The Oaks Hotel was clean, quiet, and convenient. I liked the size of the rooms and the bathroom, and the beds were very comfortable. We had adjoining rooms and that worked out perfectly. The property is located right off the highway but it is still very quiet. It was not far from downtown Paso Robles, and convenient to get downtown to eat. The staff was very helpful, and I was excited to start off my trip home this morning with yummy cookies to accompany my cup of coffee. Thank you.

Our air conditioning was broken. We had to stay in a hot room until the next morning when they tried to fix it, which they couldn’t. Staff moved us to another room but a few hours later the owner of the hotel wanted us to move back to the other room after he said the air conditioning was fixed. Tiny desk staff was fine the owner was an idiot for confronting us. I would not stay here again. The location is bad I saw several homeless people out front. No security guards.

Missed the breakfast as we slept in a bit. Front desk staff, again so friendly, recommended a brunch spot that was very good. Our stay was outstanding. Thank you

It is at a very convenient spot near the freeway. Not a scenic spot, but easy to go everywhere. Clean, hot shower, comforable bed, courteous staff, and nice room. The TV channels were strangely hard to work with (we never did figure it out). The breakfast was very good - eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffle were all tasty. Potatoes were so-so. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I would recommend.

The breakfast staff didn’t keep silverware available one day. No milk another day. No real cream for the coffee.

Our suite had a nice couch, but no table. The Oaks is in wine country and used to have real glasses in the rooms. No more.

Checking staff was very friendly and got us to our room very quickly. We did have a dog with us which did not affect the process. Room was nice and clean, and bathroom was very nice. No true complaints except we were not fans of the breakfast. We were NOT expecting gourmet but just didnt taste good and the selection was minimal.

Other than that, we would stay again !

First, the staff was friendly and helpful. What I would consider \"lacking\" is the breakfast, which could be more appealing in presentation and the coffee was at times not close to warm. I know breakfast \"bars\" can leave something to be desired, and this one does. If I had to do over again, I would have gone out for breakfast. The light fixture in our bathroom shower is missing, which was very \"low standard\" when you look up and see the bulb in the fixture hanging there. The room was clean, I will say that. That's not nothing. It is an \"old\" property, so you can only do so much. I get that. I believe the charge of $300/night, with another $90 in taxes, so $710 for TWO nights total is NOT WORTH what you get. That is not a $300/night hotel. I understand it's Paso Robles and places are charging more. This hotel was near an industrial part of the city with our room overlooking a baron piece of property full of dilapidated equipment, basically junk, and the area was just \"seedy\". I will take some blame and say we should have done our homework better. It was just not up to the standard we are used to; that's on us. I asked for an invoice, and the desk clerk said, \"Expedia will send it to you.\" Well, what if the charges were wrong?? That seems like \"passing the buck\" to me, and if that is an Expedia price, what is THEIR price??

The staff that checked me in was super friendly and helpful!!! Felt like she was my friend. We are a family of 6 so we can just go to relax away from home. It was very windy, so we didn't get in the pool but loved the breakfast. The young guy cleaning up the tables was super nice and attentive in there. The AC WAS perfect. Loved the many entrances. Even the people staying there that I would bump in the hallway was friendly. We are ready to go back. Loved it all.

Room was cleaned well. Food when available was good.

The staff, room and property were great, and the morning breakfast was good, fresh and hot.
The Heating and AC and shower head and pressure were all great.
Our only frustration was with the TV and remote. It is very confusing how to pick channels without personal instruction from the hotel staff. It is a system we have never encountered before.
We would have scored our stay 5 stars if the TV remote and channel selection were \"normal\"!

The hotel is very nice (at first glance) a clean well appointed lobby. The room is large and appears very clean at first glance.

When we crawled into bed at night we found two HUGE ugly stains on the top sheet... clearly bodily fluid. The sheets were clean but stained so staff put them on that way (so gross).

Staff brought us new linens and we remade the bed. The nighttime staff was very apologetic and nice.

Needless to say I did not sleep well. The sheets overall were poor quality, thin and I laid awake all night wondering what other stains were in the bed.

In the morning we noticed we had only ONE coffee pod and the sugar/creamer packet was lacking items (napkin and stir stick as well as swt&lo), as if it had been opened

We brought this up to Maria at the front desk and asked to speak to Sherry (the manager). \"Sherry is off until Wednesday\"... period, no accomodation, no apology She actually told my husband to step away from the desk and that he was \"not listening\" ZERO apology or acknowledgement that the sheets were SO GROSS with obvious liquid sweat stains

We requested that Sherry please call so we could and allow us to explain... 48 hours later we have heard nothing.

The breakfast was delicious, the young lady serving was sweet and did a great job. But there were SO many other areas lacking attention and staff who were unwilling to make ANY accommodation for the disgusting nature of our bed let alone be kind or apologize.

We met the staff once at breakfast on our last day. Otherwise at our check in there was no one. Not the greatest of welcomes. I would have rated the hotel a 4 star but it just needs a facelift. The shower and lovely bathtub was inviting but the water pressure so low it would have taken hours to fill the tub.

This was a last minute stay on my way home to (more) Northern California and it couldn’t have been better! Not only was the room extremely affordable; I also was able to bring my pup, in a dog friendly room!

The front desk clerk was extremely friendly and the room was perfect! Bed was comfortable, room was clean and quiet, breakfast is included (although I didn’t eat, it’s a nice touch)!

Everything about this place feels very dated especially the rooms. Best part was the water pressure was good but unfortunately our drain was nearly completely backed up so while showering would fill up (and it was in the fill up position to allow water to drain). Check in took surprisingly long considering I prepaid. They had cookies for guests but they were devoid of flavor. Parking was also a challenge when we got back late one night as the hotel doesn’t seem to have an adequate sized lot.

Better than I expected! Room was clean, robes available, extra blanket right where I looked for it, hair dryer, iron & full ironing board. Front desk was always there with a smile. Breakfast was great and included many hot dishes. Pet friendly but I never found a pet relief area. Although I felt safe at the hotel, I didn’t feel safe taking my dog for a walk in the immediate area.

One of our best surprises was stopping at the Oaks hotel. Had a pleasant experience. Pet friendly. A fantastic room. Very quiet. Has a little bar at the reception area and a nice hot breakfast. We were totally satisfied with every part of our trip. Stopping here. It was a last-minute decision. And next time we go back to Paso Robles we will definitely stay there.

Arrived and was told that all they had available for Expedia guest was a room for disabled guest. I said we requested a room with two queen beds and that is what I paid for. Ryan said we had to pay $40 each night for an upgrade to the room I originally booked. Then we requested our room cleaned and had to tell front desk it was not. The person at the front desk said cleaning staff was gone but he could take out the trash and get us clean towels but did not know how to make up beds. I requested a flat pillow and they only had one size. I went to TJ Max and purchased new pillow. At check out I wanted a receipt to see the additional charged because of my room assignment. They threw the blame game at Expedia. I don’t understand the whole mix up if my confirmation had the correct information. I just felt very upset and disappointed. Expedia is welcome to reach out to me at my information.

Booked the room called into request 3rd floor and instead of switching it to the 3rd floor the gal just leaves a note. So once we checked in the man told us we could have a suite on the 3rd floor for an extra cost. Dont feel like we should pay more for the mistake that was theirs. Once on the bottom floor we heard the water from the pipes up above us that wasnt all night but from up above showering. But the breakfast was really good and fresh. There was a chef and the lady whos in charge of the breakfast area she did an awesome job keeping things stocked and clean.

Stayed here for two nights, would recommend and stay here again. Solo traveler with my dog, they have a reasonable pet fee and policy. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable and they had a complimentary breakfast with lots of options. Well worth the price and good location near restaurants and wineries.

They do have a doggy relief area but owners did not clean up after their pets. There was a family that checked in on the second night that allowed their kids to run and scream down the hallways that woke us up. Those are the only two real complaints I had.

Overall positive experience.

The Breakfast Buffet had a nice variety of food. The staff was very accommodating. Josue was very helpful on recommending some awesome local establishments and attractions. The Bar in the hotel was small but nice. The Jacuzzi was nice, pool was freezing. The are pet friendly but will charge for animal if not a service. All in all my family and i really enjoyed oir stay. We will definitely return if ever in the area again.
