Truthfully, there were moments I could have given this place one star but Pablo was amazing and made fabulous breakfasts. There was a sewage smell in our bathroom both mornings that was unpleasant but everything else, especially Pablo, was wonderful. It is definitely a quirky place but adorable.

The property location is close to many of the attractions. The property decorative was cool, the decor setting was feel of n the 60s, very imaginery.
Cofee & tea is vailable all the time but there was no milk. The breakfast was very simple. You can eat on the balcony looking at a wonderful view but the canteen is some distance away. Room 1 and 2 are interconnected and so you can hear the noise nxt door,
Nevertheless a cool place to stay for a couple of nights.
Ronda is beautiful for a day out.

This is a most unusual and funky hotel so only go there if you have an imagination! Caesar
Greeted us so warmly & immediately called to make reservations for a fabulous Flamenco show. For breakfast, Pablo served us coffee & homemade bread, delicious fresh fruit, ham, cheese, homemade cake etc. One would likely call the hotel ‘shabby’ but the personality of its owners & its location made it a lovely overnight experience in Ronda

Quaint, Quirky and Cool

A lovely little hotel close to the centre of Ronda. The rooms were both old world and quirky. Utterly under used back garden area where you could sit drinking wine for hours looking over the Ronda country side.
The breakfast menu seemed restrictive but it was actually lovely. Freshly made bread and gluten free bread for us coeliacs. Pablo who served us was fantastic and gave great advice on things to do.
If we go back to Ronda I know where we will stay.

A funky hotel in the new town area of Ronda. The room decor was eclectic including the toilet which had a pull down rope to flush it. The pool was really cold so I didn't stay in it long and there was no one around to staff the bars, so I can't rate that. The breakfast was really good. But what was most disappointing is the poor TV reception and poor wifi. When there's no one around to socilize with in the public areas of the hotel, the lack of wifi and tv reception was glaringly obvious.

Lovey quirky friendly place

We loved this hotel. The staff were incredible - stayed open late to welcome us after a late flight and detoured route, helped us find a parking space and fantastic at breakfast and with our baby. Really quirky touches throughout and lovely relaxed vibe. Only a minute or two’s walk to the old bridge. We’ll be returning!

If it’s a different experience you want, this is the hotel for you. It’s hard to describe as it’s so unique. Great gardens. Free bar (self service) and great breakfast.
As the hotel is located down a very steep hill, anyone with mobility issues will struggle - we had to use taxis.

Was Leary when we checked in. Very quirky place. But it was the cleanest room we stayed in in our whole trip and the staff was great. Loved the self serve bar/refreshments and the terrace views were awesome. Breakfast was exceptional and the restaurant staff were terrific. I’d definitely stay there again.

Quirky hotel with interesting decorations. I stayed in Room 2. The room did not look the same from Hotel.com. But I was too tired to ask about it. The room was comfortable. Good heating system, fast hot water for shower. Help yourself service to all kinds of drinks is a very nice gesture. The best thing of this hotel is the service. Hotel staff were always ready to help. Breakfast is The best I ever had in hotels. Pablo the cute chef is a great cook! He can whip up all sorts of dishes even crepes on the go. He makes sure his guests live the restaurant with a belly full! I really enjoy staying here and will highly recommend.

I Want To Return To This Hotel

Hard to drive to down narrow steep streets, but the enjoyment of this small hotel is well worth the effort. Located near the old bridge and above the arabic baths, the hotel is staffed by enthusiastic folks who immediately make you feel welcome. Kitchen staff in the morning will cook you whatever they have at your request. Also have unique items such as salmon tartar with mangoes.....Superb and eclectic, every nook is filled with charming modernist art which is both kitschy and retro.The garden is exactly as shown in photos & much more with stunning overlook. Perfect for relaxing with a beer or wine (both free anytime of day as you serve yourself). Pool is inviting as is sauna. You will not be disappointed. Plenty of parking on the street in front of the hotel.

Definitely a hotel to visit again !

This is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Not only is Ronda an experience but the hotel is as well. All the staff are incredible and the included breakfast and snacks are delicious as well as not being your standard fare. It was so much fun to wander around the hotel to see all the interesting courtyards, patios and rooms.

Awesome Unique Artsy Funky Hotel

What a great Artsy hotel. I had Room 1 downstairs near the lobby. There are creative artistic touches everywhere in the style of a Bohemian Gaudi. Very nicely done. Open bar with not-so-great wine and untried beer on tap. Free snacks, drinks, and a very good free breakfast. Lots of common area charm including a pool, massage room, sauna, library, wine room, 2 terraces, aviary, fish ponds, and mini bamboo forest.
Great location and a kind and helpful staff.
Room 1 was slightly small but clean and nice. No refrigerator although 3 fridges in public area. No safe in the room. Interesting toilet. Some street noise and reception/bar area noise in room. Unusable slow internet.
A painting fell off the wall at 4:00 AM. I was in bed and nobody was banging on the wall. It just fell and broke. Weird. Maybe ghost hunters might be interested in Room 1.
I'd definitely return and would enthusiastically recommend this hotel.

Fabulous experience

The hotel has free wine & beer and a number of locations on the premises to sit & relax. The decor is fun & quirky. The location is walking distance to both bridges. The staff is delightful, but the absolute best thing about the hotel is the amazing breakfast prepared by the chef using fruit & vegetables grown on the owner's farm. Great experience!

Quirky, fun, and welcoming!

My husband, daughter and I loved this place. It is quirky. If you need a marble bathroom drive on by. Our welcome was warm. The hotel provides free drinks, including wine and beer, a delicious free breakfast. There was a gorgeous small patio area where we enjoyed great views overlooking the countryside. The room was not fancy but was very comfortable. We loved the whole vibe of the place, but don't come if you don't have a sense of humor. Would return if ever in the area again. (This was definitely my daughter's #1 stop on our trip).

Simply great. Charming decor. Lovely pool and balconies with views of the countryside and town. Short walking distance to all the sights with stunning vistas along the way. Copious made to order breakfast included in the price. Beer on tap and local wine available at all hours. And the whimsical decor with plates and silverware tucked into the trunk of a VW. I took as many photos of the hotel and from the hotel as I took in town. Highly recommended. You can use Ronda as a base as we did and the surrounding Pueblo's blancos.

Great staff and fun, very different hotel.

We stayed 2 nights and spent a lot of time at the hotel enjoying the art and patios. The breakfasts were varied and fun as well. For us, the only drawback was the steep uphill walk into town, being seniors with some mobility limitations. However it was easy to call a cab and once at the top it was flat and compact. The patrons seemed on the younger side compared to us, and enjoyed the pool area and the open bar. There is a small shop nearby for basic staples. We would recommend a stay here to enjoy the view over the hills in the back patio and the interesting art and food.

AWESOME HOTEL! One of most memorable ever!

In my 20 plus years of traveling this is one of the most memorable hotels ever (that is across the North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia). Think of it as a W Hotel on a crazy acid trip....or the community feel of a hostel but with the amenities of a nice hotel. We ended up at the bar chatting with guests until 2:30am.

The hotel is really funking (if you have children, this hotel is NOT fo you). Some of the things may be NSW.

Hotel had an open self serve bard with beer and wine (included in the price) and a gourment breakfast (included in the price)..it wasn't fine dining but this is not a typical \"hotel\" buffet breakfast...you can eat all you wan't but the cook doesn't it right there for you (quail eggs and chorizo was amazing).

The staff is really helpful and classy.

For parking you just have to find a spot in the neighbordhood...it is really not that hard though and we had no trouble over 3 nights.

If we are EVER in southern spain again, we must stay there. I would rather do day trips (We actually did one to Gilbralter) than stay in another town.

We spent 2 nights in this very unique hotel. Our room was on the top floor with small outdoor terrace overlooking the pool & beautiful countryside beyond. The staff & hotel services are extraordinary. They did our laundry for a small fee, provided free self serve beverages, including beer, wine , juices, soda, milk, coffee & water. The breakfast buffet was exceptional! Would definitely return, especially now that we can find it!!

Different. Love it or hate it hotel

We were met by pleasant very friendly staff, but our room was not ready. There were free drinks all the time. There are lots of steps ( some steep) from one room to another even on the same floor. As an older person I found it difficult to get around this hotel. Carrying breakfast down steps to a table was not easy for me. My room was small and dark and had many pictures and plastic images of the naked female form which I did not appreciate. There was a party at the hotel and we were invited. Free cocktails but noise after midnight as people left kept us awake. The pool is small. The views were amazing. Lots of art all over the place. You either like it or hate it.

For those that want something different.

Knew this place was going to be interesting simply from the photos and reviews, and were pleasantly surprised that not only was it fun and quirky, but the welcome was superb.

Highlights were the open bar/drinks facility and Pablo's amazing breakfasts ... you could easily cruise past lunch with all of the great treats he makes for guests on a daily basis. Anna was also a delight.

When we were there it was too cool and wet to sit outside or use the pool, but I'm sure that would have been a highlight if the weather had been different.

Fun stay in Ronda

This is a funky hotel with fun decor, a great breakfast, super fireplace and a pedicure fish pond. The room we had was in the \"Tower\" so 3 floors making things a little complicated. The bathroom was on the lowest level, down two flights of steps from the bedroom so a bit tricky at night. Gathering with other guests around the fireplace made for a nice visit. The staff is helpful (ordered delivery pizza for us) and put out a super breakfast!

This hotel is funky beyond description. Reception desk is 1/2 a Fiat. Pablo, a fabulous chef, who makes incredible offerings. Free wine, beer, soda, coffee 24/7. Rooms are basic but you must stay here for ambiance, gardens, streams and fabulously warm staff.

Best place in Ronda - I'm drop dead serious

Unbelievable place and close enough to everything as Ronda is not as big as the maps lead you to believe. Do NOT trust GPS. To get you there as we were led to a dead end street with steps- so call ahead and ask the incredible hotel staff to help. Go back in a heartbeat! My wife and I have been traveling together for almost 40 years (all over the world) and this is the ONLY hotel she has ever taken pictures of. Way cool.

Amazing place to stay in Ronda

We stayed here for only one night but wish it could have been more. From the moment you enter the hotel you know that you're somewhere special.
The hotel is an oasis of peace and tranquillity with many quiet areas to relax and recover from your exploration of Ronda. There is also a pool to cool off in while you enjoy a free beverage.
We stayed in room 2 which although was on a main street was never noisy. Indeed the only sounds we heard were from children playing at the nearby school.
We were given a tour of the hotel and it's facilities by Toko when we arrived and also met Pablo who is probably the most enthusiastic person we have ever met. The hotel is obviously a labour of love and so are his amazing breakfasts, all personally cooked by Pablo with ingredients sources from the hotel's own organic garden.
If you want to stay in Ronda look no further than the Enfrente Arte.

wow! eclectic & fun!

this is a really cool hotel that is designed with recycled materials ---the reception desk is a car, the lights are hats or collandars, the tables are surf boards, the planters are basketballs and each room has an art theme and is unique! the breakfast is amazing & guests always have access to wine, juice, coffee etc
the staff is sweet and the hotel welcoming & in a great location on a picturesque cobblestone street in the ancient part of the city

Well worth a stay!

My wife and I, together with another couple, had intended to spend one night. But we found the village of Ronda so charming, and the hotel so pleasant, that we stayed a second night.
The personell were helpful, knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. The hotel is artistically designed with the countless personal touches such as rooftop bathing pools, sundeck, fish bath, paintings, sculptures etc. They even have a bar which is free of charge with juice, wine, beer, coffee. The location is excellent, a short walk to the center of town. We could certainly concider staying there again!

A beautiful, friendly & quirky hotel

This hotel was recommended to us and I'm so glad it was. It is not far from the town on Ronda, it has beautiful views, fantastic rooms, an interior design that you just can't describe and to top it all the staff made it feel like home. Breakfast was a complete wonder - all freshly made cold plates plus a Chef's demo plate for eggs & pancakes. A help yourself bar for drinks, coffee, tea, etc. A plunge pool which we had access to via our room and a terrace overlooking the beautiful plains of Ronda. We will definitely be going back before the end of the summer.

I can honestly say this is one of the coolest places I've ever stayed. Very ususal hotel, with beautiful and artistic touches everywhere you look. Free bar for wine, beer and spirits and amazing breakfasts made to order by a friendly and creative chef. The location is great on a quiet street with parking, a short walk away from the middle of town. Lovely terraces on which to sit and enjoy the view (with your glass of wine of course). Staff were excellent and I will be recommending this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the hotel. The location is not perfect, being a walk up hill into town, but it was definitely worth a stay. It's a funky, fun hotel with all kinds of unexpected and quirky art, furniture, etc. The rooms were basic, but had unique and unusual artwork for decorations. My young adult sons particularly enjoyed the self service bar, where all the drinks inlcuding beer and wine were free! It was a fun place to gather with other guests during siesta or after dinner out.

Most memorable hotel ever

Would recommend totally. Hotel has everything you want and more. Friendly staff, everything clean and comfortable. Style and decor the most funky and fun I've seen in a small hotel, from the car boot buffet in the breakfast bar to mosaic scooter and surf board tables outside.Breakfast included a gourmet selection of freshly prepared cold meat and fish dishes, the chef took huge pride in describing the dishes as well as offering individually cooked hot dishes. Help yourselves bar of beer on tap, wine and soft drinks. What more could you want? Location great-in a quiet street away from the centre of Ronda but 5 minute walk to the gorge and main part of town.

Quirky Hotel With Amazing Views

This is a very quirky hotel in a great location in Ronda close to the Arab Baths but also just a ten minute walk to the Puente Nuevo. The gardens of the hotel are amazing with terraces galore and great views of the mountains. There's a free 24 hour bar (inc. wine & beer), a small pool and also a fish pedicure tank. The breakfast buffet is in a league of its own with smoothies and fruits as well as delicious cakes, croissants etc. Probably not suitable for children or elderly visitors as there's a lot of levels and the vibe is very much geared towards a more independent traveller who likes a bit of style with their cornflakes.

Amazing but beds not good

Firstly this place amazes you from the moment you walk in. The fiat 500 reception desk and bar seating. The bar is free with draft beer, wine, sodas and juices. the place is a maze of amazing. From quirky room to funky gardens you walk from place to place exploring. The seating over a fish tank is weird. loved to 2 rear balcony areas with views over the valley to the mountains. The pool is small but wicked. Our room we loved was unique air conditioned with a really cute bathroom. location is a short walk from the main center. Breakfast was served all morning by the happiest most enthusiastic waiter who would explain the cold options and offer simple dishes of omelettes and quails eggs with chorizo. The one and only failing of the hotel is the mattresses which in our room was like sleeping on marble. Being that sleeping comfort is a big aspect this is a sad failure as we slept very poorly and spent the morning aching from the night. But otherwise this place is amazing.

A fine place to stay in Ronda

We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff.Pablo, the chef made us feel very special at breakfast. Would return to this Hotel on future visits to Ronda.Travellers on foot should be aware of a steep 10 minute walk to town centre. A great hotel to stay at.

Consider steaming cleaning carpets. The stench was overwhelming. This hotel needs a major overhaul to appeal to tourists.

Quirky surprise in Ronda, Spain

This hotel is not for everyone. It's decorating style is eclectic and like stepping into a 1970s time warp. It is definitely different. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic. The staff are excellent and do not hesitate to help with anything. A would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends if they are travelling to Ronda in Spain. Parking is in the street and you take pot luck finding a space

A very enjoyable stay

A fascinating place to stay. Lots of artefacts made from recycled everyday objects. Great view of the valley from the garden.Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The old town and the Puente Nuevo bridge are 10 mins walk from the hotel. Lots fo shops and eating places in close vicinity. An absolute gem!

Fantastic find

What an amazing hotel. Whoever came up with this idea has a massive amount of style and a great sense of humour. The decor is fun and the attention to detail is incredible. The Tempur mattresses in the bedroom adds a touch of luxury which compliments the quirky nature of the hotel. The breakfast is one of the best I've had in Spain and when added to the free bar makes this the best value you will come across. This hotel is a must visit in one of the most stunning cities in Spain.

Hotel with a difference

We booked this hotel with great expectation based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed. No point echoing what others have said, but the one night stay left us feeling relaxed and not wanting to leave. So much so we have already booked another two night break in June.

How cool can a hotel get?

The reading lighting was dim. However, if you like whimsy, this is THE place to go. Breakfast was varied, plentiful, and delicious. Guests have free access 24/7 to sodas, juices, milk, water, the espresso machine, beer, and wines. They also make an inexpensive and plentiful picnic lunch. The staff are beyond cool, and there are many rooms, patios, and decks to explore and pamper yourself with. We will stay there when/if we go back to Ronda.

Great friendly hotel, very comfortble

The hotel is quirky but its definitely worth staying here. The staff were very nice and very welcoming. There is a free bar (beer and wine) and espresso machine to which guests can help themselves and the breakfast (included in the price) was really great as well. They even can pack a picnic for you for 5 euros. The rooms are large, comfortable and quiet. The neighborhood is also very quiet as well. It is very close to the Arab bath ruins but please note...... It is downhill from the Bridge...Most of the restaurants and activities are near the bridge since it is what most people come to see. So, if you have difficulty walking it is a bit of a trek to get up to the area by the bridge....but if you don't mind the exercise....it takes less than 10 minutes. I will add though....the front desk can get a cab in literally 2 minutes for you and it costs less than 5 euros to get up to the area around the bridge. We really enjoyed our stay here and would gladly stay there again.

Nice quirky hotel if you don't mind a walk

This hotel is located at the bottom of the gorge which is a 10-15 minute walk from restaurants, sites, etc at the top of the hill. The hotel has tons of character. It was a lot of fun to explore all the common rooms and outdoor areas. The open bar with serve yourself beer and wine was a nice bonus. Breakfast was another great bonus with fresh cooked eggs, pastries, meat, cheese, bread, cereal, and just about anything else you could want. We found parking just down the street. The room itself was basic, clean, and decorated with exotic art. To tell the truth, the room was a little dated but the other perks of the hotel far made up for it.
We had dinner at a Traga Tapas (Calle Neuva 4) great tapas restaurant, one of the best meals we had. A modern take on tapas. I highly recommend the caesar salad and suckling pig,
We also enjoyed visiting the Water Mine whose entrance is on the opposite side (old side) half way up the gorge. The bull ring and museum was also interesting.

Enfrente Arte - What a wonderful hotel

First time in Ronda, hotel was a real surprise, friendly staff, lovely surroundings, spacious room, great breakfast served till 11am. Would definitely go back and recommend to all my friends and family, it was a real pleasure to stay there.

A bit tired

Hotel Enfrente Arte is centrally located with a very individual style of decor-extremely quirky. Unfortunately the hotel aircon had broken when we were there. We were informed of this, but it was too late in the day to find alternative accommodation. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist who told us we would be able to decline the 2 night booking if we wanted to. The style of the hotel was individual and not really to our taste and with the temperatures reaching about 40 deg C it was a very uncomfortable night. We had to have the small window open which meant it was disturbing and the fan was inadequate due to the heat. The hotel has been open for about 10 years and is a little tired. We were informed that it was due for refurbishment soon. Not to everyone's taste but we had a lovely time exploring Ronda which is stunning.

El hotel es tal cual aparece en las fotos, la cama enorme de dos metros de ancho y largo.
En 5 m eso sí por cuesta o escalera estás en el centro justo al lado de la calle peatonal.
Lo mejor sin duda los trabajadores en especial Pablo que está de mañana, increíble el trato, lo cercano, de 10 el chaval.
Y los desayunos espectaculares.
Repetiremos sin duda

Súper agradable y coqueto el hotel. Las habitaciones muy limpias y amplias. La zona de la piscina es preciosa y las atenciones de las recepcionistas y, sobre todo, de Pablo, el chico que atiende el desayuno, son espectaculares.
Muy cerca del hotel, se puede hacer una subida al puente de Ronda por la parte posterior que es una delicia.
Muy aconsejable!!
Volveremos. Seguro!

O atendente Cesar nao foi nada simpatico, nos disponibilizou o apto 01 que não tinha lugar nem para apoio das malas. Deu um código para abrir a porta e disse que, caso nao funcionasse tentássemos novamente por ate 5 vezes antes de chama-lo, No cafe da manhã a 2@ xícara de cafe é cobrada, caso queira ovos ou crepes devem ser pago à parte. Os jardins estavam cheios de folhas e com cadeiras velhas. Não havia ar condicionado, só o rapaz do do cafe era muito gentl o PLABo.

Hotel de charme qui manque d'entretien

Halte de 24h à Ronda pour visiter cette magnifique ville. L'hotel est calme et bien situé. Le cadre et la déco sont superbes mais... personne à la réception pendant les heures d'ouverture, (merci à la femme de ménage qui nous a renseigné), les lieux communs sont sales (les escaliers n'ont pas vu un aspirateur depuis bien longtemps) et pas entretenus (extérieurs). Dommage! . Petit déjeuner un peu décevant (on vous fera payer la tasse de café supplémentaire!) et le serveur est assez sale et moyennement aimable. La chambre est spacieuse et on y a bien dormi. Le tout reste largement surcoté ou vit sur son passé?

Det er et meget charmerende alternativ hotel med masser af miljø. Vi havde et stort værelse med balkon og god udsigt. Personalet er meget venlige og hjælpsomme
Vi havde købt morgenmad inkluderet i prisen. Morgenmaden var ekstremt sparsomt. De få ting der var der var hjemmelavet og særdeles lækkert, og der var mulighed for at tilkøbe. Hvis du vil have mere end en kop kaffe, måtte du også tilkøbe, så hvis man tror man har købt morgenmadbuffet, bliver man noget overresket.
Hotellet kan absolut ikke benyttes af folk med gangbesvær, da der er stenbelagte gader i området, hvor det end ikke er muligt at trille med en kuffert, og man må påregne at skulle parkere langt fra hotellet.

Außergewöhnliches kleines Hotel

Wir sind mit dem Pkw angereist, konnten gegenüber dem Hoteleingang parken, die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind alle zu Fuß zu erreichen. Einchecken und Service unkompliziert und schnell. Das Hotel mit seinem verwinkelten Garten ist ein wahrer Fundus für Design-Elemente. Auch die Präsentation des Frühstücks ist außergewöhnlich. Das selbst gebackene Brot schmeckt super, Eierspeisen werden frisch zubereitet.
