The hotel lobby is quite beautiful and the location is absolutely perfect. It is right in the centre of town.

My complaint is mainly the service. Some of the staff went above and beyond and were super friendly and personable, and others were quite cold and unwelcoming.

My father was in the bath when someone entered his room for no reason. We went and complained and were told it was simply just a member of the supervisor team checking in on the room. We think this was so strange and unacceptable. They should know who is in a room and who is not before coming in. There was no knock on the door either when they came in making it quite an embarrassing experience. We reported it to reception and they didn't seem so bothered.

One lift was broken, the other 2 were very busy so took over 20 minutes to get from floor 6 to ground floor. Room was ok but definitely not worth the price. We had to book slot at pool but were no available beds so did not see the point in booking a slot if people are able to stay there all day and not give everyone the ability to use beds etc.

Wonderful hotel. Fantastic location. Lovely relaxing pool and spa area with a well equipped gym. Loved the fact that one of the lifts went down to the spa so I could go there and back in my dressing gown!
Nespresso machine in the bedroom, unusual bathroom design which I loved where the sink was incorporated into a dressing room area.
Staff incredibly attentive and clearly aspire to deliver high standards.
Overall just couldn’t fault the stay and will be back!

Oh my word this hotels communication is out of this world the service is top notch the hotel is too beautiful the bathroom at the entrance is too nice i took cute pictures inside too I have asked to check in early & they allowed us it was my friends birthday there was a small nice when I say nice too delicious piece of cake and a card my goodness cake was too good that I myself wanted to eat it all up the atmosphere when you come in is just too phenomenal there was a guy at the reception first first guy who deals with us when we walk in his name was Bushar I think oh my word I forgot his name he was so brilliant and gentle and they were just tooooo friendly in a long time of going to hotels by far they made it soo nice for us that we were too tired to even go explore the SPA I regret I owe myself one visit to this beautiful Edwardian hotel the morning we had room service and the breakfast was of course fine you never go wrong with English is just that they could do better & make it more nicer that English English breakfast like the ones at the pub they hit really good but all in all service was good our room was up could see other buildings through the glass big big window they allowed us to decorate the room with balloons as it was a surprise for my friend mind you we were exhausted asked to check out later gave us till 1 we overslept in the hotel 😭that’s how nice it was they were too lovely lady who assisted was like just stay till 1 only red flag is the parking is 5min

I like the hotel staff and the gym is great for a hotel. However, I have to judge the hotel by the quality of sleep. The rooms are so warm I could not sleep. The thermostat did nothing. Such a disappointment for what could be a nice hotel

The Edwardian — WOW!

First of all, our flight arrived at 6:00 a.m., which meant we got to the hotel extraordinarily early. We were absolutely exhausted. The manager, whose name I’m so sorry to have forgotten, greeted us alongside one of the front desk staff members, Joseph, who kindly got us checked in as early as 8:00 a.m.

From the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the hotel, the incredible scents throughout, the comfort of the room, the relaxing spa and the delicious food, everything was outstanding. Everyone was so attentive and genuinely made us feel right at home.

This was our first time in Manchester, but it certainly will not be our last. Needless to say, The Edwardian will absolutely be our home every time we visit. Thank you for such an amazing stay. We truly cannot wait to return!!

They made a mistake with my booking, was downgraded, promised a measley 15% refund, never got it, the room was small, run down, rusty faucets, and not too clean. The bar closed at 9 pm on a Saturday night, the food at the restaurant was pricey, soggy and salty. Never again.

We stayed for 2 nights as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday. We checked in and Cole on reception was great, very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed. He also kindly upgraded our room which was a really nice touch. Our room was lovely with everything you need. The spa in the hotel was amazing; so clean and not crowded we used this both days. We would love to return again soon.

There was a huge queue when we went to check-in. Possibly 30 or 40 people waiting to check in. Very few rooms were ready and we couldn’t check in till gone 5 pm. We were given a bar voucher while we waited. The room was great all the amenities were fantastic. The Spa was a letdown you were only allowed one hour per room per visit and you had to book it. When I went down, it was absolute chaos with kids jumping over people in the pool and screaming. It was the most stressful Spa experience I’ve ever had in my life. I did speak to their staff and they offered me another slot. Breakfast was adequate but I think for £29 it was massively overpriced. There is no parking on site the nearest place is an NCP which is five minutes walk away. - not great if you’ve got bags and it’s over £30 per day
The building is absolutely stunning and we would definitely return but would have breakfast out and not go to the spa

I recently stayed at The Edwardian Manchester from Sunday to Monday over Valentine’s weekend. While I understand it was a busy period, the initial check in experience was disappointing. The queues were very long and poorly managed. Given the hotel was fully booked, better staffing and organisation should have been in place to handle peak times.
I had requested a double bed but was given two single beds. After waiting again in the long queue, I was told the request could not be accommodated because the booking was made through Expedia and that third party bookings are not prioritised. I found this response unprofessional. Regardless of how a reservation is made, guests should not feel treated differently.

That said, I would like to recognise the Customer Relations Manager and team for resolving the issue professionally. The next morning we were moved and upgraded to an amazing suite. We were also offered complimentary breakfast, drinks and dinner following another small hiccup. The suite was beautiful and the overall property is impressive.

We truly love this hotel and will return, however I strongly recommend improving organisation during busy periods so the arrival experience reflects the hotel’s luxury standards.

Salvatore at the bar and breakfast was awesome as well.

Overall, great spot to stay for business or pleasure. The only downside was they were working on their elevators so we had to take the stairs a few times due to elevators being crowded.

Really struggling to see how this is a 5 star hotel. The check in experience was worse than a 2 star hotel, was welcomed with attitude and just given a room key, no welcoming and explanation of any of the facilities or timing for the hotel. I was with my 2yo daughter and my pregnant wife, they didn't even tell us which way the lifts are and no porter help with our luggage. The rooms are very dated, the TV makes it feel like a teenagers bedroom just frown on top of a drawer in the corner. The fridge was so loud, the wardrobe hinges squeak and the toilet seat was cracked.

On the bright side the spa was amazing, the gym was average (a bit better than most hotel gyms), the reception areas do smell very nice and the bed is very comfortable. The soap and shampoo also smelt amazing.

The location is good but I think you can have a more pleasant stay at other nearby hotels for better value. I'm just struggling to see what makes it 5 star.

Stayed for my girlfriend’s birthday everything was alright until it was time for bed, they put us on the top floor claiming it was a really good room. The room was like a sauna! Me and my partner did not sleep at all! There was 0 ventilation, no windows to open and the air con was just giving off warm air, even when we turned it off or turned down the room was incredibly warm. We both felt like we couldn’t breathe. We was on the verge of going down the front desk at 5 am to change rooms but was too tired and worn out at this point. We ended up missing our breakfast as we was trying our best to actually get a tiny bit of sleep. Considering how much this room cost and it was for my girlfriends birthday (which I informed the hotel about thinking they’d maybe leave a note or at least acknowledge it but they didn’t) I’m very disappointed with our stay and when we told the lady at desk in the morning she just gave us a card for the manager and said to email him and that we’d get a discounted next stay as if we’d want to go through a night like that again. I’ve honestly never wrote a review before but felt like I had to.

Hotel and room was lovely, although room was not ready until 4pm so free drinks were offered. Fire alarm going off at 3am then stopped.. and the ln que for breakfast was insane as not enough tables. Breakfast no bowls, had to track down a waiter for a cup of tea, then check out got our room wrong and tried to proceed to check out another persons room.

The room cleaning was adhoc at best, and there was a lot of noise outside at night.

The toilet dripped all night.

Even Premier Inn includes a couple biscuits in the room you can have with a cuppa, but sadly nothing.

We wouldn’t rush back.

The check in was functional but not warm and inviting like you’d expect in a hotel of this quality.
The room was nice but the single bottle of complimentary water was obviously opened half drunk and leftover from the previous occupant - when I highlighted this to the reception desk they did absolutely nothing about it for my entire stay.
The breakfast was tasty but the area cramped and a supervisor was berating his staff in front of clients ; staff were bickering in earshot of clients; one staff member called a client a liar within earshot of other clients. Unbelievable.
The worst Radisson I’ve ever stayed in for sure.
