It had everything kitchen, washing machine, dryer, tv is a bit dated but we didn’t use it, AC. Very leafy and green location, very peaceful and quiet. Pretty modern/new apartment.
Was a bit pricey but I guess that’s Byron Bay, you’ll need a car

Wonderful location, wonderful facilities... only disappointing note was someone's towel was still in the washing machine, and the filter on the dryer hadn't been checked in a very long time! Otherwise the place was spotless, spacious, great pool, beautiful location, and very comfortable.

A very clean, open and homely feeling apartment with a neat courtyard to eat our meals in. Plenty of amenities for cooking meals, washing machine and dryer. Very quick and friendly responses to any request we had. And a wonderful clean pool in beautiful treelined surroundings which we loved.

Unit was well equipped and close to everything in Byron Bay. Unfortunately was quite dusty and the bathroom was mouldy and the shower head blocked with calcium build up, making for a very irregular stream.

Apartment needs a good makeover. Old and in need of a paint and general internal and external clean up. Not sure why it’s called Lakeside. There is a small pond. Better value in another location.

Such a great place to stay with two young kids. The layout of the apartment was well thought out and worked really well for us. The pool area was great, the grounds were beautiful, the owners were lovely! Location was perfect, just out of town but not too far out. Easy to get to town and easy to explore other towns nearby. Can't fault it.

Perfect peaceful relaxation....

We loved the clean, quiet and spacious apartment, on ground level so my 1 year old son could explore the courtyard after eating breakfast on the setting. Amazed at the necessary amenities that were included! Furnished perfectly for relaxing comfort. We loved every moment. Thank you.

We had a weekend in Byron bay and didn't want to spend a fortune . We were so pleased with the Lakeside apartments . Only short drive from the centre of Byron or an easy flat walk . Great value, would certainly recommend this for an affordable stay

Perfect Stay!

We stayed during Splendor weekend and the apartment was perfect. Just a nice distance away from the busy Main Street but close enough for only a few min drive! Very friendly staff and great facilities! Will def stay again

Not a place I'd recommend

Filthy unwashed plates in cupboard, front door lock broken, dryer tripped circuits every time we used it, batteries in tv remote were flat, only one bin liner provided, light in dining room not working, single beds extremely lumpy. Complex was a rabbit warren, no views as per Expedia website, no privacy and partying neighbours. Enough said.

Nice apartments near the beach

This was a lovely place to stay. Although some elements of the apartment itself could be refnewed we could not complain about our stay.
Everything we needed was available and it was great to be able to do some washing during our travels.
There was a small pool area with a BBQ made available. And there is a beautiful beach at walking distance
However, you are not in the centre of Byron Bay (which suited us well as we like quiet) and it took 1/2 hour to walk there. As we had access to car, it was easy to get in and out of town when we needed.
We would most definitely stay there again

Nice pond!

The beautiful pond at the rear of the property was the best thing about this place.
The room comfort was so terrible the entire family needed massages after sleeping on the beds for 2 nights. Not to mention the lounge downstair which made it impossible for us and the children to rest after a day of sightseeing or watch a movie. We had no choice but to sit by the pool most days though most of that furniture was broken as well.
We didn't receive any fresh towels, soap or even tea & coffee at all the entire week. We had to go to reception and ask for fresh towels on at least 2 occasions.
Overall, I would not recommend anyone stay unless you're on a real budget.

Wonderful- staff and accommodation, just wish Last min staff realised how far out it was- about a 20 - 25min walk into Byron so would have been better if i had a car! Or at least hired one at the airport!

Nice, quite place, self contained apartments.

Beautiful place, short walk to Tallow Beach. Cafe right next door. I didn't explore the grounds but the were well kept, clean premises beautiful gardens and neat, tidy apartment with everything you could need. Definitely recommend it.

Our apartment was very comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay.
Transport is needed to get to the main downtown area, the pool is advertised as \"heated\", but is cold.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, generally, a good choice for us, it had everything we expected.

Great family holiday location.

Hotel was really great except upstairs bedrooms were too hot even with ceiling fans. All facilities very clean and comfortable. Lovely pool & bbq area. Very popular cafe on corner for morning coffees.

Our unit needed updating.

Good location, excellent service from site managers (replaced a missing item very quickly). Outdoor areas are pleasing and well maintained. Our particular unit was very dated, not well maintained and had hardly anything to use in the kitchen, the one saucepan available didn't even have a lid. This probably reflects more on the owners of that particular unit, I can't speak for the condition of the other units. Was quite spacious and had an outdoor area.

Pool and room was great . Kids loved the pool. Close to town, staff at hotel friendly , clean maybe add a boster for your wifi. That's all. I will be back . I work in IT happy to help to install wifi booster .

Relaxing Stay away from Byron Bustle

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Lakeside over Australia Day. The apartment was comfortable if a little basic but we liked the location.

It is a brisk walk (or short drive) out of town and right next to a great place for breakfast or a nightcap (the Roadhouse) and has a lovely pool and BBQ area.

It was generally quiet but the walls are thin so you don't want noisy neighbours if you are trying to sleep.

Great spot just out of town, nice to relax and escape the bustle in peak holiday season. We hired bikes and rode 10mins to town each day which was so great and i would recommend it! Walking distance to amazing Tallows beach. Lakeside people were super helpful and friendly. Fab place to stay.

Nice and roomy, close to Tallow Beach!

Plenty of room for the family - everyone was able to have a little bit of space, convenient for everyone coming and going easily. Very close to Tallow Beach, but a little far from Main beach, Wategos, etc. Nice and clean rooms. Our room was quite close to the road, and as such was a little bit noisy. The rooms on the lakeside would be better in this respect. Perfect for long walks down the beach into the town centre.

Little hot water and unusable internet

The villa itself was fine and of a good standard. What was severely lacking was the lack of hot water.

You got 3 minutes shower or one third of a bath of hot water and then it ran out. That's simply unacceptable for a place that costs 170 AUD a night. Secondly the internet was atrocious and unusable.

Hot Water and Wifi are prerequisites in this day and age

Wifi didn't work
No reception unless out front or out back of property.
Toilet seat broken in ensuite.
Shower head in ensuite can't be adjusted without falling off the wall and is pretty low.
Bed average comfort.
Driveway narrow, tricky to get in and out of garage.
Otherwise clean, modern facilities. Very roomy, big enough for a small family.
Decent walk to town. Only $10 taxi though.
Nice coffee shop/cafe next door. Doesn't allow children at night though.

Super friendly staff in a beautiful area

The staff were all so welcoming and friendly for our entire stay.

There was a slight miscommunication where we didn't end up geting any housekeeping, we had asked for more towels which we didn't get and we ran out of toilet paper.
The location is beautiful and peaceful. The apartments were perfect for us, very lovely interior. I would definitely come back here!

Great, relaxing place to stay. Lovely people, beautiful lake and pool area, left alone to enjoy my holiday and the room was perfect. Added bonus being just behind the Roadhouse cafe which is the best place for food and coffee in Byron. Will definitely stay there again.

The place was better than described. The pictures don't do it justice. Loved it very much and will highly recommend. It was recently renovated or newly built. Very comfortable beds. The kitchen and laundry were perfect and new. Outdoor furniture and surronding was well done.

The complex is small and quiet in a nice setting. The unit was basic, but roomy and clean. All white goods you would need were there but crockery was very sparse. Had a small courtyard garden with space for hanging the washing.
Overall a decent place and we would stay here again
