The rooms were spotless and I just loved that I had a kitchen and laundry available anytime of the day. The pool was sparkling and the grounds well cared for. This motel doesn’t match the website description. I was expecting a lively, fun, retro experience but there was no coffee van and the place was dead. I tried to book online but it wasn’t working. I rang the number and got an OS call centre. He told me it was booked out. I looked again and was able to book a family room despite being only two people. The bathroom was tiny and the shower leaked onto the floor. Would definitely be challenging with kids. It was a reasonable motel overall but absolutely did not live up to expectations.

Door closer into rooms meant you have to remember to take your key pass even if you are just unpacking the car or you will be locked out of your room. The pool area and common kitchen was a good feature.

STUNNING! This is a sanctuary and a time warp done BEAUTIFULLY! Staff awesome, rooms awesome, pool smaller and more dated than the photo shows but PERFECTLY retro dated. It’s on the edge of town about a 5min drive so it means you get AWAY from people to relax, but easy to get straight back in there. Beds and pillows were SUPERB and the shared lounge and kitchen was AMAZING! I could live here! Daily routine: Wake up and dip in the pool. Shower and head to The Wharf Restaurant for breakfast (5mins away) then into the day! LOVED it!

Nothing was a bother and they sorted out an issue we had immediately (thank you Jinesh!!) We enjoyed walking into town too, so we could enjoy a drink without having to worry.
