety of saunas, a whirlpool bath, a relaxation room and various massage and beauty treatments. A buffet restaurant with show cooking serves local and international specialties.
Free WiFi is provided in all areas. Guests are welcomed in air-conditioned rooms that include a balcony overlooking the Adriatic Sea or the Biokovo Mountain.
A flat-screen satellite TV and a minibar are also included, while private bathrooms feature a shower or a bathtub and free toiletries. A couple of bars, including a beachfront bar, a lobby bar with panoramic views of the surroundings as well as a pool cocktail bar, invite guests to relax and unwind.

Loved it, beautiful views, great position. We only had B and B but breakfast was 5 star. rooms were lovely and well equipped and all areas of the hotel were modern and clean. Only downside was the pool too small and crowded. Children’s pool below was hardly used as too shallow. This was a huge space and completely wasted in my opinion as the majority of children used the adult pool?

The Medora Auri in Podgora is in a fantastic location! The hospitality team can help you with anything you need - excursions or renting a car - and I found that booking these things directly with the hotel was better value for money but equally fantastic service. Renting a car was super easy, the car was brought to the hotel and picked up from there also so no faffing or inconvenience. Also, excursions and trips were arranged brilliantly, picked up and dropped off at the hotel doors.
The main town, Makarska is very close and easy to get to (10 minute taxi/bus ride but can also be reached with a nice stroll along the promenade) and has all the main links to boat trips to the islands, day trips to Krka National Park or Dubrovnik etc. Both Podgora and Makarska have wonderful communities that made my holiday fantastic.
The restaurants and supermarkets were also great, plenty of choice and multiple options for children etc. Hotel food was great, buffet style with almost anything you could want. I was very impressed with the hotel’s consideration for guests with food allergies - such as myself. Everything is picture labelled clearly with allergens and they have a “gluten free corner” and also many options for dairy allergies etc. I had expected to do as I always do in holiday and take a guess and hope for the best but was very very pleased to have had the luxury of knowing what I could eat!

The food was absolutely delicious, stretching, yoga and aqua aerobics with Ivan and Roman great. Our 4 year old Audrey couldn't wait to go to Kids Club. It was truly amazing as Antea treated children as little adults but also played with them a little. Simply a great vacation! We'll be back!

Podgora is a beautiful little coastal town and the Medora Auri Resort is in a great location at one end of the main promenade. However we were disappointed with the hotel itself and cut our 7-night booking short after two nights. We did visit in early July when the hotel was fully occupied but found the public spaces just not big enough to cope with the number of guests. The pool and restaurant were so overcrowded that neither were enjoyable. Our family room with ocean view was right above the beachfront bar which played live music until late - not suitable for our young family. The staff did try to help solve our issues which we appreciated but even that didn't make us want to stay as we just didn't feel like it was the right place for a relaxing holiday.

Beautiful beach at the hotel. Clean modern room but walls are very thin so can hear the people next door. There's only elevator in the main building. my room was facing the sea view so can watch the beautiful sunset. Nice air conditioned rooms but no hot water so had to take cold showers. Great restaurants within walking distance. Takes two hours drive from split airport but the beach at the hotel was worth it! Excellent breakfast selection.

Lovely stay at the newly refurbished beachfront hotel. A few teething problems given its a new hotel but all fixed promptly as with a smile. Views fab and rooms well designed. Podgora is a lovely spot for a holiday. Pools great too!

Sie könnten unser Abendessen gerade nicht einsehen, wir sollten möchten früh kommen wenn der Chef da ist. Von einem 4 Sterne Hotel erwarte ich Systeme, die funktionieren. Um vom Zimmer zum Restaurant, Schwimmbecken oder Mehr zu kommen stehen 2 Aufzüge die kleiner als 1qm sind zur Verfügung. (Lange Wartezeiten mit Kind) Das Hotel ist komplett überfüllt und laut. Personal mit 900 Gästen seit März ausgebucht. Es herrscht allgemein Chaos und laute Athomsphäre. Die Äußeren Sitzplätze beim Frühstück sind eigentlich immer besetzt . Weitere äußere Sitzplätze nur über Treppen und lange Wege zu erreichen. Überwurf am Bett voller Hundehaare, Dusche an den Fugen verschimmelt und allgemein im rostig und im verbrauchten Zustand. Lob an die Auswahl an Essen und dem Robert F. im Restaurant, sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Kinderbecken ist nur über Treppen zu erreichen. Mit Kinderwaagen ist schleppen angesagt. Um den Kinderpool zwischen den Liegestühlen ist es sehr unhygienisch, Haare und Dreck überall. Die Außenanlage bedarf allgemein mehr Personal. Wir würden nicht mehr wieder kommen. Allgemein nicht mehr als 4 Sterne (Bewertung) wert.

Ett stort hotell med väldigt bra läge. Fint rum men en del saker drog ner betyget. Väldigt dålig städning av rummet. Vi var där 5 nätter och de bytte aldrig sänglakan och dammsög aldrig golven. AC luktade otrevligt så den hade vi bara igång när vi var tvungna. Servicen med handdukar till poolen och stranden var väldigt bra. På frukosten fanns det mycket att välja på, vi saknade bara mer färsk frukt och lite nyttigare alternativ. Tänk på att där är mycket trappor och ibland längre väntan på hissarna.

Sehr schön gelegenes, grosses Hotel mit direkter Strandlage und gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Viele Pauschalreisende, die organisierte Ausflüge machen. Das Buffet ist durchschnittlich und eher für deutsche Touristen. Das kleine Dörfchen mit Hafen hat man in 2 Tagen gesehen.

Wir waren das zweite Mal im Medora Auri und waren wieder sehr zufrieden. Die Meerseite bietet einen phantastischen Blick auf das Umfeld. Sehr gutes Essen, freundliches Personal in allen Bereichen. Einziges Manko ist, daß kaum Geschäfte und Lokale etc. im Ort in der Nachsaison geöffnet haben. Immer wieder gern.

In unserer Zeit war es sehr stürmisch, sodass am Strand und am Pool keine Schirme aufgestellt worden konnten. Also Sonnenbrand vorprogrammiert.

Wir waren am ersten Abend geschockt. Durch viele Urlaube haben wir eine Möglichkeit zu vergleichen. Es war sehr laut, und zu anderen Zeiten kein Unterschied. Das \"Restaurant\" gleicht einer Halle mit vielen Tischen. Nicht gemütlich, wo man sich zum Essen gern zurück zieht. Einzige Möglichkeit: 1 Terasse und 2 Balkone. Die 2 Balkone waren super. Allerdings nur ca. 8 Tische jeweils. Die Terasse geht gar nicht. Weil: Abends zu dunkel. Kaum beleuchtet und man hat das Essen auf dem Teller nicht mehr gesehen. Hier kann man mit mehr Lichterketten (gab es auf der schönen Promenade) mehr Licht erzeugen. Zum Frühstück saß man direkt in der Sonne. Ein einziger Schirm in der Mitte hat den gesamten Rand nicht abgedeckt.
Wellnessbereich:
1 Sauna, 1 Whirlpool, Massage gegen Aufpreis möglich (sehr zu empfehlen), 1 Dampfbad

Ophold var som forventet da vi har været der før. Vi fik god service af venlige personale og god mad. Det eneste at sætte fingeren på er at personale under måltiderne fjerner service alt for hurtigt inden man er helt færdig med at spise. Det gør også at der var en del støj og larm.

Eneste negative opplevelsen jeg har er relatert til heisene. Det er for få og for små heiser på hotellet. Heisene er i tillegg treige til å åpne seg og går senere enn de fleste heiser mellom etasjene.

Bel hôtel, toutes les chambres avec une vue magnifique sur la mer, mais la propreté laisse à désire.les serviettes sont changées, les poubelles visées, le lit refait mais c est tout! A la réception, ils sont très réactifs et à l écoute, mais le service ne suit pas. La nourriture est bonne et variée. La piscine petite et bruyante.le matelas à la plage de l hotel est payant!. Évitez les chambre à l étage 7 sous le restaurant, très bruyante des 6h00 du matin et jusqu a 23H00. Le gros plus de cet hotel, est sa vue fantastique et le pratique de l hotel. Emplacement très agréable. Wifi gratuit dans tout l hotel même sur la plage.

Fantastisk flott hotell med alt en kan ønske seg. Positiv overraskelse at familyrommene var 2 rom med dør og hvert sitt bad. Praktisk med tenåringsbarn på tur. Gode senger, rent og pent. Ein modernes Familien Hotel. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Buffet ist der Wahnsinn. Geheizter sehr sauberer Pool. Sehr gut auch für kleinere Kinder da ein großer Kinderpool (30-50cm Tiefe) vorhanden ist.
