I didn't find the hotel at first because the entrance isn't obvious. Other than that, I had a great stay. The location is wonderful, and the staff is friendly. You can request a tea maker at the front desk.

The location is excellent in the center of the historical town (UNESCO world heritage). Walkable, many restaurants, a few steps from the river. Relative to this being a two star (or so) hotel, the room was simple, but fine.

This is a lovely, cozy hotel in the heart of the old city. It was in a quiet area, with a comfortable bed and it has an elevator. I’m happy to recommend it and would stay there again.

Great location and value

A great period hotel in a really good location Room was very comfortable and clean if a little faded.Breakfast was magnificent. Receptionist very helpful and good English .
Parking on site very limited 30zl night.Location could not be better, river 2 minutea to left and old town centre 3 minutes to right. GREAT VALUE.
No a/c but room was cool even in heat wave.No tea making facilities but free water.Mini fridge

Please beware the credit card processing system rips off customers upon check out.
The hotel charge was issued in polish zloty BUT the card reader EFTPOS converted the zloty to foreign currency automatically without the clients knowledge and intervention and added a hefty 6% conversion and transaction fee. The hotel manager initially was apologetic and helpful and offered a refund but later changed his mind and offered a letter with a promise to return overcharged amount in 30 days. We shall see but my feeling is this is a common occurrence. This rip off should be legally banned since the legal currency in Poland is zloty, but it appears the bank PKO, card processing company and possibly retailers are happy to cheat the tourists.

Convenient location to city center!

This is a GREAT location if you’re looking to stay near city center. Parking is offsite (unless you get road parking close to hotel but either way you have to pay) and check in is very fast and easy! It was slightly noisy at night (as to be expected if you’re so close to the city center) but overall a great place to crash! I did not know if they had complimentary shampoo but they only have a dispenser with soap in it in the shower I used.

The room was basic, and at the corner of the roof so you need to watch your head. I booked this hotel because it was advertised that there was a/c but that was not the case in reality so it was quite hot at night even with the window open.
Staff are friendly and helpful, but don’t really know the city when I asked for advice.

a good basic hotel

I had stayed here many times before so knew what to expect. The room (111) was of a reasonable size with a double bed. There was, however, no fridge but there was complimentary water. I knew there would be no kettle. the window overlooked the car park. the bed was comfortable. However, the noise generated by other guests at 3am and the kitchen noise does not aid sleep. Thankfully, the kitchen noise finishes around 10.30. The noisy guests did quieten a little once I asked them to be quiet so that was helpful. Otherwise, the Gromada is fine and excellent value for money. However, there is NO housekeeping on Sunday so the water was not replaced - essential in the heatwave. again, the staff, were exceptionally obliging and gave me two bottles. The positioning is excellent - within the city walls, 2 minutes walk to the main street of Torun with its plethora of restaurants and shops in one direction and two minutes to the promenade along the Wistla river in the other. Breakfast is extensive and served in the traditional restaurant. The bathroom had a lovely shower and, except for Sunday, was cleaned until it sparkled!

This hotel is in an excellent location. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be with limited English (I don't hold that against them - my Polish is even more limited!). The rooms are clean but small and very basic. It was a very good price and fine for one or two nights. Location was important for us so it was good. Breakfast was very good. Not a luxury hotel but it was fine.

We stayed one night in Hotel Gromada for our overnight in Torun. The location in Old Town was wonderful, very accessible to the historic sites and restaurants. The staff were immediately accomodating in setting up the fold-out bed for the 3 person room just after check-in. The hotel is a bit sparse with ammenities, wireless worked better in the lobby area than in our rooms, but for an overnight, it was very good.

A bargain of a hotel in the historic heart.

My room looked out over the imposing St Johns Cathedral and the hotel is just a minutes walk to the Old Town Square. True, the floors creaked a bit and some of the furniture was a bit tatty but that's reflected in the price. The room/facilities were clean and the bed comfortable. At some point this place will be \"modernised\" along with a quadrupling of the room rate - get in while you can.

Os funcionários eram simpáticos e prestativos e a localização é excelente!
Fora isso, não tenho o que elogiar. Fiquei no quarto 111 e as paredes estão cheias de mofo. Meu lençol tinha marcas de mofo e de sangue. O banheiro estava sem a tampa do ralo. Nem a tv e nem o frigobar funcionavam, acredito que seja a tomada.
Fiquei somente por uma noite e por isso não reclamei na recepção, mas não voltaria a me hospedar.
Além disso, o quarto que recebi não se parecia nem um pouco com as fotos do quarto que reservei.

Établissement viellot qui aurait besoin d'une cure de rajeunissement : salle de bain vétuste, mauvaise odeur, literie abominable, responsables d'établissement ignorant complètement leurs clients. L'hôtel se trouve en face d'un bar où la musique à fond s'est arrêtee a 4h du matin. Fenêtre fermant mal. Donc impossibilité de dormir. Aucune excuse de la part des propriétaires.

Gammelt hotel men greit.

Har bodd der flere ganger og liker meg der. Selv om det er gammelt og lite trives jeg godt der. Men prisene i restauranten var skrudd opp kraftig fra forrige opphold så da gikk jeg ut for å spise. Når prisene er på høyde med norske da må man ha lov til å reagere!

Charming old hotel that needs some renovation. Large rooms, good bed, old toilet and another negative factor, the windows are not well covered against morning light. Rooms are not serviced during your stay. You should avoid rooms facing the main street, a nightclub will not let you sleep until they close. Acceptable breakfast and very great staff.

Väldigt lyhört och ett fruktansvärt ståhej utanför. Det var bara att glömma att sova fram tills dess att uteserveringen på andra sidan gatan hade stängt, städat och flyttat runt borden tills de var nöjda.

Bra hotell om man själv är ute och röjer, inte fullt lika bra om man reser med barn.

Trivelig og intimt hotel som jeg har bodd på et par ganger. Og restauranten serverer gode retter og til en meget overkommelig pris. Spiste grillet kyllingfilet der på onsdag til en pris av 26 zloty! Billigere får du det ikke! Så dette hotellet kan jeg så absolutt anbefale, lite, men hjemmekoselig

Veldig ok overnattingsted. Jeg var litt spent da jeg ikke har overnattet her tidligere. Men dette hotellet kan jeg så absolutt anbefale til andre gjester. Bodde på enmannsrom, men jeg hadde det jeg trengte på rommet. Koselig og intimt var mitt inntrykk av hotellet og jeg likte meg veldig godt. Samt at det lå i en seriøs prisklasse. Så dette kan jeg trygt anbefale videre.

Zacznę od plusów, czyli parking na miejscu płatny ale jest, szkoda że kilka miejsc tylko więc pewnie przy większym obłożenia nie ma co liczyć na miejsce.
W pokoju pomimo ogrzewania, chłodno, nad ranem zimnie, a było tylko kilka stopni na minusie, co będzie przy prawdziwej zimie...
Kablówka to duże słowo, kilkanascie programów, chyba więcej z naziemnej można obejrzeć, pozostałe kodowane... Chyba nie te czasy....
Hotel ma swoje lata, łazienka ok, pokój też wporzadku jak na ten standard. Jest winda jak ktoś potrzebuje.

Останавливался на один день. Заселили сразу же не дожидаясь времени заезда. Явные плюсы отеля: расположение -центр города; сотрудники отеля говорят по русски (для меня это важно); рекомендуют куда сходить (для меня был предложен ресторан Oberza на примыкающей улице Rabinska, работает, как буфет, остался доволен); в номерах чисто, белье новое, аж хрустит; расположен в старинном здании, для мне это нравится; цена меня очень порадовала, в некоторых хотелах даже дороже бывает.
Минус отеля нашёл один: в номере не работал Wi-fi, только на 1-ом этаже.

Hotel prezentuje się dobrze z zewątrz, wewnątrz dobrze. Gorzej z pokojem - teoretycznie apartamencik na poddaszu ale... zapach bliżej nie określony, chyba z zarośniętej i nie czyszczonej rynny która znajduje się tuż przy oknach, ogólnie pokoj i łazienka wymagają odnowienia i drobnego remontu, np lampa stojąca - porażka, lodówka chyba jednak coś chłodzi, czajniczek jest ,ale nie bezprzewodowy i z bardzo krótkim kabelkiem. Brak choćby herbaty , czy kawy w torebkach , o cukrze nie wspłonę . Ogólnie , za te pieniądze powinno być lepiej. Byle jak pościelone łózko na wejściu nie robi dobrego wrażenia. wi-fi nie działało . Śniadania raczej przeciętne ale kawa b.dobra
