We were happy with our stay at El Tajo Hotel, staff were friendly, breakfast had a nice selection (10 Euro if not included) and we also booked here as we had a hire car and they have an underground car park (convenient but tight with an SUV). The location is excellent, walkable to all of the main attractions in Ronda and the staff made some great recommendations for Dinner just a 5 minute walk away.

Good place to stay and great price for what you get. We had parking and the building to park in was great and you had access to the hotel from the garage. Air conditioner was bit of a pain as directly faces you in bed and no matter which way you adjust the vents it blows down on you in bed, guess saves power tho as we just turned off and opened the windows. All in all great central place to stay in adorable Ronda.

This charming hotel is just off the central canopied shopping, strolling area of Ronda, which is a beautiful and easily walkable historic town. The intercity bus station is less than a ten minute walk from the hotel. The staff welcomed us graciously and was very helpful. Our room on the third floor was spotless and nicely designed and the buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of seating for all.
The Noon check out time was perfect--allowing us time to tour the bull ring and museum before checking out. We were very pleased with our choice of Hotel El Tajo to explore this beautiful town.

Our stay at Hotel El Tajo & Spa in Ronda was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is ideally located right in the center of town, making it easy to explore Ronda’s charming streets, shops, and historic sites on foot. The famous Puente Nuevo and other must-see landmarks were just a short walk away.

The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very comfortable. Our room was spacious, quiet, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The bed was especially comfortable, and we appreciated the daily housekeeping that kept everything spotless.

One of the highlights was the spa—such a relaxing treat after a day of sightseeing. It was a great way to unwind and added a luxurious touch to our stay.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and welcoming.

We truly enjoyed our time at Hotel El Tajo & Spa and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting beautiful Ronda!

The location was good. The main reason we gave it three stars was because the spa was closed for maintenance, without notifying us prior to our checkin. We were hoping to soak in the pool after hiking in the area.The room was quiet. We had an interior room, which did not have any views out the windows. They open to a small atrium area, with other windows feet away with no privacy, except your curtains. The buffet breakfast had a good assortment of food.

Great stay in Ronda at Hotel Tajo. So good, we stayed another night. After numerous subpar hotels in London and Paris, hotel Tajo was a very welcome change.
Lovely rooms, beautiful bathrooms, quiet sleeping made for a great stay. Love how close to the amazing sights of Ronda this hotel is.
Spa was out of commission but the town has so many things to do, it wasn't an issue.

Conveniently located with great staff

It was one night stay over while waiting for my other hotel to open.

The spa was terrible. The jets in the pool didn’t work, nor did one of the overhead showers and the water was tepid at best. The staff gave us robes and slippers only to find out we’d be charged for the lousy slippers we threw out at checkout. Generally, the staff was pretty surly, except for the nice man early in the morning who made me coffee.

The hotel had really nice and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Amenities could use an update. The lobby smelled a bit funny like a really strong perfume. The location is perfect in the middle of the city centre near the shopping street and restaurants. There is parking at the hotel which you have to book beforehand, we did not book it but there is also a parking space just around the corner with lots of space.

The location and car park is alright but the air condition needs upgrading. We stayed there for the night a family of 4.. one night is just enough. And being checked in there, you have to pay to use the spa per head which i found it ridiculous!

Great location in the new side of town with very useful onsite parking. Big bedroom, lots of storage space and v comfortable bed. It ticked many boxes and was good value. Location v.central - no views of the gorge obviously- but it’s in the centre of the real side of town next to cafes, bars, shops and an excellent supermarket. Clean and professional.

Can’t speak too highly of this 3* hotel. Very convenient to the main attractions. About a 20 minute stroll to the gorge and bridge in Mijas. Convenient for lots of restaurants.
Immaculately clean . Comfortable beds and rooms. Lovely staff.
First rate breakfast. Has its own parking but may well be full. Public parking 500 meters away and reasonably priced. Free from 22.00 until 08.00

It was right in old town and the hotel had a lot of character. Waking distance to everything. Asked for parking but was told upon arrival they didn’t have any spots left. It was up to us to find a spot. Check-in girl wasn’t helpful but everyone else was very friendly.

Very conveniently located - steps from Carrera Espinel, and in the heart of Ronda. A few minutes' walk to the gorge, the Real Maestranza, and wandering all the sights & sites of Ronda.
Our room was super spacious - the bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and we had no issues with noise. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The parking garage is right next to and attached to the hotel. At the time of my stay (Mar 2024), it was €15 for the night and good until 12pm the next day. Kind of wish it based on a 24-hour period but understand it's meant to accommodate the guests for the day. To stay after 12pm, it was an additional €2.40/hour, which was reasonable (mainly because we didn't want to bother moving the car for a couple of hours, lol).

We planned a day stop-over in Ronda and needed a hotel with parking for our hire car. The email communication with El Tajo on this was the best of the 3 hotels we used during our trip in Andalusia. The only thing it would have been helpful to know would be that you have to pull up in front of the hotel and ask the staff to let you into the car park (we ended up parking 10 mins away and having to move our car after we’d checked in!) the car park is secure and spaces are of a reasonable size and reasonably priced at €15 for the day.

The location is handy for bars, restaurants, shopping and viewing the “new” bridge which is stunning.

The room was simple, quite small, but very comfortable and clean.

We weren’t sure if breakfast was included at check in (although I was sure I’d requested it when I booked on Hotels.com - again more clarity on this would be helpful on the documents provided after booking), but in the end it was and a nice simple buffet and just what we needed. There’s a vending machine in reception as well with drinks and snacks for €1.5

Staff were friendly - we didn’t try out the spa, but it’s €15 per hour and you need to book.

The only thing I found a bit odd was everywhere smelled very strongly of air fresheners - quite a sweet fragrance - I don’t think it was necessary to be quite so strong!

Went to Ronda for the bridge and old town, which was walkable distance from the hotel. The location is great. Right in the heart of the city, cafes, shops, grocery and restaurants are close and convenient.
Parking was 15 Euro per night
Room was as expected.
One of the glasses in the room didn't look like it had been cleaned. Lip marks and fingerprints. And for some reason, construction/renovation work started about 8 a.m. both mornings we were there, which woke us up.
Our priority for accommodations is clean, cheap, quiet & safe. This hotel was what we were looking for and definitely recommend it to anyone sharing our priorities.

I consider everything excellent except for the air conditioning and that is poor and unacceptable. If we were in the room we were sweating. And the bad thing is when you leave the room the power goes out so you have to start all over again when you get back so it is always suffocating inside. If we were to return to Ronda again in the summer, we would not stay there again only because of the air conditioning.
