We are traveling with three young children (5y, 3y, 18m) the slide and play room kept them entertained and the bunk beds and baby cot were a huge blessing! I also loved the self serve water flasks they provided. It was both eco friendly and helped us stay hydrated as we didn’t feel like we needed to continually ask for more water (or buy more bottled water).

Photos don’t match with original set up. Good service. We had to leave airport at 6:30am but their breakfast would open at 7:00am. They provided excellent packed breakfast at 6:00am. Need to update their towels and bedsheets.

this hotel is nicely set up, with a kids play room and slide which is great for going from 2nd to ground floor (1st), nice theme etc, not far to walk (10 to 15 min)to bts, silom rd etc , rooms are small, toilet is tight for a western tall man, rooms are due for a good thorough clean, showers need a good scrub or bleach. would i recommend, yes for a day or 2 it does its purpose

This hotel is new and clean. Very spacious single room and the super single bed is a bit wider then usual, mattress is comfortable and not too hard.

Very clean and cosy simple decor and amenties with daily housekeeping.

It is a pity that there are 2 major downsides for me personally. The walls of the hotel are too thin, even with ear plugs I can hear everything in the corridor and my neighbour singing! Also, the hotel is quite far from Chong Nonsi BTS station and if the weather is hot, it’s impossible to walk without melting and if you party into the night, it’s not easy to find your way back to the hotel from BTS by foot.

Its really a pity because this hotel is so nice in terms of the room decor, size, bed and overall room set up but I could not look past these 2 major deterring factors.

We have two bookings at hotel Kokotel, both were three nights. We left to Phuket and Khao Lak and returned to this hotel. We stored our suitcases there, it was good without any problem. The first stay was in general good, only one thing should be improved is their Wifi. The wifi kicked us out every time. We have to log in again and again every day, it sucks. Kokotel has a slide and play room for small kids, I would recommend family who has small kids to go to Kokotel. A double room maybe a bit narrow for a family of three, we stayed both stays at a double room, slept very bad because the bed is not wide enough for 3 persons. The room is tiny, like typical Japanese hotel If you’re tall, you will have problem! The toilet and bathroom are separated in a small cube room with glass doors. If you’re tall, you can’t close the door of the toilet, and the opposite of the toilet is a big mirror of the closet. This means you will have to see yourself sitting in the toilet, hahahaa… The staffs are friendly and helpful. Kokotel is very attentive, they think of every tiny thing. For instance, they provided two glass bottles so that you can refill drinking water (hot, warm and cold water) in the corridor every day. There is a socket box on the desk, so family member do not have to fight for charging phone and tablets. They have pretty much every thing you need during your stay. Even though the room is tiny, but they have enough compartment for your stuff and clothes.

The hotel is right on the edge of the financial district. It’s easily accessible and the perfect economical hotel for kids (we have 3). It’s clean, functional, and has all the amenities for a family—restaurant, seating, slide, Infant/toddler playroom. The air conditioning work great, beds were comfortable, and had more than enough pillows. Although the room was small, we expected as much being in a smaller hotel in Bangkok.

Also, the hotel is on Silom Road, which, for us, was the perfect location if you like to walk, which we do. A local farmers market was within a few blocks, the night market was a bit of a walk but we enjoyed walking, the train station was nearby, as was the King Power Mahanakhon. There are late-night markets (e.g., 7-Eleven) open if you need a late-night snack or something to drink.

The staff speak English, are amazingly kind and helpful, and very knowledgeable.

We’d stay here again for sure. There’s not really anything to complain about for us.

Great experience at Kokotel! The staff really make the place. All the staff were excellent, always smiling, friendly and welcoming! The place is great for kids, all the kids enjoyed the 2nd floor playroom and slide. The cafe was also great. Breakfast dishes and coffee were awesome every morning! The room was clean, beds comfortable and wifi dependable. The location was good for silom area. There was also washing machines and driers on the 8th floor which was very convenient.

Cute hotel albeit further away from Silom strip

Location is a little far from the main silom strip, but the hotel is cute and unique in its own way. The single room was huge with bath, toilet and the sink area in their own individual areas. Unfortunately, my room’s window faced an empty wall.

Wow. This place is amazing! Kid and adult super friendly! Not only was the room modern and clean, the staff was really helpful in giving directions to sites and shopping and always had a smile! The food here is also excellent! I will not hesitate to stay here again in the near future. Kokotel is awesome! I’m extremely pleased with my decision to book here.

Decent little hotel. Overall appears very cute and comfy due to the branding, but the rooms are a bit spartan and poorly designed. No bar soap in the room or hand towels, and when I called reception to ask about them I was insistently told they were there, until I insisted they were not and then they told me they were not provided... :S Maybe just a communication breakdown. Sheets and towels did have some minor stains. Bathroom was poorly designed and required us to use the toilet with the door opened so we wouldn't bump our heads. Hallway sound insulation was also poor, but we didn't have any trouble sleeping when it was late and quiet.

All in all, some gripes but nothing terrible. Front staff were nice when I talked to them. Overall I wanted to love this hotel but it ended up just being fine.

A Good Family Friendly Hotel In The City.

The hotel is cozy with nice warmth environment. We are welcomed by the friendly staffs and the food served was tasty and affordable. The room is clean and cozy too, however, the steps in the room are a little too high especially for senior or kids to climb, and the open concept toilet are quite small with very limited space inside the cubicle. Anyway, everything is still good and perhaps the hotel could provide a complimentary shuttle service for guest to the nearest BTS station.

Comfy and clean!

A wonderful little hotel in the middle of Bangkok. Very comfortable and very clean. Lovely shower with toiletries provided. Staff are friendly. The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from Pat Pong market and street food as well as Boots and western cafes and restaurants. It's a 15 minute walk from the river front. Very easy to get to hop-on-hop-off boats at about 180 Baht for a day pass. Definitely made our experience that much better!

They have a excellent cafe, kind of mixed with thai and japanese.
It is open till late, so if you check in late, and don't have enough energy to go out to the night market, the cafe will definitely be a good place.

It might be a bit of a walk from the station, but you mostly walk on the main road, which won't be so dangerous.
If you have a big luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. Be sure that you check that the meter is on. Some taxi driver around the area tries to rip you off if you look like a tourist.

Price and location good but had other problems

We stayed 4 nights in the family room. The amenities in the bathroom weren't replaced. We ran out of the bathroom tissue and had to ask for it on our 3rd night.
Since the bathroom did not have a separate door, it was only separated by a curtain. The bedroom smelled like bathroom, the smell was hard to ignore.
The bed sheets and towels had stains on it.
The location and price was good but sadly the cleanliness of the room was just really bad.
The wifi was also a horrible experience, it expired every 4 hours and we had to ask a new set of wifi passwords every day.

Pleasant, modern and cosy hotel

Room is cosy, modern and clean. Love the fact that they have a smartTV in the room for you to project your Youtube vids from phone onto TVscreen. Various usb chargers available to charge phone and camera. Hotel is located a little off the main touristy spots, so i eneded up takin BTS and ferry to reach my destinations. Room size is considered ok for me. There are some good restuarants along the journey from hotel to BTS station, might want to check them out. The Kokotel cafe itself has good food and service but may be a bit pricey for budget travellers.

The hotel is not exactly near tourist sites, but oit is at least walkable and easy to navigate to the BTS station. I would recommend this hotel to those who wish to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, do not mind travelling a little more to reach tourist destinations, and return by late evening/night to chill out in the room.

Stayed 4 nts in single room 66. Loved it all except the water in shower was luke warm even though tap at basin produced very hot water. It didn't matter on hot days but not great on rainy cooler days. Did tell them but no one sorted it out properly.
Bed really comfortable.
Great food and massages close by.
Loved the welcome note and origami sheep.

Me and my friends had gone to Bangkok for 5 days and booked to stay at this hotel. everything was smooth. the room was really neat and had all the necessary equipment including charging cables, a mini fridge, and water bottles. the beds were super comfy and I got a good nights sleep each day. the hotel staff was friendly as well and assisted me with whatever me and my friends wanted. the wifi is fast too and easy to connect. If I were to visit Bangkok again I would definitely stay here again. Also its about a 5-6 minute walk from the Patpong night market. which is where me and my friends went to almost daily.

Small, but smart! Overall great!

My family had a great stay at Kokotel, first of all because they had a play room and a big slide for the children, but also the smartness of the rooms. No, they are not big, but we already knew that before we came, but the beds, pillows and comforters were great. The charging opportunities were great and you can even plug the USB in the wall. Tiny bathroom and toilet, but it worked well, they were separated which was ideal for us. Big cabinet. Friendly staff! I know Thai, but they were good in English as well. Some good food in their cafe was definitely a bonus. Will definitely recommend Kokotel!

Fantastic Family Hostel!

This is a great hostel for a family with a little child! We have a 3-year old toddler and it was a great hostel to be with her. In addition to the big blue slide that's in the lobby, there is a small playroom with a small ball pit and toys and books. There's also a little tv room where there are DVDs (we didn't use it, but we saw other families who were watching DVDs there). The food that is available from the hostel is a bit on the pricey side but is really tasty.

The staff helped us get taxis, which was nice. It is within walking distance (20 minutes ish?) to Lumphini Park and to the Patpong night market and to several public transportation stops.

Great rooms, great value and nice people.

If you need a funky boutique hotel without splurging too much, Kokotel is it. Everything suited our needs including the free wifi, nice cafe and nicely decorated rooms. The only disdavantage would be the location been a walk to the nearest bts, but it didnt bother us at all as the taxi cost only thb40 to reach the bts. Will stay here again.

Cute hotel - had a good experience and value for money.

Only negative part is that Uber sometimes cannot locate the hotel and will stop behind the building.

Also, encountered one staff (think she's Thai) on 10 Dec 2016 (morning about 10.45am) at the counter. She was rather unpleasant with a sour look.

Service at the counter for payment etc. could be more efficient/faster.

My stay at kokotel was simply fabulous. The room was very trendy and clean. It was not smaller but adequate enough for two people.

The reception was very helpful and local map was given.

The only area of improvement is to provide electric kettle and tea / coffee satchets

Very comfortable room on a main Bangkok road, despite facing the main road there was no sound from below. Very good selection of TV channels to access. Japanese hotel, so expect fellow Japanese guests to be posing for pictures on the indoor slide. In fact this maybe explains why there is a slide in the first place

I stayed here for 5 nights. Room service was super good, breakfast was great, comfy bed, free toiletries and water bottled, walking distance to Lumphini Park and BTS Chong Nonsi station and Sala Daeng station, walking distance to PatPong Night Market and Naraya Store! But the view was not so nice (facing a car park building), aircon is not cold and the clothes hanger in the shower room was way too high for an average asian girl like me. But I will still recommend this hotel to anyone especially for solo traveller.

Accessible location for facilities and tours

The hotel staff were nice and pleasant. The reception area is aesthetically pleasing with slides and dolls. The kids play area is very attractive with lot of toys, bean bag chairs and a movie room. The rooms were quite cozy and very well maintained. The rooms are kept clean and well made. You have spacious and comfy beds with equally spacious wardrobes. Although I felt that the toilet and the shower were a bit cramped. The room could have better lighting (tungsten lamps, I'm not a fan).

i checked in around late afternoon. the front desk staff were smiley and helpful. it was a quick and easy check in process. as i entered my room, it seems simple, clean and relax ambience. the bed and pillows were very comfortable. i enjoyed my four nites stay overthere. the front desk staff were very helpful especially khun peacock. she is always willing to help with my requests. thank you khun peacock na! the cafe food were delicious too. i like the lemon mint soda drink and the buttermilk pancakes the most.

4th time here Kokotel

This is my 4th time stay at Kokotel surawong which nearby my parent home and my head office. Staffs were very nice and helpful. Room is confortble but still need to improve cleaning standard, since Many time I enter to the room on the first day will found some small garbage hiding below bed or sofa. Cafe Menu should create something simple or basic to eat since most of menu are too difficult to eat for Thai customers. Overall is fine

Nice Decorative Hotel

Actually, I really love their decoration and in-room comfortable. Also, it really convenient for me to transportation both of my parent's home and my company since I stayed here for business meeting. But there still some point could be improve. 1. My room was queen bed size but their bed base are for king bed size. When I walk in room their many time My leg hit on those bed base (made from wooden). Actually I already got accident from that but hotel staff immediately bring me first-aid kit. So, I really appreciate their help. 2. First enter to the room, I still found some garbage on the floor. They should improve or cross check housemaid after done cleaning. 3. Many times I have to ask for thoothpaste kit since some day they provide for us only 1 kit, someday no. 4. Lastday, housemaid forgot to provide me 2 bottle of water and I have to call to ask from hotel staff. My point is many time I also feel uncomfortable if I have to keep request many thing and many times, as well as hotel staff may also feel uncomfortable if they have to face this kind of customers much more as well. Since I work in service industry also, I believe that if they could improve those point especially final check housemaid performance and set standard more strictly, their hotel would be the best place for most visitors to come back !!

Clean, high tech and friendly hotel

The room which I booked has 3 mattress. It really suitable for my family of 6. ( I took 2 rooms ). The room is clean, with fast wifi, towel changed everyday, the aircond is superb, near to a market and 7-11 too. It is the 1st hotel I ever encountered that come with umbrella and torch light in the room. The receptionist is friendly and know how to speak simple English and eager to help us. The only con will be its size. A little bit small.

I love it, totally worth the price. The hostel is pretty cute, easy to find. The room is cosy and it is great for group of friends. Will recommend it for everyone

8 Nights in Bangkok and More Night in the Future

This boutique hotel just opened in Feb.

I was in room seventy-four. It's clean, quiet and has enough space to move around. I'm not sure but I think housekeeping cleans the room twice a day.

The staff are all friendly and informative. It's always nice to see smiles when they greet you.

The hotel location is very close to Silom area, just five to twenty min walking distance to the clubs, bars, massage places, saunas, Patpong Night Market, and the BTS Skytrain and MRT subway, which is the best way to travel around Bangkok proper (I think so!). Also it's at least twenty minute walk to River City, where you can take the river ferry. But you can easily flag taxicabs if you need one (just make sure to have the driver turn on the meter).

It was very safe to walk back to the hotel even after midnight. The hotel has security right outside.

The hotel also has their cafe serving really fine tasting food. I love their spicy pork burger and all their breakfast items. But of course, you will have to try the street foods, as well.

There's also a laundry area, which I didn't have a chance to use (but will next time). Detergent is provided. You just need coins for the machines.

Just one minor thing, the shower in my room leaks into the toilet area. Maybe some caulking will solve the problem.

But overall, I do recommend this hotel. I definitely will be coming back to stay at this facility. Thank you so much Kokotel Surawong and staff. You've made my stay a very pleasant one!

Can get a better hotel somewhere around

No coffee or tea available in room, you go down everything will charge 10% service. Air con is bad. blowing air right onto your face when you sleep. adjustment doesn't make any difference. Room facing the main road. motorbike noise will wake you up every five minutes. Night mare experience.

Room was a littel bit too small, but was ok since we were just sleeping there. Great for kids to have playroom and TV room and also a slide. Very clean, overall great stay. Nearby BTS and metro station.

Loved it!

Very clean, yummy food and the comfiest bed ever!! Staff were lovely, allowed to check-in early as room was ready. Trendy decor around the hotel and rooms.
Near Chinatown, Patpong Markets and 2nd best restaurant in Bangkok! Numerous shops and restaurants very close by.
Loved the style of the rooms, came with lots of little toiletries.
I will mention the toilet and shower glass walls do not reach the ceiling so if you don't mind your travelling partner hearing you go to the loo you're all good!

New hotel in the centre of Bangkok

We loved this hotel. Smart, boutique design, clean, great service, and the restaurant had amazing options for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We will be back for sure and we 100% recommend the hotel to both leisure and business travellers. The free wifi was excellent! The location is great for visiting Bangkok. The hotel is brand new too! Thank you Kokotel team for making our vacation in Bangkok so fun.

スタッフのサービスもよく、一階にカフェもありとても良かったです。
強いて言えば、部屋が少し暗かったのでお化粧とかする時困りました。
洗濯と乾燥機があるのも便利でしたが10バーツコインしか使えないので、用意が必要です。
総じて満足です。特にスタッフさん優しかったです。
