Staff was okay. Room was clean. Sketchy vibe, which is probably to be expected in the area. Booked this place to try to save a little cash vs staying at the casino. Rated an 8/10 and it advertised a shuttle. When we checked in we were told the shuttle isn’t running. Nothing more. Disappointing. In the future, I’ll just book at the inn at the casino.

Days Inn by Wyndham Charles Town/Harpers Ferry is a nice hotel within a few miles of Hollywood Casino in Charles Town. It's a no-frills motel style hotel, which was clean and reasonably priced. Also, the breakfast buffet offered good hot food. They sausage, eggs, biscuits with gravy was surprisingly very good. The self-service waffles were excellent too. There was also hot oatmeal and breakfast/granola/cereal bars for a healthy option. I will definitely stay at this location again in the future.

The room was filthy. They texted to ask if I needed anything. I responded with I need a new bed spread because it looks like the one has dried boogers on it. Crickets. The shower was rife with mildew and had several hairs in it. One of the bottles of supplies in the shower had dried product on it. I woke up the morning after my stay (I checked out on a Saturday and woke up Sunday) with bed bugs bites on my face, arms, and legs. Do not recommend.

The room was clean, except for the carpet which probably hasn’t been cleaned since it was installed in 1986. The smell of dust and musk in the room was incredibly unpleasant. We couldn’t get another room because the place was completely booked, and we couldn’t get a refund. Luckily we just needed to crash for the night so we went to a nearby store and bought febreeze plugs to make our stay bearable.

Old but renovated. But doors in my room are super dirty. The heater/AC was covered with thick dust and black dots (mildew or mold?) that cold air blowing was fine but hot air smell really bad a strong sour smell I had to open up the door but it would continue blowing the strong odor I shut it off even though the night was quit cool in the low 60s or upper 50s and rained after dark last night all night

The property and room was clean. There was no hand soap in the room. Needed to ask for more toilet paper on arrival. When I went to get to get coffee in the office, the manager was having a discussion about cutting hours with the employees, very inappropriate for an area where guests were gathering. It looked like housekeeping went in room and sprayed Lysol, maybe checked beds and put 2 towels in room. The room had not been cleaned at all dirt all over floor and tub drained super slow! There were huge dust cobwebs all over the ceiling. The air conditioning leaked and floor had a puddle in front of the air conditioning. It was quiet until they rented the room above us. Anytime the people above us walked it sounded like they were coming through the ceiling to the point some paint fell off of the ceiling. Someone had their tv turned on full blast and kept us up most of the night. There wasn’t much options on the free breakfast so we walked to McDonald’s. At least it was only 2 parking lots over. Definitely was not happy with the experience at all.
