I almost choose “ Somerset “ hotel for stay at Bangkok , even Asoke , Thonlong or Ekkamai this time .
Overall staffs services good & helpful , even duty entrance or security , very kind & helpful

Rooms is tidy & clean, only the way of can improve

1) Hot tap water for shower not support steady
2) Washroom without plug for dryer

Overall I rate 4 star , will be back & stay at Somerset Group …

This was a serviced apartment and it would better for long stays than short. The room was large and had a washing machine which was helpful. Front desk became annoyed when we requested extra sheets for bed as I dont like only a comforter. But other staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall the place can be very nice however there are a couple of things to note . The swimming pool / area is nice but doesn’t get any sun . So absolutely no sunbathing here . We booked two single occupancy rooms. They came with a small (not double ) bed - which surprised me . One room didint even have a window in it and mine had a massive column through the middle of it . I paid to upgrade (no other option) - this room was lovely.

The room I was in was very small, suite. The staff have a very great attitude. The property is in nice condition. The dryer in the room is not a dryer, it will just steam your clothes and then you have to hang dry them.

Review of the single room. The property is fine overall, I just wasn't happy with the single room. It was an odd shape and felt like an extended cupboard, not what the pictures showed. I was kindly moved to an alternative which was slightly better but not to my taste - nothing cosy about it and certainly not worth the price. And the lighting was too bright. I moved to alternative hotel with a proper size room & bed, cosy and was almost half the price.

Fantastic Stay

This is a fantastic property, it’s not a “hotel” but rather a apartment hotel, but don’t be fooled the service and hospitality is top notch, with a gorgeous lobby upon arriving I immediately felt welcome, I’m a hotels.com platinum member so I received a room upgrade.
The room is spacious and had everything I needed, the kitchenette had all the supplies and utensils needed, the bathroom had a rain shower plus a sit-in tub, but the bed was comfortable. I will 100% stay here again without hesitation and I’d recommend this property to any traveler.

Just a side note, this place is off the main road, but calling a grab was no problem.

I love that as I was only approaching the hotel, one staff was already anticipating my check-in and immediately approached me to carry my luggage. Check-in was easy and got a room with a nice balcony facing the front of the hotel overlooking a mix of tall buildings and beautiful greeneries. The staff that I’d like to give a shoutout to are the men who take me to the Ekkamai BTS station because they’re the ones I always speak to. Very nice guys, on time with the shuttle service, and polite. I’d also give a shout out to the housekeepers for cleaning my apartment on the daily; just missed one day where they forgot to empty my trash when I needed it emptied the most. The hotel is close to the BTS and there’s a free shuttle every 30 mins. It’s also kinda close to the Big C, two nearby 7-Elevens, and Donki (a bit far but I like to walk). Con for me would be that the bed has legs that would move around very easily which is kind of annoying because it’s one of those light beds, not heavy ones that just stay in place unless you forcefully move it or it’s actually stuck on the floor. In summary, I’d definitely go back to this hotel. Maybe next year again?! 🙏

Quick in and out, good stay, getting to the room was a puzzle. 4 main buildings with sitting areas that have to be traversed to find the room. Other than the room size, stay was OK. Located in a 100m back alley off a main road. TukTuk to BTS mainline station.

Had a great stay over 6 nights in Bangkok. Conveniently located (walkable to Ekkamai station
and Gateway mall). Staff were friendly and helpful with requests and information. Very accommodating to a change of my room to a bigger one for the last night for a reasonable price. Service was great. Lobby staff had great command of English so no issues with communication. Facilities were also good.

Areas to improve:
- Breakfast could be better. Some of the food such as the bacon was slightly oily and slightly lacking in variety
- Wifi could be better. A little slow although still usable
- A HDMI cable could be kept in the hotel to lend out to customers who wish to connect to their laptops etc. as the TV channels are limited, and some English Channels were dubbed in Thai

Location is really not great, as it’s tucked deep inside an alley and the air conditioning in the room was producing warm air despite setting it at its lowest. Amenities are just average. Location of the place is pretty far away from popular nice shopping malls such as Paragon or Icon. Other than the friendly staffs, there’s nothing special about the place.

Super friendly and helpful staff who made the check-in and check-out experience pleasant. There's a spa located in Tower A, which is reasonably priced and really convenient to visit when you're staying at the hotel. The room was spacious and clean.

The location was also quiet and away from the noisiness of the main street, which was a plus!

The BTS station is also not too far of a walk, but in general, you will be a bit further from the typical tourist attractions, but there are still a lot of trendy cafes, restaurants, and shops to explore in the surrounding area.

Windowless Room.

I booked a room with bath and was excited to stay here as it looked good.

Upon check in i was told I would be in a room without a window. I stated that i hadn't booked a room without window and a window would be nice. The nonchalant receptionist's begrudgingly took leave from their phones and slowly set about seeking a room with a window for me.

After 30 minutes or I was handed a key and went to a corner room in Tower C, with a single bed, a single towel, small bathroom, no bath and a tiny window - NOT what I booked!!

I checked out after the first night despite paying for 2 nights.

If you read the negative reviews of this hotel you'll see this is not the first time someone has felt de frauded and given a room which was NOT what they booked.

Im a silver hotels.com member and a platinum agoda so have stayed at many hotels and have never had this happen to me before.

The gym is good, the pool does not get any sun at any time of day and is not as big (for lap swimming) as I imagined. Other reviews said the same.

Big gap under bedroom door allowing noise travel, no information given upon check in re free tuk tuk service to BTS or wifi details! incidentally the connection was terrible

Excellent stay after a difficult check in

After a difficult and stressful check in due to extra money being taken from.my credit card by the receptionist by mistake, (which was refunfed by the hotel a few hours later) it turned out to be an excellent stay overall. The facilities at the hotel are fantastic the room was exceptionally clean. The residence manager Tai was wonderful in sorting out the check in complication and kindly gave me a complimentary meal due to the unfortunate mishap at check in. Tai went to extra lengths to make sure the rest of my stay was stress free and the rest of the staff were eqally as professional. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. The location is wonderful but the staff make it a great overall experience.

Bad bad service. Very unfriendly overall. Very poor communication. Made me wait 2 plus hours for the PCR test results. Results came at 730pm and they did not inform me at all. I had to call front deck at 1030pm before they told me the results are out. Wasted my time during a very short trip. Also I had requested their staff Gift for a universal adapter to charge my laptop and did not even get a call back to say whether they had or not.

I book with twin bed, reception manager say single bed only?(He say twin is single??? I don't understand what kind of English is twin is single???) and ask me to pay more or go somewhere else? I don't think this hotel is 4 star grade and should train employees bit more professional levels.

Overall was good, but the door key didn't work once and I had to go down to front desk to check. And twice a breakfast invoice was slipped through to the room I stayed which was a bit of hassle to let the receptionist know I didn't take any breakfast. It was not their fault but just unnecessary hassle for me. Still a good place to stay and close enough to Ekamai station.

I asked for a taxi to bkk at 6;30 am. The eve before. I came to the lobby at 6;25 am and a taxi had not been called, they went about trying to get a taxi, i ordered grab on my phone and was picked up and gone before hotel taxi arrived. So id say front desk failed my needs .

I was disappointed I was given a room without a window, I was pretty much placed in a box. I stayed in Somerset Bukit Bintang several times it's one of my favorite hotels, I was expecting this Somerset Ekamai will at least be comparable to it but I was really disappointed. I will never book this hotel again.

1. This is the only Global chain apartment I stayed in BKK with salty water even boiled.

2. This is the only Global chain apartment I stayed in BKK without air cond at the lift lobby

3. This is the only Global chain apartment I stayed in BKK not allowed to take extra bottle of water

4. This is the only Global chain apartment I stayed in BKK with Thai language only on Cartoon channel

5. This is the only Global chain apartment I stayed in BKK without hot water at kitchen and bathroom sink

6. This is the only Global chain apartment I stayed in BKK not deliver baggage to room in time when I checked in first in the morning and return at night after dinner even I reminded.

7. The shuttle bus actually just a small van for 12 people, it is not possible to take guests to the BTS station during peak hour. I have totally 5A2C and another family had the same...already full

We booked executive room with washing machine. The room is spacious, pool is ok but nice to have a sand pit with a little slide. Will be much better if breakfast can be served with more options. Free shuttle bus to the shopping mall nearby, but just one way.
