Check in was quick. Staff was average. Breakfast by the beach was great. Service was a little slow and they were not busy at all. R
Beds were comfortable and water pressure was great. Room was clean. Keep in mind this is an old building. Loud, heavy doors. Many areas like in to the room and shower there is a step up. Valet was very attentive. You have to park across the street if you don't use valet.

The room was nice and cold in a warm, muggy day. The staff was nice and helpful. My only complaints were there some long hairs on our towels and the shower is rusting, but it is right on the water so assuming most older properties along the water must be like that. Would have been a great experience except for the hair on multiple towels. Ew.

Room was ok. Looks like repairs were in progress. Sparkle on the wall with no paint or sanding. Dresser was in a weird place. No full length mirror. No waters in the room. Not deal breakers but just some suggestions. Menu options felt limited. Fruit and veggie tray would have been since. Front desk and valet service was great. Beach was ok. Pools were nice. Could have used more servers for the pools. Bed was comfy and ac cooled nicely in the room. Resort is close to quit a few things. Only big con was our room door was left open by housekeeping staff. Probably all day since we were gone all day and housekeeping happens in the morning hours. We informed front desk of this. We got an apology. We might stay here again.

We always stay at the Beachcomber. It is our favorite spot. The rooms are very comfortable and the beach is perfect. The balconies offer amazing views. Generally we prefer the ocean view vs ocean front because it’s fun to see if there are families playing in the pool or to hear the live music on the weekends, but all the rooms are great.

Overall the resort was nice. The restaurant and pool staff were really good. The hotel desk staff was not very personable. Other than the hotel front desk staff, my only other issue was with how loud the air conditioning was and that it seemed to be set at 70 and you could not lower it anymore. I found it hot in the room and would have liked the option to bring it down to 68°. The resort was okay but I would not stay there again.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful answering all questions. They were all friendly and welcoming. We used their cabanas to celebrate our niece’s graduation and everyone was great. Service was top notch. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to be close to the beach and wants great service.

Any minor noise in hallway and in other rooms easily heard in our room making it very difficult to sleep at night or in the morning.
Valet guys seem very overwhelmed. Not very friendly or communicative.
Ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant which was overpriced, poorly made and not very tasty.
Location was great and description on room placement was perfect.

We stayed this past April, the resort is really nice, clean annd wonderful amenitis! The food was delicious, lots to choose from and a really nice bar outside with amazing drinks! Chairs and umbrellas were free of charge if you were staying at both the pools and beaches which was a huge plus! Definitely kid/family friendly but also nice for adults too!
I really wish there was a hot tub, we had some cooler days and that would have been nice since the pool and beach were too cold to go in, but the pools and beaches we wonderful when it was warm weather! Next time we will skip out on the rental, parking was not easy to do, where we had to cross a main street each time which was dangerous and inconvenient for us. Other than that great food, great views and all staff were super helpful and extremely nice! I highly recommend staying at the Beachcomber! We will definitely be coming back soon!

This was our fourth time there, absolutely my favorite place! I’ve actually never left a review before but there was an incident this year with the resort fee that left a bad taste in my mouth. We know about it and have paid it every year but I was told by a very rude front desk girl named Keke. She told us the resort fee and the parking was due at the time of check out but after the first night we went down to watch the sunrise and got locked out of our room at 7am because they tried taking out of an account I only transfer $ to when I need it. We had nothing with us just room keys and a phone. It was an easy fix but it was embarrassing and inconvenient. I was also treated terrible by the same girl when I picked up a package I had delivered there. I was disappointed, normally the staff goes above and beyond for us. With that being said it’s a beautiful resort and I hope to come back again next year

We booked a Villa and thought it would nicer than a standard room. The floors where dirty and the floor tiles where broken. It had a mini kitchen and fridge with no utensils to use the kitchen for anything. Would not recommend.

We initially had a room on level 2, the room wasnt clean, it was dark and pretty much nasty, nothing like the pictures. We went to the reception and the lady nicely upgraded us on level 5. by being on the level 5, everything was ok but hotel is really a 3 stars. Amenties, pool and beach are very nice. Valet service as well very professionnal. Restaurant food is ok but cafe is very good on the lobby floor.

The staff was wonderful - very helpful and cheery! We wish there was a gym (even a small/basic one) on-property and the bathroom could have used an update. The resort itself was clean and nice though: the restaurant is great, cocktails are fun and not your run of the mill options. Beach staff was very accommodating and quick. Pool was clean and refreshing. Great spot overall!

The staff was super friendly. Food was fantastic. Extremely clean. The room was spacious with a nice balcony. We met very nice people at the pool. The resort guests were a mix of families and couples. It is not a high rise hotel, so there was plenty of sun. The prices were very affordable. I would highly recommend. We are planning on going back!

This is a very old building and the bathroom definitely reflects the age. There was a hole in the wall, the tub was yucky and the water didn’t drain well! The location directly in the beach made it tolerable. I didn’t even stay my second night, the room was definitely not to my standards, need renovation bad!

We have chosen beachcomber 5 times in 18 months though this last stay was a little disappointing. We stayed in a beachfront room with broken air conditioning, the shampoo was not filled, the front desk staff were not welcoming as compared to the restaurant staff who were fabulous. They recognized us, went over the top to make sure we were happy. There was a wedding venue so knowing extra guest would be arriving, they did not staff the pool deck or beachfront appropriately. One staff manned the full outdoor area. The pool was not kept up. We took chemical reading ourselves as we were concerned with the cloudiness and thick film floatingbon the top of the pool. Nothing was done. We brought our concerns to the front desk and stayed out of the pool for the rest of our trip as we are very aware of the health risks to chemical readings not being kept. The pool remained cloudy for our full trip and never once did we see maintenance caring for the pool Very disappointing this time to see how most of the staff did not care for such a beautiful family resort.

Excellent Resort and beautiful right on the beach. The only reason I gave it a four is because the walls are very thin and you could hear everything in the halls. Also the balconies have no privacy whatsoever. If you want to sit out and have a drink or coffee you're sitting right next to the other people on the balcony but everyone was so extremely nice.

A hidden gem. Pool area was quiet M-Th. Weekend gets a bit busier but you can escape to their private beachfront for a more relaxed vibe. Prices for breakfast were normal. And their happy hour prices were great. The staff was super friendly, nice and accommodating. Great memories.

We booked our stay at this hotel based on the reviews. Our first impression of the hotel was a bit strange. Our interaction with the front desk was very cold. My wife and I felt as we were a bother to the front desk staff as well as the coworkers in the front entrance. No greeting, Not even a hello. The room was ok. Dated! The air conditioning unit was so loud, it would wake me up at night when it went on. Mind you it was just replaced according to the Manager. If you stay at this hotel stay away from room 201. The hotel should never offer this room. The room is located next to the Staff supply closets/ Staff staircase door and the door made a lit of noise when it closed. Again waking me up while sleeping. The rest of the staff---wait staff, Beach staff were friendly. The hotel had a restaurant on the beach that was nice, but the couple of
times we ate there, the food was always luke warm or cold. We informed the staff, but nothing ever came of it. I hope the hotels takes this review seriously so they can fix all of the above mentioned. I usually do not write reviews, but I felt I had to. Livio

The common areas of the property are nice, and clean. Our room was filthy and the bathroom was old and in poor shape. Shower curtain was torn, the shower would not drain. By the end of my shower the water was ankle deep.

There was hair all over the floor and on shower walls. The shower had mildew and cracked areas. In general, the bathroom needs some repair and deep cleaning.

The staff was friendly, but did not follow through with my request to fix the shower drain issue.

Housekeeping came every day, but the same dirty areas remained. That indicates poor management of the employee performance. Perhaps a periodic management inspection.

We walked over the same debris (torn cloth) laying in the floor aisle way from the elevator area. It became a joke because it laid there 5 days despite housekeeping walking over it all day.

Bottom line, I will not stay there again until I read about a renovation.

Food was good, staff friendly, lots of amenities, beach service was good, valet was good, location was great. Housekeeping and room condition was poor. It would be inexpensive to renovate the restroom to a decent condition.

We checked in on Monday evening on 4-13 and the young man at the check-in was rude and short with us. Was not a good start to our stay. This person also happened to be there when we checked out and had the same attitude. Not a good fit for someone in hospitality. The rest of the staff was great and we enjoyed the stay.

The hotel and the amenities were nice and the staff were nice as well. I loved the ambiance of the hotel and the location on the beach and to local spots in the area. The hotel room with the view was really nice and overall the stay was pleasant. My only concern was the condition of the bathroom. It was pretty outdated and not what was expected from the pictures. There was also an issue with hair on the walls of the bathtub and the tub drain slow to drain that was reported a few times. The assistant manager reported he would resolve the issue and adjust the cost of our stay, so I am hoping he keeps his word.

They have thought of everything at this resort.
From Lemon water on the beach to great hours for every food place there.
Ethan was So impressive & took care of us the whole time.
He always went above the normal to make sure we were happy.
Rooms were partial view but honestly still Amazing views from those.
We typically stay on the gulf but wanted a quick trip so we ended up here for a few days.
It was Awesome !!

The location is great! The room was big and comfy. Great amenities. Loved the beach and friendly staff. Close to Fort Lauderdale and plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby. Felt very safe to walk out at night. The parking fee was very reasonable compared to other hotels. Would definitely come back .

The property needs a major overhaul, straight out of the sixties; our room smelled and inundated with ants. Climate control in our room was inoperable, and the keycard had to be renewed frequently. Small TV’s with limited channels, slow WiFi, desk only manned by two people during checkout. Not recommended, especially for this price point

The pool was very nice. Nice seating etc. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Tiki Bar at the Deep was very great, very comfortable. Food was ok. Not much of a restaurant sort of all blended into one for lunch and dinner. My room was on the 1st floor overlooking the pool. It smelled really musty. Bad. There was an overturned, belly up copper colored bug about 2 inches long, with a lot of legs overturned near bathroom. Ugh. There was an outside area. Which was great to have being on the ground floor with 2 lounge chairs. The location was excellent with being right on the beach!

Overall, this is a clean and well-run hotel with the exception of my room. The room has been partially remodeled and looks nice while some parts look really outdated, cheap and dirty. There was hair in my sink and tub and mold around the drain that looks like it had been building up for awhile. There’s no way the bathroom had been cleaned before I arrived in my room. If they will cut corners cleaning the bathroom, made me wonder where else they cut corners in cleaning. The food was good, however. We ate at the cafe, the outdoor restaurant and got snacks from the bar while poolside. All great food. Poolside service was promised but nearly non-existent. We had to ask for a server every day. I think maybe they are understaffed. The location is good if you want to be a little out of the busier parts of Ft Lauderdale so I liked that. And there were plenty of great restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Finally, the website states that self-parking is free but the hotel informed us upon arrival that self-parking was the same cost as valet which makes no sense. I’ve never been to a hotel or self parking in valet is the same price. When I mentioned this to the person who checked me in, she didn’t even respond to me and so that’s why I never mentioned the bathroom issue. I felt that she wasn’t gonna be responsive to that issue, they certainly weren’t gonna be responsive to my bathroom issue so I said nothing.
