Multiple maintenance issues throughout our stay for my wife's 50th birthday. Day 1: Broken USB socket (only power source on one side of bed), broken drawer runners in wardrobe, and loose toilet roll holder. Reported issues, waited 15 mins for maintenance. Day 2: Despite telling reception at 6:30am we'd be out all day, returned to find room uncleaned and nothing repaired. They blamed a door button that was never explained to us at check-in. Poor coordination between reception, maintenance and housekeeping. Day 3: Drawers fixed but toilet roll holder still broken. Received apology cakes but insufficient for £385/night at a 5-star property. Basic room maintenance should have been completed before check-in. Disappointing experience for a milestone celebration.

Clean room, staff is super friendly and cordial. The only issue we encountered was in our open tab, fees that didn’t correspond was a repetitive issue. Also upon our departure, one of my bag packs had been given to another guest luckily we saw the bag pack and retrieved before loosing it. Breakfast restaurant is ok, but needs a better selection of different meals. We stayed for 8 days and each morning it was same food, only soups and one main dish would differ.

As a Marriott frequency guest this is the most poor Marriott I have been visit.
Unfortunately this hotel not stand with the Marriott service I have been use to.
The small things are matter first one In the breakfast the smoked salmon and the bananas is run out and they not restocking the plates even if you ask from them.
Second thing apartments are being built near the hotel and there was construction noise throughout my stay.
Third problem take in consider the airport near to hotel and all the stay there is a noise from the airplanes I am in a vacation and I don't need to hear this noise.
and last there is no restaurants near the hotel and we eat at the hotel restaurant called Big fish we try to order and 4 dishes from the menu was out of stock.

The airport but the beach was a little muddy since I came during the rainy season also it rained every single day I was there. I would stay 1 hr south of the airport it’s a lot more lively and less secluded. Also most of the festive activities are closer to Phuket Town.

My room was cleaned exceptionally well by my cleaner, the staff are very polite.
The breakfast is varied and excellent quality!
The restaurant food i didn’t enjoy. Yesterday i used the shuttle service which is provided by the hotel, to go into town. I had something to eat there instead.
Late evening Happy Hour Cocktail and live music, which makes the evening so relaxing!

We were very satisfied with the hotel and highly likely i will recommend it to friends. All the people we interacted, Ms. Nana and Molly in the reception, Ms. Pop and Noo An in the Andaman Kitchen restaurant, the babysitter ladies in the kid's play area were amazing which made our stay great. Facilities, especially the direct connection to pool from our room was amazing. Happy hour offers were also something to mention, we enjoyed them.

Only improvement might be related to the variety of food options and diversity of the menu for the dinner and lunch. I would prefer more international options but it was still one of the better ones in Phuket. The existing menu items in the kitchens were delicious, we enjoyed the steak and slow cooked beef cheek options a lot in Andaman Kitchen.

We hope to be back sometime in the future.

This is one of the bestest family friendly Marriott resorts we have been to. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The breakfast is awesome. They serve hot Indian breakfast too. They also serve hot Thai curries and soups during the breakfast. The hotel staff did their best to comfort my mother who is on wheelchair and cannot walk. The room assigned to us was not wheelchair accessible and the hotel staff changed it quickly upon our request.
The location of this resort is close to the airport and can be reached within 10 mins drive. The only negative for this hotel is the ocean view. The beach is visible from the hotel; however, it is a little bit of walk to the beach. The water is shallow and kids can definitely enjoy.
Please note, this resort is up in north and 35 mins away from Patong and other nearby attractions.

NO BEACH - Misleading photos

There is NO BEACH here... The primary photos on the website are incredibly misleading. What looks like a large expanse of sand is actually mud. The water is probably 50 yards out and only accessible after walking across muddy ground - definitely not the paradise that it appears from the main photos. There is a beach within a 15-20 minute walk, but the signs about sand flies dissuaded us from making the trek.

If you are looking for a hotel where you get immediate access to a beach in front of the property, this is NOT IT. We ended up spending most of the time in the pool as a result, which was pleasant, but not what the photos led us to believe.

Overall, the rest of the hotel is great. Rooms are nice, and the pool is clean. The restaurants are decent and the breakfast buffet is massive. With the exception of rather spongy baked goods, the breakfast buffet is worth the cost.

Lastly - this hotel is off the beaten path. It takes ~15 minutes to get to the little town north, even though it looks super close on the map. It's also 45 minutes to Phuket city - so plan accordingly.

If you are looking for a nice property with a pool and decent view (but no beach) and don't plan on leaving often, this is a great option. Otherwise, you may want to optimize for beach access and/or proximity to the city center.

The hotel and the pool is nice especially the swim up pool but the restaurant Big Fish is terrible. We ordered a variety of things on the menu and most of them are not good, and really expensive. You can tell they use frozen seafood since it’s powdery and the sashimi are definitely not fresh since it’s slimmy, we told the waitress that’s it’s not eatable, she told us that’s because they smoke their salmon sashimi that’s why it’s brown, and wouldn’t do anything about it.. we spend almost $400 for a family of 4 adults and 4 childrens for foods that are not at par.

Other than that, the hotel staff and everything is good.

There was nothing wrong with the hotel but I did purchase insurance. The airlines was the problem. The were delayed which caused us to miss our flight so we where unable to enjoy our trip and activities our friends paid for in advance. We arrived very late on the second day and was stuck in Korea. We were told we needed to go through you for a one day refund.

Stayed at the Phuket Marriott after flying in late evening. This hotel provided everything we needed and more. Transport to the hotel, seamless check-in process, beautiful property, and extremely large spacious rooms. Everyone on the property makes it a point to go above and beyond to make your stay great. Although we left the following day for another resort we had the opportunity to take advantage of the fitness center, pool, and Big Fish restaurant all which were excellent. We even arranged transport to the Ao Por Grand Marina through the hotel the day we left and the process was simple. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had with made to order items and 100s of other choices. Would highly recommend this place to anyone needing to stay near the airport while coming or going from Phuket!

Absolute rip-off calling this a 5-star. I spent $600/night on an ocean front villa which was the worst decision of my 30-day trip around SE Asia. This is a tired old hotel on a crappy beach - nobody was in the water! This four story hotel doesn’t even have elevators. Many many steps. This may be the crowning blow to turn me against Marriott “luxury” properties once and for all. Hotels.com, you’ve got to do a much better job of ranking these properties. This one really disappointed. The only positive aspect of this property is that it’s close to the airport which is why I chose it. BIG MISTAKE!

The hotel listing is highly misleading. I’m also very disappointed at expedia for not helping us in resolving the issue as we desperately wanted to leave. We booked four rooms and paid premium for them-almost double what other people at the hotel paid. Our rooms were changed/ upgraded however honestly it was more of the same. The beach is awful, water is a Mile away- look on google maps. There is construction on the beach. The staff are absolutely useless! Service is atrocious. You also see and hear planes landing constantly, even throughout the night. Compared to other places we have stayed at in Thailand this truly is the worst. Marriot should be ashamed of themselves. Also note the town is about an hour away due to traffic. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyway. The pool is also overrun with children on hideously large floats- more like Thomas cook kind of place. Just horrid! Please do your research before booking!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach from October 8 to October 9, 2023. Overall, it was a decent experience.

The room was one of the highlights of our stay. It was spacious, well-designed, and provided plenty of room to move around. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide range of selections and options to satisfy various tastes.

However, there were a few areas that needed improvement. The air conditioning in our room was a major issue. It was consistently set at 18 degrees, and we found ourselves quite chilly throughout the night. Additionally, the sink didn't drain properly, and the bathroom curtain was broken. Furthermore, the outlet plugs didn't work for charging our phones, even after an electrician's visit, with only one plug functioning.

I appreciate the prompt response of the Guest Relations Manager, Nargiz, who offered to change our room. However, as we were only staying for one night, we decided not to relocate.

Despite these issues, I would rate my experience at Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach, a 7 out of 10. With some improvements in room maintenance and amenities, it has the potential to offer an even more enjoyable stay.
