Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, some seemed annoyed and uninterested. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping came daily and refreshed the room. Entertainment was fun and engaging. Beach was amazing! Well kept, blue and turquoise waters, sugar sand, clean. No problem walking the beach in either direction. Great fresh seafood just off the resort. Road noise was audible from the rooms and some of the pools, but didn’t diminish the overall experience. Enjoyed our stay, would visit again in the future.

STAFF- After checking in we were told there were no bell men available so we had to wait a few minutes. While waiting we noticed that persons that arrived and checked in after us were being escorted to their rooms by the same bell men that were unavailable to us. After waiting for about 40 mins I took our bags and went to find our room. WE DID NOT GET ESCCORTED.

The next day after the room was made up we realized that the fridge was not re-stocked. We did not even get water. We called and asked for the fridge to be re-stocked but that did not happen, we had to go to one of the bars for water.

About 4:30 that afternoon we realized that there were no clean washcloths so we called and requested some. We called about three times for the washcloths and none were received. The staff completely ignored us.

I gave it two stars because its a lovely room

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Azul Beach Resort in Negril. The best part was having the beach just steps from our room. The food was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Our beach dinner with Damien was a highlight. He promised it would be a night we would never forget, and he was absolutely right.

A few details kept this from a higher rating. There was some inconsistency with room towels. Most days housekeeping left two, but on some days we had only one. Aside from our arrival day, we never received a bath mat, hand towels, or face cloths. After a rainstorm, the pool outside our swim-up room became unusable. We expected it could be cleaned within 24 hours, but it took four days before it was usable again. This was disappointing since we paid extra for the swim-up feature. The hotel mentioned they would send a gift basket to compensate for the loss of this service, but it never arrived.

We were also approached daily to attend a 45–50 minute resort presentation in exchange for a “gift.” Although we were told it was not a timeshare presentation, we declined multiple times and found the repeated requests intrusive.

Overall, a beautiful resort with wonderful staff and memorable experiences.

The beach was beautiful. The staff was nice. Our room good but we could hear the traffic passing outside which was annoying, the food in the buffets was not bad but not always hot. The food in the restaurants was not hot, the service in the buffet down by building 12 was always good but the service everywhere else was.not very good. The restaurants by the main entrance, you cannot really have a quiet dinner in any of them as the entertainment outside is so loud and there are three restaurants there and this made dining experience unenjoyable.

Well from the get-go we were totally ignored and given the run around about why our Expedia representative wasn't meeting at the times that we were told to meet.We had to go down on two different occasions and wait almost an hour for the Expedia representative to tell us that he's not too sure when her departure will be so email him which we did twice and never received an answer and ended up having to pay out of pocket for our transportation from the hotel to the airport even though I've already paid through Expedia.
Besides the fact that our room had a toilet leaking for almost a whole day before someone came and fixed it because we had to come down to the lobby twice to remind them and we needed towels to pick up the flooding. We couldn't get into our safe with our stuff in it and that took them over 24 hours to fix. We were swindled by the concierge and told we were getting a free massage and a free gift certificate for the gift shop but then after we came down was told there was an hour and a half presentation which we were not interested in so our whole morning had to be turned around. I've turned to Expedia for help because we were also charged 3 days after our departure for a room fee which then proceeded to have all of my cards canceled because of the unfamiliar charge. I've stayed at over 10 different resorts and I've never had this come up as an issue. When I contacted the hotel about it they told me basically I didn't understand how pre-authorizations worked. The Beach was fantastic. But the resort and the staff seemed tired. Friendly but not much energy. No beach parties, while shows and activities lacked energy. Beach BBQ was delicious, but only saw it once. In fairness, the weather was not great, which was not their fault.

We had to switch rooms twice due to things that weren't working accurately! Once we joined Prestige, we were able to get a Loft Suite. The staff is amazing! So friendly and people friendly! The rooms can really be updated! You should allow the locals to sell their crafts inside the resort! Please change up your entertainment. It was the same as last year when we were there. Also change up the buffet at the Mahogany. The chairs at the bar are very uncomfortable. Actually a guest tipped over and fell hard to the ground. Not even drinking. We Love the seven Mile Beach! It's a beautiful resort that just needs some updates. We'll be back next year again. It's our favorite place in Jamaica ❤️ One more thing, they should have clothing with your label on it ( Azul Resort ).

Excellent staff... poor management is the problem with this resort. The swimming pools, bars and grounds were beautifully maintained. The restaurants(not the plates/silverware/napkins) were very dirty and bugs and not your normal \"beach\" ants. If you move a table in the Italian restaurant 5 roaches come scurrying out. Dirt and dust on the glass sculpture in the Palms Breakfast restaurant with dead bugs stuck all over the place.
Management needs to hire nighttime cleaning crew as the wait staff work very hard and are doing a great job. What needs to be done is outside their job duties and reflective of poor management. Front desk is a mess - need better hotel room software/communications. Rooms are hit or miss - we had a tough experience with a poor room(exposed electrical wires in the shower) but were then placed in a normal/decent room. The location is beautiful... so much potential if you get rid of whoever is running it currently.

Check in took entirely too long and we had checked in prior to arrival.
Room was great proximity to beach, pool and food(building 5 family loft). Room got wet every time it rained and shower didn’t drain well. Staff was notified and did nothing. Room service was slacking, always had to ask for towels and fridge to get restocked!

Food was edible, but nothing great. Not allergy friendly at all.
Staff overall was not friendly, I felt like I was bothering them when ordering anything. Not very appreciative of tips. Will definitely come back to Negril but not at this resort!

My stay at Azul was great. My #1 highlight of the trip was simply the staff. We enjoyed Sparkles , Collin, Dean, and Camille, they were all AMAZING. They also have lots of fun activities going on throughout the day. My only critique is the buildings themselves have a little wear & tear on the outside , looks a little worn down. Other than that our stay was fantastic.

This place is falling apart I really deserve a full refund. It was totally misrepresented. Definitely not Gourmet horrible food and beverage..but that was the least of the issues. The beach is the only good thing about this entire experience. Save your time and money don’t stay here. I left early because of how intolerable it was.

We just returned from a week at Azul and had the best time! Our room had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony and we loved to rest out there on the lounger pod. Whether you love the local flavors or are looking for something a bit more common like cheeseburgers, pizza and pasta, there’s always lots to enjoy. If we tried something and didn’t care for it, we tried something else and kept our vacation moving. 7 mile beach is the best beach we’ve found in all our travels and those sunsets bring us back time and time again!

What really makes this place though is the staff. KerryAnn and Indera made the best drinks. Marion, Kerriann, Rita and so many others made us feel welcome and cared for at meals times. Cheryl provided one of the best massages I’ve ever had at the spa (this is my second visit to Azul and second massage with her - HIGHLY recommend). Jermaine, our concierge, checked in on us every day and was a wonderful host and guide. This was a return trip for us so we were excited to reconnect with so many amazing people, including the warm smile and kind heart of Roxanne.

If you’re hesitant based on others feedback, I encourage you to give this place a try, we have grown to love the people of Jamaica and this resort will give you the feel of the heart of this great place.

My room was upgraded to a swim up suite which was awesome but then the room was without tissue the Tv didn’t work and the mini bar was not stocked with water or anything. The bathroom door was broken and jammed, We asked front desk constantly and it was noted but nothing was done.

The trip got off to a rocky start. When we first entered our room, the floor felt damp and there was an odd smell. The next day, after taking a shower, we discovered water spreading across the entire floor. We called the front desk, and both housekeeping and maintenance came to check it out. Although they unclogged the drain, the water problem continued.

We requested to be moved, but the process was more difficult than expected. This ended up being the most frustrating part of the trip. Fortunately, the following day we were finally moved to a new room — and the difference was immediate. The new room smelled fresh, and although it still needed a bit of updating, it was much better overall.
I was disappointed that house keeping didn't see that the room was so damp and there was condensation under the bed and all around.

Now for the good — the staff was truly incredible. We visited every restaurant on the property, and the employees were consistently wonderful. The Palms quickly became our go-to breakfast spot. Shamaya, Shantel, and Doneika went above and beyond for our party of six. Even as we walked around the resort, they would greet us with a warm “See you later.” They truly made us feel like family.

The entertainment staff was also outstanding. Flamez, Mr. Beat, Tio, and TT brought so much energy and joy to our stay — they truly made the trip unforgettable. They greeted us every day and checked in on us often, making sure we were always having a great time. Veronica

We booked the family suit beach view room. We got a room that was run down, broken balcony door handle, stained couch, broken faucet that completely moved back and forth, poor water pressure in the shower and smelly pillows with bed sheets. The resort stated fun kids activities including sprinkles and slides. That was not the case, they had a small sized baby pool with sprinklers where there wasn't much space for more than 2 kids.

Room was not ready on time. Dirty bed linens, no blanket, no wash clothes, no gand towels and no bathroom floor post shower towel... waited over two hours for someone to come to change dirty bed and bring( two) washcloths. Got locked out the day of my husband's grandad funeral ( the reason for our trip) for 2 hours because they say the batteries died. Waited for mantanence/ security to bring emergency key, stil wouldnt work . Ultimately they had to drill a hole in our door to physically push something through door to pull the latch. My husband missed most the funeral something he will never be able to get back or redo. Tried explaining this to the management at hotel but unsuccessful they could not grasp the significance of this unsatisfactory treatment. He will never be able to get that back... beautiful hotel unfortunately we were treated horribly. Had the same two washclothes for 4 days after repeatedly asking for more. Smh.

This was our third visit to Azul. I want to give it 5 stars but over the years the staff (who are literally the reason we go back) aren’t always set up for success. Yet, they work so hard to make your stay amazing. Of course the beach is phenomenal and do not miss the spa- every massage here has been magic! It would be nice if hotel management did a better job of ordering linens, towels and branded alcohol. The food has improved since our last stay but it’s still not as good as the first time. With a proper investment in renovations and amenities, this hotel would be unbeatable.

We will never stay at Azul Beach Resort again. Our room was neglected and right above the outside bar. We couldn’t sleep, due to the noise and slamming doors. The doors are paper thin and you can hear everything going on.
The staff was not accommodating at all. We requested another room, but we didn’t get into one until the next afternoon. After we spent all morning asking the staff. The staff kept pushing us off and we couldn’t get to our excursions.
The excursion was another issue. They called and said they do not come to our hotel for pick-ups. So we could pay an additional $70 to have them pick us up the next day. I called back to cancel the night before and of course, I couldn’t get a refund.
Being on the beach at Azul made us feel uncomfortable. Locals asking if we smoke or want some weed; while I was sunbathing. It became ridiculous.
The hotel is run down and needs so much work. I understand that Hurricane Melissa was recently in October, but this side of the island wasn’t as affected. The issue with the hotel were there before the hurricane.
We were actually happy to be going home. This experience was terrible.

The staff were genuinely wonderful, the design of the property is beautiful, and we loved the beach and weather — all real highlights of our stay!!

That said, the property itself feels run down and didn’t meet expectations in several practical areas. Beach towels were very limited (some days there were none available), parts of the pool furniture looked quite worn, and there were inconsistencies with basic amenities — for example, one day there were no eggs at breakfast, and on two days we received no fresh towels or shampoo and had to track these down ourselves.

The bedding also really needs updating, as the pillows were very old and uncomfortable.

With better maintenance and more consistent hospitality standards, this could be a fantastic property. We hope these issues are addressed, as the potential here is strong. The hotel has real potential for a 5* star experience with a few updates:) The staff were amazing!

I I've stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica, but I think this one had the worst food variety, taste, and room service. The water pressure in the shower was also very weak, making it difficult to take a proper shower. Furthermore, there was no hairdryer in the room. However, the staff were all very nice.

Honestly it wasn’t a bad experience, the rooms were well kept, breakfast was amazing every day, the only problem i had was that i wanted to play pickleball on the tennis court and didn’t get to since it wasn’t set up and wouldn’t be set up before i left and the swim up bar for building 1&2 in adults only zone was closed, other than that i enjoyed my stay, pools were amazingggg and the beach was really nice

We were placed in the wrong room the first day and had to spend hours at the front desk to get them to switch the room.

The property is beautiful and runs parallel to the beach, but rooms are not well maintained. Most restaurants are closed or have very limited hours. Food is bland, but that is expected for an inclusive resort.

Restaurant servers/concierge/bellhops are all friendly. But initially being placed in a terrible room ruined the experience for me and my wife.

On two different days we had no towels in the room even after they placed us on what they called the \"Priority\" list. There was always a shortage of pool towels so we had to reuse those. One day there was no housekeeping. One day they failed to restock the minibar. There were not enough restaurants opened so the wait to get in was long and the wait to get your food was even longer. The meals in the restaurants were slim pickings meaning there was bare minimum and nothing fancy at all. The bottom line is STAY AWAY...They should not have opened. They should have done what Royalton did was to wait until the hotel and staff were 110% ready for customers. Azul went cheap and its guests like us are the ones who suffered.

If you’re looking for a resort with a breathtaking beach, calm waters and 3.5-4 star accommodations - then book your stay at Azul. I gave this a 4 star review bc there’s still post-hurricane maintenance issues they’re working out.
We read a LOT of reviews before arriving. They had me very concerned about the food options. But after our stay, I can tell you that the food was not an issue for us or our children. In fact, we enjoyed all of the food! Timing is everything though…don’t wait to eat until the restaurant is about to close. Room service options aren’t great, but we enjoyed all the open restaurants.
We called Karisma resort’s main line before arriving and they assured us that all the restaurants are open. But one restaurant at the front of the hotel called Palms was never opened during our stay. However, not all restaurants are open at the same time each day. This is standard for every all-inclusive resort we’ve been to over the past 20 yrs of traveling. They usually rotate restaurants depending on hotel occupancy. For the pricing of this all-inclusive resort, it sits between 2 of the most expensive resorts (Sandals & Beaches) yet a fraction of the price. Azul’s beach is definitely 5-star, the hotel/accommodations is 3.5 star and the food was 4-star (in our opinion).

On 12/02/2025 we received email from Expedia with Azul check-in invitation. We called to resort to make sure its open after hurricane. Azul customer services representative assure us that resort fully open and fully functional from 12/01/25. Based on that confirmation we went to resort by schedule.
Resort stuff have been exceptionally friendly and helpful, but we got several issues during the stay
1. On first two nights there were only two restaurants out of promised 6 open for diner. For the rest of the nights only one restaurant (mostly Italian) was open for diner. On our last night Saturday only one restaurant (Italian again) was open – we were waiting in line to be seated for more than an hour, gave up to wait and left. Later at night buffet was opened.
2. For lunch only one the same buffet out of promised two was open for hall week.
3. Few times during the week the resort have been out of electricity for some time.
4. On first and last days we have a problem to use our bathroom because toilet flushing was not working. We called maintenance and it was fixed.
5. On last evening Saturday we have no water in bathrooms and no electricity in half of resort for several hours until late night.
Given the circumstances, we believe this trip did not deliver what was advertised or paid for, and we are requesting reimbursement or compensation for the substantial loss of value and enjoyment. Sincerely, Oleg Kagan, Room 92004

The management of this resort is horrible.
1. Check in service was really poor. They kept messing up the rooms that were booked.
2. Parking space was limited and inconveniently located away from the hotel property, across the road.
3. Beach security wasn’t great as well. Outsiders can literally come up to you while on the beach. I hope they haven’t harassed anyone yet.
4. The cleanliness of the rooms was substandard.
5. Food quality was great. An 8/10 in quality.
6. Limited dining was also a problem with an inefficient reservation system.

I made a mistake on my reservation. It was supposed Tubi for one full week in February. However, somehow the Expedia app made it for one night December 19. I contacted Expedia. They contacted the resort and the manager was supposed to help me take care of this. The manager has not called the manager has not helped me. I want my money back or I want to be able to change the reservation and use the money that I already spent to fix this. The rating will not be changed until then. Don’t stay at this resort if you feel like you need to change a reservation because their management is not responsive.

Experian has tried to contact the resort but they will not respond! Do not book here!

The staff was amazing, the front desk how was not, we lost power for 8hrs & lost water for two days, they say i should be getting a discount from corporate but that has yet to be determined. They dont have just a day pass, my cousin came to see me & we had no power & when i ask if they can extend the day pass for then they said no, & or we can pay for a night pass for $130pp so u have a day & night pass. When the water was running good luck trying to dial it to hot or cold, it goes hot then cold the hot on repeat. If the hotel wasnt up & running properly why did they make it seem like it was. The rest of the staff from cleaning to cooks anyone other than who was at the front desk was amazing. Azul you disappointed me badly, with the young inexperienced front desk staff that cant handle again thing unless tou give them suggestions. Didnt see a manager anywhere even those i ask to speak to one. Hopefully i can get my discount from them or refunded money to say hey sorry or something. I wont be back. But its a nice hotel with good staff. If only the front desk could be more like the reat of the hotel staff it would've been ok.

We had a wonderful experience. This trip was post hurricane so we did not know what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised the property was in great condition, the staff was very friendly, including the music director and our bell Hopper Dean. The beach was clean. There was plenty of beach furniture. The palm trees were green. I would definitely go back.

Hotel tries to be 1st rate but construction and materials used are cheap and labor of installation was poor. Temperature regulation values not used in showers so you are constantly being burned. Alcohol was VERY watered down and so were the fruit juices at breakfast, if they had any. Food selections were often out and quality was average. Scrambled eggs were powdered mix and bacon was mostly bacon bits. Only limited restaurants were open but that was because of just reopening after hurricane.

First off, I will start by saying the Bartenders, Buffet staff and Entertainment 10/10! I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. DJ Lando and Alicia made this trip for us.
With that said there is a lot that could have been done better, mainly due with the “Sales Staff”

Would we go back? Probably not the anxiety of the whole sales situation it to annoying. It felt like we were at our regular day jobs, scheduling meetings, going over number. Not at a resort for our honeymoon.

The Grounds at AZUL were well kept and i loved the direct beach access with the cabanas and lounge chairs as options. The staff were hit or miss, either they were pleasent or rude and unaccommodating, mostly at the bars, The dining options were extremely limited and honestly didn’t taste good. I had better experiences with local vendors on the road. My room door lock battery died and that was quite frustrating and inconveniencing because of course it died when i needed to check out to catch my flight. Upon checking out and despite being in a rush the push to complete a survey was disturbing.
I understand Jamaica is a “take it easy” kind of country-I’ve visited several times, i think it would be helpful for the staff at AZUL to perhaps have a refresher training course on customer service and hospitality.

The food is terrible, there is nothing gourmet about this property. We were so excited to stay here, as it had listed hat making classes, cooking classes, and gourmet food. None of this is true. We were also going to get married on the property. We are so happy we didn’t do this place as a destination wedding.

No classes, nothing really to do on the property, it was boring.

The things that were good on the property were, the room size. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, and it was big.

Our phone didn’t work. We didn’t have running water periodically throughout our stay. The staff call you at 8:30am to “check” on you, so you can’t sleep in. The restaurants close at weird times, so it felt hard to eat anywhere. We stayed at 2 other resorts on our trip, same food. Again, nothing is gourmet about Azul. The room service menu is small, and it always comes with plastic wrap over it.

This resort also claims to have an amazing eco friendly program, yet coming back to the plastic wrap…over everything, I don’t get it.

There was garbage on the beach, wasn’t clean. There were dirty towels in our room when we arrived. The staff are constantly harassing you when you come out of the room to buy a vacation package.

Save yourself the stress, hassle and lack of food issues. We were hungry at an all inclusive cause we simply didn’t want to eat the food.

The resort was very disappointing. They cannot call themselves all inclusive when they keep running out of food and drink options. Check in was a disaster. The couple got upgraded to the different room and we ended up paying $500 just to be in the same area with them. We requested to meet with management but never provided the opportunity to express our grievances. We had only two ne bath towel the first day and lacked hand and face towels for days. Tried to order room service but that option was shut off as well. The location and the beach is great and the staff is fantastic. They need to clean house and hire new management that is more responsive to guest services and able to keep a full bar and food selections at all time!! I would not pay the high all inclusive fee here!!!

The property was beautiful and nicely kept. I waited over 24 hours upon checking in before I was able to receive washcloths. This included calls to the front desk and actually going to the front desk to ask. My room was not cleaned for 2 days , nor was my towels replaced and they only gave 3 towels total. Calls had to be made to the front desk for more towels. Concierge was very pushy upon arrival trying to enter us into raffle to win a free trip. She chased us the next day , once we weren’t interested became unprofessional. The resort ran out of food in the buffet at dinner and at breakfast.

I location was about 2 hours from the airport, the hotel was nice and but the food was not great, it was authentic to the culture. Should have to visit a country and eat the same food I get at home, the beach area was lovely, the water was nice and calm at all times,
I will visit again, but I have to go to Jamfest to eat true Jamaican food.

When we arrive we asked to be put by the other couple. They put them 6 buildings down. Swim up bar out of rum multiple days. Imagine the Caribbean out of rum. Beer taps broke multiple days. Not all restaurants open. Not the foodie place that was listed. Staff always does what they can and were very friendly. Management failed.

Booked the 4 star side, was put in 3 star side. Slow season understandable, but having so many restaurants closed is crazy. Bars under prepared and unable to make easy drinks. Service by employees was great. Management should be embarrassed by the operation.
