The ground floor is a great location however that is where it stops. This apartment is in desperate need to redecorating and repairing. The is a huge hole in the the worn out leather lounge, the walls and skirting boards are crumbly and in desperate need of paint and repair, there are tiles missing outside and the inside curtains have black mould on them and the Venetian blinds are dusty and rusty. We had the manager get the cleaner back in as the floors were still dirty and the windows were disgusting with hand and finger marks all over them just to name a few. This apartment is in an ideal location however it desperately needs money spent on it! The owner of this apartment must be greedy and stupid.. with all the other properties on the gold coast why would you expect people to stay here? We had to extend our stay due to flight issues but i couldnt wait to get home. Never again!!

An amazing property with the best location in Surfers a small complex which means minimal people in the pool and using the facilities. Stunning views in the beachfront apartment we stayed in. Close to surfers but not too busy, located opposite a patrolled flagged section of the beach. The property managers were extremely helpful, we can’t wait to stay there again!!

Greatest location - and really nice and spacious
Location that you cannot beat! Really on the beach - and nice walking distance to \"downtown Surfers Paradise\" so you are still a bit away from it all but can easily join in if you feel like it. Nice appartements, but ours didn't have that great kitchen utensils (only 1 frying pan, no sharp knives, limited number of plates etc) No big issue though. Internet is really poor - but with a decent dataplan of your own, you are OK.

Very central location, great ocean views from every room in the apartment. Only downside was very noisy from cars at all hours, not normal traffic, most likely young guys in loud vehicles who love to hear themselves echo off the buildings. Pool area was great and it was heated.

The Apartment is spacious and well equipped with everything you could need. Property managers were friendly and helpful. Everything was easy, we didn't want to leave.

We loved the fact that we were on the ground floor. Able to walk out on to the patio and be only seconds to the beach. The suite was huge and even had our own pet geckos.

This is not a hotel at all - it is a 3 star self catering apartment- byo toilet paper and tissues - free internet was terrible and did not stay connected for more 5 minutes- bathroom was not cleaned before we came and had rubbish in it . The beds were terribly soft and over used -left us all with back pain . Before you leave you are given a note from management to clean you own rubbish and wash the dishes or you are charged extra . The rubbish chute is so small it doesn’t even take a rubbish bag . Pool was closed for renovations- although website said would be complete by early December. So disappointed! Not enjoyable at all .

Gorgeous Place -- Not Finished Building it yet!
Our first floor massive suite was epic. We got 2 free parking spots underground and the beach was right there. Basically my only issues should resolve themselves but still worth mentioning: The entire grounds around the place were under construction for our entire stay. That meant for starters a number of the facilities were out of commission (pool, lounge area) but more importantly being woken up a dawn every morning by hammers and drills, etc that lasted the whole day was NOT how I wanted to spend my vaca. I'm sure one completed the patio will be fantastic but this really soured my stay.

Excellent location and views, very spacious. Worn out inside and needs a bit more attention to detail in the cleaning and preparation of it, eg light bulbs not working, cleanliness of stove area. Bed was a bit hard but that might just be my personal preference. Did not manage to catch the office managers which didn't really matter to me, although I did visit the office when it was supposed to be open, but it wasn't. Left key in the locked after hours key return slot when I departed but was called by the manager the next day to say they couldn't find the key, so don't know what the story is there. Loved the location, but overall a bit disappointing. Nothing that a bit more attention to detail and customer service wouldn't fix.

We really enjoyed the stay at Berkeley. The view from the bedrooms, kitchen and the living area is magnificent! The fully serviced two bedroom apartment made us feel like home. Very close to the surfers paradise beach and walking distance to Cavil Ave., Replies, infinity and many other shopping centres. I even extended the stay from one night because it was a lovely place to be. Recommend to anyone who comes to Gold Coast to have a pleasant stay.

The apartments are in a great location with fantastic views but during our stay there was noisy and inconvenient building work going on this started at 7am with drilling and workman on your balcony so suggest you do not stay during this work

We had a confirmed booking (and had paid a deposit) for a 5 night stay in the ground floor apartment. We booked nearly two months before our stay. This apartment was re-sold to guests for a 7 night stay but we were not informed until we arrived at the hotel. We were put in another, unsuitable apartment.
The apartments at Berkeley on the Beach are apparently each owned by different investors and the standard of accommodation you get seems to be a bit of a lottery. I don't doubt that some apartments are wonderful but ours wasn't.
Our worst problem was the ensuite bathroom where there was a broken shower mixer tap, missing floor tiles with the gaps patched by cement filler/grout, and a disgraceful mould problem. (One of the managers did come to make repairs and clean away the worst mould during our stay, for which were grateful, but we had asked - and really wanted - to be moved to another apartment). The kitchen was also very dirty with accumulated grease/grime on the Ceran hotplates.
I believe that each of the apartments in the complex should be photographed, listed and booked separately so that guests are not misled about the standard of accommodation for which they are paying. Quite apart from maintenance issues, some of the units seem to have unobstructed ocean views whereas others look onto multi-storey apartment blocks.
Finally, you get four bath towels per apartment for a five night stay; you have to pay for clean towels and you need to take your own toiletries.

Had an issue and instead of trying to sort it out management decided it was time for a money grab. Same issue with friends who stayed there. The office is rarely open even during business hours.

Beautiful Views! We wanted to stay for months!
We were blown away by the views. Each floor only has two units so you have views from three sides. I'm sure there isn't a unit that has bad views! The hotel seems somewhat dated, but everything was clean, comfortable, and in good working condition. The beach is right out front with a swimming area so you can come and go from the beach easily all day. The main strip of Sufer's Paradise is easy walking distance.

We just spent 6 days - family of 5 - and this place was perfect for us. The apartments were very spacious and in great condition and the views and location could not be better. We will absolutely make this place a go to on the Gold Coast from now on.

We enjoyed our stay so much as this is the 3rd time we have stayed at Berkeleys, it is central to Cavill Ave. The beach is just outside the door and the new Managers Tom and Lucy were very nice indeed.The amenities are great just a shame that the spa was being upgraded but it will be all done when we go back next year.

I have been holidaying on the Gold Coast for 20+ years and this was by far the best apartment I have stayed in. It was right on the beach, right next to the life guards; close to shops, public transport, the local surf club, supermarket, time zone and the night markets. The room was spacious with the best amenities of any apartment I have ever stayed in with awesome views - we watched whales go past every day! We will definitely be staying there again next year!

We had a wonderful time at Berkeley on the Beach. It is very close to the Tram station, which made commuting around Gold Coast and to the Airport very easy. It is also right on the Beach with great views. The smaller beds could have used better mattresses, but overall it is great value for money.
