The worst hotel in Torun city

For me it is not acceptable that the hotel guest cannot turn off air conditioner. I was very cold and rhere was norhing I could do with it. Even I cannot did a hot tea in room because there was no kettle at room! After one night in the hotel bulwar, I caught a cold and lost my voice. Dwfinitely the worat 4 stars hotel in Torun ( I visited all of them). For a 4stara hotel this is unacceptable.

I reserved 2 rooms at Bulwar for a week. This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel and the hotel has not kept up with changing times.

The hotel only has a central AC unit (no AC control in rooms), it is not effective in cooling the rooms on summer days. The window handles have been removed, opening the window to air out the rooms was not an option. It was very stuffy. After a while of speaking with the front desk, they offered a mini fan (smaller than my hand), which was better than nothing. However, it was not substantial to deal with the heat/ size of the room. One of the two rooms also had a plumbing issue. The toilet flushed only very hot water.

The rooms only had 1 available plug to use by a desk. No plugs for use by the night tables. There was some plug connected to the hair dryer in the bathroom with what appeared to be a standard 2-hole EUR outlet and 2-hole CAN outlet. When trying to plug both of these types of plugs into the outlets, they did not fit. These bathroom plugs were unusable.

The evening bar staff was very kind and provided attentive service. The day bar staff was very unorganized. We waited over 25 min for 2 bottles of water. When approaching the bar again to check on our order, only then did they proceed to complete the order.

When checking out of the hotel, the front desk insisted they were unable to produce a business receipt. I was quite frustrated by this point because I have never had issues with receiving this at prior hotels.

Nice hotel to spent some time in the city centre of Toruń.
Hotel looks really nice inside and outside and it's well located. Cost of the parking that comes in the addition is decreasing the comfort if that is a small surprise (first hotel that you have to pay extra ~ 20 % of your stay). River view might be significantly better as \"Superior Double Room, River View\". next morning 7.30 group of workers at the roof at the windows level...

The guest room is small and has no necessary amenities. The front desk is lack of staffing (possibly because of a Sunday). The parking was convenient and breakfast was quite good, which prevented me from giving a 3-star overall rating. The location is good and provides easy access to almost all attractions. However, the very limited English skills possessed by the staffing offsets the advantage of its location.

Fab staff, lovely room, marvelous hall, good breakfast, amazing location but few things in the room let me down.1- Big bed with only one pillow. I like to sit on the bed 45 degrees but one pillow is not enough. I rolled the duvet put together with the pillow but wasn't the same support. 2- it says there is a safe in the room and there wasn't. 3- as I had my on shampoo and conditioner, I washed my hair and there was no place to leave them while showering, so had to put on the floor. And 4- there was only one power socket on the room. I had my phone and watch to be charged before going out for a tour in the city and I had to decided what was the most important for me to charge. Like I said, lovely room but those things was just not what I expected from such a nice hotel. I would definitely recommend the hotel

It's a very interesting hotel that converted from the former fortress for Prussia. It is nicely located by the river and walking distance to the old town. The hotel staffs are all very professional and friendly. Only a couple of things would be nice if they equipped: 1) lack of sockets on the wall, and 2) lack of soap dish for shower.

We picked a room with a view of the river, and it was worth it. Lots of walkers on the riverside, along with a huge city sign and ferris wheel lighting up the river at night. We drove a car, which we were able to park nearby for free, as city parking is free on the weekends. With the hotel on the river, it was easy to not worry about directions…from Old Town just head west and follow the river north. Hilton is close enough to walk to Old Town, but without the congestion. There were several well-reviewed restaurants nearby.

The hotel is in a great location and is modern and clean, however the rooms are very small, the view from our room was off the solar panels unless you stood to one side and then you could see the river. There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room. You are charged extra for parking... all in all in was ok but not a luxury hotel.

I booked a room and it stated a queen size bed, well it was two twin beds put together. I kept rolling into the middle between the two beds. The main room only had one electrical outlet which cause a little problem. I use a CPAP machine at night and the outlet was not even close to the bed. I had to choose between a CPAP machine and charging my cell phones. Lets talk about hidden fee's, I was charged for parking every day, I was never aware of this fee upon check in.

City Centre Hotel in Torun

Hotel Bulwar is a new hotel in an old building, many years ago being the Prussian Army HQ. It is \"ultra modern\" in the reception and the room facilities were really top notch, typical of a much more expensive hotel. The room was very quiet too, overloooking the Vistula river. Breakfast buffet was extensive with an excellent choice. Hotel is situated at the corner of the old town and only a short walk from the main attractions and cobbled streets.

Everything excellent, but no curtain in bathroom

Great location, good service, nice room, reasonable breakfast. Flies enter the hotel and enter my room. Flies on the food in the buffet. I've also had bad experience with fellow guests singing in the corridor and banging on doors. Otherwise it is quiet, posh and efficient. No curtains in the bathroom can be a bit worrying - I typically have the bathroom lights off. Very clean except for the flies.

Love this hotel!

Very interesting hotel, part of it converted from a fortress. The side gate of the hotel takes your directly to the old town. Room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast spread is good. I love this hotel. Will definitely stay in this hotel again if I visit Torun again

This is a lovely hotel, nice staff. There is a tremendous effort in appearance, however the quality suffers.

Of the last twenty days in hotels, this was the must unique and attractive, with the worst breakfast buffett.

Also the worst internet service in the rooms we have experienced yet.

Just a little more effort in quality would help tremendously

This hotel is located on the edge of the Old Town what makes every trip very convinient - everything is within walking distance. Two parkings make it easy to leave car what is generally very hard in this area. Little overcomplicated light management in the rooms, but one can get used to it. Highly recommended.

Excellent reception staff answering all our questions and more! Quiet unit in an excellent location excellent for our needs, comfort and cleanliness plus, air-conditioning fine, generous breakfast to suit all tastes, convenient parking on-site.
Suggest additional power points in bedroom to enable several devices to be recharged simultaneously. Hazard lighting or strips required for steps on fifth floor!

Nice hotel right next to the old city

The hotel was very clean and generally looked very good. But we originally paid through expedia with a discount but when we went to check out, we were told that we had to pay. We then said that we had already paid through expedia so the woman at the counter checked on the computer and said that it looked like we already paid but the payment did not go through. She said that it must have been \"their fault\" but then didn't do anything to fix it and we had to pay full price. The woman at the counter was also very arrogant and did not even apologize for the mistake.

Great hotel in a great location

Torun is fantastic to visit on business or leisure and the hotel is in a great location just a 2 minute walk to the town centre yet on still on the edge of the old town so you do not get disturbed etc. Room are well appointed and model yet set in an old castle, breakfast is a buffet but has everything you need. Evening meals are reasonably priced and the menu is interesting and the food is of a good quality. Only issue is that the bar is at the end of the main reception and so does not really have any character etc. I stay here about 4 times a year and have no reason to go anywhere else.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend trip to Torun, and it was pretty good compared to the other places I stayed on previous occasions in Torun. Its located right near the old town and close to the river. The breakfast room has a nice patio over looking the Wisla river, it was great. The staff were very nice, the beds comfortable, but the carpets worn out.

The hotel offers great comfort, has a fantastic Spa, it's ultra modern & serves a very hearty breakfast too, which makes this whole experience absolutely fabulous! Very nice hotel in an excellent location - very close to Old Town and excellent coffee houses.
The room was small, but very nicely furnished and comfortable. Main reason for not giving the hotel 5 stars is the breakfast buffet. Unless you get to the buffet early, expect to see a lot of buffet platters empty. On our second morning we had a later breakfast and did not get fruit nor the usual baked goods choices. The staff said that they were all out!!! Since we had invited some of our Polish friends to join us, we were embarrassed to say the least.

The hotel is well located to see what Torun has to offer. It appears however to cater mainly for business travellers and tour groups as there was little tourist information on offerand specifically no town maps.It requires a taxi from the station but then every hotel in Torun would.

Very close to the sights, an excellent hotel

The hotel and room were really comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly and the facitilies were excellent. The spa was a wonderful place to warm up after a day out in the cold and was wonderfully relaxing. The breakfast room and bar area were comfortable also and the food and drinks range was great. The hotel was a short walk from a range of places to eat and drink as well as most of the main places to visit, such as the Town Hall, Market Square and Copernicus' House. We loved our stay in this hotel!

Good to walk around the old town, as the hotel is very close to the old town or just behind the old city.

Das Hotel befindet sich am Fluss, in der Altstadt und ist gut erreichbar Auto. Es gab wenige Gäste aufgrund der Pandemie. Habe Sauna reserviert, gut geschlafen und gut gefrühstückt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.
