The staff and grounds were the best things for me. I give the staff a 10 on a 5-point scale. And the grounds are lovely, with a large stream surrounded by lush bushes, flowers, and trees maybe 100 ft away.
The rooms are decent size with balconies overlooking the grounds. While the rooms are not perfect, they are comfortable and every day I chilled out more and liked it more as an oasis from stress.
There is a good Italian-leaning restaurant at one end of the building and I ate there a number of times.

Lovely place in Boquete. Rooms are clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable. The balcony is lovely. The air con is a little noisy. Bathroom is small but clean and the shower is spacious with good water pressure. Maneuvering around the door to access the toilet, however, is an acrobatic adventure. The parking lot is accessible from the road by going down a steep decline. If you master this decline without scraping the underbody of your (rental) car you probably qualify for a driver position at the famous Paris-Dakar rally. Despite all these shortcomings the place was absolutely lovely and I would stay there again.

The hotel was very nice! Located just a short walk to the downtown area with plenty of restaurants and shops! Very quiet area with a little river running behind the hotel. Seating area by the river allows you to sit back and relax. Had breakfast here several mornings and it was very good. Our server ( I don’t remember his name ) was great! Remembered we liked the lattes for breakfast! Nice view of the mountains. Would definitely stay here again!!

Enjoyed our stay very much. A room air conditioner was very nice and the veranda overlooking the river, may have been our favorite place to hang out in all of Boquete.
The restaurant has an amazingly extensive menu and especially enjoyed the nachos.
I think it may be an underrated place to stay

When you first arrive the steepness of the driveway may be a little intimidating but just go over the crest on an angle. We had a Kia rental car and it was fine. Staff are great. Service as we requested. Enjoy your stay. Walk to town is easy. Quiet stay.

When we arrived at the property carrying our luggage from a 10 hour drive from the city, we had to open the front lobby door ourselves even though there were two employees at the lobby telling each other jokes.. staff not very friendly, each morning we had to say good morning first otherwise no saluting from them.

Clean room excellent but a bit pricey restaurant. Was charged 2.25 for a cup of coffee one day but 7.50 for two cups the next day. The shower could use a remodel, drains are slow to empty leaving us ankle deep. Otherwise ok, but booked a different place next time we were in town. Location was good, short walk to the main streets.

It is a convenient hotel with a nice restaurant and patio. The property lacks maintenance. The pillows are old and thin. The AC smells like mold and leaks water. The towels need to be changed. The kids playground has damaged facilites that are dangerous. We’ve been visiting for years and we would love to come back when it is remodeled.

Cool hotel to stay with children. There's a playground with jump place and different table games on the site. The room has a small kitchenette with coffee maker and refrigerator and table. It's very confortable and spacious and you have a balcony to spend your time enjoying a mountain or river view. If I go to Boquete again, I'll stay in this hotel again.

The setting is wonderful. Alongside a small river with views of the mountain behind. There were coffee trees climbing up the mountain and orchids along the stream. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. This has become our go to place in Boquete.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The cleaning staff did a decent job cleaning the room. But, one really doesn't know how a hotel is until they stay there for a while. I stayed Valley Del Rio hotel for a week and a half at this hotel. The walls in between the rooms are \"paper thin\". A person can hear everything that is going on in the adjacent room or in a room few doors down the hall. Also, the fire alarm kept on going off almost every night. Needless to say, I didn't get hardly any sleep while I stayed at the Valley Del Rio hotel.

the hotel seems dated....had an old iPhone charger without an adapter for newer models..I think it was an iPhone 1 type clock charger....the alarm clock went off at midnight...couldn't turn it off..had to unplug it. The bed was comfortable with a nice blanket..it gets cold at night and I had to turn off the A/C. Took a while to figure out the TV, none of the housekeepers seemed to know how to make it work, but after 1/2 hour or so I did find an English Channel ( it was on Spanish\" Peppa pig\", when I turned it on and we couldn't get rid of it for a while. On line photos make it look very nice..not exactly my experience.

Where to start... this hotel claims to be the only hotel in Boquete with AC in all rooms - this is a flat out lie, my room didn't have AC - and I wish it had because the room was stuffy and hot.

Food in the restaurant is inedible, and that's not an exaggeration. Very odd given that Boquete actually has some of the best food in Panama.

Wifi simply doesn't reach the rooms and isn't usable at all. Complaining about it did no good as all the receptionist had to say was \"correct, correct, correct\".

Laundry prices are obscene. Also, the policy of charging you $10 if you lose the room key - which is the typical plastic room key you get everywhere - is unbelievable and something I had never seen before.

The safe kept on malfunctioning, which is an issue when the maid leaves your 1st story room balcony completely open when she's done.

When power goes out, their generator sounds like a 747 is revving its engine inside your ears.

I really like this hotel. Located next to the river, one can fall sleep with the sound of water. We've been here 5 times already since the Pandemic and regard it as our prefered escape location.

Unfortunately, we can say that the facilities seem to be getting worst every time we go. We've stated in the same room twice, delayed by about 3 months and the same issue with the faulty shower reported on the first trip was there this last time.

Its a very simple fix to replace the shower head but apparently there is no interest to fix it from management.

It's a shame.... very nice location though.

I visited this hotel last year and returned this year. Since last year property is not maintained well. Furniture is failing a part, restaurant walls and ceiling durty. In my room WiFi did not work. Paying $160 plus tax per night is way to high for Panama. Location is great but services a terrible. Staff was trying to help with wifi in the room but nothing happened. My wife is eligible for jubilado discount but front desk person said at check out that I was already charged for the room and nothing can be done. So the bottom line is be prepared for old broken furniture in you room with bad or no wifi, not that good restaurant food, but enjoy the river view.

The hotel is located at a beautiful place and is really nice. However, some of the staff hardly understands English, and they don’t always follow
through on requests. (I asked for the safe in the room to be opened for my use, and was promised twice someone will take care of this, but that never happened.)
Also, the breakfast does not offer many choices. No yogurt, for example.

Very pleasant room with view of the small river as advertised. Excellent location in Boquete a 10 min walk form town center but away from noise and traffic. An ice machine, a plus, but it is next to the restaurant entrance and not conventionality located from rooms. Restaurant very good with good service and prices similar to other tourist oriented restaurants in town. The hotel ave us a $10 discount on meals at the restaurant, BUT it was not good for the lunch menu, for the rotisserie chicken menu, or happy hour. Read the fine print!

I’ll try to be objective.
First of all a great area. A good look building. Before reserve I called the hotel and asked about the breakfast included, if they’d offer eggs any style and fried national food like tortillas and hojaldres and they told me yes about the eggs and about the tortillas and hojaldres yes also but for an extra charge.
Well none of the days that was true so I choose a hotel based in wrong info.
Karaoke on Thursday was a cheat because not even a good music, only instrumental music.
I had to go and reprogram our keys every day after checkout time, even when I asked them to check that because that wasn’t normal. They told us that we put our keys close to de cell phone but our keys where all the time after exiting the room, in our car glove box. They had people in the front desk working also in the bar or restaurant or as a housekeeper.
Too much grown grass so too much bugs (flys and mosquitoes)
But the worst thing was when we were about to sleep, we couldn’t find the bed sheet so we front desk because we thought it was a housekeeper mistake but no, it was a mistake. The front desk lady told us that it was the property owner order.
I was in shock! Why? I asked!
The answer was we only follow rules.
Think: The duvet cover is the only way to get warm so as it can’t be washed every days, ur using something over your almost naked body, that someone else used but you don’t know their habits. That’s disgusting! Not staying there ever again!
