Staff was very friendly here. My family really enjoyed being so close to the beach. It was wonderful to just walk down in the evening and have supper along the veach if you wanted.
Walking distance to the night market and 7/11. We enjoyed our stay.

Rustic hotel on Mui Nyang Beach.

This is a rustic little hotel on Mui Nyang beach on Phuket. This place cayers to older Eastern Europeans and families with small kids. It's a little run down, but safe, clean, and somewhat comfortable. The AC unit did not work, but the fan seemed to keep me cool enough. The TV only had two channels -- one in Thai, the other in German. So, if they'd had an English channel, i probably wouldn't have heard it over the fan. The resort itself is fairly quiet and peaceful. However, the restaurant next door runs a disco til the wee hours. The staff is courteous and most helpful. Nice massage place next door, and convenience store across street.

The hotel staff are helpful, pleasant and easy to communicate with. The hotel is on the beach itself and just 30-minute leisurely walk from the airport. You can choose to walk on the sidewalks of main streets (which I did when i checked in) or along the beach (which I did on my departure flight). The location is right at the heart of Nai Yang beach, so you can easily walk to either side of the beach. The sunset is always stunning and the restaurant (Jack's restaurant is the name, if I'm not mistaken) is a very good spot to view the sunset while enjoying the evening beach breeze.

Perfect location but sadly our room was right next to the restaurant on the beach. All we heard was the kitchen staff until 3am and then they started banging and shouting again at 7am. All we could do was laugh through it. Luckily I was with the love of my life so it didn't really matter. Glad I didn't stay more than 2 night though.

On arrival staff didnt know anything that we was arriving and had to ring the owner till they confirmed we had made a booking Kettle broken & the fan made more noise than the builders either side of resort ( Fan changed ), Lats on Bamboo hut balcony not safe in areas some broken & weak in support with some nails protruding. Holes in main posts where wasps had nested,. This hut is not on a beach front and is up a stairs above the main building with building works (DEMOLITION..? ) was been done below/side of us in the Bamboo hut and if that noise didnt wake you the new building on the other side of the resort did, The noise starts 7.30am till 6pm plus in the evening. We was upgraded to a brick room which was as bad as the building work from next door was now at the back of our room and with underpinning/foundations been done on the new build our room shuddered from morning to dusk, The fridge door in the room wouldnt shut so pointless and surely as they could see it wouldnt shut it didnt need me to tell them as they put your free bottled water in it each day. Our room was near the Restaurant so be prepared to see plenty of wild life The rooms were cleaned each day and this lady was a star & come armed with bug spray, I blame Expedia for not having any communication with these Hotel/Resorts owners for any updates of changes when they advertise there places as a package holiday no matter what the price is, THIS IS NOT A QUIET BEACH RESORT at the moment,

Quiet spot

Friendly staff, clean & comfy room. Tasty food in the restaurant. I only wish they had blackout curtains. Located right on the quiet Naiyang beach and next to a national park and minutes from the airport and a lively evening market. Would definitely stay again.

FILTHY HOLE.

The problem with you guys, Hotels.com is that you never print BAD REVIEWS. I have written THREE bad reviews about this filthy, disgusting, overpriced pile of crap and not once have you gone to press. This hotel should be removed from your listing, that is if you had any moral code.

Beach bungalow without the sand

A short trip to Naiyang Beach to volunteer at Soi Dog. The bungalows are good value and comfortable in their simplicity. The proximity to the beach and airport are great.

Clean guesthouse right on the beach at Nai Yang. Family run, staff always obliging. Close to the airport without any noise factor. Pristine unspoilt part of Phuket. Our second stay at Ryan Nai, and will return again.

Resort location is great if looking for a quieter beach near the airport for some R&R. Resort sits right on the beach. Cosy. Rooms are large and comfortable. Unfortunately as I was enjoying the breeze on my chalet balcony, a large rat ran right past me!

On The Beach

Was definitely right on the beach. Beware the bamboo cabins as they are extremely basic. I could not have slept in one as there is not any a/c. But, that is just me. The shower was extremely slippery and care had to be taken until you reach safe footing. Breakfast was good if not exceptional. Being right on the beach certainly make up for any deficiency.

Cute hut on beach.

We stayed in one of the bamboo huts which was basic but lovely. Some holes in mosquito net which meant a few bites. We also didn't have a private bathroom although booking stated private bathroom. Right on the beach and the main road so access to 24hr shop and street food. Lady at desk extremely friendly and helpful and had the most beautiful baby boy! We would definitely stay again.

Budget bamboo cottage basic but Beachfront

Arrived after midnight but there was a person to show us to the room. Bamboo cottage is value for money. Barking dogs are part of the atmospherics. Clean and basic but real.
Restaurant has tasty food. Location location.. next to park and on beach... funky but great.

Great beach and local food

Had booked a bamboohut with private bathroom for 3nights. Sold out, so we had a normal room the first night. The bamboohuts are built on top of the other rooms. Interesting. But right on the beautiful beach. Unfortunately we did not ask for housekeeping the second day resulting in a lot of bites by ants.
The huts are simple but with a nice sittingarea in front.
There is a young couple selling good food from their motorized kitchen just before the umbrellazone

Fine for Passing Through with Minimal Needs

Used the bamboo hut as a shower and nap stop on the way to the airport (2 AM flight). The reception desk is inside a storefront (they sell jewelry and knickknacks). Check-in was easy. We were escorted to our hut.

Turned out to be on the second floor (flat rooftop) of some building (not sure if it is the same one with the lobby). This was disappointing because the idea was a bamboo hut on the beach with an open shower. However, given the thunderstorms that rolled through late that night, the cover was appreciated.

I think the huts had corrugated metal roofs (at least bathroom did) with decorative bamboo. There was parking on the beach (grass/dirt patch between road and sand), not a parking spot--just told to find a place near the scooters. Floor of hut is also bamboo and is elevated from rooftop with step-up to patio (w/ bench) and step-through to bed-room floor. Steep steps on backside of room to bathroom. No doors between hut, step down area, and bathroom. Definitely can hear everything from the adjacent huts.

When leaving (around 11) had to wake up woman sleeping behind lobby counter to check-out. Wasn't provided wifi info so I can't help there.

Bed had mosquito net. Hut had electric/lights. Bathroom had lights but no outlets and no hot water. Two minibars of soap were provided and there was a liquid dispenser with the shower but it was empty. There is a stool in hut.

If enhanced camping is the goal, Ruan Mai works short-term, bring your own toiletries.

Right on the beach and only 8 mins to the airport. Our room was very clean with cold aircon and food was great. Staff were super friendly. Only stayed 1 night cos needed to get an early flight.

Room had no air-con, one small fan, generally clean enough though. Service was very average... as they had no mosquito nets i asked for one, but was given a coil, with no stand or lighter. So we were eaten alive... the bed was terrible. Had a tiny bathroom and the wi-fi didnt work properly. Worst place I've stayed at in 5 countries over 9 weeks.

On the beach!

I booked the bamboo cottage not really understanding exactly what was in store. I was a bit taken back when the woman from the front desk showed me my room and I immediately asked her if they had an upgrade. I was told that I could be moved to a more \"modern\" room (with AC and an indoors bathroom) from the following night. After my first night in the bamboo cottage I realized that it was just a place to sleep after a long day out at the beach and that it was more than enough for me. It actually added to the feeling of a holiday on the beach hearing the waves wash up on the shore as I lay down and turned out the lights. I spent four nights in the bamboo cottage and loved it.

Although my flight left late at night and check out was at noon, the woman at the front kept my bags while I spent the rest of the day at the beach. I was also able to use the shower facilities at no extra charge before leaving to catch my evening flight. Great hospitality and service. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip back to Phuket.

Återkommer med reservation.

Sängen är inte den bästa. Kylen är stor. Personalen är underbar. AC fingerade fint. Tyvärr har de inte lagat saker vi upplevt och rapporterat som trasiga under tre resor på tre år. Lite trist. Men vi kommer åka igen. På grund av läget som är helt fantastiskt.

Nous avons passé juste une nuit dans un cottage bambou c’est à dire un bungalow assez sommaire mais propre. Il est situé sur le toit de l’hotel donc c’est un peu bruyant ( bruit de la pompe à eau). Manque un peu d’intimité mais tres peu cher (chambre en dur plus chere). Mais acces direct à la tres belle plage, on entend le bruit des vagues. Resto tres correct et abordable

Je ne suis resté qu'une nuit au Ruan Mai Naiyang Beach Resort, en attendant de prendre mon avion à l'aéroport Phuket. C'est sa proximité immédiate avec l'aéroport mais aussi avec la plage et un parc national qui m'a poussé à choisir cet hôtel. Je n'y suis resté que quelques heures, mon avion décollant à 6h du matin. La réception de l'hôtel s'est occupé très aimablement de réserver mon taxi pour l'aéroport.

Nice Bamboo Cottage

A nice Bamboo Cottage, not in a nice surrounding at the beach, but on a rooftop of another building.
Special feature is at the most 6 m² space for 2 persons including the mattress thrown on the ground.
No further furniture in the \"room\", the window is as well made from bamboo so nowbody can look inside (or outside). I left asap to another accomodation.

Hotellet var dubbelbokat när vi kom dit. Vi blev då ivägskickade till ett annat hotell i deras regi som låg 1,5 km därifrån och lika långt från stranden. Hotellet låg i ett skogsparti vid vägen och saknade frukostmöjligheter som vi bokat. Rummen ofräscha och saknade sängkläder. Ingen reception och personalen, en enda person som inte pratade någon engelska var inte till någon hjälp. Kunde inte förmå mig att stanna kvar och bokade nytt hotell.

Primitiv overnatning i en bambushytte med en madras på gulvet, et myggenet og en ventilator til at holde temperaturen nede. Der er dog eget toilet og bad til hytten, men forvent ikke det varmeste vand fra bruseren. Venligt men ikke det hurtigste personale i restauranten men et godt udvalg på menukortet. Hotellet ligger på en dejlig strand. Vælger man bambushytten er det en oplevelse men hotellet har også komfortable værelset at byde på.

Totally overpriced low budget

I have booked a bamboo Cottage with own bathroom. When I arrived, they showed me the Cottage. I was disappointed, that I couldn't say a word at the first moment. It was only a mattress on the floor, mosquito net and a fan. They showed me the bathroom which was to be shared with others.
After taking a deep breathe I checked my booking. I couldn't find any pictures of this bamboo hut. However my booking said that I have my \"own bathroom\". So I went back to the reception and showed them my reservation. They were prepared for my complaint and apologized that they have made a mistake giving me the wrong key. I got a new bamboo hut. The only thing which was different was that I had my own toilet and shower (outside the hut).
Since I arrived in the evening, already first rats came out running around... Wifi was so bad, that I had to do some of my (business calls) out of the lobby. Additionally there was no privacy neither in the cottage nor on the toilet since there are real walls. This also hit in during the night - you can hear the bars, 100 dogs barking at night, the neighbours, the waves in the sea...
All in all very disappointing. I would ask for some money back. I have travelled approx. 50 times to Thailand, but never had such a bad \"value for money\" situation.

Hôtel accueillant proche de la plage

Client depuis des années dans cet hôtel c'est avec plaisir que nous retournons au Ruan Mai lors de nos séjours sur Phuket. Les chambres sont simples mais fonctionnelles.
Nai yang beach n'est pas encore envahi par des hordes de touristes, la plage est calme (pas de jet ski, de parachutes ascensionnels etc... ). Si vous êtes un fêtard passez votre chemin et allez au sud de l'île.
Petit bémol : depuis l'ouverture du nouvel aéroport et la création de nouvelles piste pour les gros porteurs, certains jours on entend quelques avions au décollage.

Je connaissais nayoung pour y avoir déjà séjourné hôtel situer à 5 minutes de l'aéroport et sur la plage directement les chambres sont simples mais correct on en a pour le prix le personnel accueillant et très serviable pour le petit-déjeuner privilégier les pancakes à la banane terrible petit hic si vous voulez un deuxième café il est payant même en ayant pris chambre avec petit-déjeuner sinon vous sortez de la chambre et vous êtes directement sur la plage endroit idéal pour se reposer avant de rentrer la plage de Nai Yang es vraiment très belle et l'eau très chaude

買い物に行くのに、専属の自家用タクシーで連れて行ってもらった。非常に助かった。　また、ホテルの食事は安くまた、ボリュームたっぷり。　ビーチは遠浅で子供連れには最高の場所ではないだろうか。

Great location, budget bungalow and bed bugs!

First the pros, then the cons.
Pros: We chose Ruan Mai's bamboo bungalows due to its location super close to the beach and low price. Staff was friendly and Nai Yang was nice with great beaches, food and less touristy than i.e. Karon, Kata and Phuket Town.
Cons: We knew that we booked a budget hotel, but was a little surprised by its simpel interior (bed, fan, mosquitoe net and a couple of chairs on the patio) - i.e. no furniture to store your clothes and no sheet under the cover. And then bed bugs! Was bitten several times and even found a bug crawling on me. Went to the reception with the bug and after some bargaining we were moved to a different bungalow. Unfortunately, this one also had bed bugs. Unfortunately, they didn't have any other rooms available and since we were flying home the day after we decided to 'survive' another night despite the bed bugs.
Due to my experience with the bed bugs, I can't recommend the bungalows. On the other hand, Nai Yang was great.

Güstiges Hotel, direkt am Strand

Ein einfaches, günstiges Hotel mit direkter Strandlage. Der Ort ist ziemlich touristisch geprägt, daher sind zahlreiche Bars und Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Umgebung zu finden. Der Strand ist weitläufig ist auch in der Hauptsaison nicht sehr voll. Am nördlichen Ende kann man sogar schnorcheln.

Duschwasser war kalt , Renterparadis.. keine Liegeplätze am Strand ...nur für Rentner / ziemlich laut in der Hütte wenn es regnet , Strand ist jetz nicht so schön!
