This hotel is in the historic area and very old. The staff were most excellent friendly and helpful. I was expecting old and funky, but was disappointed in finding the ceiling in the bathroom covered in black mold. This is the reason we have low stars. If this could be addressed it would have more than meet my expectations. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the old city within the walls. Breakfast was standard.

I had a terrible experience with the property. When I booked the hotel, the website says “parking is included”, I used google map and can not reach the hotel and had to park my car in an public area and walk 10 minutes to the hotel, it’s around 11:20 am of 6/13/2025. The lady at reception desk told me parking was not included. I asked her where to park and she told me I had to find a parking place by myself. So I payed at the parking box over the night. When I came back at 3:00 pm, a gentleman at the reception desk showed me a map and said I can drive there and park for free. The problem is the website is too confusing. The main reason I picked this hotel is parking is included. Obidos is an old town, parking is difficult. So if you drive here, you’d better find a better one.

A quaint traditional hotel located within the historic city walls. We stopped overbite driving from Lisbon Airport to Aveiro. Free parking in a gravel lot just a quick walk from the hotel. Hotel staff was very pleasant, offering recommendations for a late evening dinner, and welcoming to the continental style breakfast. Plenty of hot water in the shower and bed reasonably comfortable. Best part is waking in Obodos and having the town to yourself before the tour buses arrive. A very good value for the entirely reasonable rates.

My husband and I spent a night in Obidos, and I wanted to to stay inside the walls of the city. The hotel is small and simple, which I was looking for. The hotel was ok for one night. Big plus, it was very clean. Personnel was not very welcoming, except for the breakfast lady, we had the place only for us. Location was definetly the best feature of this hotel.

Comfortable but not luxurious hotel-no working elevator, nicely located. Breakfast was tasty but in a fly filled basement room and the servers paid no attention to keeping the room cleaned up after guests. Check in was easy but not exactly friendly. I do advise spending a night in Obidos either inside or near the castle-the place is magical after the day trippers leave!

The location of the property was desirable because of the location within the castle walls . The biggest issue was getting to the property. We travelled through Portugal by car and specifically booked accommodations that offered parking free or paid. This property listed that hotel parking was available. It turns out this isn't so. To make matters worse we weren't even able to drive to the property but we weren't advised, so google maps kept directing us up to the property and when we couldn't get there, we had to drive around the castle walls and detour back. We did this twice. Eventually we parked on the road and walked in. The person at the reception desk told us they do not have parking and the road closure was new, but I guess nobody thought it might be a good idea to inform incoming guests! Good thing we were able to walk. The room was not what we expected, it looked nothing like the pictures. The hotel advertised laundry and bar onsite, thère was no laundry available and the bar was closed. The only thing good about the hotel is the location. If you go to Obidos I strongly recommend staying in a neighbouring town and making Obidos a day trip.

Check in simple and quick. Room to small really staying 6 nights. Housekeeping excellent. Breakfast basic but perfectly acceptable. The lift was out of action the whole duration of our stay and the stairs not easy to walk up for the older generation so that made life difficult. All said we would stay again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay at Rainha Santa Isabel Hotel or The Obidos History Hotel. It was right in the historic district yet very close to where you can catch the bus to other locations. The owners were exceptionally gracious, and I enjoyed the included breakfast very much. The view from my window was wonderful. When I look to the left, I could see the castle, and when I look to the right, I could see other historic buildings.

I loved the location in the center of the walled city, the blankets in the closet had a musty smell and the window was too high to see out of but other than that it was a great stay. We have found it challenging to find a room to accommodate four people comfortably and this one did!

We had to carry our suitcases from outside the walls, where we parked. It's a charming hotel though and great location. Breakfast could have been better; pretty much just some fruit and breads.

Impressed by the great location of the hotel (right in the middle of the old city) and they allow you to park inside the old city with a pass which is a plus. 4 beds room is ok (204) Main Street side with nice view! No tv (no need), internet. Only thing is that it has a bunk bed where the top bed doesn’t have a banister so felt insecure about risking falling down...

The hotel is very well located right in the Main Street of Obidos. Breakfast is tasty. They have a designated area for parking for free. The only down side is that they are currently in a remodel so no AC, TV, and many other things until they finish. Other than that we loved it and would go back.

While the hotel is very centrally located, it is very difficult to get to by car. A gentleman, possibly the owner, helped us manuever the car through the winding narrow streets to the hotel. This was very appreciated. The hotel could use a bit of upgrading but was clean and worth the price and good location. Obidos is a charming old village but with way too many tourists.

This was a horrible hotel. The bathtub did not drain properly and if you ran the sink while it was draining the bathtub drain burgled and dirt came up through the drain.
The floors were filthy as was the bedding on the bed my son had. I have pictures to show the bedding and the bathroom. We did report this to the front desk. They did say they reported it to someone but we still could not have a proper shower.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cosy room in a wonderful place
Love Obidos and the hotel is right on the street in the center. Was difficult to get there with the car (I suggest you always call to ask for directions), but once we arrived, the checkin process was quick.Rooms are not modern, but reflect the local buildings. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was quaint and comfortable. It has the qualities of a nice hunting lodge. The breakfast was a nice filling breakfast in a very pleasant dining room.
The hotel is very distant from the rail station and the road connecting the rail station to the town is quite taxing. I recommend anyone relying on public transit should come to Ibidos by bus because the bus stop is very close to the hotel. A much better choice!

Driving into a medieval village with a large van is an experience in itself. We had to walk into the hotel and I had to find my way into the village to drop off the luggage....Believe me, NOT EASY!!!!

Good location because is just in the town centre, which means you can take photographs early morning or late night without all the tourist in the streets. Only disadvantage is the parking, which is not near the hotel and if you are not lucky could be parked outside the town.

Located inside the walls of Obidos, where the streets are just wide enough for modern cars, Rainha Santa Isabel is magnificent! The hotel is clean and nice. Everything is close and within 5 minutes walking. Parking is 2 minutes from the hotel, in the town square.

Staff was not friendly. When we got the bill they refused to accept credit cards (only debit cards). Our debit card was rejected by their system. We were told we have to pay cash. Manager was inflexible. I don't recommend this hotel

A Wonderful Little Hotel In Prime Location
I was really satisfied with this small hotel. It was difficult to reach from the train station on foot as it is nearly at the castle gate but most of the readers will not be travelling that way. It is situated right on the main tourist street in the walled old city. The room was clean and charming with all the comforts incl. wi-fi internet service. The staff was unflaggingly courteous and spoke very good English, particularly the night clerk, who took quite a bit of time to answer my questions about Obidos and the surrounding area. Breakfast buffet was very good, too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a budget option and not afraid of a little walk.

Loved the experience here, hotel is inside of the castle walls so the location couldn't be better! Just keep in mind you'll have to park outside the city walls and walk there with your luggage, so it's not for everyone.

O hotel era muito bem localizado, dentro das muralhas da cidade, com quarto e chuveiro bacanas, mas o estacionamento ofertado não era do hotel e era relativamente distante para quem tem malas grandes e está viajando com pessoas idosas. O elevador também não está funcionando e havia feito a escolha do hotel justamente por isso, a fim de facilitar para os meus pais que possuem dificuldade de locomoção.

Empezaré por lo peor. Me parece una falta de vergüenza que sigan anunciando que tiene ascensor cuando está claro que lleva estropeado mucho tiempo y hay que subir por una escalera estrecha. Tampoco es normal anunciar aire acondicionado cuando lo que hay en las habitaciones es una máquina climatizadora, que no es lo mismo.

Lo de parking en las inmediaciones requiere un comentario: hay hoteles en donde se puede aparcar muy cerca en la calle, pero no es el caso. Lo de situación céntrica es totalmente cierto, pero esto es una dudosa ventaja cuando hay que dejar el coche a 500 m. del hotel (ojo, no entrar en el centro por nada del mundo, ya que en las calles por las que se puede circular son estrechas y laberínticas y otras son peatonales; el GPS mandará por sitios equivocados o prohibidos)
El hotel es caro para su nivel y debe de basar su precio precisamente por su situación céntrica, que tiene el problema de que durante el día pasan cientos de turistas por esa calle con el consiguiente ruido.
Lo mejor, el personal, que ayuda en lo que puede y pone buena voluntad, pero el dueño debería replantearse muchas cosas, comenzando por el precio y hacer una descripción menos engañosa de la realidad.
