My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Aloha.
Check in was a breeze, the staff were lovely and the rooms were well decorated. We loved the room had both aircon and a ceiling fan and came with additional extras such as a nice beach bag and beach towels.

The shared kitchen was an absolute treat too as we didn’t realise we would have access to free breakfast and bottled water!

It’s in a great location with a short walk to the beach and town. It’s honestly a perfect place to stay. Would highly recommend!

The room and the whole area was spotless.

The room was a really good size, there were 3 adults staying and we had plenty of space. There was also a separate unit that had everything you would need for breakfast, tea/coffee, juices, bread (fresh from the bakers), eggs, butter, jams, cereals etc. You wanted for nothing and could help yourself. Adrian was lovely to speak to and very helpful. Would 100% recommend.

Wonderful stay and would happily recommend this quaint luxury B&B to anyone. The rooms were extremely spacious, like your very own studio flat. Clean, beach chic design, comfortable bedding, quiet, and very well located for downtown Byron Bay and the surrounding shires. A delightful getaway for solo travelers or small groups!

Lady who seems to run things was not helpful, check-in was poor and our bags were left unattended with gate open when we arrived early and we’re told they would be stored. Communication was weak and passive aggressive, overall service was a shame alongside an otherwise nicely set up property.

Did NOT feel safe. We stayed in the “ground floor apartment” and there were 2 sets of ground level windows that DID NOT LOCK. The windows are at waist level and it would be super easy to climb through while the guest is away to take valuables (no lock box or safe!) or to break into the room while guests are sleeping. There is also a door in the bathroom with just a press button lock that went right to the outside. Those locks are ridiculously easy open from the outside. There is a fence around the property, but because there is limited staffing, the fence is always unlocked. Easy access for anyone! My husband said it felt “murder-y.”

Maybe the area is safe, but how would a guest know? A few simple fixes like locking windows or a wooden dowel in the window track plus a deadbolt in the bathroom would’ve made a huge difference. We ended up putting some sticks we found on the property in the window tracks to keep them from opening and rigging up the door in the bathroom. I’ve traveled in some sketchy places and had to do that, but I was not expecting to pay $632AUD/night for the privilege. What a joke.

I’m sure there are positives to the place. Who knows. I remember thinking it looked cute when we showed up, but all of that was outweighed by how unsafe it felt - at least in the ground floor apartment. Maybe the other rooms in the place are safer? I wouldn’t recommend this AT ALL and will continue to spread the word about how unsafe it is in hopes that the owners make changes.

Beautiful cottage-style studio, newly renovated (it felt like we were the first people to stay there), stylishly furnished in a desert-modern style, with a very handy kitchenette, and a big bathroom with a powerful rainfall shower. Bed extremely comfortable. Nice to have a bit of patio furniture. TV has Netflix and other apps. A 10 minute-or-so walk into the town centre and beach. Free parking right outside the hotel. This really is a gem of a place to stay in Byron.

Nice modern room with good kitchen facilities and large bathroom, bed was really comfy and the room was clean. Had tea, coffee, sugar, and milk when we arrived and the toiletries smelt lovely! It’s in a good location about 10 mins walk from Byron Bay centre along the beach and had parking outside. There is a pool but we didn’t use that on this occasion as only there one night. There was a very helpful lady when we arrived, she wasn’t staff but she helped us get the keys as there weren’t staff available when we got there!

We rented the beach house thinking we were renting the entire house, but the host only opened 2 rooms Because she said we were 3 in total.
This was not much of an issue for us, but it feels like false advertising.
The house was large and the kitchen, breakfast area, etc. really big. Our major issue was the house was not clean. The kitchen countertops, cabinets were so grimy. The washer and the dishwasher so dirty. We took clothes out of our hamper to wash in the washer and we put it right back inside because we have never seen such a dirty washer. There was water pooled inside the washer. There was hair, etc., in the outside rim. It was very icky to think that our towels would’ve been washed in that same washer but we didn’t have a choice.
Similar situation with the dishwasher. In the hallway closet upstairs. The laundry chute in the master bathroom was filled with dirty towels that should have been put away.
The continental breakfast that the advertises just eggs (that you have to cook yourself and couple cereals and milk.
Our check in time was 12:30 PM and when we arrived at 12:20, the host was still cleaning and asked us to come back at 1 o’clock. All in all, we did not have a good experience at all. Since it was just one night, we just put up with it.

We stayed at the beach house and found the house to be lovely and really well stocked with breakfast supplies, lots of coffee pods, and general kitchen needs.

However, when I arrived to pick up the key I was told I hadn’t paid for enough people even though I had put in these details when booking via Expedia (i.e 2 adults, a child and an infant) so she said she would lock 2 of the 4 rooms off. When I advised that my husband and I needed to sleep in separate rooms due to our various sleeping disorders she reluctantly allowed us to use a third bedroom but locked the 4th meaning I had to have our infant in my room overnight even though all we needed the fourth room for was to set up the cot we brought. He is a noisey sleeper and kept me awake most of night which meant I woke exhausted and had a really negative impact on our first trip to Byron Bay.

We were also offered a child gate which she didn’t actually provide and when I went to follow up after we had settled in the office was closed even though it was 30 min before it was meant to close.

Don’t have anything negative to say about our stay, the service was amazing and she was always happy to offer information about things to do. The villa we stayed in had everything we needed with lots of added extras - nice quality toiletries, tissues, biscuits, water in fridge, hair straightener/curling wand as well as dryer etc.
The shared kitchen facility was clean and tidy and there was everything you could want for the included breakfast.
Parking was easy and the staff were helpful and very friendly.
The only thing I would have liked to have seen (or had pointed out to me) was a recycling bin. Other than that, it was a great location and perfect place to stay. Will definitely be recommending to others

Not what I expected.

The room wasn’t amazing. The decor was nice except it didn’t match the location being “Byron bay”. I also was frustrated being 5ft that there was only a small high mirror in the bathroom with no length way mirror or anywhere else to use. The windows were directly above the bed where your head rests and the blind sat out from the wall/window by a lot which meant light streamed in directly on your face as soon as the sun was up. The staff weren’t overly friendly and I had to park someone in after dinner the night before but the car was gone in the morning I would have appreciated someone coming and getting me to move the car so ensure my car would not be damaged ? When leaving staff didn’t even say hello or goodbye to me and I just hung around unsure of what to do as they could so obviously see I was trying to check out. Also based off the online photos and description it was not what I expected. For the price it is disappointing as you can stay in better accommodation closer into town for much much less...
